I'm still wondering why bitcoin suddenly dropped over 11kUSD. i thought that it will hit 30k usd  this year, but how come it's suddenly dropped? i dont think so if its manipulated by whales or maybe the supply and demand of bitcoin is one of the problem . or maybe uts a chance given to us to buy so we can havea good profits. can someone explain?

I believe the reason the market is bearish is due to regulations and the craze that ICOs has been, the market is scared... and this is the result. News that Google will ban crypto-related ads doesn't help.

The bitcoin fundamentals are as valid today as they were at its conception, therefore, I think sooner or later when the dust settles down then we might see Bitcoin climbing up again. Unless some other cryptocurrency beats it.

When the price of bitcoin is reduced from 11k$,it was stable at 9000$.Yesterday the price of bitcoin is further reduce and gives below 8000$ and the good news it's again start to increase by value. Now the price of bitcoin crossed 8150$ after a cross.So it's better to hold the bitcoin instead of selling at low price.

I do not know much but I only knew it is because of the selling of its Bitcoin on hand by Mt. gox issue. And we know it won't last forever as long as many are still holding their Bitcoin. Everything will go back to normal, we just need big players entering the market to make Bitcoin pumps.

I fully agreed. Bitcoin suffered it's downfall recently and still suffering for now. That's why although bitcoin's price rose up it will not take too high. I'm certain of maybe 9,000 USD TO 10,000 USD Only. It will still take time to recover and reach your expectations of 30,000 USD.
Unfortunately, we are not sure if bitcoin will really rise. Bitcoin remains down and all we can do is wait for what will happen. Maybe our predictions are right that bitcoin will hit our desired price or bitcoin will remains the same or even it can still go down to ground.

Price having a difficulty to rise up again when you check this time it's below $10k. Many had thought the correction is over and the time to rising up again. But now it seems were in a down trend again, yet I am hopeful that market will rising up and we could gain income.

The market got bearish because all the fud around lately plus the incident with mt gox. But I have heared they had suspend the furthermore selling of bitcoin by mt Gox until september 2018. Hopefully that could give us a breather for another bull run. The price last year was also pushed by the bitcoin dominance because of all the forks that happened. this time I'll bet on some good alt coins but I will also hold a decent position in bitcoin just to be safe.

BTC and friends need time to get clear of Mt Gox redux, shitconnect, exchange hacks and various other bad headlines. Too many people that were gungho in Dec don't feel safe back in the market yet. Some ICO regulation and taking down the big pump and dump groups would go a long way imo.

To be honest I think analyst are correct the $8000 support level was already broken and it seems that bulls are having a hard time pulling it up. The next clear support is th $6000 area but if that also can not hold we may see the price dip at $4000 or possibly $3,000. I hope this not happen.

The huge spike to 20k was ill timed. A LOT of pumping for a network that was not ready for mass adoption. We were able to see the system work at overloaded levels. And we saw that it worked as intended. Fees spiked to compensate. People stopped transacting because of high fees which killed the hype. Prices plummeted. A LOT of people got burned by the price action and pulled out of the space. Transactions reduced to where we were at in 2016. No more pump, no more heavy transactions load. We are going to meander around these prices for a few months I would guess. Time is needed for investors to heal their wounds, and for a new army of investors to congregate.

People keep asking these questions just to have a topic to post. Of course they know that bitcoin will rise again. Anyway, here's why the price might have dropped lately. There was some negative statements from some important people in the financial world like f.i. Christine Lagarde from IMF calling for harsh regulations on cryptocurrencies. And there's the G20 discussion on cryptocurrencies next week. Investors are waiting what will be decided. But once cryptocurrencies are regulated they will invest heavily and the price will go up again.

I strongly believed that bitcoin will rise up again as I've seen the market is now slowly recovering.

For me, its depends to us if we will still trust to the capability of bitcoin. Investing money to bitcoin and other crypto currency is like taking a risk because you dont know what will happen in the future. Maybe the price will still go down or it will increase with a huge amount.

As of my time working on cryptocurrency, I just realized the style of bitcoin, it always down the price and get back to a high level again, that is how bitcoin work since it is being created, until now. Last year, it reach the highest price, hopefully will get back again. And it will get back for sure.

Correction is  not yet over for me. Bitcoin is still testing the support line. So many fake news and FUD are spreading, so we can still see Bitcoin will drop below $6000. Just hold, that's all what I can say. It will not fall below $5000.

I think another thing we should consider as reason why bitcoin price is going downward is the stagnant movement of it.

It's to early to lose hope with bitcoin, this sudden dropped of bitcoin is just a normal flow of its price. Because we all know that bitcoin has a high volatility that makes it pump and dump of its price at an unexpected time. And no one knows what will actually happen to it's market value because of it's unpredictable characteristics, that makes it so risky.

What we have now is not stagnancy and even if the market has been a bit stable without much movement, that is not a problem, but the fact remains that we are currently in a downtrend and every trader is trying to be careful before even stepping in with the whole FUD, most especially about regulation.

I think eventually it will, but not this year. We are in a bear market which will last for months. I'm not going to predict the bottom, but I'm sure bitcoin will not disappear. It should start now. Compare to last year's growth. Yeah, we all believe and that is why we are here. We have absolutely nothing to worry about because one way or the other, bitcoin will always end up hitting the ball rolling and once we start seeing the recovery phase, I am sure everyone will be here to testify to it at the end of the day. Noticing the past fluctuations i can say that prices will boost after some time maybe in Q3 or Q4 of this year.Yes the prices this year have gone pretty much down but they will grow and can reach up-to $15000 by the year end of we don't over exaggerate the bumps. Certainly there will be a huge growth after this long correction. Assuming it should start from this month. Last year's growth was awesome. The growth began from July gradually and ended up with huge spike hitting $21K at the end of December. Thought it did not continue in Jan 2018, we had a decent value in Jan. Completely agree, we are going to see a new all time high but it wont be this year. I am pretty sure that it will be between 2019 - 2021, maybe we are going to see a new highs of more than 30k if everything gets done well.
