To my vision we should mainly focus on a reliable end product, a good price will follow.

We have the momentum, therefore it's essential to stick together and focus on the long term.
And on the short term the appearance has to improve a lot, new website, updated wallets & a bright strategy.

An updated wallet with a clean interface and a reliable and secure chain is what matters for me the most.


Originally it's a POS coin (25%), with a good trading volume that seems manageable.
In this phase it seems a bit early for MN discussions to my opinion but perhaps on the long term!

I love the idea of reviving this coin. Honestly, I don't know anything about programming/developing, and hardly know anything about crypto at all, but I am happy to help contribute ideas and spread the word. I stumbled upon this coin last night and decided to buy a few. For what it's worth, as far as branding goes, I think it has a great name and logo, as someone else already mentioned. So whatever you do, don't change that. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I'm the entrepreneurial type who is always looking for challenges. I picked this battle because I came accross,
I saw a glimpse of a prosperous future for this digital currency and I think the beauty of blockchain projects is that we can all contribute.
Wherever we live... from the coast of Asia to the mainlands of The States. In the cold Siberia or just in a mancave in a hipster
enclave somewhere in an urban European area. Let the synergy between people all over the world do its work!

A few elements attracted me and that XSTC was still tradable at an exchange that I support and I just don't like abandoned blockchain projects. It irritates me.

And in the meanwhile I love the journey, you don't know where it ends and what it will bring. And the aspect of developing a project of
a ship that basically sunk... Dev(s) ran away, the old site was already history, but still very contemporary within the wayback machine.  ;)

I can go on for hours, I think if you have passion for blockchain technology you know the deeper reasons for yourself why you want to stick to this.

An overregulated world is what we live in... Everything we prefer to do anonymously makes governments suspicious. In the meanwhile we have to give up our
privacy and so on... the people created the ultimate countermovement, crypto currency.

I consider Safe Trade Coin to be a link in a larger system. And how it will be shaped is up to us, the people.

Hello! I've just been getting into cryptocurrency very recently, and in my research came across XSTC and was excited about the possibility of getting involved with an altcoin resuscitation. I think the "Safe Trade" name is very brandable and if positioned properly could really catch on, so that alone is a good reason to keep this alive!

Prowe, I don't know if you already have a use in mind for this coin, but I've been giving it some thought and have come up with what I think is a great idea for it -- a very practical use case. However, not knowing what would be involved in implementing it, I don't know whether it's a viable angle that you could develop or not. Should I just put it out here in the forum, or should I PM you to discuss it further?

Some advice i offer is please put up some sort of website it will attract more people to get involved simply just by having a site. even if its basic & sais something like "we are improveing our site, more coming soon!'' of coures goes w/o saying things like whitepapers & roadmap help massivly tho even just mentioning a vision of what you belive in as a project or plans or goals is great too

Bought in last night and was awake half of the night, due to excitement/adrenaline/ideas.
Most of the ideas disappeared in limbo, but some remained.

Small idea, from a creative perspective: would be nice to compare the revival of XSTC with the legend of the phoenix (arising from the ashes of the former XSTC).

Big idea, for the utility of the coin (I will send you a pm with more details): businesses usually correct their product prices for inflation. For licenses, rent and (other) service contracts this is normally done on an annual basis. What if their customers would be given the choice to replace this inflation correction with paying an amount in XSTC, representing a lower value than the correction amount in the applicable fiat currency (e.g. 75 to 85%)?
The customer (consumer or business) will have the short term incentive to choose XSTC, because of the direct discount. And because inflation correction is a recurring event, the business has the longer term incentive because of the increasing scarcity and value of XSTC.

Then the trick for XSTC is to facilitate a platform for easy registration (on or off chain) of the businesses' terms for individual transactions, and facilitating easy purchasing/settlement with XSTC for the customer (no wallet, just settling the position with the business by paying the equivalent fiat amount, automatically sending the XSTC amount to the business' wallet).

I think getting the CMC website to update the website and twitter for you would be a good start, I know alot of people when debating on a new coin click on those 2 tabs and if they don't see anything, they sometimes move on.

I agree that safe trade coin needs to be listed on more then just coinexchange. But anyone unable to access the coinexchange website (which I was one and frantically looking for some way to access my account since safe trade coin is doing so well right now) should go to the XSTC website and log in through that portal.  I just logged into my coinexchange account and all my balances are correct.  Haven't tried to withdraw anything yet. Andrew, it could be the problem is with your own provider.

Coinexchange & the website seem to be working fine.

The only thing that people have to keep in mind is that the market cap @ coinmarketcap has some delay with updating the market. That matter exists with all currencies listed with Coinexhange, despite it will probably be solved soon.  :)

We were able to hit the $0.04 virtually, doing good!

In the future we will decide to expand to other exchanges as well depending on the possibilities. There will be expenditures to join them but 'whales' willing to make that step can contact me.

But first we have to keep on making progress within the project itself  ;D

prowe you can dump some coins now to pay for the expenditures of getting listed on other exchanges. youre the whale pumping this coin with no developers. the website is up, you need to spread to other exchanges asap.

Hi Tim, in a community-driven project the most fair way would be to split all costs according to the amount XSTC we hold.

I can't blame you being a bit ignorant, please do some research, the expenditures of joining other prominent exchanges as well would be tens of BTC in total. And not just BTC, you have to be able to evolve the project first before you are able to make the next step. That's my main focus, getting the right competent people abboard and make progress and be able to improve all aspects significantly. Else prominent exchanges wouldn't even take it in consideration to let us join, keep that in mind.

Your reply seems more a way to troll as well, because if you would think rationally you would be able to think further then your conclusion. And your insinuation that I don't have any contact with developers who will be committed to the project in the future is not that smart either.

Hopefully this post saves me some time, the next time to reply on such type of reactions.

No worries, yeah if I could see in the future at the moment that I made the move for the revival. ;) For me it was a risk as well, because if nobody makes a move I was fed up with some coins I could hardly sell, that wouldn't have been the first time. Like I explained 'in a community-driven project the most fair way would be to split all costs according to the amount XSTC we hold.' If I would be holding a huge pre-mine it would be different I admit. But that is not the case, because I haven't created the original chain.

So after a while, during the phase when a solid fundament has been created by us, we can discuss about other exchanges within the community, for now it's not the time yet and if people want to speed things up and they have exceptional designer/programmer skills (for example), then they are always welcome to poke me. Such competentions will speed up the progress. Or campaign managers in their native language.

To my vision we need a top notch website in the next update with flashy graphical elements. People within the community would really appreciate it, a clear roadmap and not just for the image to the outside world. One we will manage to  achieve.

We should prevent that we knock on a door of a prominent exchange one day with a project that is far from complete. They will laugh at us, we need a high standard, so everything should be optimized.

Technical writers, native should enhance the contentual part of the next updated website and then we have a steady base to translate, else you have to translate it over over again, far from efficient.

Apparently someone sold a million coins when it was at its peak BUT the price does seem to be directly mimicking bitcoin rises and drops for some reason.

I wouldn't say it's mimicking Bitcoin.  Looks like someone pumped the price up and has now dumped it.  It's happened to a few coins that looked dead.  Shame for anyone that bought at a high price but it's hard to think of a reason to buy some of these coins when the price is high.  I can understand buying at sub 5 sats for a gamble but anything much above that looks too risky for me.

This project is alive and kickin! Even thought there was a significant increase in the price and the consequence was a price correction.

And especially when prices go up +/- 40x (4000%), it is surely evident that it would happen.

Not to mention, there was a huge influence of the exchange during the first dip, it was down for over 5 hours! And then it went up on an alternative URL.

And because Safe Trade Coin is currently still heavily depending on Coinexchange their internal situation hit the trading. At a sudden point Coinmarketcap didn't even show the volume anymore (0$) and the market URL was down for almost 24 hours  :-\ while it was still above 1.5$ million volume during that time.

Our Twitter has 672 followers in a week.

Slack has 512 users up there.

We also have a very active Japanese community and they already hit Discord to enlarge and serve the 日本語 community better.

People from all around the world gathered to be part of XSTC and this is just the beginning.

The question is not if we grow on the long term, because we will!

If you imagine what we did in a week, then you could imagine what could happen in about a few months.

I would never advice people to invest, because they have to decide it based on their own considerations.

You have investors watching this project. It needs more substance than a website with just a couple navigation links pointing out to the CE.io, coin market cap, and this announcement.
Most of the content on the website so far seems very canned.

Who is developing? From your post history it doesn't look like you would be that candidate. If you expect folks to put in more, we need a vision - and hype. Without those two, and seeing most of your post history (see boat, emc2, xvg).

Sorry for the harsh approach. I just cant bring myself to invest another substantial amount until this doesn't look like an elaborate pump.

I understand you're just being cautious, which is certainly wise, but the reason I still have faith in this is that if it had been an elaborate pump and dump attempt, he wouldn't have much reason to sign back in at this point with ongoing discussion here after the price collapsed the way it did. One would assume he would have "dumped" already and gotten out, but that certainly doesn't appear to be the case.

Actively developing the brand, and actively developing in a programmatic sense are two different things. Via post history, I don't see anything that eludes to being a dev in the sense I'm talking about.

Until I see even a hint of active development, I'll have to wait out putting anything additional into it. An announcement and quasi-website ain't gonna do it for the serious folks.

The group's admin goes by "Rita Sanchez", and there's talk of an upcoming airdrop and coin change-over, (to a "new coin" called CARBON 12) but it's the only place I'm reading any of this.

One of the options that have been put in yesterday is an 'Escrow service', cars, real estate have been mentioned...

Currently we have to weigh the options and in the upcoming period our community will decide what fits the best for XSTC.

We are now developing a new (beta 2.0) site as well, that will be an immense improvement compared to the current version.

I want to apologise for earlier comments - I have had a lengthy discussion with Prowe regarding the issues with Boat etc. At this stage we have resolved our dispute to a degree.

I dont think Prowe is a scammer or that he intentionally disbanded BOAT - I think he got mixed up with a developer who is simply useless and not progressive enough to move in any direction and simply had to move on.
This is evident as the developer spends far more time playing PUBG than he does developing the projects. This would be all well and good (everyone needs to play games) but not when he tells you he is too busy to do anything or will reply later, still uses pirate language etc.

The situation could have been handled better from all sides - me included. A little transparency would go a long way.

But the long and short - after a long discussion - I do think Prowe is genuine with XSTC - I certainly hope so anyway.

As the user above, I too will be avoiding this coin moving forward and will inform my friends and family to do the same.

I was concerned about this coin from the get go, but was willing to learn more. So I joined the SLACK group and explained my concerns in what would be considered within reason. Also explaining my investment history and current investment strategy, and why I was holding off but willing to listen and learn more about XSTC.

The response from the ones who are running this questionable operation "Prowe" and other admins, was to immediately remove me from the SLACK. This solidified my concerns and my fears that this is most likely a long-game scam for those who can be taken advantage of easily.

Anyone perceived as a threat to this scam are being removed and censored so that the main culprits continue to manipulate innocent people out of their money. Very poor handling by your team, I hope the public wises up and avoids this coin and anything you have to do with it for good.

All, please protect yourself and avoid further investment in this coin, until you see something truly promising first. DO NOT DONATE funds which will be siphoned out. If the DEV had some real incentive to make this work, he would be doing it in his/her free time with the coin as incentive enough. That is how a TRUE coin is established and run.

For those of you who have invested and lost, I am sorry to hear that. No legitimate coin/business would have attempted to censor newcomers trying to learn more about what the long term plan is. This is very telling and I wish you all good luck as you move on from XSTC.

Look at the end of the day, I dont know if Prowe is telling me the full truth, part of or not at all - but I have decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

In time he will prove it either way, for better or worse. I still wont be investing in this project but I will watch it and hope to see it develop.

For a high standard technical whitepaper you need to have the competentions within your community or you need to pay.

And it's very simple, if people are not contributing you will have more expenses.

There are too many people who think that others should vollunteer for them to add value and in the meanwhile they can just wait and sit on their chair.

Well, that's unrealistic. If people want projects to come off the ground you need a very active community.

There was no FUD being spread. I explained my current stance with regards to XSTC and I stated I was willing to follow along.

I wanted to believe in where XSTC might go. I did not warn or scare people off or tell them not to support you in the SLACK. I absolutely did after you instead decided to remove me for no apparent reason.

Your fear of someone being articulate with their thoughts is disturbing. The success of this project now seems to rely on you and you alone, Prowe, but rather than rising up as a leader, you have developed a paranoia about what everyone else thinks about you or is somehow out to get you.

This project should be above your feelings. In other words, please get over yourself so this project can succeed. In my case, you should have been mature enough to think it over before you started censoring your audience & potential supporters. Instead you turned into a dictator on a supposedly "public" decentralized project.

Good news I noticed on Google: the new website is ranking higher for "XSTC" than this forum discussion! Always a good thing, as long as the website continues to offer useful information about the coin and current announcements!

I agree with Prowe that the huge price jump right after his announcement couldn't possibly be sustainable without a defined product to back it, so it's no surprise that it came crashing down after what might have been the biggest holder of coins sold off to take his profit.

I still have all my investment and am very comfortable holding and being patient over the next weeks and months to see what Prowe together with this growing community can accomplish! Positive thinking will move it forward, that much is for certain!

For those of you concerned about some of the bickering here, I feel that Prowe is truly giving this a go, and it's just his passion for what he's trying to do that gets the better of him when fighting back against those expressing their doubts. I think there should be room for both viewpoints to be discussed, as long as people try to keep an even keel.

Hey Prowe, Im not a great expert in crypto, but I do have good knowledge of stocks and valuations, every time i look out for a company which is undervalued and in a turn around scenario, that's the reason i invested in XSTC. Every investment carries risk, if ppl don't want risk, they shall invest in bonds. But ppl always want high returns (they usually tend to but at higher price) and low risk.  They don't understand and never will. Anything may happen in crypto world, to be frank no one knows how to value these crypto coins, tomorrow this coin may become 10,000 Satoshi or we may end up with no buyers at all, usually it all depends on external forces many times which are beyond our control. We can only do what we can do our best.

I believe that you are doing great job, it doesn't matter for me how many coins you hold. You are still on this platform means you are committed for its revival, and I truly believe that. You are doing good job, please keep on doing and don't listen to these negative comments.

If they are shown as circulating currency, market cap will be much higher than what is is. I do see around 350 Mn coins are lying in 3 wallets which were not used for more than a year. If they never come back, whats the course available for us?
And also i downloaded wallet but it is out of sync, i created .conf file too, but no use. It shows 0 active connections to safetradecoin network. Can you help in guiding?

I was in around this price back in January before the huge price jump, and since I continue to see that there is work being done that isn't going to happen overnight, I regret nothing. I'm curious to see where it goes, but if it goes nowhere, I won't try to pass the blame on to anyone else.

Prowe, are you planning any MasterNodes in near future?

In my vision, we, within the project, should focus mainly on creating a steady platform this year, XSTC shouldn't remain a digital currency to just trade or stake,
within the exchange or wallet. Although 'trade' is in the name...  ;)

There is a plethora of currencies that do have MasterNodes but have no actual further purpose.

A platform in which we would actually be a third party with an escrow functionality should have the priority.

In the future there should always be space to discuss technical implementations related to XSTC like MN.

Behind the scenes there has been done a lot of necessary preparation, although the communication could have been better. Rome wasn't built in a day.

We had to create a new road map that fits our schedual better, that will be updated today.

One important guy had to complete his thesis this summer for his academic study before being able to focus on the project.

In a community driven project you have to deal with such things. People take everything for granted and expect a constant increase of the price.

To our vision it's more important to create a competent backbone to be able to make steady progress on the long term.

Loyalty will be rewarded in the upcoming months.

As I notice that the Safe Trade Coin (XSTC) 24h volume trade on coinexchange is zero. I wonder what are the reasons for the lack of an active trading on XSTC there?

I think the lack of interest in trading (buying especially) is caused by the lack of activity in here (bitcointalk) and in the others channels. In the Discord server for example there is no dev or user online since days, same with the Twitter account, no update since 1st January. I don't know about the Slack server since I was unable to join (the link is expired). All the communication channels seems dead or at least dormant which lead the potential investors like me, thinking that the project is abandoned.

@Prowe, you repetitively say that everyone is looking for short term profits and you are looking at long term project development. Where is the delivery? Has anything happened in this project since revival for more than 1 year? 2 months back after some gap you came back and said you resigned and now wants to fully develop the project? but so far there is no progress in https://safetradecoin.net/ updated roadmap you mentioned 2018 Q4 - 2019 Q1 - Final Whitepaper & Preparation Platform Development, now we are in fag end of Feb there is no discussion about whitepaper??
