I'm a big believer in XRP, but the price changes are weird. Whenever there is good news the price is unchanged... and then it shoots up suddenly and dramatically after a while.
But this is yet more good news! Long-term, the XRP price is only going one way... up :)

Honestly, I'm not a fan of XRP, but the trend itself is great, because next supported coin can be Stellar, NEM or NEO for example.

Honestly i do not know how are they still alive. They are so old fashioned and tremendously overpriced and have shady tactics as well, they get extra money by using bad currency exchange rate.

I know that there are online versions for their services in FEW countries which includes U.s. , but for the rest of the world it is used mostly by scammers or old people who are not familiar with never technology.

And who said that this coin is decentralyzed? The most centralyzed and known coin is ripple and I think we all know it and if we say oppositely, seems we try to lie ourself.
Why did they decide to add crypto on payments? And why did they choose ripple over bitcoin, ethereum and etc? What did they see something unique which wasn't in them?

A lot of central banks are working with ripple today, this centralized currency must not even exist at this time. How ripple shill try to spread bullshit news to the crypto atmosphere to make another momentum for ripple.
This was obviously true. ripple's shill hurt its credibility of ripple. Decentralized thing is everything for me. Centralized is't

Well, actually Western Union is fairly alive, with market capitalization about 9.5 billions, which is about ten times less than PayPal, but still ten times larger than Moneygram. And for the last 5 years WU experiences slow but constant growth.

Another milestone for XRP having WU as there possible partner in the future. If only they can address the centralization issues of there platform then I think Ripple would be way better to Bitcoin in terms of speed and transaction fees. That's the only remaining issue why Ripple don't pull up at 100K USD mark. If they only can convince all the cryptoworld that they are not threat to other crypto then it would certainly go above all.

Because of what I read, Im concluding that companies dont like open source and decentralized system, I supposed its because of volatility. Since the niche market of XRP is for bank transfers then it would be a good choice for remmitance companies.

I know Ripple has it's haters as it isn't "decentralised" but what it does do is encompass the blockchain technology and apply it well to a real world situation. I have some XRP stored away for the future so happy to see small and steady growth in the value of the coin as its get used more and more for it's intended purpose.

If these will be success then maybe XRP will have the chance to increased its value. Since it is moving slowly at least they find ways on how they can make their value more expensive. Well, everything can be achieved if more people will support this innovation.

It's obvious why Ripple is so attractive for the financial sector: this guys can't live without controlling each coin movement.

I don't really get it why ripple is so interesting, yes they have their own protocol but surely they have full bags of premined coins + there is no guarantee that financial institutions and banks will use XRP for their network, I mean they can simply create some new token. I guess when people hear regulation + something for companies and banks they want to buy in but the fact is ripple is opposite from what the first intention was for cryptocurrency and even they act as some sort of a middleman for banks...

Normally, it was meant to be the banker's coin, so I see no reason why bankers should not stick with a centralized coin compared to decentralized coin. However, I do not see anything much in the OP's video and nothing much about what the OP is talking about anywhere online. Also, I have always had reservations for XRP and I do not see that changing for any reason.

A lot of attention is being given to ripple these days by financial institutions and I am not surprised anyway. Even though I never liked everything about ripple and the idea that something about it has always been fishy, it seems for the profit, this one may be a good one to have some little bit of amount that I can afford to lose in, after all, we are mainly here for the long term benefit or who isn't.

Let's see how this goes for ripple anyway, but so far, it looks like the chart on its own is even looking good to be a part of for some short or long profit.

Research folks, western union wont announce it because it is a FUD just like what XRP did in the coinbase FUD,XRP is so desperate now because most of the people knew that this coin wants our community to be centralized if this coin would dominate our market it will be the end of satoshi's dream for us.This news will still remain a FUD without any confirmation from western union. For me i wouldnt waste an extra bitcoin for this centralized coin,i hate the bankers that is why i bought crptocurrencies especially privacy coins!

Considering all the disputes around Ripple, the company considers itself to be a simpler and more convenient payment system and does not pretend to be a cryptocurrency. bitcoin will never be used for payments. Most likely, the leading cryptocurrency will become a digital analog of gold and will act as a repository of value.

Ripple was clapping because his ambition to defeat ethereum might become real.
The relationship between 'Western Union' and 'Ripple' can increase the popularity of Ripple rides up and become more aggressive in the market.
As a result of this cooperation, 'Western Union' probably will be blamed by speculators as it has led to a significant increase in the price of Ripple in crypto market.

I totally agree with Western-Union that Ripple is their best choice to be their partner on sending money across countries and I totally support their platform.
I am a big fan of Ripple and a holder of a couple of thousands of XRP since last year so now I'm getting excited that Ripple had again passed another milestone that companies are bringing up closer to  their clients trhough blockchain technology.

Nice to see that some big players in the global payment industry are tapping into the idea of the blockchain technology and making use of ripple as their drop spot to see how things go.

Hopefully, this should be a good one for ripple anyway as I should expect some of these news to spring up some rally for the coin. However, that still does not change my skepticism for the project. It is centralized and that is all it will ever be.

This might be FUD news or what but I'll do the same thing, will not invest on Ripple because its centralized though its good coin in terms of market cap but I still don't want to take more risk on this. crypto main purpose was decentralization and giving back power to its real owner .

It's good to know that the banks are totally aware and wanted to join the cryptocurrency hype. However I think the distribution/transfers of money is very unclear since the value of ripple or any altcoins are very unpredictable.

While this is good for xrp, I don't think it's good for crypto in general.

It's a centralized corporate coin after all. Goes against what most cryptos stand for.

Super news from Western Union! They currently testing Ripple (XRP) for future money transfers.

Ripple was clapping because his ambition to defeat ethereum might become real.
The relationship between 'Western Union' and 'Ripple' can increase the popularity of Ripple rides up and become more aggressive in the market.
As a result of this cooperation, 'Western Union' probably will be blamed by speculators as it has led to a significant increase in the price of Ripple in crypto market.

lol What a load of BS WU has very little if anything to do with the rise or fall of Ripple. They'd wash their hands clean of crypto the first moment they can. In fact, if they even smell a crypto exchange has taken place through their networks they will simply freeze that money. Xrp has a tendency to pop up out of nowhere every couple of months to a year and then disappear into obscurity again.

That would be a great opportunity for XRP to be considered by Western Union as part of the currency to be used on their money transfer transactions. Probably Western Union had considered Ripple, the blockchain company trying to become to go to service for global money transfers with faster transactions.

I knew of this over a month ago. I wanted to buy Ripple when it was around $.60 too during the recent crash, but for some reason I just kept avoiding pulling the trigger. Now, like an idiot, I regret not doing it. I have made quite a few mistakes like this in the last 2 months, but I guess it is part of the learning curve. Crypto is difficult to figure out especially with the crash.

I still think XRP at $1 is a good deal, but I would wait until it drops below $.75 to think about investing again.

But for now western union using ripple is still in testing phase and with unstable market conditions it looks like ripple prices will still be difficult to ride.

Seems that this news doesnt affect the XRP's price because most of the people wont bite another FUD because previous FUD of XRP gave a lot of people a headache.People are getting more and more wise everyday, because if they dont they would lose a lot of money.I am not a fun of XRP because it is the most centralized coin in the market, and i reall hate this coin because it shouldnt be called as cryptocurrency and it wont be qualified to be cryptocurrency.

The rumours would stay rumours unless western union has confirmed it with their official statement
But i doubt, they wont use XRP.

This wont be affecting people's mind because most of the people knew that this coin is being manipulated by the bankers, the recent FUD that people has received is surely burned a lot of money from the investors,so people are getting more wise today by nothing getting FOMO by these news, because if they got FOMO again, they would have lose a lot of money again,so people are getting more confirmation before they do anything,

This will be just another FUD until western union has confirmed it officially.

We are doing cryptocurrencies to start decentralization on this world so people that who are very powerful out there cannot control us anymore. So I am no to ripple because there are so many altcoins out there that still has more potential than ripple.

There are a lot of centralised alts, but Ripple is the most controversial one because it was not just created by bankers, it is totally controlled by them. That's why I don't like Ripple. Its definitely a step in the right direction, I hope that this will now further influence more transactions through these mediums. I would say all the new alts coming out that have the intention for 'unbanked transactions' will start to replace these payments for sure. NOTE: These will need serious KYC/ AML checks !

Although XRP is centralized coin, the mainstream financial system is more enthusiastic about the potential of the Ripple blockchain. Several partners are currently testing out Ripple's technology. Besides Western Union,  it's also American Express, Banco Santander and MoneyGram International. Perhaps investors are helping drive the XRP tokens higher. We can expect the coin to grow.

I often read articles about the high risks of ripple, a lot of rumors about it, one of them adding xrp to coinbase, it never happened. In January, its price rose to almost 3.8 dollars, then its the rate began to fall. By February 4, XPR cost 0.86 dollars (minus 80 percent to the historical maximum) Let me remind you that 60% of the coins are in the company ... Personally, I would not make big bets on this coin.

I am totally in with you bro! And it totally pisses me off when people are regarding Ripple as a cryptocurrency. This is one coin I will never be comfortable holding either in a short term, let along long. But this news will give the right message to society. Namely, those who do not believe in technology or doubt or something else. The fact of supporting Ripple by banking systems doesn't make it more centralized ?

Don't think so, but it the best adopted coin by banks atm.

Ripple is a centralized coin in every aspect.

BTW - I think that those deals are great but the question is if it will be used the same ripple structure. or that they will create for the organizations a separate structure which in this case won't make any difference for the currency value

If this is true this huge for both Western Union and Ripple. It is huge for Western Union because if they didn't innovate soon their whole business is gone, and one of the worlds oldest companies would be gone forever. Smart of them to recognize the landscape is changing and they adapted well. If Ripple lands such a huge company as a client there use case goes up phenomenally and they actually have a leg to stand on (albeit a centralized shit leg, but a leg nonetheless ;D).

Why are you a big believer in XRP?
And you obviously don't know that much about ripple if you think the price changes are weird.

There is no use case for XRP.
Banks use the platform but the coin itself has no use.
So you have a coin with no use case (classifying it as a security rather than utility) with an incredible amount of coins minted and a vast majority of it held by the company ripple themselves.
This is not guessing, it is well researched and the blockchain doesn't lie.

So what happens? Whenever xrp has a price change it is because the company themselves start to devalue or value their coin to sell off for more money.
There isn't enough ripple in the public hands for use to make that much of a difference.
Investors are literally at the mercy of the company ripple.

Still believe in it?
Don't believe me?
Just do a quick google and you can verify all of these things.

To me, it is no different from centralized Fiat crypto-currencies such as the petro and whatnot that can be manipulated by corruptible centralized entities.

I'd rather invest in Stellar Lumens, which is now tightly partnered with IBM, and have joined the NEO-ecosystem.

I hope this is not just rumor. Ripple really has no use case other than speculation from newbies and whales from forums. I really wanna see some use case for it that justifies its price even as centralized coin.

Yes, I would prefer to invest in something more promising, for example in effect.ai or nex. There are many more worthy projects. The cost of a ripple is very easily controlled by banks, and it does not suit me.  ;)

I do not think that this is true information, of course this may be true, but in this case it just confirms the theory that Ripple is a project that is created by the banking structure to buy out real crypto currency for candy wrappers.

Western Union is testing Ripples for money transfer is a good news for those who are researching and investing in the Cryptocurrency market. This proves that commercial companies, services gradually accept the liquidity by digital currency. In the near future, there will be many companies and corporations in the world applying digital payment, because of the convenience and security as Altcoin.

I have to say it is a very good news for Ripple investors. Ripple, which is a hope for investors with a sudden rise in the past year, has also gained a good reputation within the past 24 hours. It is debatable to see 3 USD levels again, but if this news is confirmed and if the villain is passed, it can exceed the 3 USD band very likely. It's not an investment recommendation, but I think it's worth keeping some Ripple in the corner.

They might be testing it but I don't think they will be using it in the near future as using such a volatile currency for transfer of huge amounts of money and such large number of transactions is very risky also why use Ripple when they can develop their own coin that they can control.
