Please house, I will like to know whether out of the existing altcoins anyone of them has potential to be like bitcoin in the nearest future. I will appreciate if i can know the reason why because this will greatly assis me in planning my investment strategy. Thanks.

Many currencies such as Betcquin and rise in the price of Betcquin but there are a few currencies do not have a relationship with Pitcuen, it does not affect the price of Bettquin

Many times people keep asking the same question like this. There are many investors who would like to know the name of coin which could be next bitcoin. But I wonder how this can happen as bitcoin is one of its own kind and there is no other coin which serve the purpose, principle and security like the way bitcoin does. In terms of market capitalism also bitcoin is dominating the whole crypto currency with rate of 42% and counting. Do you really think that there will be any other coin which will be able to reflect these kind of characteristic at all. I dont thin bitcoin will be #1 always the only list that will get altered is from #2 and below.

I believe the coin look like bitcoin is one in only ethereum.  For sure one of us they think also that ethereum will increase the price after few years. So if you have extra money right now just buy ethereum and hold it for few yew years and you will make a lot of profit for sure. Grab the opportunity while the ethereum is cheap.

Are you for real?! Most if not all cryptocurrenices out there are open source where majority forked their code out of original bitcoin. Zcash is not the only open source cryptocurrency and it was meant to be private coin, but they are not best in terms of privacy in my opinion as there are much better alternatives out there. Dash is also not private by default so it's not the best secretive version of bitcoin for sure, although they have funding to fund all sorts of activities to spread the word about dash which is why it could be good to invest to, but who knows.

I think Litecoin is a very successful coin but the value will fall even more. Because development stopped. A system that accepts payments with LiteCoin was developed. The Litepay system did not show the expected effect, Litepay is the reason for the temporary appreciation of LiteCoin in the last week.

I think altcoin is nice and potentially could be like Bitcoin is Ethereum. Why Ethereum, because Ethereum is Altcoin whose name is most popular in other appeal Altcoin. ethereum is also widely used by investors for investment in bounty projects. I am sure, later the value of Ethereum will be very high, and may be the same as Bitcoin.

There many altcoin out there but it depend of you to investigate the right one to invest. Bitcoin has been in existence for long and to stay forever

there is no other altcoin I can recommend for you besides Ethereum, as I only see Etthereum the only altcoin, which I feel and I am very confident of having good potential in the future. because I personally have bought some.

no, none of the existing altcoins have the potential of becoming nearly as big as bitcoin. some come close to having the potential but they will never make that potential into actual usage because the market is filled with pump and dump altcoins ((top 10 for example).

No, I don't think that there is any coin like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is like a magic coin.its price increases and decreases magically. moreover it is the most valuable cryptocurrency. for all these reason Bitcoin is totally unique and there is no coin like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is unique as it is the first coin, it is not superior to other coins, so other coins can be like bitcoin or better than it. But it does not matter for bitcoin because it is different.

 
Bitcoin is one of its own kind and i dont think any alt will match its potential. currently there are numerous coins with growth potential but none can be compared to BTC,NEO and WAVES however are more promising

   ETH is, of course, an interesting and promising coin, but the trouble is that she is already expensive.
I think that with bitcoin they will grow in the same percentage.

I'm thinking about LTH to be the next bitcoin in the coming future because it has much faster transactions than bitcoin and it was designed to produced more coins with 84 million coin limit unlike to Bitcoin with only 21 million. Litecoin has a 54 million coins that are into circulation while bitcoin is only circulating approximately 16.7 million supply. Litecoin is considered by the experts as the silver in comparison with bitcoin to be the gold. My thoughts.

You can invest in big 10 coins that are listed on coinmarketcap. For the reason, because they have many demand. For example Ethereum, so much token used Ethereum network

There is one very potent coin like bitcoin, it's just for long-term investment. Only ETH has the potential of bitcoin, but it may take a little longer for at least a few years.

all coins here have different value and all are worth it,if you going to invest here try ethereum and bcc because this two can be similar in btc price in value so both can be 20x high by now in the future we can see the development of ethereum this past few years and it so good already follow by august fork coin call bcc now actually the price of this is like dying for 3 months but now the price go really high by now and still growing for me it can really like btc

until now there is no coin that can match the bitcoin I just see a coin that has the potential like bitcoin but not yet able to overtake bitcoin, ie coin ethereum. we know etherum is a great platform and has a stable price so I think etherum is still one of the potentially great coins like bitcoin.

There are alternative coins that have potential to replace current fiat/cash system but the financial system is not  ready for this challenge. Bitcoin has biggest marketcap but i cant say same thing for using bitcoin as payment method. Ethereum are much more better than bitcoin but as a first created coin bitcoin still keeps the dominance.

Why are we always repeating the same question over and over again, and if you are looking for an altcoin to invest in just take you time to go through the alt discussion section on the forum am sure you will fine a hand full of information ainformation will help you through your investment but for now no other alt coin can beat bitcoin record.

Currently no coin in the market is able to compete the pioneer(i.e Bitcoin), and there is still no chance in near future that it could happen.
I have not seen any coin having this much potential or better characteristics than bitcoin, the reason behind the popularity and dominance of bitcoin is the loyal community behind bitcoin, they never accept any other digital currency as leading currency.

All altcoins strongly depend on bitcoin and if you watch the change in the price of bitcoin and altcoins, you will see that at the time of bitcoin price drop all the other cryptocurrencies also become cheaper and vice versa, when bitcoin becomes more expensive, all other cryptocurrencies become more expensive. BCH is one and you should be careful with it.

I prefer Ethereum which is different from bitcoin.
With the large increase of ICO's using ERC20 coins, there is a large probability that Ethereum will grow in price (if that is all your reason here).
And a lot more here with great projects such as QTUM and  Aion.

There are even better coins that are exceeding the Bitcoin in their technology but the current reputation of the Bitcoin and the support of the Bitcoin by some of the big whales in unquestionable and just because of these factors, not one coin can actually be compared to the Bitcoin.

No, not even close. Anybody telling you there is a coin that is close to Bitcoin or will one day rival Bitcoin is outright lying to you. They do not know any coin could challenge Bitcoin until it actually does, which means they simply can't tell you the future. There are no equivalent altcoins like bitcoin so far, you can see the volume of trade in every market, there you can see altcoins that have good potential in the market and worth to invest.

Yes you are correct. Many altcoins now in the market but I don't see any of them reached same with the value of bitcoin. But maybe in the future and I don't really know when, that some of the altcoins will get in progress that may rival bitcoins in its popularity. You know what if I were you I would check in coinmarketcap what the suggestions of others above. Pick the top 20 then read every white paper and choose the top 10 that you desire to remain in top 5. After all do more search about your top 5 coins and then remain the top 2 or 3 and finally you can decide to invest. I think that is the best way to convince yourself 100% in what your decision.

indeed no coin is like bitcoin but all coins also want like bitcoin and compete with bitcoin. Bitcoin has a sophisticated system that can not be duplicated by other coins, the bitcoin price is also highest so that bitcoin is the king of all coins and ethereum 11 12 with bitcoin.

There are some coins in the market having potential to perform very well in the long run but I won't recommend any particular point to you because I want you to do your own research. Do consider the factors like the core philosophy, current user base, market volume, associated team, current price, growth potential and global perception while taking any investment decision. From my personal experience, I would like to recommend you that do not invest blindly based on the others opinion and do your own research even if it is taking time, it is worth it down the road.

I dont think that there is like cryptocurrency like bitcoins power or dominance. It is really the higher crypto than any other because it has so many volume meaning there are so many imvestors or buyers buying bitcoin because they have definitely trust on the ability of bitcoin. Trudt the higher than any other. Thats their reasons of buying. It is given that they want to earn bigger income.

This time no coin is good in compare of Bitcoin but in future Ethereum could take place of BTC. It's only my opinion. 

First of all there is no such alt coin like bitcoin because BTC has the only potential to be that much great and provide employment to millions of people engaged into it and also its valuation inflates at a very fast rate that any individual can get very good profit in very short span of time but in worst cases if bitcoin will end then its alternative crypto currency could be etherum.

Nothing compares to it  as the first crypto currency in the world.

In over thousands of coins listed in coinmarketcap.com, I never see any cryptocurrency that is nearly similar in bitcoin. In fact, I don't think that any altcoin can dethrone bitcoin. I really believe in bitcoin, from its usage, reliability and popularity. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency that emerge in our economy, it holds 50% share in market cap, and it was more reliable than any shitcoins listed in CMC. Many altcoins have better blockchain than Bitcoin, but I can't say that they already surpass bitcoin's technology.

You can also earn very good money by using other coins.
ETH, TRX, XRP, BNB, ENJ, BTCC. I have a lot of coins I can not count. If you do a good research, you will find nice coins and make money.

   Bitcoin proved it could work, with its "proof of work" design. This opened the door for others to emulate, adapt and remodel the core of the system, leading to a jumpstart into the next wave of innovation.  If I had to choose the closest project to be the successor of Bitcoin, it would possibly be Ethereum, because the introduction of smart contracts and other goodies the project bring out.

If every coin like bitcoin surely people all over the world want to have it and invest in it. And all coins will be famous and have very many fans. But all that I'm sure is impossible because all altcoin can not compete with bitcoin.

There are so many coins available in the market nowadays but I think not a single coin have potential and stability like the Bitcoin.
 

So far, I haven't seen anything that is as much as powerful as bitcoin. I bet no other coins will be equal as bitcoin. Altcoins would have tried to everpower bitcoin, but I guess no one can. Some coins are regulated by a group or a company, but bitcoin stands alone. It cannot be manipulated ny anyone or anything.

Yes, we all know that bitcoin is the strongest and the most unique cryptocurrency than others. I will rather choose bitcoin that other coin transaction online. Bitcoin is an opportunity for us people who are fortunate in financial aspect. Bitcoin can really do help a lot on our daily needs. Most of the crypto currency concept and way of transaction is like Bitcoin but the price, familiarity and market cap is far behind for all the alcoins. To be specific there is no such coin exists or would exist in future like Bitcoin for another 100 years. In my opinion there is no other altcoin which has advantages such as bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first coin created by satoshi Nakamoto until now, unprecedented. Although many other coins are emerging, they are just trying to be equivalent to bitcoin. :)

Ethereum is good cryptocurrency day by day is developing and try to create value but the presence of short time people can’t trust on it. but gradually it’s gaining people trust ethereum came to market with low price but now it’s high and day by day developing. but ethereum couldn’t touch bitcoin. bitcoin is dominating the whole cryptocurrency with rate of 42% and counting. I don’t think there will be any other coin which will able to reflect these kind facilities like bitcoin. after few years or decade ethereum will be like bitcoin but it won’t be a replacement of bitcoin because bitcoin is the first created coin and still dominating.

In my opinion Bitcoin is the best coin as this is 1st crypto currency. After Bitcoin Etherium is a good Altcoin and it is getting popularity also but Bitcoin is at the top.

For any coin to be like bitcoin them the developers must really work hard.  Bitcoin has gained ground and even when eth and Ltc are trying I still doubt if they can get to where bitcoin is.  A lot of projects are using ethereum blockchain  though,  but they still have a long way to get there  if you ask me 

The only altcoin that I can think of is Ethereum because it is the first Smart Contract platform that is successfully dominate the market by catering the needs of a token like Bitcoin were the first cryptocurrency that is created.

All people are going to recommend you is coins that they hold themselves so they'll be incredibly biased. Do your own research and make your own mind up what coins you think have the best potential because nobody is going to be impartial in giving you advice and you could just lose money blindly following whatever bullshit someone tries to sell you.

Do you mean price wise or usecase. When it comes to price, there are some coins that are worth almost over a Btc but when it comes to usecase, non can surpass Btc. Btc is a store of value and that sets it higher than any other tokens or coins  our there.

Even today at the end of 2018, there are no altcoins that are like or resemble bitcoin. As for some people talking about, Bitcoin SV is said to be a real Bitcoin. I am still confused about this  ??? . For me Bitcoin has not been replaced, even though the price has declined.

I think that for a long time we will not see crypto coins, which can cost as bitcoin, or technologically the same developed as bitcoin. All coins are created for speculation in the crypto market.

I think coins will be great but in a different way Bitcoin did. BTX for example, has a huge potential for everyday use, maybe It will never reach $19k value but it can reach billion users for everyday payments all aroun the globe, Its program for mass adoption can be the key to get that goal in the future.

No, I don't think so, every coin has its differences - not all coins are like bitcoin, especially now that many coin-coins appear so that we have to be good at choosing coins that have good potential to make investments.

I think chance is always available, but it will be depends on the coins itself whether they could take that chance or not.

I don't think there is a kind of altcoin that will reach the height of Bitcoin. In fact, since Bitcoin was born as the first crypto, it has established a first-mover advantage. It has already led many altcoins, and catch up with it become impossible.

There is no altcoin that could be as much as bitcoin in the near future. become a bitcoin is not easy and it takes a long time. There will be no instant altcoin who could be great and even direct biting just as bitcoin. so maybe bitcoin remains will always be the most fabulous crypto only compared to others.

look at the top 20 coins in the marketcap.  they won't be on the top list for nothing.  i believe each of these has it's own potential to become big and be used by many people.  the key is being "in demand" so the project have to show the capability to handle what is needed.

Every coin does not have the same quality and prospects. For those who are diligent in developing and providing innovations that build crypto to be better, of course, the community will be in great demand. There are no same coins. There are no coins like Bitcoin. Until now no one has been able to surpass Bitcoin. Bitcoin is still widely expected to increase because then it will help the price of other coins rise again.

There will only be ONE Bitcoin. The rest made after it will be Altcoins.
There isn't another coin YET that has the potential to be like Bitcoin in value.
Since technology constantly evolves and if Bitcoin will not evolve, one of these alts may dethrone Bitcoin in the near future.

in my opinion, all altcoins have the potential to be like bitcoin. but if you want to get past the price of bitcoin it's rather difficult. because bitcoin is the indicator of all altcoins and has limited supply.

What coin is like the BTC is the same BTC coin is ETH because if you invest in it you can definitely earn a huge amount because the price is too low now so is the right time to buy ETH if you want to earn a great deal in the future.

It seems to me that there is no such coin and there will not be, Bitcoin was, is and will be the first coin in all ratings!

the bitcoin coin is NEO because it's not so low now so it's a great opportunity to make it big here unlike bitcoin where its price is now so when you invest in it you'll definitely lose it.

For this coins that you have listed there's an only one that I have owned and that is Ethereum.Maybe I can add other coins, after I will finished my campaign and given me a token to be converted and make an investment for the positive result.
