Everyone knows the current market situation. BTC and Eth has fallen badly and all alt coins are bleeding. Do you think its time to buy more? Will BTC fall further to $5000 as predicted by many experts? and when do you see market stabilizing again?

A lot of people expect another crash for the Chinese New Year. But either way, I think it's gonna take a month at least to more or less stabilize. So far, we wait.

chinese people need some cash for holiday so all of them seling now.
Looks like we will not going upside until chinese holiday ends.

I do not know about February, but experts say that in 5 years bitcoin will cost 1 million dollars...

So more or less a few months till it fully stabilizes again then.

I am expecting a change of situations in the market. Basically, a break from all this dip issues on exchanges.

Most probably the middle of march in 2018 the crypto market value raised again according to crypto specialist prediction. bitcoin will hit again 20k$ . so don't worry about the recent situation.

February started really fast and bloody. I never though that we are going to hit 7xxx usd in february.
this is really shocking and i am only looking at charts.

Since BTC already reach $7k today, there is a big chance it will dip to $5k or lesser down to $3k before it goes up again. If we base it from the previous year's data, BTC was about $3k before it started to go up. So I guess it should be the same this year. Be ready to buy when it reaches $5k or less.

For me februar is month to buy more crypto because all is down and red, and march-aprill will be good to sell :) buy at low sell at high .

We are going down folks and I have no fiat to buy anything at the moment because I am bagholding all the coins so for me this is a humongous loss all round. Those who sold in the high are the lucky ones because they can come now in the market and scoop up everything soon for next to nothing but we holders and those who sold at a loss are the losers. I am holding though rather than selling for a loss because I have hope one day things might get better.

i'm not really liking the beginning of februari right now. but it can hopefulle only be better then januari. crypto is taking a very hard hit but it can take a punch. hope we recover as soon as possible

in my opinion market will stabilize in max 2 months.About buying i think it will drop to 6500 or 7k not much more than that.

I do not really know it later but see some groups give a lot of information that is sure to now be down again, but they say to buy some too because any prediction or analysis is not always true because cryptocurrency is decentral.

It is still pretty risky to buy more BTC because the general situation is still unclear. For example if Tether will be completely erased there wil be another wave of FUD that will push bitcoin even lower. The only thing I want you to remember is that  if the bubble is blowing up it doesn't mean that the currency will die. The price may probably get lower but the further developement is guaranteed. The same thing was with dotcom bublbe.

No one can predict the future so it's not wise to ask it here. People can just speculate about this anyway.  And I think it's still a bad idea to buy bitcoin right now because the market just won't stop dropping. Except if you are planning to hold it for months then yeah this is a the right time to buy.
In my opinion, I think bitcoin might fall to as low as $6.8k and then rising steadily right after that. Maybe this blood-bath incident will over after chinese new year, or maybe even before the chinese new year. I think between middle February / early March, the cryptocurrencies market will be normal again.

I don't think it's right to buy bitcoin now. Because many countries have been in the new year now. A new market will not appear until the new year. Or wait and see

It may decrease to $6000 at most for me. It is correction, not about bubble. It has been expected. But lots of people are newbie, they bought btc at very high prices.

Economic status will always play a big role in the market. I believe last December it was the highest price for btc. Might as well it gives time to lower down to enjoy its benefits when major investors need to spend for there other purposes. The law of supply and demand will always take part in every market price. Patience is also a big role in investment. We all hope it will get better this February or  patiently wait for months or a year.

I honestly doubt that bitcoin could fall below $ 5,000. Up to 3000 dollars, he definitely will not fall, in my opinion.

I keep reading comments and articles about near future of crypto and most of them agree that markets will start to recover slowly with the start of spring so we can expect some little movements through the end of this month.

After February 21st it will raise again because many experts are predict the cryptocurrency strategy. The Chinese festival also one of the reason to fall in the market it is just a temporary fall so this is time to buy more Bitcoin and Ethereum.
It will raise double in next two month. So don't wait for the crypto investment you only loose your profit.

Base from what I read, many Chinese nationality are planning to sell their coins that they have and most of their coins are bitcoin. They are selling their coins because of the upcoming Chinese New Year that will start on Feb 15 and ends on Feb 17. But so far, we just need to wait and see what will happen hopefully it will be a good one but as the data and info are gathered from people then we can conclude that it will be stable in some number of months right now.

Nobody knows what will happen this month but some said that it will still not be stable as we wanted it to be. One factor is because of the chinese people who are planning to sell their coins for the upcoming Chinese New Year on Feb. 15, and by that the price of the bitcoin will still not be stabilized, more or less it will take some weeks or months to be stable like what we wanted to be. But, so far we just need to wait and see what will happen, let's just be positive.

Many predictions now appear. And the only thing we can do now is to trust ourselves. We do not know how long it will last. But this is a good time to buy bitcoins because the price is really down to now. So let's consider it the chances that bitcoins give us.

This crash is most anticipated due to recent events and last year growth market went to all time high but staying there is nt so easy for bitcoin this is testing time for bitcoin to reach next time all time high so we can see downfall all this month and expect spike in april but bitcoin will reach 25 thousand dollars by year end

If you have a lot of money it's time to buy coins or altcoins because everything will be back and stable again.

no one knows the state of the market in this february month. but clearly the current price is getting down. and my predictions of bitcoin and altcoin prices will be much more down than this. so it's not your time to buy.

I believe that it will take a month more and then it will start rising again. I think we can see that $20k mark for btc in end march or april 2018. It's time to buy more and hold.

I believe in stabilisation. I just hold and hold. Also I even invest in some projects and buy some alts, so I'll be able to get x3-5 when the market will restore. I think that I'm not the only person following such a strategy. Selling everything now isn't a way in my opinion.

Experts? Careful who you call experts. I doubt there are very many actual trading experts when it comes to Bitcoin. Most of the mainstream media reports are looking at traders with only a few years of experience, when a real expert should have been around trading Bitcoin for at least 5 years (it was a new market after all).

Even Bloomberg stopped trying to predict already, they realized they just cannot apply all their expertise into crypto. Look at all of us posting here in our post history. Who has been right even 70% of the time?

I don't know man , when  the BTC price is around $10000, I thought it's the bottom,I bought half of my money ,but the truth taught me a good lesson.

Many people say that January is a bad month for crypto and we all seen it, bleeding for almost a month. I think until the end of winter and everything will be at about the same level. And in the spring there will be a rise in all markets. As far as I know, this is a regularity.

There is always winter sometimes for the markets. We're in a bear market and the trend is negative but this will change very soon for sure.

I heard many people forecast the price will go to $5000,I can't figure it out , I feel it can't be so low , I suppose there is a big dump then a big pump will come in February.

Personally, I feel Bitcoin will start to recover by end of Feb. That is when the Chinese finish their New Year holidays. I guess in Mar, everyone will forget about the bloodbath in Feb.

This is a good time to buy bitcoin because its price is decreasing. I think one month ahead the bitcoin price will get better, and so will be stable in price increase.

Of course this is a very convenient time to buy cheap coins.
I think the market will recover towards the end of the month and the beginning of the next one.

No one will know what's really happen to the next day, well we just see, hopefully this month bitcoin will recover and the other coin too, this is too long since the price of bitcoin falling down .

to wait for BTC to hit 5K at this stage I think is a risky game. A lot of money was pulled out of crypto into fiat. There is now more money in play as obvious in market cap. But a lot of this money is sitting with investors who are targeting the blockchain space. Never say never but I have my doubts that BTC will ever see 5K again.

the cause of the decline in Bitcoin prices is due to Fud Bitcoin in India and the case of USDT in bitfinex Exchange.

In February Nothing can say for sure.The current level is likely to continue.But in March the market will definitely pick up.Maybe that price rise is good starting from February.But in the last week the market price is likely to increase.

Bitcoin may fall more and same as Ethereum but i doubt if it touches again the 5000 USD mark. February will be the month where we can see the market full of green grass. the Chinese new year will be on the 15th of the month and just after that, we will be back on the rise. no doubt about it. this also happened last year.

This time crypto market falling day by day and every coin value is down so  it is best time to purchase crypto and next month will be up for because  after some time market  fluctuates.

Bitcoin surely has fallen down much and the way it is going is tough to predict whether it will recover quickly or not. I personally have never seen Bitcoin fall down so much and not recover it quickly. Its currently at $9000 which is 80% less than what it was 2 months ago. If at all bitcoin recovers the price it will at least take it 1 month or more to gain the price. February has already started and yet BTC or any other cryptocurrencies didn't show any momentum in it's price. We can only hope that BTC and the altcoins gain price this month. The marketcap doesn't seem to show any massive growth though.

Since the beginning of the year, the total capitalization of crypto market has fallen by 38% - from $ 613 to $ 383 billion. How many more gifts should the Chinese buy?! I think there are problems not from one country. There are also South Korea, India...  :-\

By buying more and holding it up is a smart choice, it's more effective than just watching the current market price.
I guess, the price drop will not go to $5000. Because, the Chinese government has done positive actio by giving permission to miners to do the mining there.
In my estimation, that markets will be stable 1 week after the Lunar New Year or the end of February 2018.

it is easy to know that in the our first days of Feb bitcoin has dropped drastically, and still keep dropping more, we are getting close to lunar new year, so many investors are dumping bitcoin to enjoy their holidays, that makes the price drops even faster and will effect bitcoin very badly, it has drop to 8800 now, from today we may see bitcoin drop so much more at least we got to March to see the price back to normal.

I think the situation is much more complicated. Cryptocurrency is steadily losing its capitalization. This amount is several hundreds of billions. Do you think that all the money will go to the celebration of the Chinese new year? I don't believe it. But even if the money deystvitelno will be spent on the celebration as they return to the cryptocurrency back?  So the long-term crisis?

This simply implies that it is a great time for us to buy coins right now. Even if there's no immediate pump in the BTC right now we could actually hold some coins and wait for the peak of its value or any other coin that is stable like ETH, NEO or EOS.

The fact is that many crypto currency users doubted that Bitcoin should drop even below $ 10,000. But for today we see a completely different picture and therefore 8800 may not be the limit of the next drop in the price of Bitcoin.

Yesterday Bitcoin price dropped to $ 7790.Then slowly began to increase. This month, the price will not be $ 5000.Of course the time of purchase now.But at the end of this month the price may start to increase.

At the moment the market is pretty crap looking but also for those who want to stock up on their favorite coins and tokens, now is the time to buy. I am optimistic that near the end of February the market will improve. Of course no one can really be a crystal ball only the bankers and big whales really know how to move the markets and control them, so they have the on off switches but we should all develop our own strategies for success and be strong and hold, when others dump in fear and are thoughtless and have a herd mentality surrounding cryptocurrency which is not always very healthy when it is on the bearish side.

I think and I hope that in February we will see a very positive picture, most likely bitcoin in February will cost far beyond $ 15,000, and accordingly everything else will also have a positive picture

In february my prediction the market will change to uptrend because now all cryptocurrency on oversold area. All FUD was clear and then many good news will coming in this month so could be the price will going up and back to normal again. This downtrend was make big lose in value already so this month its time to cover it and change to uptrend.

I think in February market will be bullish and again make new all time high as we can see all bad news came and all rumor ended.And as technically market is in over sold zone and investor feared more about bitcoin, so one bounce need to get bullish zone again and people come again in crypto. As a Cryptocurrency enthusiast since kay year, a Hodler, an investor and an amateur trader, I world say February is better than January and today the second day of February is the market is started to come back to life.
Seems cryptocurrency market is going well this month and hopefully they're would be no another crisis and corrections happening this month.
I bought two coins yesterday and now I'm positive because they're now started to pump.

No one can tell what will happen untils its already happening,but if bitcoin's $8k support breaks thats the time we should abandon bitcoin,because surely it will still go down until $4k in a short period of time it is based on its previous support from last year's breakouts.

There are still could be 1 more blood wave + china holidays = still bleeding market in February. But I hope we will see nice green growth in March or end of february!

It's difficult to accept that last top value at  $18.000 is the best for BTC. It should increase more.

In February i think market will be not stable and a lot of red days , because its chinese new year and others problems people need money, so lets hope march will be green.

The trend might drag on until march or maybe much later as we don't know when the effect of FUD in the market will cease or if other bad news might add in on the space. One thing is for sure though, it will take time for the price to consolidate.

People keep referring to a trend, but I don't see any trend here, because a trend has to be somewhat predictable and persist over a relatively long period of time. But right now there is no trend. The price is falling for whatever reason, and there is no way to predict or "read into" the trend, because I think a trend does not exist.

Why bitcoin and other altcoins are dropping. I am Hoping for the better this february. I am hoping that bitcoin and all altcoins will grow up again this month.

The price of Bitcoin in particular dip more than anticipated, but people should understand that institutional money is entering the space, and will like to get value for their investment unlike most people that only jump on FOMO buy and sell into FUD. Other altcoins are dropping down cause bitcoin is dropping. i think this month will be the worst in this year. Everyone says that this is due to china, but there are other factors why the market goes down.

There are lot of prediction that all coins will recover on mid february so I guess it is time fill your wallet with different coins to be eligible for profits on this coming pump price on alts. They expect that marketcap will reach 1 trillion but no one knows the exact dates ;D

To be honest op, I really do not know anymore what to think. Because just when I thought the last price was the bottom dip, the price of bitcoin and other altcoins became even lower than what it already was, I really did not expect this to continue to happen as long as it has. Not that I am worried, I just do not know or have absolutely no idea about what will happen to the cryptos within this month or the next. The only thing that I can really speculate for now is that, in April or may, the prices might go back to completely being normal and be able to reach new heights again. But whatever the case is, I would still be really glad to invest more when the prices drop even lower this month.

Most of the participants of this forum have been writing for a whole month about the imminent restoration of the crypto market and the forthcoming growth of crypto currencies. Either all are very optimistic, or all the blind, who do not see that there is no prospect of improvement in the near future.

Don't panic and wait until the end of February. This was the expected drop. Waiting for US, South Korea, Indian and Thai markets to break negative stories by February, prices to stoop back to $5000. I think the market will be still unstable thru all February. By the end of the month prices will start raising and everything will come to place.

I think we will experience more of fluctuations this February. Maybe even after Chinese New Year the market will have some sharp dips. Hoping that by March the price will pump and start to see some progress.

Looking at the graph of altcoins probably late February or 1st week of March will start to reverse the trend. The downtrend is holding for a lot of time that's why I think the reversal is near. Actually it is starting to stabilized I hope We can find a sideways trend this coming weeks.

btc and eth price decreased but btc will not reach $ 5000. it is affected by market prices that began to improve. and now prices are slowly rising as the issue of bitcoin bans in different countries ends. so buying bitcoin is now a good choice before bitcoin prices return to normal to the highest price position.

While nobody obviously can know, I predict that the downtrend will continue even during February. We will occasionally, like today, have some green days, but to get back to the levels of December we're really looking at Q4 again, so keep on piling up guys, you'll be rewarded at the end of the year!

We already see stabilization, everything is already green and blooming. So who has managed to buy up to this time, now can only enjoy. And about the price this concept is relative, everything can be or not.

I think this price situations of bitcoin and the other coins are just temporary. Yes, the prices are very low and they are still decreasing, but I don't think this is the end of the cryptocurrencies. I hope that the prices will start increasing in a near future.

Based on the recent trend with bitcoin, we need to prepare ourselves  for more attack from mainstream media regarding bitcoin ban or regulations. Market is very unstable hopefully it'll start to recover this last week of feb , though I don't have any problem bitcoin losing some of it's value I care more about Eth now , as Im holding more eth at the moment  ;D

The current price of Bitcoin is $8,544.61. but I would not have thought it would go down to $5k later. I expect $8k is the value of the decline of the bitcoin

I'm not sure that "attacks from mainstream medias" always have a negative impact on the course of the Bitcoin.

In the past Bitcoin has grown tremendously "while" under thoses attacks ;).

That said, during February it will probably stay low or keep going down a bit. I'd give it one more month to go up again (ofc it's only my belief).

I really hope that the bottom is gone and the market will go up. And then the current situation causes depression ...

I think the month of february will bring only chaos to the cryptos and the markets. It already began and it seems it will continue all the month and it's posible to see bitcoin under 7k$ if Tether doesn't fix it soon. Also right now it's better to safe cash and not cryptos.

As you know, later half of December as well as january haven't been much good fir bitcoins and other altcoins. I think bitcoin, along with the other cryptocurrencies would get more stable this month and start going higher like before. I am not sure as it might take some more time for the cryptocurrencies to recover from such a huge dip, but there is alot of chance that their value starts rising this month.

I think in February everything will start to return to normal. Such a sharp drop as in January will no longer be. And closer to summer, all will return to the level of December.

In February the market hopefully will stabilized and then in March Bitcoin will rise again.

I believe the market will go down a little more on February. It might go up at the end, but this stuff is too unpredictable. I just can't image bitcoin going under $4000. That will be insane.

I think it goes down again because there's another "ban" news that focuses on banks banning cryptocurrency transactions. According to Fortune.com, most of the major credit card issuers have implemented a ban for customers to buy BTC and other cryptocurrencies by using their cards.

Bank of America, JP Morgan, Capital One and Discover have already laid their axes on BTC and other cryptocurrencies. As for Citigroup, they're halting cryptocurrency purchases.

I am looking forward to the February 6 meeting in the United States about clarifying regulations of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for investors not to be skeptical with this and hopefully will signal a green light for them to enter.

Because of problems in the US bond market, there is a general decline in all markets, including on the crypto-currency market.

There has been a lot of FUD in the month of January and also the traditional fall which we are seeing from last 5 years which happens in the month of January. at the moment the market is not showing much confidence as the fake FUD news keeps on coming from different part of the world(this time it was from INDIA).
however, we should see some confidence growing by the end of February as per my opinion.

Yes because Chinese people tends to sell coins so that they can have it for Chinese New Year. And really this time I think the cryptocurrency coins value will gets dump again. We should all be prepared to this comings. I think the best that we can do is to hold your coins. I am very much positive that things will change very much significantly by the end of this month. We can really hope that the market value of most of the crypto coins will rise in the coming days and will then help you in having some good money at the end. Things are little against the ones who are having crypto coins now-a-days but there is no such need to be worried about anything.

February cryptomarket will still volatile just like the last month performance. We are expecting the effects of G20 summit regarding crypto, SEC inquiry, Chinese Lunar New Year etc. All we can do right now is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. The good news is after this bearish season there are lots of opportunities due to price of all altcoins return to the same level as of last year.

Maybe the market will move sideways a bit more, but it will probably go upwards mid of February.

I suppose that this February will be marked with the gradual growth of almost all altcoins. Bitcoin will stop falling and become less volatile. However, I do not think that we should expect any pump this month. Probably the bigger losers of February 1,2 will gain a lot.

Previously, i read about a prediction that in february btc will drop down to $5000 and will have a long way to go before it can recover. Well, in my thoughts since its already at $7000 this early in feb, it may go down to 5 but i think it will not crawl back to 19k but will zoom away to recover from its biggest fall. The alts are going red along side with this fall, we just have to hodl and hodl and buy some more in a discounted price.

The market needs to cool down after such a strong and sharp correction. I don't expect continuation of the bullish run in the near future. Now we need to accumulate volumes for further growth.

Every time on start of year we had calm market it was bullish. We need wait future updates on bitcoin and some regulations from goverments for change market.

I think market will be still unstable and bitcoin can be in range from 5k to 10k, in my opinion its good time to invest fiat and bad time to sell your crypto to fiat.

For me february and march is the time where chinese people having their vacation and  thats a holidays for them.So maybe value of bitcoin maybe affected due to investors will take a rest and i think that will happen every year.Let see this coming days and month.Thats only my opinion.The value itself depend to the markets buy and sell volume.

As my own opinion, February was still down the market price because some chinese people sell to make a cash and celebrate their holidays so this is not a common factor that happened every year, For now this is the right time to buy atleast 20 to 30% of some potential altcoins and then hold it for a long term. Dont be panic and time will come that the market will be Up again. Just come back after a few months and let see what will happen.

It will still be unknown what will be the market in the next few months but the plunge / crash right now is just normal like what happened in 2014, the only problem is that can the hardware manufacturers keep up in the demand for mining as other algorithms is pushing to CPU and that might somehow equalize the demand.

I think that this month of february crypto will continue to recover because after mid february chinese lunar new year will end so expect new investors. If there are unexpected minor dip it will not last. So for now Im just gonna hold and wait for the market to recover slowly.

For me, February is the Start of the year for the crypto rising. It will start rising by this month because as per observation, Most of the people have less expenses starts by February. And My prediction for this month that the price will be up at $9,000.

For me its continuously dropping this month of february but i know it will rise soon like last year. So we need to do is to wait and be patient, thats the only thing we can do to when there's a big dropping or dumping in the market. February is the month of love and many people is busy but many are finding money to earn and to get, thatd why i think that the market will grow because of the demand of many people.

The market in February is more stable and it did not reach $5k as predicted by many experts you say. Right now bitcoin is playing at around $8k-$9k and the graph movement is low. This month may be the start of bullish run after a bear market. But anything is uncertain yet because more and more governments are into regulation of cryptocurrency in their country.

Starting of february is bad so many people beared loss even me too. but i also take benefit out of it because when it was down than i bought some stakes and now i am in profit. I recovered my loss. But if we see the coming days of Feb it will be estimated that it will still for a while until march. This all happened because china has made crypto illegal so they are good trader and they have to sell their bitcoin.

However, it is difficult to think that an upward momentum as aggressive as that which happened in 2017 can be observed, so there are reasons to maintain an optimistic stance, but without incurring in overconfidence.

Yes, definitely in 2108 crypto currencies will grow significantly after bitcoin, but in February we saw only fluctuations in the exchange rate. While we see the market is not ready for serious growth, but I hope that in a couple of months the situation will change.  ;)

I think we just hold some altcoin or bitcoin for long term, don't trading from now because we don't know until when the blockchain market will be stabilize again. Just need be patient for trading time again.

The big growth will be not earlier than autumn I hope (to have time to invest more in the crypto currency). February was a good opportunity to buy at very cheap prices, ETH almost 600 dollars, Ripple at 0.7. I strongly doubt that such opportunities will be in the future.
