Yeah probably bitcoin is the best pick to invest in a longterm just hold and sell end of the year. If you want to pick some alternate coins try visit the coinmarketcap. Just choose from the TOP1 to 10. Those alts are really good to pick and you won't be worry for any losing money. But I suggest for you to pick Ethereum.

The best investment is not something that is the same for each and every person because investments always carry a level of risk. You cannot say that because one project has the highest expected return it is 'the best'. For that reason some people may feel that governments bonds are a better investment than cryptocurrency because the risk attached is much less. Likewise with real estate, stocks, gold etc.

If you want the highest return then you need to look within cryptocurrencies, if you want a more stable and secure return then you should look elsewhere.

There are lots of ICO’s that  you can invest in just a month  or two you can have profit but it is better to invest bitcoin because you will just wait the price of bitcoins to climb  and then sell. There's no need to look for ICO's to invest.

I would go with few popular and strong coins that have good and strong team behind them. Personally I avoid ICOs as much as possible as it's huge gamble. We all know that FB and now recently Google is banning advertisement of crypto, it's not because of crypto itself it is purely because of ICO frauds. This is of course talking about crypto.

For Alternative investments i prefer is buy cars with little defects - repair it and sell it with normal price , it could give you like 1000-3000$ per 1 selling car. Also property is very good investment in long time if you buy land , land rising very good in price like for 5 year could make easy 100-200% in nice places.

Investing in reality is good other than investing in bitcoin. Real investment also my plan when I have enough earnings in bitcoin. There is an advantage in investing in real investment, why? Im still big on real estate. I still dream with owning my own house. I don't have anything to my name. I was poor, very poor before Bitcoin. Now I got some money, which im hoping that I can diversify eventually into a house. Ideally I would like to own 2 houses, one would be outside the city so I don't get all the air pollution and noise.

A secondary property in the city, this would be a decent flat, and I wouldn't even use it, I would just put it to work, im sure it would be easy to find someone willing to rent it for a decent amount. A nicely located flat can cover your basis expenses. I have some health problems that don't allow me to work so this would give me a peace of mind, having basic expenses covered.

Hopefully in the next 10 years I can make it, if Bitcoin delivers.

Depends on what you're looking to accomplish. If you're trying to make a lot of money in a very short amount of time like most people are when they venture into altcoins, you should spend your time researching ICOs. The more research you do, the less the likelihood of you being scammed is. The best way to go about this is to view the Announcement threads here on the forums. You might want to invest in the stockmarket too.  Its like investing to your favorite altcoin.  But the problem is,  its to slow compare to crypto currency that profit is to fast.

Stock market of course, because you could invest your money as low as $100. Just like the stocks, you could try trading at crypto currency which also good to invest this week because the market cap is at its dip. Again, if we don't make attempt to grow our money and maybe depend on the stipend from our jobs, we might lose the job someday and won't have anything to relay on. Well for me, it would still be best to invest into farms that are complete with all the needs of humans like cows, goats, chickens, fruits, veggies and so much more because this clearly can generate a lot of profits if managed pretty well by any business man. Another great investment I can think of nowadays is buying used or broken cars or any vehicle and selling them by parts because it can really generate a lot of income, specially now that cars are in demand plus a lot of people are into restoring vintage cars and are going out of their way just to find the parts needed for the restorations. There are so many promising altcoins out there that is starting to rise, if you would search for altcoins, look for what goals they are planning to achieve. It's better to spread your investments, have other tokens aside from btc only.

I think that property, shares, bonds and fiat savings are all risky at the moment. They have been pumped up, and there is too much debt associated with them.

I would suggest you going for the decentralized private crypto currencies, example for some: private instant verified tx, Monero,Xzcash.
I believe that once the regulators will enter the market and as we can see it's going to happen in the near future, a chaos is going to surround us and people will see the private cryptocurrencies as a way to go.
 

Well there are so many altcoins that are run by ICOs, they are as well good investments to be enterred into. Just pick the right one. Consider good platforms with the right team and do a lot of research so that success may just be around the corner.

That is a nice suggestion because blockchain tech might be used in many things in the future, and experts in it will be needed. I also think that investments in commodity and stocks are also a good alternative investment but it ain't the best. Another nice investment IMO is going into college and studying courses that have crypto related skills that can be learnt, IMO they will also be needed.

At anytime you will be granted what you wanted as long as you took the right path of your investment, money will come and go and i believe that it is just the hard work pays.

We can't deny fact that crypto is really a high gaining profit compared to other forms of investment but in terms of volatility, crypto gives worries to the community. For me gold is the only best alternative investment in the economy today. Gold has many uses either in jewelries and industrial though not that profitable because of it's stable value but still is the best choice however security and portability really is the downside from this centralized asset. Gold's value goes up I think every year and it's value in the future will double or even multiplied by hundreds into thousands of dollar per gram just like Bitcoin where I believe in the future we can buy a smartphone with a single satoshi if ever something good will happen to it's way up.

If you are thinking about "Investment" you must think outside of the box as investing in another cryptocurrency is really not called diversification, you will now see it in the market, once the King falls everybody in the market turns red (that is how influential Bitcoin is to other cryptocurrencies). You can invest in non-crypto related investments or invest in ICOs/altcoins. It would depend on how much is your budget for investment and when do you expect to get your returns. There are various investments like in real estate or in agriculture for not crypto related and a lot of ICOs emerging every day for crypto. As long as you do due diligence in wherever you put your money and see to it that you have an alternative plan in case your investment will not work out then just invest whatever you can and if possible not borrowed money.

Real estate is a good option but only in a single or 2 properties else it can become a headache as well because when you require money you cannot sell it immediately and thus if need be you may even have to sell at far less than market value to get the money.

Outside of crypto, I would say real state. Price of a property always appreciate, which means that its value increases overtime. I have bought 1 property in 2009, and in just a matter of 2-3 years, the price almost doubled. I'm so lucky that I have made the right investment that time. And just like bitcoin, its based on supply and demand. During that time there are only few of us who chooses to buy and get that place. However, the development started, schools, more housing, subdivisions around popping like mushrooms and even shopping malls. That drove the price of my property in that place doubled in short amount of time. So I must say that real property could be a good alternatives if you are looking for a long term investment outside of cryptosphere.

At the very bottom of my list of "alternative investments" would be gold & silver.  They've been beaten down badly in the last 7 years, and I don't have a lot of hope that their situation is going to get any better.  At one point I had some hope and was buying silver, but watching the silver market is like staring at the mirror watching your beard grow.  The market is dead and I don't think there's anything that's going to pump new life into it again.

If it's not the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in the list of investment then I would go with the direct investment in businesses or through the stock markets. Well If I have gained enough here for my family, my self,  I would like to start up a business that will really make us profitable, and I want to invest in buying properties since each year the value for the properties become bigger and I think I should be ready or working by now to achieve that goal as soon as possible.

    Aside from bitcoin and other cryptocurrency investment,i think it is good to invest in real properties. For me if i have a lot of capital i want to buy areas and build a house and room for rent,it could be a double income because as years had pass the price of real estate also increasing.
