That is the right thing to do for now, just enjoy your self in other things and forgot what was happening in the crypto market right now because its hurts to see that my investment , your investment, our investment are continuous dropping.

Dont give up on holding, because if you sell you will experience loss but if you hold hour coin it is not consider loss that is why go around and find alternative way to earn money or to entertain your self.

I like the way you say "follow the market", but I would like to stay within the rules. For numbers, I think it's time to dump btc if it hits $6,000-$8,000 range. That would be my cut loss. I've read once, a principle of a trader should know is that DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR INVESTMENT. Hold it if it does good, be ready to leave it if otherwise.

Panic and euphoria are two destructive components of the market. They can not be eliminated, and when they occur they always create a lot of damage.

This is the biggest and quickest heist that i lived. People never learn from the past. Some rich guys with who are interested in money making and not technology are taking everything from the scared people who sell.
They use every way possible to create FUD like media or political connections who make fearful statements which are actually empty from content (see India not recognizing bitcoin as legal tender). They know most of us are not prepared to be brave in this fight against the system. I see crypto as a possible salvation from this slave life and broken financial and political system and i am ready to loose everything, every penny that i saved and invested because my immediate goal is to disturb corrupt system and see a new one in place. i'm not thinking "Not selling because i expect big return". I'm not selling because this is my (our) only hope to make it and like Damian said "we're gonna make it"  

I am not in a panic and I am quite calm. BUT! I am worrying now, because I do not have more fiat to invest. Will the price drop even further? It is very risky to sell now and buy back, when it is impossible to know the bottom. So I feel kinda stupid to have bought for my last fiat yesterday before this drop. Should I borrow some fiat maybe or just HODL and stay calm until next month?

I think to buy the coins at the time of their fall is wrong. I'll wait for when the market stabiliziruemost and prices will go up. Agree! It is the right time to put 50% OFF discount banner for Bitcoin as well as for alt-coins. I am bullish for the long run and I believe that we will hit all time high level in this year itself. Because, If people are aware and know how to predict their coins, we should be happy because we are not worried now.

The right thing to do now is to take risk at buying bitcoin because the price is really promising. It gives lot of opportunity. Let's just hope that it will recover from this big dump in the market for us to gain profit and not lose what we invest on it. As a trader we have to keep calm and just watch and analyze the market. When you are feel bad about the happening find other things to do and focus on it. Do not check the market every second it will not recover that past from the dump. It will take more time. Newbie just starting with this game, we wanted to purchase litecoins just before christmas, when it was at $70, it was a Friday and we had no knowledge and no ID to get verified, by the Monday the price had risen to $240. My portafolio is currently down 44% and decreasing. I entered the cryptomarket a couple of months ago due to all the hype and media attention. Not the best moment arguably.

What is essential is to go in with what you can afford to loose so as to have peace of mind. It's not that one doesn´t frown at the current situation, but until you turn your investment back into FIAT you are only at a virtual loss. My idea is to hold for sure and try to invest a little more (although explaining why is not easily understood by those around you).

Essentialy it all comes down to whether you believe it will recover or never recover. The former vouches for a hold; the latter to sell and cut losses and never comeback.

Believe is composed by feeling + reading to gain knowledge.

Nothing is guaranteed. There's always going to be chances to make money from crypto in the short term with day trading etc as, but for long-term hodlers there's no guarantees we'll ever see anywhere near the all time high again (or could take a very long time to recover). I think it was mostly driven by FOMO from newbies getting involved thinking they couldn't lose and this crash will have scared a lot of the general public away from investing again. There will be a hell of a lot of newcomers that got burned by buying in at the top and now they're probably just taking out their loses right now which obviously has a knock on effect and long lasting smear on cypto which could linger for quite some time.

i would wait a little longer though.
right now the market is pretty much unpredictable. many say it will fall more and we will have a long bear market but at the same time many others say it is the dip for the next leg up to reach a new ATH.

i say i am a BitcoinHodler, i am going to HODL for the time being and when things became clearer then i start making decisions about what to do with my extra cash.

Yes that is true! Also I am a trader now a days I buy many Bitcoin. Let your Bitcoin grow in your wallet don't sell it immediately, just let the Bitcoin in your wallet and find other ways to earn Bitcoin. I think now is the time to challenge everyone's mental qualities, to see who has no patience, to see who is not calm enough, even though there are a lot of people who say do not panic, now is a good time to buy, but when you see bitcoin prices more than once there are still people who are scared and hesitant when it falls so much that I will not be watching bitcoin for some time and I will find something else to divert my attention so that I can invest more calmly in bitcoin . :)

I think that's a great idea. Yes we should keep calm, this is the only part of the cryptocurrency marketing and this is normal. Everyone is already panicking and it cause of panic selling. Why we do grab the chance to buy more bitcoin or cryptocurrency. I think this is the day of buying of bitcoin and it is our chance already to have a good profits in the future. Let us know that bitcoin will quick dump in this month and it will grow or pump again in the future, In my advice, we should hold and buy more. I think for true traders now is a great time to buy as much bitcoin. I think the current price is now where it will be a time to be answered at a later date where bitcoin prices will have a very high price. so I agree as you say stay calm while drinking coffee to await a very profitable result later.

Not just for 'true' traders, but everyone who wants to ditch his slavery/debt currency for something revolutionary that breaks through all garbage coming from the government. It's impossible to say where the bottom is, but if you just keep buying in smaller fractions all the way down, you'll be able to buy at near bottom levels, which is something that you'll praise yourself for once we're going back up again. While noobs gets shaken off the table, others who see this price as an opportunity start entering. In other words, losers out, winners in.

Now is the time to invest because bitcoin is at its lowest price already. Its at around 8k at this moment and by the time I am typing this post, some coins are already starting to rise up again. Congrats to those who bought at its lowest price. If you are a professional trader, you know that the best time to get profit is if the market is going down. Prices have started to recover and now smart people have started to buy the btc. All the FUD which was created crashed the market and those who had sold in this panic situation will realize that they will be in a loss in coming days unless they have started to buy the coins. It is the best opportunity to buy different coins as most of them are trading at a low.

I would not prefer coffee because it makes me even nervous. I am not into trading buy the saying "Don't follow your ideas, follow the market!" is very deep for me. Is the market overpowering the trader? Or maybe, it is the natural event that makes a good trader good if he/she understands the way of the market.

This trader's advice should be keep in mind again this time, I guess currently many hodlers are in trouble torn between cutting loss or wait for recovery due to big loss on how market moves, while some already panic sell and save whatever amount left in their cryptowallet in past few weeks. You are right. For this reason I had placed days ago a nice 2 BTC buy order at 8000$ to buy the upcoming dip. I made just one little mistake. This morning as I saw everything crumbling I have panic deleted that order. Emotions have defeated my rational decision. The result: I have missed a profit of at least 1500$.

yes .. the truth is this condition is awaited, where all the value of coins in crypto become cheap. This is a good time to buy, for future benefits. The important thing is we have to be patient. Yes you can still gain something through short term trading during this kind of market value but I would prefer holding my coins rather than risking my holdings just to make money out of a bad market graph. But it also depends on the person if where you are comfortable with trading because there are some who really could make money through short term trading.

Nice say in short don't panicking about the value.  Many of traders was always sell panicking when they saw the value was falling down they don't know what are they doing if they sell or not. So nice said that relax don't worry if it falling down or rising up the value so this is the right to start not to sell but to buy and hold for the upcomming rising the value.

Yes, this is what I'm doing right now, I don't stress out myself looking always on the price of my coins in the market. I focus myself on doing bounty campaigns here in the forum, I am working hard to get more coins to hold. I also relax myself on doing such things that I used to do before. Things are very much disturbed and if you will not make yourself calm, then things will get even worst. You actually need to relax your mind and you need to think of something other than that of crypto currencies for a while. Take a break and hope for some good event to happen.

That's what I did this last few days when everything had crash and it hurts seeing your portfolio experience a big loss. I'd stay away from my blockfolio like I wanted it to uninstall but eventually I didn't and I can't. ;D
I kept myself busy so I won't think cryptos, I hang it with my family, went to mall and unwind and now that I'm back, it surprise me that the market is slowly recovering again while the good news about cryptos are everywhere.

It is precisely in these kind of moments where fortunes are made, people that are too afraid of the drop in the market begin to sell all their coins at good prices you only need to buy them and hold for some time then the very same people will enter the market again when it has recovered, they will lose money but you will earn it.

Checking the history of btc since 2016 and 2017, a crash like this is normal, actually this crash is lower than 2016 and 2017, if this doesn't make you buy and invest, I don't know what will.

Grab the opportunity to buy more whenever the market is down so you will have more profts once prices goes back up. :)

I am doing exactly that. I sold some of my coins when the price was around $12,000 per coin and I will wait for at least 2-3 months before selling anymore of my coins. I have done panic selling in the past, and don't want to do that ever again.

But you know that currently bitcoin price is still under $10k and if your target price is $17k of course you should hold your bitcoin. we have already reached that price in january but the correction came and made the price go down very deep but you know that correction is a normal right ? so don't because of that we feel panic, we must be patient waiting for bitcoin price to return to its original price, as at the end of last year it reached $19k and it is very likely to happen again

Currently btc has returned to 9,400 usdt, and the bounce to 10,000Usdt is likely to occur in this downtrend, before falling below the 4000 usdt range and further down in the chart to about 2,800 usdt!
Keeping latches out to Usdt now and buying cheap can be too right :)

You  correctly say - do not panic, buy coins, while they are cheap.  This is a good way to make a fortune.  But mostly people are prone to the psychology of the crowd.  The second factor is that there is simply no money available to buy coins.  For such cases, we  need to leave free money always.

People are emotional because they are invested more than they can afford to lose that is the reason for panic selling but as an investment we need to only invest the amount that can be affordable then we can follow that advice of keep calm and take coffee if you didn't follow that then panic and panic will be the result.

This is true as the trader is implying to buy the dip and take the chance to buy your prospective alt coins at a lower price. Don't panic and never sell your digital currencies during crisis because its market price will still grow back. So just relax, hodl, and buy the dip.

What this major dip told us is that it is not as simple as "Buy when there is a dip, afraid people sell during those times" because the first wave of the dip seemed low, until the second, harder wave hit and shown us that the first one wasn't as bad.

Many people are sharing their experiences in cryptos here and listening to it is a good choice. They share things from their own experiences but we do not have to rely on it because we do not know if it is truly their experience or they are just making stories. I am not generalizing but we have to be aware that there are some who made things up so that they can post something in the forum. Thanks to the merit and moderators, these kinds of posts are reduced. It is much better if we will have our experience and develop our own method or strategy of earning from doing trading. Not all traders become successful, only those who give time and effort in understanding trading and other related things to it succeed. It is our choice if which one we are going to be, just a trader or a successful trader.

I believe one must do their own research, separate facts from hearsay so that we won't be misguided or confused.  We can learn stuff from others experience but we must always see if that is a good learning.  I do agree, during the time of dip the best thing is to buy. I believe it is a bit late to short now so buying it from extra fund is better.

But those who still have extra fund s at point of thinking of how much will still dump, better really do research f that coin you wanted to buy, and see its history on how much it dips before, buying is the only thing good at this point, better buy than lose those coins we hold for long. You do not really need to check your bitcoin every hour or even every other day, if you are holding for the long term you still need to check your coins periodically maybe once a month, that way you can check how your investment is going and if something fishy is happening which your stored coins.

Well coffee sometimes brings anxiety to people so i'd skip on the coffee but i'm ready to ride out whatever's coming our way here. I don't even mind looking at the price plummetting. I'm past that stage right now and basically i'm just looking at it as a long term investment that may take a little longer to reap the rewards.

I am a little more relaxed because I have reduced my investments in Bitcoin, and Bitcoin will not regain its reputation as long as it does not go down to $ 10,000. Yes, I think the biggest problem is still not new investors. So big companies and brands should support Bitcoin.

It actually depends on your risk appetite, so yeah it could've been the better choice vs cashing out sometime lower.
