Interesting..   And now if you can provide or tell me how to Auto Trade(Exchange) all these coins I would be even more interested in trying it out..

I know CGWatcher I can set all these up there and auto switch to the best coin..  So this is cool you have a one stop shop like this where you can do that..

Now just need a way to Auto Exchange all these coins..

Everything should be back up now.

I upgraded the server, soon I will have the other half on the new server too.

Also, to help clarify what pools are on the new server.

Any pool on the original post that starts with http://p2pool.org is on the new server.

As I switch them over to the new server I will replace the old IP with the domain name.

So any pool that is shown with an IP address is on the old server.

I will keep the old server up until everyone switches over to the new one.

Just set it up, testing it now with my little hashes.

Can you please post the command you are using for your miner.

Also, are you using a wallet address or an address from an exchange?

If the latter, then that is why, you have to use a wallet address, exchanges don't recognize generate transactions.

I am using a wallet, and also the blocks on your IFC pool are behing by about 100k compared to the block explorer.

my address is:
iQBwc7YnAtNXvSGnMGdSRPkz9bkAhNEcW5

and if you look on the graphs section it says i should of been paid, yet on my wallet nothing has come through. (my wallet is up to date)

Can someone tell me what client to use?

I compiled the one I am using from GitHub.

I didn't do addnodes or anything, I just compiled and let it run.

I am about to get rid of this coin all together because it's just not a good coin.

I am using version 1.8.0.

I see there are other versions out there also, which one do I use?

Upgrading now.

I didn't realize the person updated the GitHub account yesterday with the new source.

I installed IFC a couple days ago.

Everything should be up to snuff here soon.

Ok, I upgraded to 1.8.5 here is my getinfo:

    "version" : 1080500,
    "protocolversion" : 69001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 465456,
    "connections" : 7,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 0.71946908,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1386006463,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "mininput" : 0.00010000,
    "errors" : ""

But we have another issue, P2Pool won't connect to the P2P port of the client.

I will be adding a block explorer for each coin on P2Pool.org.

Also you can always use P2Pool.org as an addnode for your wallets if you are having trouble syncing.

Happy Mining everyone!

Bitbar went poof...

I have restarted it.

I think the problem with this crap is that people keep trying to mine the wrong algo.

I had a person the other day email me and ask why they been mining FTC for a whole day with a Block Erupter and haven't received payment, DOH!

I should probably post the algo type somewhere around the coin.

Or maybe split them up into sections? Rather than list them all together and mark each individual one?

Also, what you're saying is other people hashing on the wrong algo is facking things for the rest of us? Lame...

Yeah, it messes the pool up a little bit.

Causes a high DOA rate and some times actually stops P2Pool from working, like you experienced with BitBar.

I can see it happening, I know what address is doing it, but I have no way to really stop them or warn them.

If I can find a way to get the IP address of the user from their coin address then I could at least block them, but I haven't found that out yet.

tcpdump or if it's something simple like 1 person mining to one port (or even 3 or 4 to one port), should be able to figure it out with some tcpkills

Thanks.

I suppose I could use something like WireShark also to see what IP is sending data with the address too.

Never really thought about that.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Any ideas why we're getting so many work restarts on SPT stratum? I'm not seeing nearly as many blocks come through as work restarts, and accepted shares seem sporadic

You need to make your share diff smaller.

Append this to your wallet address in your miner: +0.00058207

So your command would look like:

miner --scrypt -o p2pool.org:9775 -u MFdqEmmo8a6mT6a8WjMb2BmKaQPrFx2PK6+0.00058207 -p spt

Keep adjusting that until you find a steady setting.

I will be adding these details and a better explanation to the site soon.

Perhaps I can make a calculator for it so it's easier for the end user.

Sweet! Thanks for the info! Calculator would be awesome! I'll be sending donation as soon as I break even on these cards. I'm making almost twice as much with you as I was with multipools, so totally worth it

No, you can start mining right away with the address generated by your wallet, and your coins will come in as they are seen on the blockchain

EDIT: So, you can mine before the sync is done, but your coins just won't show up until fully synced. You won't hurt anything or miss out on coin by mining before that tho. Hope that clarifies a little.

I give up on Grandcoin for now.

Every time P2Pool submits a block to the client it kills the client and P2Pool can't get more work.

I will continue to look for a solution to this issue.

Seems everyone is having the same trouble with GDC... From another pool:

"Warning: There is ongoing problems with communication between stratum and the Grandcoin client which is causing intermittent errors submitting some found blocks to the Grandcoin client. The issue can be seen here:
https://github.com/moopless/stratum-mining-litecoin/issues/48

If you continue to mine Grandcoin on this pool, please take these issues into consideration. We will be trying to find a solution over the coming days."

There are now block explorers for all of the coins on P2Pool.org!

To view the block explorer of a certain coin just go to this URL and replace <abbreviation> with the 3 letter abbreviation in capitals of the coin you want:

http://p2pool.org/<abbreviation>/BlockCrawler/index.php

For example you want to view the Quarkcoin block explorer you would go here:

http://p2pool.org/QRK/BlockCrawler/index.php

I will be integrating the explorers into P2Pool and also into the stats page under an Explorer tab.

Happy Mining!

I have to find someone who can make those for me.

I would love to add them.

I just don't have the abilities.

I tried adding GalaxyCoin but the client crashes and has an alert message stating it is out of data.

GlobalCoin I can take a look at.

What is PHS based off of?

I might be able to make it work.

Compiling then switching over.

Sorry for the down time if any.

*UPGRADE COMPLETE*

P2Pool.org is now using the latest version of Litecoind.

According to this http://com-http.us/ccdir/phs (http://com-http.us/ccdir/phs) , PHS is a fork of Diamond coin, so that might be trouble too.

What is your hash rate?

Can I see the command you are using to mine?

Hashrate was around 700 MH/s. I did point my miners away now for obvious reasons. I am using GUIMiner/Scrypt, so very basic commands build-into GUIMiner. Had not a problem with this setup with other pools yet. Can you find my username / doge adress somewhere inside your stats and what happened to the last 6-12h of mining?

Are you using an address from the client on your computer as the username or from an exchange?

And also, if you were mining in MH/s you were most likely mining with the wrong algorithm.

If you are using the SHA256 algorithm to mine then that would explain why you haven't gotten paid and haven't shown up on the payout list.

Not trying to be rude or anything like that but I don't think I would have over 100Mh/s on my pool if it wasn't paying out.

Hi, thanks for your fast reply, much appreciado.

- Adress from my Client on my PC
- I am mining 1MH/s as in 1000 KH/s = Correct algorithm, just applied mathematics at work.
- I am NOT using SHA256, I am using Scrypt as posted earlier

The problem is not with me, the problem is with the pool, maybe orphan block, no block or else? In 6h no no income in DogeCoin, this is bad news. No possibility to research. The pool web site is like a white paper, no info, no stats, no nothing. Please advise how I can get my money. It is mine, shares were submitted, electrity used, GPU 100%, Proof of Work.

I am confused, are you mining with 700MH/s or 1MH/s?

The first time you said 700 MH/s now it's 1MH/s.

I don't see your address anywhere in the logs for the pool.

You had to have been doing something wrong, I am sorry to say.

The only way your address wouldn't show up is if you weren't submitting any shares.

Can you please post a screen shot of your GUIMiner setup? And what video card are you using to mine?

Hi thanks for your continuing help with this and sticking with my problem!

I was using a R9 290 and a 5850 to mine Doge. The full hashrate is from 700KH/s to 1000KH/s. I am using my Desktop so that's why Hashrate fluctuates.

Here's the screenshot:

http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/large/828632522.png

As you can see, it is clearly mining. I just re-started the miner, that's why it says 0 share there. There were accepted shares.

The full address has been: DA9RKBz3ZJfvAE8GLcHAhhjT62StaUjRZD (alternatively I may have used: DRC9EJRBKdqGKbBSnF9vkapcPfh52Gs27h)

Here's the Console Log of 2 minutes of mining into p2pool.org, maybe this helps solving this mystery. Maybe the diff is to high for GPU mining?

The issue you are having is you aren't submitting any shares.

See on GUIMiner where it says accepted, it says 0.

You technically aren't mining if you aren't submitting shares.

I personally don't use any of the GUIMiner garbage but I believe you have to put --scrypt in the Extra Flags box.

I have no problem helping people out at all, with out all you precious miners P2Pool.org is useless.

I highly recommend you use a different miner like BFGMiner since CGMiner is discontinuing Scrypt support.

If you need assistance with setting up BFGMiner you can post here or PM me.

Whn i point my miner to the tigercoin pool, i do not get listed in the graphs and also i wont get paid a coin. Why is this? I use my wallet as username and 10 times checked the pools address. Nothing happens.

Any idea?

jude,

i'm curious about something.  i know when i used to run my p2pool, i'd have, say, 2 or 3 real miners, and about 90 random people on it every day, half with invalid addresses.

do ports ppl were using that left ever close for you?  or it may have just been because they still had me as a backup pool?  eventually the whole 1000's of sockets being used, i couldnt do anything else (and i had firewall set to max 3 connections as well)

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response, been busy with the holidaze.

Could I see your miner configuration?

We will start there.

I don't really monitor the connections.

I am re-active when it comes to stuff like that, kind of that "If it isn't broke don't fix it" mentality, lol.

By invalid addresses do you mean just random characters?

And I could see if they still had your pool in their miner it would still check for block changes and still hold a connection, so that could be.

I see a lot of goofy stuff happen when people "mine" with the wrong algorithm.

You would be amazed how many emails I get a month from people complaining that they have had their ASIC mining Litecoin for a week and still haven't received payout, lol.

Anyways, Merry Christmas!

I had no problems with GUI Miner Frontend the last 3 years, I started mining with it in 2009. As I said there were many submitted shares, the screenshot is something I took after re-starting mining, after a computer reboot, it is just an example screenshot and not something to base debugging and troubleshooting upon. Can you please check these addresses DA9RKBz3ZJfvAE8GLcHAhhjT62StaUjRZD and DRC9EJRBKdqGKbBSnF9vkapcPfh52Gs27h and if there are any shares submitted on these adresses.

Thanks for the tip with BFGMiner, I might even check it out, however I am mining into Multipool, Poolerino and many others without any problems with GUIMiner frontend (it is a just a GUI to CGMiner!!)

> I just re-started the miner, that's why it says 0 share there. There were accepted shares.

I don't know what to tell you.

Nobody else has had issues getting paid out from the DOGE pool.

PM me.

Server is currently down.

Host null routed the IP due to DDOS attack.

Should be back up soon.

Sorry for the down time!

Please update in OP as well :)

It doesn't show GME link on p2pool.org homepage. Will you update the site homepage as well?

I didn't know you were mining money.

If you check the front page of the website you will see it says to use your public key.

This is not your address, your public key. You can get this by opening your client and going to console and running getnewpubkey p2pool, this will spit out a string, use that as your username.

That is why you have not received a payout in ALTCOINS, not money.

I don't have a pool for money, yet.

I do have a pool for CASH tho.

 :P

This is not your address, your public key. You can get this by opening your client and going to console and running getnewpubkey p2pool, this will spit out a string, use that as your username.

The big paragraph at top says "Using your payment address as the username and any password". I realize it says to use public key for 2 of the coins down lower in the page, but people might not actually go down there and look. They might just read this top instruction, click the coin at top of menu bar, and then be mining wrongly. (Looks like 3-4 on your node are using invalid addresses atm.)

I'd suggest changing the top spot to read:

Using your payment address (for most coins, some require public key instead, please see blow) as the username and any password.

And on the rare coins that need public key, putting a notice on the top of those specific node pages too.

I will change it to say check the details on the coin below or something to that extent and I will put more information on the site also.

I notice your UNO node is running solo and not connected to the rest of the p2pool network. Is that intentional?

Hello,

No, not really.

I probably had my own going prior to someone releasing an updated P2Pool for it.

I will update it soon.

Ok cool. I think on VTC you might be solo as well, if you want to double check it.
