it can be profitable if you know what you are doing. otherwise if you are just playing around and buying things wishing they go up instead of really making educated trades, then it can not be profitable for you.
for example when you say "the whole market is red" it means you are not seeing the market because even during the "red" times there are opportunities to make money. for instance in the past couple of days DigixDAO was pumped and gave a nice profit although everything was red. so did at least half a dozen other altcoins. and that is ho you day trade in altcoin market, you find these coins with a pump coming and invest in them and dump as soon as you are satisfied with the profit.

day trading will be very profitable if you know the trick to do it, usually I see the average value of a coin for a week then buy it when low and wait for the price to go up, controlling your ambition need here

I do not fancy day trading in my opinion. One needs to be able to do on the spot analysis and make 'super' fast decisions that are usually based with emotions rather than sound judgement. This is not to say, it is not profitable but you can as well make big losses.

Day trading nowadays is so difficult even though you keep monitoring the price everyday  to get the right timing to sell and buy  'cause the market is very unpredictable and besides of volatility there are some whales on the market that keep manipulating the price . And especially in altcoin which is very depressing also because of its circumstances in the market ,( all alt is facing red).  And we have no idea if the volatility of alt will give us profit because bitcoin is growing which is the common reason why altcoin is suffering nowadays. And IMO perhaps doing day trading with bitcoin is a good choice for now.

I'm not a fan of day trading because I feel it is almost same as gambling. I believe that in gambling only luck is very important to make money than a knowledge so I don't go for quick profits from day-trading.


Yes, when markets are in red you can't make money from day trading. But if you invest money on good coin on red-day then you can make profit when market start moving up.


I don't follow this method because simply I don't believe completely in this concept.

It is effective if you understand how trading works and the meaning of the shapes and formations of candles with volume. If the market is mostly bearish then you have the option to short though it is not really recommended for newbies who are just starting to learn trading because your account will be burn even before you grasp what happened but if you are trading for a while and you know what price you should buy and sell then you can try it.

You can also try the traditional buy and sell wherein you buy first and then sell high. If you observe the market cap, there are coins that are pump from time to time so if ever you were able to catch the pump then you can still profit in the bear market. Day trading is effective as long as you have a trading plan and you strictly follow it.

Day trading is always a risk as we cant judge which side the coin will be moving but yes due to help of chart we can trade with stop limit

even when everything is red and prices are dropping you can still make profit as a trader in the market only if you know how. for example there are margin trading options which you can short that coin which is dropping and make profit.

or you can normally buy the dips and sell on recovery. even when price is dropping there are times when it reverses back up and has a small recovery before falling more. you can make profit there.

Day trading is more about technical analysis while buying alts and waiting for pump is more about fundamental and swntiment analysis. In this casw day trading is way more harder and more risky, you should spend much time trading while you could just buy alts and hodl but imho it worth that.

Day Trading is always effective but the thing without any knowledge about the analysis it is not possible to make money. Sometimes you might lose money in day trading because of false analysis by you, without knowing anything better we can stay away from day trading instead of losing money.

It may sound simple for writing but while doing it you feel difficult to time the market when everything is going down fast. So when prices are going down I will not sell instead of buying some of my favourite coins.

Daily Trading is effective although it is easier said than done, daily trading is really difficult even when this time market are in red days you can profit little by little, of course you cannot sell if you buy your coins at high price but right now this is the can buy coins you don't own yet with low price just make sure that coin is good and every seconds the market is moving there's time that it goes up even little you can earn buy selling although it is really hard.

Day trading too cosuming times and not effective for me,  because iam not patient for wait best price to catch it, when buy any coin i can not manage my emotion to get cheap price so until now iam still in floating minus. Long term trading could be better for people just like me.

I havent tried that yet but it seems like you can fund your account on forex broker that have BTC pair (you will get account funded with USD but BTC should be the only withdrawal option) and then start margin trading so you should be able to buy and sell BTC / USD pair and get  profit from all price changes. It should probably work like that, I'm going to try it soon with my funds.

Well if you have never traded before in your life, I recommend to stay away from day trading.
Learn the basics first. Technical analysis, chart patterns, how several time frames are connect with each other, price action, order flow, Level 2 reading etc. and begin with paper trading.
On tradingview you can open an account for free and paper trade all crypto/USD pairs.
After some while you can try to make a few first real, small trades.
Also look for good educational videos on youtube or websites where you can learn the basics. There's ton of material out there.
It will take time to develop some certain skill level. Knowing the theory is one thing. But trading under real conditions will be a completely different thing. Because you will learn how you tobehave under certain market conditions( for instance when price is moving against you) and how you can avoid panic reactions which may cause you some ugly losses.

There is no tricks as long as you have a great skills ahead to the other traders. It is like every trading one can have a good profit because he knows what and when to buy and sell. Its all depends on yourself. Im not a daily trader i can't go with it but as far as i knew it is very profitable.

i find day trading works really well for crypto, theres a couple different places to bounce your currency through and its so volatile that it moves frequently, you just need to read it well.

Day trading is hard way, I have try this one and make me stress and lost almost 20% from my money. Day trading is similar scalping method ( forex ), have short time and take profit but also stop loss. As long you can take the right coin, have minimal stop loss/ take profit and patience, day trading is effective for profits. About how your action is up to you.

I’ve done this thing before and I can say that it can really be profitable but expect not much if your capital is quiet low because you will experiece bigger fees on that so basically day trading are good for those who have larger capital to fully appreciate the whole concept, I’m not saying that you have to but thats the ideal thing. Yes ! Its effective. Its really profitable when you aim for small profit like 2-5 percent per trade. You don't have to aim a big profit every trade, you just have to gain small profit and do it again ;)
One of the important thing traders do is chasing the green. So don't ever chase the green candle always wait for the red to come.

Even if the whole market is red you can still trade with it just by buying it. Even if its called day trading it doesn't mean you have to earn that day, you don't necessarily need to buy and sell sometimes you can wait a day r two to take profit as there are days where you buy snd there are days where you sell. The trick here is the so called candle stick when you see it it will play you can take chances if you know the trick. Yes, trading is profitable when you know the tricks but there is time that you will lose the profits you invested. So this where I like to call learn from the it to gain more in the future in short learn from your mistakes.

I would say making profit of daily trading is definitely possible but just by logic not everyone can make money because if you're making money someone is losing and if you're making a lot someone is losing a lot, thus it will most of people who are trading losing in fact, and the little percentage are making money, to be one of those little percent you need either to be very lucky, or tricky, or just a holding and not trading then selling later.

In my opinion, the most effective time for trading is when the price of coins has increased or decreased in price very drastically. (But this has a very high risk, you can lose some of your coins in a short time if you are wrong in the prediction).

Day traders are too intelligent there mind is very sharp they know how to react when the market red. when it turns to red they will buy coins and they will make one small margin to sell their coins if they reach that margin they will and the margin should come b/w 20% to 30% some people will sell just for 10% also.

Day trading is very risky although if you have your own telegram signal channel that has 300 or 400 subscribers i think you can manage. Well for me, there are no pattern in system analysis and chart reading. Sometimes, there are some person than saying those kind of word just to have a topic to be discuss. I think, that is coincident only. Trading is just gambling, you didn't know what will happen next after you trade, don't know high or low, profit or loss, job well done or disaster. Day trading is only for professional that already got a lot of experience and for the people that got a lot of time to study the market, for beginners I don't suggest day trading, day trading can be really profitable if you got the skills, but most of the time people lost money in day trading, day trading is too stressful for me

It can for sure be effective, but the problem arises for most it isn't an option. This could be for a lack of resources in computing, funds, skills, or connections even. If you lack in any of these departments it can hurt your chance to become a day trader.

Newbies should focus their mind on making money over time because some of them think that they can really earn easily without doing proper education. Candle charts alone is not an effective way you also need some indicators to predict.

Day trading is very tricky and risky nowadays in the volatile market because you have to monitor the price charts to know when is the perfect timing to buy and sell this is really time consuming but can be really profitable or can result on loss. Only people with experience and knowledge about trading can earn profit even in red they anaylze candle charts and fundamental news to make trade and earn.

It seems to be a whole day work if you just don't do day trading wisely, seeing the market a day without red color is a miracle, but everytime leading cryptos having menstruation, altcoins are there to say hi, Try me, put some effort to me, and dump me if ever my value get's red. that's what day trading is. I have the same question when I was starting and gaining nothing but I have learned that I can make fast earnings though small scale profit.  This can be achieved when buy coins that have smaller value at lowest price possible and in volume so once you get a chance to sell it even at a low profit but repeat process. Small profit when the market is slow or digits are  bloody red can be cumulative and will at least sum up to something when put together. But it is always important to learn the coins, market flow. And when the market is back on its peak, you will be an expert and earn bigger as you go along.

I do not agree with your take that day trading is difficult rather it is how a trader goes about his trading that either makes or mare his trading career. Easier said than done indeed. Recently, with the bear market, I tried some day trading combined with short term since I was feeling a lot bored. Actually that's what day trading do, and it is very effective. I tried day trading once before when my schedule wasn't that busy. What I did was I bought a certain coin when its price was low, and I found a telegram group that gives you hints (not available now) on which coin would possibly increase and mainly because there are news about the coin which makes its price go higher after (no specific time or date though). So what I do is I wait until the price goes up and sell the coin once it reaches a certain amount I am targeting; but if it goes down I buy them twice the amount I bought it at first. That's the risky part because you always wait for the right moment when the coin pumps or dumps.

I am a part time trader i dont have such a exposure of day trading. But i fell trading needs a good analyzing characteristics which needs both patience and also the fast decision making characteristics because the cryptocurrency value are unpredictable whether it may rise up or fall down so we should make a sound decision whether to sell or hold. So it doesn't deal with day trading or part time trading it is all based upon the individuals capacity.

Yes, for beginners it will be really difficult. But hey, if you really wanted to earn huge amount I think it will be good if you take the risk and see how it goes for you. If you feel though that its really hard and difficult then go back to the basics, just buy in dips and then just hold for long term.

Not best for you then, but I have seen amazing people who becomes expert for day trading. They can sense the market loops and thus invest exactly as it suits them and earn amazing profits as well. But definitely like you, many other people have failed in day trading. This require much commitment and attention that is hardly provided by everyone. Go for the thing that suits you more.

For me yes, since fluctuations each day have big margins doing day trading will somehow give enough profit, not for those greedy people who intent to earn big in an instant. Long term holding is still much better but for those who want instant and sure earnings day trading is good .

for now conditions, daily trading is not recommended because the coin could get down in any time and we can buy the coin at a high price without we realize. maybe we can trade for weekly because I see from weekly progress, many altcoins is a move to higher price in the weekly so I think we can choose weekly trading. on the other side, we could buy right now and then we can hold for a long just to make sure the price could increase higher in the next month.

Well if you put in 10k on a coin thats 1 dollars after it dropped from 3 dollars.  Well if it goes to say 1.25, you could sell it and make 2500 profit.  And then not care about that coin anymore etc.  Of course it could drop even more.  Many coins i notice were 3 dollars and now 50 cents or less.  Many coins seemed to have dropped close to 80 percent already from a while back.  But if a coin drops to a point where its just too low isn't that a buy?  Like imagine an altcoin that was 2 dollars and now its 80 cents etc.

i am new in crypto trading .but i am doin forex trading 5years .and i think  day trading is not  good . trading is long term business if you want to make good profit just hold curriency for week or some month then you can make profit .and not only hold you also knows chart and indicates and analyses because without study we can not make profit

to be honest i prefer long term holder than day trading. day trading always has a risk, we cant judge which side the coin will be moving. or perhaps just choose top 10 coins for a trade.

As much as the profits to be earned in day trading is, if one can actually be doing perfected and skillful spot trading Analysis with good speculation of the coins involved despite the green market or even at red market, so also is it carrying one of the largest volume of risks, where one can negligently looses all capital sum invested. Daily Trading makes you a lot of stress. Trust me you will make your face ugly :) but if you have a power to day trade Go for it. But for me it's totally Stressful ^_^

I don’t think like this. Reason is simple, every method is amazing in its own kind and you can’t just pervade about them negatively over a forum where different sorts of users come and seek guidance. So better is to keep that opinion with you. I am against those people who claim something to be true with which they are affiliated and demoralize the other. Day trading is amazing too.

if you do not have a good strategy and knowledge about trading then you can even lose your money because to do daily traders will be effective depending on you whether you have a good knowledge of trading or not

Day trading is very effective way to increase your profit and the only to make consistent profit in crypto.... The only  disadvantage  is it takes  time and focus. good luck all.

Day Trading is always effective but the thing without any knowledge about the analysis it is not possible to make money. Sometimes you might lose money in day trading because of false analysis by you, without knowing anything better we can stay away from day trading instead of losing money...

it's more than effective if you know how to trade and when to leave the market without any losses, otherwise it is a waste of time and money, you need knowledge

Yeah trading can earn you a lot of money either it is long or short term if you know what you're doing, but it's serious profession that requires a lot of knowledge and experience..and excellent money management skills. 90% of traders lose money long term..that's a proven statistics, so before you start day trading take the time to really absorb these numbers. It takes months, if not years to become a successful trader. Most people are better of just holding btc.

I've heard about some guys who would be able to make +25% per day, and if you would perform that even once or twice per week it is still the great results.

Yes i am agree with you day trading can only be effective if you have a lot of experience, if you do not have any experience in day trading, then it is more risky nnd you will even lose a lot of money, therefore it is important that before starting day trading, we need to get some good experience and day trading skill.

Day trading is good for small amount of profit to take daily, But It might want good TA skill and always affect high risk. But Risk can be lower by using long-term holding coins

Excellent remark. There have never been a time when the "whole market is red". Seriously even if you are using just cmc to watch the market, if you leave the top 100 coin page down the page, you will realize there are other projects thriving in the red. Though I initially use to think this way though. Now talk about coin that are not listed on cmc. If you follow certain projects, you will realize there are good opportunities to make gains even in the red.

Secondly, always have in mind that the market fluctuates and so, it goes up and down. This is where day trades capitalize on. Buy the moment it's down and sell off when it rise. It may be with 10 to 20% profit. All the same, profit is being made. So you see?

Day trading will be effective if we spend full times for that and sleep just 7 hours aday, remaining times use to analysis the market in technical and fundamental, by full times you will know fast bad news that come in the market and possible to sell your open potition as soon as possible to avoid loss, and then wait for best entry again. Good psycology of trading also become most important factor that will possible to gain consistent profit. If you can not doing this all, better just become long term holder or doing swing trading that consuming less times.

I agree, if you're talking about the current situation, it's really hard to do a day trading, because the price is really volatile. Day trading right now might lead to a bigger loss. I agree that you should hold for now, holding is really safer than trading, if you're patient enough just wait till the price gets bigger so you can make profit.
