Well you don't seem to get the logic of this question. Probably you are thinking too narrow which means that you are just thinking of your locality. If you don't know, there are places that bitcoins are illegal and there are countries or jurisdictions that do not allow or severely limits gambling as well. So there becomes a problem there. Maybe it is legal with your jurisdiction but that is not the same story elsewhere.

There are casino's that are not registered, why? In some countries they are not focusing with online business entities so they are free of operating and doesn't need a permit to operate but this only applies in some.

Illegal or not we should still abide the rules being set out by the government and we do know the consequences if they do caught us on doing prohibited things but still there are people who do resist and do still play no matter what. Each country do have their own corresponding laws and views towards online bitcoin gambling. Some are on neutral side some do already have strict prohibitions.

But i have seen a lot of people who mostly avoid the rules and regulation that their government have setup. In some countries gambling is totally consider as illegal but still their people are playing gambling not only in casino but also using online gambling site which is now more convenient for them to use for playing gambling as their government cannot get access to them to charge the for their gambling activities.

There are no rules in my country regarding playing with bitcoins. However, I suggest that everyone should pay taxes on the profit. Also, if the government in my country made its stance clear regarding this, I would be really happy and play without any tension.

Technically speaking, I should say that bitcoin betting is an illegal thing for there is no legalities on the existence of Bitcoin in the first place. No country announced officially that they allowed people to do online gambling with BTC. both are illegal but nobody can restrict these sites suppose if they restrict also people can use VPN and they get access to any websites. So if the country against regular gambling also people can freely play online gambling with BTC.

To track Bitcoin's gamblers, the countries must put some effort on it and I think they aren't really motivated to do this for now. Why on earth would I gladly go pay tax to a government that has been stealing from me if there is no rule of capital gain tax on my bitcoin conversion. I would not really be that stupid anyway. I can only comply to such rules if there is a huge law on it, and since it is not a good thing breaking law, I can either move to a tax free country or maybe just stick to this one and pay like that. Regarding legality though, you have said it all, and I wonder how government want to start cracking down on every citizen when everything now is online and you can stay anonymous.
