I have been holding some altcoins since January 2018, But then the market crush hard and I am not able to sell my altcoins because I am in loss with these coins.
Even I invested in more established coins like, Waves,strat,Iota,wabi but overall my portfolio is around 40% down so far.

When I am able to see profit? Holding them for long term is worth my patient? ??? ??? 

I think you will have to remain patient for some more months, btc is expected to dominate the market for next couple of months, after that altcoins will boom, we have to wait im also holding many alts.

I think it's going to be a turnaround in June, because you can look at the K charts over the years, and most of the time, June is the beginning of a bull market, and I think this year is no exception.

Yes it is worth, don't do panic selling and try to hold in my opinion till half of this year cause i think they will pump before holidays.

You should have set stop losses before you bought those coins. Now I think you need to hold those coins and wait. I also believe those are promising enough and will recover soon. I also have my own losses but experienced made me emotionless. ;D

Not only yours but all investor's portfolio down over 60-70% because of this bearish market. The ups and down and pump and dump is the nature of market , you have see till september-17 to November was the bullish time zone of market and all coins were making new ATH then market entered bearish mode and all coins down over 70-80% from ATH. Now I think as bitcoin cross 15000$ with volume and stays stable , we will again enter in bullish market. And this will happen till june. So dont sell your holding in loss and wait for right time to come.

You need to forget about a quick profit, now it's not that time and the market is not very stable so you need to be patient and wait a couple of months and only then you will be able to see the profit.

The cryptocurrencies you mentioned is good for long time holding no need to worry. You are good as long as you will not sell without profit, just wait for the right time and hodling will be worth it.
On the other hand you may want to read and research about trading. Some people who are into quick profits doesnt hold and gets more from just altcoin trading.

The market will be in up and down cycle just any other investing/trading market. Currently, crypto market still very much a wild wild west stage, so we are looking at wild crazy price swing. 40 percent is a small drawdown, there's nothing to worry about. Many people at the moment have -80% and still expect to profit by the end of the year. I think your portfolio will be in good stead by autumn.

Yes i dont wants to regret more, I sold my crypto currencies earlier when I was new into the crypto world. I used to sell bitcoins without any major in need of money but now I know the value of crypto.

In my opinion all the coins you mentioned are in fact long term: Waves, strat, Iota, wabi, but you asked if there are possibilities of having profits this year, yes and no, it will depend on the expected profit, 10% to 39% i believe that has great chance with market highs, now, profit over 40% is almost unlikely depending on fundamentalism. Remember that just by analyzing the graph and the current market.

I think it would be worth your while to hold on those altcoins. You have to understand that slumps do happen but checking on previous trends, altcoins have their way of getting back up to a more desirable price. If you bought in january before the crash then you probably bought at the very top so it's going to be a long time until we have another bull run that can take us above or even the same at that point. Nobody can say for sure when but i think 1 year is a fair time to hold your coin and get your money back.

I feel you, somedays I watch the market and I just get overwhelmed by the red, I didn't buy at ATH but higher prices than these, best thing to do is either wait or if you feel brave enough, do some day trading, hopping from one upward trend to the next, I would trade back to ETH if you want to cash out of a coin with the return it's given you - ETH is fairly stable these days

Probably it will start on the month of April and will in the month of June but that info as per my searched on the internet and my friends knowledge based on their experienced this past few years that the market will repeat on it self and expected this coming bull market all coins will set their new ATH.

You definitely will. But it´s hard now to predict when. I was expecting to see some positive changes after Chinese New Year.. but unfortunately nothing. Cryptocurrencies are very volatile in nature and unpredictable so it's very hard to say when will we see profits this year but every year's starting has always been pretty low for bitcoins when affects other coins too so after march or so we might see some rise in price just be patience and hold your coins.

Altcoins usually pump when Bitcoin is stable. Currently, Bitcoin isn't stable at all. It is experiencing high volatility. So you will have to at least wait till Bitcoin becomes stable.

In my own opinion, as investors, we should not solely depend on the profits that bitcoin volatility will give. We should be resourceful and creative in our own ways. Though it's wise to invest in cryptocurrencies, we should always have other incomes. It is not recommended to give it all in here instead try to diversify your money not just in investments but in safe places. With this, you won't be worried much.

Can I base my answer to the plant seed then harvest tomorrow for just one day. I mean it is impossible to plant seed today and tomorrow you will able to harvest your plant. Investing can be long term or short term. It is not depend on when you should trade it or how many years you hold it. The important here is patient and more knowledge about your coin and about how the market flow. Then what will be the last price that I should decide to sell my coin.

I did the same quite many times. I sold many coins in loss caused in panicked when the market was crashing. But I still regret that. Now I see the same coins rising higher than before and touching new all time highs. I still wish I had kept some patience and had held for some more time.
