I have won a lot in the past months BTC
But in the last month I suffered heavy losses   :-\
What do my trading friends tell me to go beyond this difficult period?

Be careful on daily trading and don't invest too much % of your capital in one project. But as a strategy I would stick to the strong altcoins right now.

I glad to see that a newbie has made a lot of profits when bitcoin and altcoins are making huge gains. However, don't be disappointed as to what you are seeing right now. You should understand that the market is very volatile specially altcoins. How many times that we seen a certain coin being pump so hard and then the next day you will see that it immediately goes down?

As far as trading goes, just like most of us here are doing, buying in this dips and then selling them when they regain. That's how the market works so I think you know what I'm saying. Plus you need to be patience as well, not all the time you will see bullruns after bullruns. Sometimes its better to have some minor corrections so that more investors can get in.

Have a good gameplan for any coin you enter because if you don't you will get rekted hard. As important is sticking to the game plan because it can be easy to deviate.

Yes, now bitcoin already corrected a lot and if Bitcoin start moving up then we can see corrections in all altcoins so it is better to hold only those strong and good altcoins instead of investing in all junk altcoins. I'm expecting soon bitcoin prices to go up so invest carefully in altcoin for now and book some profits if you already from your earlier investments.

The same thing happened with me when I started trading . BTC was 3700$ and moved up-to 5000$ quickly. I was highly motivated because of high profit. Then suddenly it went down to 3100$ . So be careful and have patience while trading.

first of all you are using the word "win". I  don't know if it is a language thing or you actually think you are gambling and winning some money based on your trades. in which case you need to stop that and start learning how to trade for real instead of randomly buying coins and hoping you "win" some profit.

as for the period I have to say, the market is actually in a pretty good shape all things considered. bitcoin is slowing down and letting people accumulate more at lower prices before the next rally starts and the altcoins are still getting pumped pretty hard these days. you just have to make sure to invest in them before the pump not after. and most people invest in them after their pumps are over already and expect to "win" profit.

I think long term trading is much better than short term. Brother, you're not the only one here that suffer losses so cheer up. We always tend to lose because this is how the market dictates and we can't do anything about it rather than just to embrace it and charge it to your experience. And what others says, just do long term holding, it's the safest move for now.

I don't think that we are in a difficult period what we are seeing is a bearish trend. The best strategy is to buy at this rate because the coins are very cheap and then try to hold on it because we can't go that long without having a good bull run. It's 2018 and people may have a renewed interest on the market once more. So that advantage of the current situation, buy in dips and when the market started to peak up again, then I'm sure that you are going to earn a good amount. Be patience and just continue to hold.

Ups and downs! The same we have it in real life, it is also there in the crypto market. This is the down period and a lot of coins are taking a huge dip, so you have to be careful in the market, better to either relax and see how things turn out in coming days or you are really sure of the trend of the market you are getting into. This would the best way to do when you are trading daily by switching to the strongest altcoins because if you keep going through to this painful process when Bitcoin is down you will loss a lot of percentage of your investments. It's not really that bad because cryptos are all still in the market meaning you can still have chance to earn just by holding your coins unless you got panic and sell them during the market crisis. The current market situation is very unstable so in order for us to jive in we have to be observant in the market. Before investing make sure of it that the price is increasing atleast to have profit.

If you saw that the profit was not their in trading then why you sell all your coins and turn you to lose, day trading is very risky why you should not try to invest in long term not even a week or a months or just it takes a year to have a huge profit. Here's some tip if you want then if not don't mine, divided by you capital fund into two let say 50% of investing solid coin in a long run and the rest 50% for day trading. In this case you can avoid from loosing all of your money. So, if you lose just move on there's nothing you can do and make a new day start of trading.

Well from your comment it looks that you have not been trading but just holding right? Because we were on a heavy bull trend until now, so you would have profit by just holding the coin, and there was no need to sell crypto to protect your portfolio from losses. Now the market is dipping, so you are experiencing some losses.

My advise to you is, that if you are a holder, then don't do anything, and just keep strong hands. The market should recover, and you will be winning again soon. No point in selling at the bottom, or close to it. If you are trying to trade, then I would suggest that you should review your market analysis capabilities, because you clearly were missing some stop losses there. I don't trade, but I'm curious about it, and there were a lot of warning in the charts, that would help you prevent those heavy losses. Just having a stop loss at $12k for example, you have made you some profit, because you would have been stopped there, and then you could just have bought again on the bottom, like many traders did.

just hold and wait for market recovery, these dips are a standard, newcomers will be probably panicked watching their portfolios bleed so much but that is how this works, just hold and wait no matter what.

Well the only lesson i learned from trading is , NEVER sell low or at a dip . If you messed up and bought high then the coin went down , Just wait for it to go back up and sell , you might not take a profite or lose a little but never sell when you are down by 10% or more. It's not a loss if you don't sell keep that in mind . You might lose time but not ur money.

    It is sad to think about the current market situation. I know most people are worried and panic but it is normal in the market that there is an ups and down. It will rise soon just have more patience and be positive thinker. You will not lose what you invest before if you hold it and wait when market recover.

Stop loss and money/risk management would really be crucial into these kind of scenarios and as being said these kind of things cant really be avoided along the way yet we dont have the ability to see future price movements and prices which will cause for us to lose up money.Instead on panicking then better to mind of back up plans and possible next step that would reduce such loss.

instead of panicking , why cant we just calm down and wait because that is the only thing to avoid bad decisions that can lead to regrets. Keep in mind that crypto market isnt going to be stable and the prices will keep moving at all times, which means the only best way to do is to wait and keep on scouting for the right time or for the right prices in order to sell your coins and get profit.

the current market right now is i think better than last week because as i notice , the market is now recovering and almost all cryptos are now back to normal.

It's very odd that alts are going up like crazy but bitcoin is lagging behind. Usually it's the opposite happening.

When someone buys an alt they usually buy it directly with fiat, so there is no btc exchanges unless it's an alt which doesn't have a usd trading pair.

Altcoin are still below price compared to previous one, they are increasing because with the increase in price of Bitcoin only, already the market cap is kept increasing that's why all altcoin price are increasing slowly. Still, there is long way to go to increase their prices.

Altcoins increase more even if bitcoin is increase slowly now.
It's Ethereum that is increasing hard and we are seeing a consistent increase of some altcoins as well.
During the bear market, the price was really down, now they have only recovered.
