you can use it in betting if you have large number of bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin is illegal because government should not allowed in betting but this coin is Decentralised cryptocurrency so many investors are involved in gambling in this forum. This make huge profit or loss whatever happens in this platform. So this is risky and insecured investment.

If the issue of bitcoin is illegal or legal it depends on the view, because in a different country there are legal and also some are illegal, it all depends on the rules, but whatever the bitcoin decision will always be successful.

From my point of view it is illegal.It will depend on your own risk.

Indeed every country has different rules about gambling, and I don't think there are many countries that prohibit gambling and also my country prohibits any form of gambling either real or through online. and I think avoiding gambling is the solution of the right frugal lifestyle.

This topic been talked and asked for how many times already but to answer you regarding on what you are asking. Betting by use of bitcoin will be legal or illegal depending on which country you do reside. There are countries which do are strict when it comes to gambling either by use of crypto or just a traditional local fiat gambling sites. If they impose laws on prohibition then it would really be illegal once been caught then you would really face consequences but as of now i do see only few countries which are strict when it comes to this thing.

See Bitcoin is not yet legalized in only some countries, so of course, Bitcoin betting is almost not legal. I see before betting try to read their TOS condiction because they will be mentioned playing at your own risk because they never asked for investment it is our interest betting with Bitcoin.

I think it is illegal for some country but if we lived in the country that allows betting and gambling especially to use bitcoin for betting and gambling, then we can play without worry to break the law. but I don't know which country that is allowed bitcoin to be used for betting. but I see that there is a country that allows betting and gambling but they use the money to do that but I am not sure that they allow bitcoin for betting or gambling.

gamblers will not care about legal or whether gambling is in play. which must be gambling in the calculated bitcoin safe. because there is no personal data that we input during registration at gambling site.rules for us to break. we do not care li for the ban on gambling in the country we live in. as long as gamblers have access to gambling it will be considered a risk that should be taken as a gambler

it has nothing to do with bitcoin but it is a general law about online gambling.
in some countries it is illegal or not exactly legal to run an online gambling site.  so if you want to know about legality of betting with bitcoin then you have to check if online gambling in general is legal or not.

Its not Illegal but it is not also legal. Vice-versa right? It is not illegal since betting in bitcoin is not yet exposed in law or in our government I think there are some of them do it. It is not yet legal since betting in bitcoin is not giving the permesion or the permit. Since in our countries except China and Korea we are freed to do about bitcoin. Or about betting in bitcoin we are not illegal to do but the we are free and this is the benefits in our country.

Yes you are right. There are some countries already implemented that gambling is illegal in them but I think even betting in bitcoin is illegal but there is nothing they can do unless they ban bitcoin in your county.

I also don't think it will illegal, but you and me we are gamblers we don't make the rules of law, you and me follow the rules of law. In my view, every country has their own rules of law and behalf of law they announce that gambling is illegal or legal. But you have realize in most of the countries, where gambling is illegal to play in real casino but in online those countries have no issue for online gambling sites. Like in my country gambling is illegal to play in casinos but people are playing online bitcoin gambling with openly and my government has no any issue from it. 

Depends on the country the casino is being hosted from. If gambling is legal on that country, then gambling with bitcoin will also be legal if the casino follows all the regulation that are imposed by the government. The casino cannot accept players from countries where bitcoin is illegal or gambling is not allowed.

No regulator here in crypto you need to base if it's legit or scam in the site because even it's like that we still need license to run some business here like many gambling example of that is primedice if they scam us of course there some punish in that i think no need to question if it's legit or scam always read their site and always play in already trusted site here in crypto.

Well they should've been aware of the wallet's policies concerning gambling profits since btc gambling isn't illegal in their country. They can transafer to exchanges first before sending to their soft wallets. I don't think there are many countries banning btc gambling since it functions pretty much the same as regular fiat gambling

It depends upon on which country you are, if bitcoin in the country is legal then betting in gambling using bitcoin is also legal, not all countries are considering to allow bitcoin in their country and they declared also as a illegal so how could you gamble if you using bitcoin to betting in gambling. So, it is really impossible that bitcoin is legal but to used in gambling is illegal.

I have few doubts.

1st how they can track he won bitcoins in gambling site?  according to me, this is a tough job and I think not possible.

Suppose he works for any signature campaign, for example, Betcoin or Bitsler he will receive his payment to his Bitlser or Betcoin account. So how they will identify he earned it for his hard work or won in gambling.

I think finding from where he received bitcoins is not possible. And suppose if your governament ban Bitcoin betting gambling site, using VPN method you can access any website. I think playing gambling with bitcoin, we don't need any legal formalities.

If your country banned bitcoins or crypto currencies then betting inside your country with bitcoin will be considered as an illegal act,so you may be punished.But it is hard to find who is using the gambling sites using virtual proxy network,so there is no problem if you play using bitcoins even if your country banned them.

Which is right, even they (government) banned it all the way gamblers still will find their ways to keep on playing, it's really depend from the position of each countries how they interpret this system, if they totally against it, then betting using bitcoin will also be affected and will be restricted but if they

Basically it's human rights to do whatever we wanted but in government law there's some rules for you to avoid a punishment yeah the rules created in our country are to protect us - they said .... - just look at your own government rules, illegal or not it's up to your region rules. If there's no clear rules stating about the prohibition of bitcoin betting then assume it that its legal but if there's a regulation that says its prohibited then don't step in with the law if they say its illegal.

As I know no regulations about betting bitcoin legal or illegal, when that country not prohibition or banned bitcoin I think is legal.
In my country not legalized bitcoin yet, but some of my friends betting with bitcoin. They said easy use bitcoin for betting and their can play while they do the activities.

All forms of gambling is illegal, i think sports betting using bitcoin is illegal, but bitcoin itself is legal since this is only a currency to be used for illegal activities. Here in my country there are some legal casino but our government are planning to remove their license to operate because this business make more people suffer for debts that is why this is the best solution in that.

It's not the only parameter that you need to check.
You also need to change the current status of bitcoin at that country.
If that country doesn't see bitcoin as a currency and they are against it/sees it as a digital asset but nothing more, then ai believe that even if gambling is prohibited at that country, you can still gamble because you don't actually use real money according to the country.

Even gambling is not legalized in many countries but does that even matter. This game is still played by people from all over the world. Nobody even cares about its legalization. Bitcoin is also banned in few countries but if someone thinks, the citizen of that place have stopped dealing in this currency are definitely innocent. In the digital world, no one can limit action of others.

Bitcoin is also a currency so we can use it where we want,of course in gambling too.
Only it is illegal if your country banned gambling or bitcoin but most of the countries didn't ban bitcoin so it may be legal to play with it if the gambling is legal in your country.

As with bitcoin you can bet without getting verified or without sending any of your information or documents so therotically nobody gonna know that you are the one who is gambling including your government. So even though if gambling/betting is illegal in your country, you can gamble with bitcoin and you might not be entitled for any crime or legal offenses.

That is the beauty of bitcoin gambling, you can deposit money and later withdraw without any hustle. You don't need ID documents, you don't need bill's, and I don't know what kind of verifications. Gambling in any form is consider to be illegal. But since cryptos are not regulated by any government agency it is free from any accusations with regards to legality issues. Bitcoin has been use to a lot of gambling site here but none of them were restricted by the government and as long as bitcoin is decentralized no reason for it to consider illegal.

Actually, gambling is illegal in my country. Whether it's gambling using Bitcoin or not, but actually Bitcoin has also been banned by my country. So can you imagine how illegal the thing you are talking about right now, hahaha. But we must know that Bitcoin is just an ordinary currency. We can not get Bitcoin law, because Bitcoin is the same as the dollar and other currencies. To be punished is we who use the currency. And it depends on our actions in the currency we use for what activities. So it also depends on the activities we do. If your country and your religion prohibit gambling, then it is illegal.

It will not be illegal if your country isn't aware of bitcoin gambling or they are simply supporting gambling and bitcoin at the same time. But don't be confident because each country will know about bitcoin and on how it can be used. Most of the countries now are aware of cryptocurrencies and they are all making rules and regulations to it but as long as there's no clear directive about bitcoin gambling, it doesn't mean that its illegal nor legal in your country.

No betting is legal in any country around the globe whether it’s of bitcoin or just simple betting because betting is considered a bad activity which really is in reality because many people got their lives destructed due to this bad thing and no country in the world would like their people to die due to this activity which doesn’t have any history in the past.

Betting using bitcoin is illegal, because in digital world most of the transactions using bitcoin are not legalized. Other than that bitcoin are still decentralized so I think for no way for now to legalize all gambling. However, if you played in the casinos you can sure that all games inside that place are legalize but there are no bitcoin using on that.

I think you misunderstood your concept here. Human rights are basically those good doings that should be done for the welfare of some other person. Also the basic necessities which someone needs a lot are also included in human rights. If every person has the freedom to do anything which he wants, it never means that he can kill someone just because he has the freedom to do anything. This means that he can do whatever he wants to do but by putting some limitations to himself in his life because government doesn’t give that much freedom.

In fact it is depending on your country policy or your religion. If your country or your religion prevent you from playing gambling and it is illegal there in your religion then either you play gambling using bitcoin or fiat currency it is illegal for you. As in my country playing gambling is totally illegal either you play it using fiat or any other digital currency.

How about if some countries make this illegal since btc is not yet legal then we can't say that this will going to become legal because as far as I know som countries bans btc.

In my country, gambling is illegal itself, no matter what you are betting with. In the other hand, Bitcoin is not recognized as "money" in my country so that using bitcoin as a source for betting is "double illegal" (lol). By the way, it's really hard to track users from the internet, especially on blockchain so that unless you are caught hand in hand, you can hardly be punished.

Bitcoin gambling is not a illegal one.In United Kingdom, bitcoin gambling is legal. If you place some of your bitcoin in gambling means, you will get some if you have a luck.Most of the people in this world not aware of bitcoin till now,without the knowledge of bitcoin.They can't use it for gambling.

I like to think that once we get online it is a different territory which is a neutral ground, but if you want to be hard on your self then its a matter of whether gambling is allowed or not in your country, if it is acceptable then betting with bitcoin is legal .

Yes I think no country have any rule regarding betting because most of people use to gamble and they bet so I think it is neither legal nor illegal, if bitcoin will be use for betting it will case of issue like money lose and other this kid issue bitcoin is good to hold as some countries have announced bitcoin as legal currency so in those country maybe bitcoin betting would be legal, but people cannot gable and bet in casino and beer bars as it is considers as illegal places.

If i'm not mistaken there's no rule/law yet in our country about bitcoin gambling. It is not that widely spread yet so governments aren't making any move about it as of now but two of our local exchange site TOS saying it's likely prohibited. The other one even locking up the account together with their btc once they have found out the btc comes from gambling site.

Well a local exchange site prohibiting gambling funds from goig through doesn't really make it illegal. And if gambling online with regular money is very much allowed in most places, i don't think btc gambling will have a different acceptance. Its basically the same with.

We have very clear law about gambling here in my county and in our religion, but still people  continue playing gambling, may be the reason is that when people become tired of find jobs or do not have enough money to start a business then they are mostly attracted by gambling which they consider as the easiest way of making money, although it is the easiest and shortest way of making money but i think we cannot ignore the fact that it is also the most risky way of making money.

It's legal one.If the law is not stated anything about this, I am sure it was not a illegal one.Many people attract to gambling due to they will get real money as a winning price. If any gambler had worn atleast 1000$ in a single shot, they will addicted to play gambling at any cost.

It depends where country you live, because some countries banned the use of bitcoin. In some countries they allowed the use of bitcoin but they don't allow gambling.

I have made several purchases using my credit cards in the past and did not receive any cease and desist orders from either my bank or my credit card issuer.
So this must of just started within the the past month.
As for as the exchanges go, coinbase has this rule in their terms and services agreement that you are not allowed to send to a gambling website the funds that you have being held on their site for you to use.

Many of players of such sites have complained that they have their accounts frozen and even terminated by this exchange for breaching their TOS agreement with doing just this act of sending from their CB account to a crypto gambling casino site.

It is legal because if it's not I'm sure government are now looking into it and doing precautions just to eliminate it in the circulation. It is just that bitcoin gambling is not regulated and not supported by the government. What's only illegal is some scam projects that only focus in getting so many investors then after that they will take the money and gone in an instant.

I don’t agree with your statement because I don’t think in this world of technology, there is some country which is unaware of bitcoin gambling. Every country whether it is a Muslim state or non Muslim state, people are well aware of such beneficial things as they really are beneficial but only when we see and focus on their positive side. Officially, bitcoin gambling is considered to be an illegal activity as it is against the morals of humanity but still alive in many countries.

Legality is depending on the country's rule when it comes to something like this. And there are plenty of countries that are earning through the gambling industry so as long as gambling is legal on that country bitcoin gambling can be legal too. Yes it is not depending on the currency you are playing with, but will depend on your country rules and regulations. If your country will allow you to play gambling and they consider gambling as legal then you can openly play gambling without any restriction, but i have seen so many people who even do not allow to play gambling but still they manage to play gambling using unfair mean both in casino as well as online gambling.

That does not only depends on the bitcoin alone , there are many countries where any kind of gambling is strictly prohibited. I think OP is concerned about those countries.
There are lots of players, who gamble with bitcoin online from those kind of country. As gambling website does not claim any KYC(I don't find any) and there are too many gambling websites so it is quite hard for government to track also.

But in my point wise, some countries where gambling is legal but bitcoin is not legal in their countries that's why their governments not accept bitcoin gambling legally. But i agree with your opinion that it is not totally depend on currency it is our country rules of law.

Yes, those country rules are making them restrict Bitcoin gambling, but through online gambling, there is no restriction for any country because gambling is not country restricted that's why most of the people want to gamble through online only.

You already answered the question yourself, it is not illegal. Though, some countries whom prohibited the activities or use of any cryptocurrency including bitcoin may see it as been illegal. But another good thing is, one can set up a bitcoin casino online or even play online anonymously  because bitcoin usage brings anonymous. It is only based on which country we are from,if your country banned bitcoin usage then using it for gambling will be illegal.Or some countries banned gambling in their countries if you use bitcoin or any other currency then it will be considered as crime.

It depends on how you look into this. If you were talking about the law, I do believe that it is illegal.Why it is illegal? Boring stuff like tax, bill, regulation etc. But who cares? Absolutely it depends. For the countries who are liberal somehow they doesn’t ban gambling and allot public places to their citizen for making casinos there. But as far as some Asian or Middle East countries are concerned, I think for their religion gambling is banned there. The legality at the end all balls down to the gamblers place of residence. If it is illegal in their state, then it is illegal, either fiat or btc. The only difference that comes with bitcoin is that even if it is illegal, you can always stay anonymous, and cash out whenever you want without it being traced to gambling, unless of course, bitcoin or exchanges are now banned in such places.

Gambling with fiat and gambling with Bitcoin is not same. as you said to play gambling with bitcoin is not legal in many countries but tracking who is playing with bitcoin is not an easy job. why some countries allowed fiat gambling and not allowed BTC gambling means, in fiat gambling they will get income to the governament but no income from BTC gambling.

If every country banned the all online crypto currency payment acceptance gambling site like US government done on October 2017. May be they are regulated some sites only allowing to participate in the gambling site.
Countries like Vietnam, Thailand and US Las Vegas are having wide range of people having interest on the gambling investment and making more money. Especially these vietnamese people only go for gambling instead of job in high amount.

Take in look such situation. Me and my husband live in Serbia and he is crypto online gambler. We came in Russia few days ago to visit my parents and here all gambling sites where my husband love to play are blocked. Can we call it as illegal gambling? Every country sets own rules to such points, i didn't check, but maybe russian crypto gambling sites do not exist at all.
