More businesses are accepting cryptocurrency as a payment for their product especially in food and beverage section. In canada KFC are accepting Bitcoin as a payment and now there is a news about Starbucks planing to use blockchain technology and want to make their own coin that can be use to buy cup of coffee.

i believe this is good news for uses of cryptocurrency, which is the uses of cryptocurrency as payment would be realize in our future of transaction.

isn't it great? we're finally seeing adoption of crypto for business. i think it's pretty significant that the ceo of starbucks said bitcoin wouldn't be accepted there, because he didn't ever believe in its potential for payments. Raiblocks has been gaining steam for payments, recently headphones .com started accepting payments in XRB. i've also seen some websites move away from BTC and accept only ETH or LTC.

The idea is pretty unique. I'd purchase something with Bitcoin if I was within that area. The whole fact that people are using Bitcoin is excellent.

Apparently he dont know about the lightning network that is basically live already :) bitcoin is already in his place, however every cryptocurrency HAS to evolve to stay alive. Both BTC and ETH are perfectly aware of it

This is good sign for cryptocurrency market so the community of cryptocurrency and blockchain will be bigger because many adoption of it. In my country Indonesia also there are start ups that development platform which the user able to buy good and service by cryptocurrency easyly, and also buy and sell any crypto just using mobile app with easy step so newcomer in crypto will be easy to do it. Other than that, now many other starts ups also development product to easy to use cryptocurrency to buy good and service in everyday life. So more and more adoption of cryptocurrency will come and the community also will be bigger.

KFCoin , Starbucks Coin , 2018 - there are a lot of company starting to join blockchain and planning to accept cryptocurrency as their payment method , I'm not surprised that everyone talking about blockchain / crypto in near future , so join early = earn more profit , even if country want to banned crypto , they can't do that , look at South Korea , they only fines exchanges over privacy violations , not banned ......  :)

yes this is good news for criptocurrency users. But I think it will be difficult to realize due to regulatory issues in various countries. one of Indonesia that prohibits transactions using cryptocurrency for various reasons.

interesting to know. If they use their our cryptocurrencies. then we can find in future there are will be more and more crypto come out. maybe tens and hundreds of times now we see today.

I have some doubts about the Starbucks coin. If they need lower transaction fee and fastest transactions then they need to wait for the lightning network release, then Bitcoin will be totaly suitable for the micropayments. Issuing a new coin will be a bad decision because altcoins are more likely to be more volatile and can easily make over 50% change just for one day. In this case your money can devaluate on your way from home to he coffeeshop. They need either to create electronic payment system that can be funded with crypto or just start accepting already established coins.

This is a great idea because little by little is known bitcoin and use bitcoin as a means of transaction but what about the cost incurred to pay for a cup of coffee ?? if it would be more expensive

This is the truly the year where we see some major companies change their stance on cryptocurrency payments. Starbucks won't take Bitcoin now, but we can almost be certain that with the Lightning update, concerns over daily micro-payments clogging the blocks won't be an issue anymore. Now the real question is when will Dunkin Donuts start accepting and that's when we've made it :D

There was a thread that said McDonald's would do it now KFC. It would be good if this happens. I'm glad Starbucks wants to do it and even codac are getting on board the crypro train. These are big brands so it should be good. I wonder how it will effect the bitcoin price?

Yes it is a great idea to be able to spend your crypto currencies for everyday items whether large or small, but you are still thinking inside the box trying to get businesses to adopt Bitcoin payments. I received my Crypto Debit card last month, I can spend in millions of locations anywhere in the world that accepts mastercard and I can choose from 8 currencies what I wat to pay with.

I really like the idea. I'm studying now for my new local Cafe business that would consider Cryptocurrency as one of the mode of payment for my products and services in order that people will be able to understand what Cryptocurrency is all about.
Bitcoin, Altcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency are our future of money and out monetary system that will eliminate to much effort on handling our assets and this is the best time show then that the world will be transforming into cashless payment and trading.

I wonder if it can be  possible in Europe or in Russia.  However paying with BTC for coffee isn't that cool, because comissions are so high.  Apparently we have to implement another crypto for such payments.

Indeed, the people of your community will realize that we're now adapting Cryptocurrency as one of the mode of payment for products and services.
This idea would educate people the importance of Cryptocurrency and they will adapt little by little and then they will turn into Cryptocurrency after time.
I'm going to adapt this to my planned café business in my home town.

Bitcoin isn't for the payments for products and services anymore because they're likely as money exchange or valuable asset that is only to be collected and keep them and sell them when the price is very high.
My plan is instead of Bitcoin, I'm going to accept Ripple, Cardano, Stellar or any $1 coin that could be acceptable in my portfolio.
This idea would become reality when implemented.

They really are doing the right thing in doing so. The more space crypto currency will take in the everyday life of ordinary people, the more influence it will get. Coffee is one of the most popular products in the world. According to statistics it ranks second after oil. And spread it using a cryptocurrency would be a great marketing idea. I hope that soon there will be coffee vending machines that will accept payment for the coffee in the cryptocurrency.

Well that is good to hear if Starbucks will soon accept digital currencies as payment or to buy you a cup of coffee. And them creating a coin, well that is something to look forward to because Starbucks is a huge company. I'm sure if they will create a coin it'll be successful and many people will use them to buy themselves a cup. But of course a lot of consideration will take place if that will be the case too because the coffee we buy at Starbucks around the world are taxed.

Of course it would be just fine if this could really be done, but I think that until all the people of the planet can not realize that bitcoin is better than gold and that it has a huge demand, only after that it is equated to value and will sell and buy

It is sure that we will use cryptocurrencies in futures trading, but it will not be right for Bitcoin. We can buy a cafe with cryptocurrencies, but with Bitcoin, the exchange rate is very high, people treat it as a property to hold, not to trade. Moreover, the future of altcoins will replace Bitcoin and become the official currency in the world.

We don't know how far the cryptocurrency will stablish the world but as far as I know,  every changes that cause by crypto is totally desirable.

when you buy a coffe and you pay using a crypto you will already understand the benfit or purpose of crypto which is for payment  but this isnt the only use for crypto because aside from buying a coffee you can also use your cryptos to buy any other stuffs in many market places but its rare to see crypto being used as a form of salary payment on offline jobs that are not related to cryptos  although it was cool to to hear that idea   . only the asset use of cryptos are not yet figured out by the many but we can educate them if we want to  .

Demand is really still very small, although a huge number of excellent coins and projects are amazing. The adoption of cryptocurrencies in society must be combined with information work. For example, the taklimakan platform was created as a new social network so that people who like crypto can communicate with each other, with trading experts, can learn or spread knowledge about digital currencies. There is no goal to support a specific ico project, but the task is to create a society that is aimed at the use of crypto for different life goals.

We are seeing maturity in the market as times goes and i am not a fan of everyone creating their own coin to trade, if we are to do that then how long will that market survive is the biggest question, we have bitcoin and if everyone starts accepting bitcoin then it is well and good but for everyone to create their own blockchain is just ridiculous.

I faced the problem of money transfers to another country due to the fact that the western union is very expensive, but the paypal is just not yet approved. You have to spend money on intermediaries. But I was convinced that it was time to offer customers to pay for orders with cryptocurrency. This really saves their time and money for commissions and does not impose restrictions on the country of residence.

Still not that popular to be used with salary system unless it's related to crypto jobs. Like you its good to hear that there's certain companies who will use this system to pay their employees maybe not yet but soon  in the future it's not just pizza or coffees but some other business venues that will also adopt and accept crypto system. Where I live there is a place that sells miners and you can pay instore with bitcoin. You can also sit and have coffee in their coffee house which you can also pay with, with bitcoin. I am still yet to visit though.


It doesn't have to necessarily be "crypto jobs" there are many websites you can use to make money online and they not directly crypto-related. website admins have been able to be paid in crypto for quite some time now.
Or you could always just but bitcoin with your pay check.

In some countries this might be a breath of fresh air, and so do I think, but not necessarily my country will accept this, until now cryptocurrency is still being debated about its legality. As a result some places that can use bitcoin or anything considered as doing illegal transactions. In the future, I hope that the government realizes that cryptocurrency can be an option.

what is going on right now with the businesses accepting crypto is that they are suing 3rd party system which you as a buyer will send btc but them as the business will receive fiat. the BTC you send goes into the 3rd party which its them that accumulates all these BTC. basically, its still fiat that we are dealing here. what is to be done is that you and the business like starbucks sends BTC to their wallet from your wallet directly

I want to be able to shop with Bitcoin. But there is still a basic problem. Bitcoin is a voluntary community. There is no state behind Bitcoin. Large companies can receive payments with bitcoin. They'il turn Bitcoin into dollars! Bitcoin needs to get out of this.

Other than big e-commerce companies accepting Bitcoin as one of the modes of payments on their establishment, there was no news that reached me about fast foods accepting BTC or even a coffee shop. It would be nice to use crypto as payment as it will increase the demand resulting in its stability in the market.
I am hoping though that after e-commerce companies accept BTC other small businesses make some effort and follow through with cryptocurrency's adaptation.

As the blockchain gets integrated with more facets of the society, it also allows the public to know more and understand what cryptocurrencies really are. Actually people who always use the internet and social media or anything related to the internet network indirectly surely they already know what cryptocurrency is because there are already lots of advertisements or news about cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin that has been circulating everywhere.

All these people just want to use the idea of cryptocurrency for promoting their own corporations, without acknowledging the original inventor (Satoshi Nakamoto). It is not just unethical, but unprincipled as well.
