Today, many people use Bitcoin for investment purposes. There are a lot of people who have paid with Bitcoin before, what do you think about this?

Actually I would be much happier if BTC would have been "useless" (as is now) when i started with because most probably would not spent them (I bought some mining gear, new PC and cellphone)  
Not complaining, I'm still in profit but ... you know ... could be much more  ;)

The things i've bought so far with bitcoins are some gift cards, steam games and items. Most of the products i've bought are with fiat. In the future i'm planning to get a bitcoin debit card so I wouldn't have to convert my bitcoins anymore. I sometimes felt bad seeing my old transactions from exchanges it always makes me think twice before selling it.

I will be happy if i can spend bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to buy something online because i can show many people who take the bitcoin into bad thing.
So far, it will not be possible if i do in my country because government forbide us to use bitcoin as currency to pay offline.

It is true that Bitcoin is more used as investment and less used as digital currency that it should be, because its price grow fast. I also think that the reason why merchants and big online sellers do not accept Bitcoin is because it is unstable to be used as medium of exchange and transaction fees are really expensive to make small transactions. But I believe that in future they will consider it, if the problem in Bitcoin network have solved. Personally I haven't used my Bitcoin to buy some products but I can use it to pay my monthly bills such as utility bills with the help of local exchange.

I bought so many digital goods by directly paying with bitcoin. And for buying from other online shops I used bitcoin debit card, once I did lots of shopping.
But now I have almost stopped spending bitcoins due to its high transaction fee, sometimes I feel bad for not able to spend accordingly as per my needs.

Today it seems the transaction fee is very low compared with other days ($1.12)....

Bitcoin is now suitable for big transactions and for investment purposes only as you said. But for daily transaction (small), it is not reasonable.

As of now in my country I cannot experience buying things with bitcoin as long our government process it where did they use it in any establishments as a payment system.But I can use btc now in paying my utility bills and credit card bills through online so it cannot be hassel to me to go in any payment centerBut now many people use bitcoin as an investments and its good to hear that many people deal on bitcoin.

Few years ago, 2014 or so I believe, I've been using brawker frequently to buy stuff from ebay. From kitchen items to android tablets and resell them here.

There's nothing special I'd like to buy online with bitcoin, because most of stuff that I may need I already can, but I'd rather see it implemented at a local shops, but if not btc then some other alt-coin. Only if my country worked on some country's own crypto.

I have only bought games with BTCs, a kind of virtual good. I would like to buy more stuff with Bitcoins, but I would need to buy it from foreign countries and calculating the costs of the product + fees + the risk of not receiving the package, it's a bit frustrating...

Seems I will have to wait more retailers in my country adopt Bitcoin and start accepting it as payment to use the currency to go shopping.

Depending the country where you are it's not a problem, there are many people enjoying a lot to use their BTCs to buy products, what is amazing, but when there isn't confidence between the customers and the post office company, the hostile modus operandi overcomes.

Before Sep/2017 i use bitcoin to buy some VPS, VPN and cheap gift cards but today it’s better to use normal payment ways more than bitcoin (high fee, long time and loss bitcoins).

Most of the products I have bought are digital and not physical, I have bought some ebooks and video games, but I have stopped to do that for some reasons, the first is the growth we got in the last year, which was impressive, and the second and the most important reason are the fees, with the fees so high is impossible to make any small purchase with bitcoin because the fees are higher than the cost of the product you want to buy.

I want to but i cant find a store who accepts bitcoin as payment and when there is i would like to buy my dream bag because i didn't experience having one in my life.

These day bitcoin is gettingt more popular, people have trend to exploit the advantage from this coin. We both know that Bitcoin is a convenient way for us to get money, although it’s no easy  to get profits. Most of us should take btc as an extra work to get an extra income which partly help them pay for expenses every daily life. Because it brings to most of us benefits, it makes us feel  more interested in using it. Most importantly, with the developing of technology, we can easily access bitcoin or crypto market. Therefore, the demand for using bitcoin is increasing.

the first stuff I bought with bitcoin is a gadget, just to make me feel happy from what I did in several bounties.
but, this current day, If I have enough coins. I prefer to use my bitcoin for offline business. I can open my relation from these.

No I haven't bought anything yet. But what i'm planning to buy is gadget like Mac because my husband is using it in graphic design. I'm also planning to buy house and lot in the future hopefully.

So far i haven't purchase items in btc. For me in order to buy something i need to convert my bitcoin's into fiat currency cause there is still no support for bitcoin as a payment in my country. So i have to convert it first and the things ive bought with it was cellphone, clothes and food. I hope in the future btc will be accepted as a payment in businesses so that i dont have to convert it everytime i want to buy something.

Actually, I've never bought a thing using bitcoins. We cannot use cryptocurrency in our country so we are not able to get things using it. Yet I would buy a lot of things using bitcoin mostly electronics so I can use it to mine and get even more bc. Though I shouldn't spend a lot because it would be a tragic loss when the price increases.

This is just a rumor that came out last year and no one knows on what's the real deal of Amazon about accepting bitcoin, you can see some articles that said they are about to accept it this year but still no confirmation.

It's more of a store value and investors think that the longer you'll hold the bigger passive income you can get in the future. And if you are living in the US, bitcoin is classed as commodity.

Usually I spend it for paying bills through our local exchange. No shopping sites here yet are accepting crypto as payment thus we need to cashout it first to be able to spend it. But recently I had the chance to use my bitcoin to buy a pre-loved products in Fb, its nice to see some merchants are accepting btc as payment.

There are only few online shops existing in the internet that accept bitcoin as a payment as of this moment and i think it would take time before more shops are created for that same purpose. I'm only using bitcoin when I buy some potential coins to be use in my trading. Buying a product especially a gadget is not yet possible here in my country because there is still no shop offering that kind of payment, instead I convert first my bitcoin into fiat buying the product. Businesses here are seems slow to adapt to the changes brought by blockchain technology and the cryptocurrencies.

Yes, i already brought materials in my house reconstruction using my earning in multiple method in crypto world, and continuous using it until i finished my house, and after that i could say that my house is build by BITCOIN. The reason is that still the bitcoin users are very low, and still most of the people do not have the opportunity to use bitcoin just like fiat currency for buying everything.On other side the bitcoin investors are increasing from time to time which is increasing the price of bitcoin, and that is the reason  the investors hold their bitcoin so that its price can continue increasing and give them good profit after some time.  I personally never bought anything using bitcoin because of the unavailability of such shops who are accepting bitcoin in their shops.

Recently we heard that kfc in Canada accept bitcoin to shop online but in my country we are yet to have that opportunity where we can used directly to chop for good or services. I am patiently waiting for an opportunity to use bitcoin to pay for goods in my country.

I've used bitcoin for physical products. It was a varied experience, because I never expected such an acceptance from the concern shop. I bought flooring materials in exchange of bitcoin. Maybe in the coming days most of the construction materials will be available in exchange for bitcoin.

So far I have used bitcoins to buy air time for my mobile phones. In my country we do not have any other merchants for accepting direct bitcoin payments. At the present time, there are not much places where you can use your bitcoins for buying of different sort of things. however, in the coming days, there are chances that usage of bitcoin as mode of payment will get more common and you will be able to use your bitcoins for buying different sort of things. I am of this opinion that bitcoin is an asset and we need not to spend this kind of asset as holding of bitcoin can make us wealthier.

I bought quite many things with Bitcoin in past. Most recent purchase was website hosting. I also bought hardware wallet and many small gadgets like USB keys, cables, phone battery and etc. But now I rarely purchasing stuff with BTC, mostly due to price volatility. And I didn't wanted to pay bigger fees than thing that I'm buying is worth.
What I would like to buy with BTC? I don't know. It's possible to buy pretty much everything with BTC after loading Bitcoin debit card with it. Offcourse, now it's a bit difficult to find working BTC debit card :D

Never. I have never done that, using Bitcoin directly as a payment tool because I mostly use paper money to shop. maybe in the future, I will try it too when there are many stores that accept Bitcoin payments directly or someplace using it for payment

I wish that everything can be bought by bitcoin, bitcoin now is introduced as an asset not as a currency and i think it will have a bad affect in bitcoin in the near future a lot of people are using bitcoin as an investment but if everything can be bought by bitcoin it will change a lot of people will use it as a currency so i really hope that people uses bitcoin as currency not just for there asset.

Bitcoins main purpose as a cryptocurrency is to be used as a payment method to avoid third parties.

But because of it's unstable value, innovation and creative minds are seeing that there's a potential to bitcoin if we will use it and treat it as an investment.

Otherwise the main purpose of bitcoin as a currency and payment method is starting to change because of recent problems, high fees and slow network confirmation.

Bitcoin is bad for buying airtime  and I will never advice anyone to do such a thing with bitcoin, unless maybe you used a different server. I once tried to buy airtime with Xapo, that was around 2015 and I ended up losing my money. I later contacted their customer care,  and they claimed that I must have gott the airtime,  which I never did. I had no other choice than to forget about it.

Honestly I am not discouraging anyone for not trying. But I suggest to double confirm before trying out. Because, fiat is working in different way from bitcoin is working. Even bitcoin transactions are visible to anyone, some customer executives are not understanding that which may lead to unnecessary problems.

I have not actually used Bitcoin to buy any physical goods. The most I have used it is for payment for certain online services, and I really prefer payment via Bitcoin rather than cards or PayPal. It gives a kind of secured feeling and knowing that your information is not been revealed to any 3rd party.

I used Bitcoin many times to buy services and some goods online, it is mainly a crypto currency, so it is normal that we use it to buy and sell products online. The issue is that it is not yet fully supported everywhere offline, so we cant use it directly to buying goods, but it is more used to buy and sell services online.

I once used some of my bitcoin to purchase a domain, webhost and a SSL certificate. The transaction fee then was really high and I wouldn't have used it if I had another option but I did though. Since then, I have tried not to use my bitcoin for purchasing anything. Though, I still wish to buy a new laptop but still contemplating If I should change few of my bitcoin to fiat for this.

By reading your post history you seem to be from Indonesia and I doubt it that there is no store that accepts bitcoin on your country for some products.

I have only use bitcoin for a few products. What I always do is buy bitcoin and sell them in higher price. I have used bitcoin for paying bills, buying e-loads, and paying my friends. But if I were given a chance to buy anything with bitcoin, I want to pay my tuition fees with bitcoin directly because it is too much work to cash out. The supply of things and services which it is possible to buy per bitcoin is raising but after I was scammed with a buying of iPhone per bitcoin's I didn't try. The scam happen the last year, but it made me too sceptical about such kind of deals.

I always wanted to buy a laptop and smartphone using my bitcoins but unfortunately there are no shops in my country that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment as very few people are aware about it and govt has a strict regulations on using bitcoins so even people have bitcoins in their wallet they are afraid of using it and I don't think that Government in my country will ever come in support of bitcoins.

Try to avoid private sales and scummy websites. I always stick to established sites to spend Bitcoin, and in case it's a private sale an escrow is recommended. It's difficult to blindly trust anyone since we as Bitcoin holders are targets, more so than ever before due to the higher price, but people don't yet realize that. Ignorance is the main factor why scams continue to be a successful practice, and with how many newbies are joining the crypto space things won't improve but only get worse. This isn't PayPal where you can reverse transactions after stupid mistakes. Transactions once confirmed are final and this non reversible.

In my country there is a place being advertised as a restaurant for bitcoiners. Where food can be eaten dine in or ordered online to be delivered with the payment option of bitcoin.

My BTC is in exchange wallet, its cost many fees to transfer, so I haven't used BTC to buy anything before. But, If I have enough BTC, and there's someone selling a house for BTC, I would buy it.

I use my BTC to pay for digital goods most of time, but I also buy some electronic stuff in recent months. I did not even notice that I have few electronic shops in my country that accept BTC, since they have online store it is very easy to pay with BTC without any complication with conversion in fiat.

Even if there is no store that accept BTC in your country why not ask your favorite store to add that option, write them e-mail or call them. BTC is a currency and it have value, for sellers is important to sell product and it is easy for them to convert crypto to fiat almost instantly.

my opinion about this is because investing in bitcoin is very promising even though this has a huge risk because most people who succeed from this bitcoin.

There is a very large fee for bitcoin transfers for goods or services.If you buy a car or a house,perhaps this Commission will be unobtrusive,but for most purchases it is not suitable. I would prefer DOGE or RDD.

Right now bitcoin is mostly used as an investment because the type of products that you can buy with bitcoin is very limited and the profits you can get out of bitcoin are incredible, however I have used my bitcoin several times to buy products but this have been mostly online, but this is not really surprising since bitcoin is an online currency and it is easier to use that way.

Right now there is no big acceptance of bitcoin for services and other products in my country. Maybe this will increase day by day when more people start using bitcoin directly for their needs similar to the regular money. Now, as the usage is low even the services started with bitcoin acceptance were stopped after certain time period.

I have never used my bitcoin because the price is so volatile that it is not easily usable in the markets against purchasing. I want to buy real estate from my bitcoin in the future. This time is not for using bitcoin because the price is below $6000. I have invested for long time and when the price raise again I will use it for buying real estate and a house for my family.

This is the right way to be using it I think. Keep it for later, and then use it for large purchases when the time is right. I'm not so sure it's very effective for small things, like buying books from Amazon or something like that. It's more of a way to keep money safe and gain value until you have enough of it to convert it and make a large payment. The problem is this that most investors do not use their coins for their purchasing, they only hold their coins for making more and more money and I am one of them. Actualy I'm using Bitcoin for buying goods all the time. Not directly because not many merchants are excepting Bitcoin directly but I'm using my Bitcoin debi card. On that way I can buy anything I want because the card is accepted everywhere,  in all stores and countries where Visa is accepted.

Bitcoin is acceptable for very few people. In my country cryptocurrency is banned, therefore I cannot use my bitcoin locally and there is no need to buy something in other country and pay them from my bitcoin wallet. No it is not the same. You will have to buy bitcoin before using it and for that you need investment, while using is different thing. Everybody will have to buy bitcoin if he use it or hold it for future. if you want to buy something and you pay from your wallet it is using, while just buying and holding is not investment. If you do not want to use you can also make profit from your holding.

To some extent you are right that investing and using are the same because you will to buy bitcoin for using it and for buying you will have to invest your money, but some people buy bitcoin nor for using but for making more and more money in the future. I used to shop before but now I understood that it will not be worth to buy against the btc and infact in future when the btc will reach a sky high price we will realize that the shopping which we are doing from btc at that time will be worth thousands of $. You have to make sure about the rules of bitcoin in your country in order to avoid something bad. Like in my country, it is not allowed to make payments with other things except local fiat currency. If someone get caught doing it then he/she will get a big problem with the police.

To be honest, I have never used Bitcoin as a payment method. Most of people who own BTC will not choose to do that too.

I have never used Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to buy what I need, but I have only bought gift cards with it. I have a BitPay wallet which I don’t make use of regularly, and last year I had money in that wallet so I decided to buy an Amazon gift card with it, which I did.

I have paid for many things with bitcoin. There are two whole markets that accept bitcoin. Most online shops accept bitcoin and many smaller private companies accept bitcoin as payment as well. Many accept bitcoin directly while others use a payment processor. I don't use fiat anymore unless I have to and that is not very often.
