My team just launched https://etherbots.io and you can buy an exclusive presale lootcrate (and redeem it) right now.

It's a decentralised collectible form of Robot Wars, and there are over 2 million unique robots possible to create.

We've hard capped the number of crates from the presale at 3900, and hardcoded in an end date, as we're launching the full game in less than two weeks.

So If I sign up now, I will get to make Robots with 2 million parts ? and this will not be applicable if the early bird sign up is not done.

I guess the 2 million parts remain the same for early birds and later sign ups. The actual discount is for number of crates if I'm not wrong

Whoa you can Build up-to two million unique robots:-

Robots are built from a melee arm, a defence arm, a body and a turret. You can deconstruct your robot back to its parts at anytime.
There will only ever be 3900 crates for sale. Each contains the parts necessary to build one robot of random rarity. Parts and robots can be bought and sold on the marketplace post launch.

So they have Standard, Shadow and Legendary gold which goes from the basic to expert levels. Pretty decent parts to pimp up your robots to desired levels

Oh no , another cryptokitties type project ? This time you guys want to put a definitive halt to a normal work of ethereum blockchain , right ? You'd better to create your own blockchain for a Decentralised Robot Wars game.

I would like to see code please, lately a lot of games built on the ethereum blockchain have popped in.
Are you going to release a demo or a video of a demo anywhere before the launch?
Does early buyers profit from every buy?

Do these Robot Wars mean that soon the Ethereum network will be again totally congested with the fees skyrocking like with the cryptokitties? ;)

Code is verified on etherscan. It's still super early and we haven't promoted much, we're about to post some links to reddit etc so it'll probably blow up :)

We just pushed new changes to the site demoing game functionality too. Medium article coming in half an hour.

Your problem is going to be getting people to buy in after the ponzii scam of ethertanks, etherarmy.
Those shitbags are still offering tanks and ships to the unsuspecting!

This seems even better polished than cryptokitties was when it came out. How long have you been working on this?

What makes this project unique?

I really like where these projects are going. This one in particular. I'm with many others in wondering if you have a demo/video available for us to get an idea? I think this would go a long way. Also, if you don't have one, when do you think you will?

is there a test version live on the testnet or something similar? I will admit I was pretty lazy looking it up.

How do the duels work?

Since the price goes up every time someone buys one, how much was the very first one?

So is there a for sure best piece for each slot? I saw a hook melee weapon that looked pretty overpowered.

Frankly, I would feel much more reassured if the user was not a newby. Nothing related to classism here, it is just that it looks suspicious from the start. But just for my amusement, is this another "cat attack" on the Ethereum network? Are you trying to block next months ICOs on your own? ;D 

This project looks neat. I like the complexity and customization options. It looks like it will provide users with a lot of options.

What are you doing to market this game?

How is randomness defined in this game?

I'm glad I found out about this early before the parts get ridiculously expensive. Will the dev team be working on more and more parts?

Oh yeah this was needed. Move over cryptokitties, the boys are back in town.

Boom goes the dynamite if this works. An explainer/platform demo vid would be great.

This is like a boy version of cryptokitties and it's fun. But now the robots are ridiculously expensive... I may try it if I get my hands over some cheaper robots.

That's exactly how we see it ;) We have a big media release tomorrow. We're also publicising the entire draft contract + establishing a bounty reward scheme before it goes live.

I like the idea of this project. I'm wondering how you plan to market it?

I like the idea that you are adding more interactive elements to this idea such as building, customizationS, etc. I believe many will enjoy this level of functionality and I think it has so much to offer this market. I think it also allows so much room to grow and evolve.

Do you have any features you're thinking of adding later on that aren't formal and may actually never make the final cut?

This is a neat looking project. I am super excited about the dueling capability. Will you ever have more than just 1 vs. 1 duels?

So, that's why we have to pay HUGE taxes whenever we make little transactions with Ethereum, because of this and CryptoKitties..

Hmm. Extensibility is hard due to the nature of immutable contracts, but yes. However, they will have to conform to the interface defined within the existing contracts.

Some current ideas are:

- Different battling modes, i.e. tournament people can sign up for, winner takes all
- Staked battling

Absolutely. We're thinking of extending to a round-robin tournament functionality, where you can buy in and the winner takes all.

Exciting ideas, which features will attract so many people in the future. But' can you tell, Do this game can be played like a conventional game just like walking war robot.


 As far as I know from my experience with crypto kitties and after some days played it and it makes me bored.

There is no usefulness to own a kitty.

I can't do anything with it. 

That was our exact frustration with CryptoKitties. You can do many, many more things with battling. You can battle other players in both 1v1 & tournament modes, forge new parts from old ones, select perks & recombine or deconstruct your robots. We have a few surprises in store for early adopters too.

The main reason why companies can break up their production is because trade costs drop significantly as technology progresses. Trade costs cover the entire range of costs facing the firm between the factory or the office where the goods or services are produced, and the final consumer.

Etherbots is on beta stage, you can buy and play testnet bots, you just need some rinkeby ETH to play on etherbots.io. Come to help in improving the game, it looks quite funny.

I won´t be buying until I see a bit more, I don´t mind missing out, but I do encourage you guys to go ahead with this project... and collapse the Eth network again ;D ;D

My opinion, the more such applications to appear, the better. The more problems will be revealed in blockchain on the basis of which these applications are developed. The faster the decentralized software will be improved. The faster the widespread introduction of blockchain technology into all spheres of life. By analogy with language Java which was originally developed for microwave ovens. Before implementation in serious projects infrastructure Java perfected the benefits on household appliances. Therefore we will consider cryptokitties and their analogs a peculiar test technique.

Etherbots: Decentralised Robot is a war the Ethereum. The competition is tough in fact, have gone to the fourth position in the same national championship long middle distance. Both were on the team is enforced at the basket every Thursday. They met the provincial success and a chain of results in these races.

are people still playing this game . because everytime i log in there are 5-6 players online , so not much activity , though the game looks good and the bot parts are cheap to buy.
