Is it safe to import MEW account with Forkdelta and trade???? i am new to forkdelta need help and suggestion?? thank you in advance.

Don't import directly! it is better to send your token to Forkdelta in order to trade the coin, i hope compared to ED, now forkdelta is doing good because their server is in good shape loading easily.

Do not import your MEW wallet to Forkdelta trading platform, separate wallet to store coin and for trade coin. Import your MEW wallet will be very risky on your private key.

Not so long before Forkdelta was forket the original Etherdelta was hacked and their app got replaced into a fake one so many users lost their ETH. None of them is 100% safe. Keep your eyes opened and don't use the exchange if you find something suspicious (for example during the ED hach the chat was not working) and check some forums and reddit.

Nope, EtherDelta was not Scam it is good to trade in there but now the dev is not totally active, and in forkdelta is still the same in etherdelta they have similar like the structure of the website but it is much better to trade than etherdelta for me. Anyways, if you want to trade that exchange use Metamask for security purposes.

I guess it is,  I have been collecting and buying alot of airdrop lately,  and I haven't had any issue with making use of forkdelta in carrying trade , the only thing you need is to make sure that you have some amount of eth in your wallet because forkdelta charges about 0.001 for each transaction done,  whether it is to fund your forkdelta wallet with a token or to withdraw from your fork delta wallet.

As my experience, i never get scam with etherdelta though i use my private key to unlock account in etherdelta.
The only problem is the transaction is canceled many times because the website is very busy so i must pay many time for sending the token to the smart contract.

It is safe. But it will be best to use a dummy account if you want to trade. Transfer the token that you will be trading into the dummy and use it as the log in. You cannot tell really the safeness of one website considering they will already have your address and private key. Better to just invest with those dummies, it aint that expensive transferring with Ethereum.


I think they have fixed that. But as I have seen it, it is like once you're computer is still logged in with etherdelta, the hacker is getting the tokens on your balance and transferring it to his own dummy accounts.
Or it could be once your token is inside the etherdelta website.

Create a new wallet to import in forkdelta. Keep your mqin wallet with your private key and never import in any exchange. So if you want to trade in fordelta kindly send your eth ot coin/token to new wallet. And send it back to main.   

to keep watch you should not import directly and preferably using metamask or you create your own forkdelta wallet that is used specifically to sell your tokens and not used for storing.

Forkdelta is safe platform to trading but very slow, never import your Mew account to Forkdelta, some of my friends lost their coins because of it. Your private key is easy to hack when you import your account to Forkdelta.

Please don't do that, big risk if you decide to do it. You should understand import MEW into Forkdelta meaning you release you " key " into another, your account and asset will not safe again. Use another way to send - receive and trade with out import your MEW data account. Research first and get the real information before do something like that.

I think it's better if you create a new wallet, after creating a new wallet you can send tokens that you would sell is from the main wallet, but you should still have gas at a second wallet, in my opinion it is safer if you dont use the main wallet to import on market  :)

As usual with the exchanges, centralized or decentralized, you are playing with the risks here since you are using a third party to hold your funds for trades.

To minimize the risks, use another MEW address for trading purposes and that will be the one to be used for importing private keys on FD. Transfer your preferred coins/tokens to that MEW address and that's it. Although you will pay extra fees, it's way more wiser thing to do than import your main address with lots of tokens on it.

Is this an assurance that you will be safe? Obviously no. We just minimized the risks here so that in case of shitty activity, you will not lose all of your stash.

I will recommend you open a new account with them directly than using your myetherwallet accoun. There may be safe but we have having many issues with people reporting loosing money through this and many has gotten they mw account hacked and the tokens transferred.

Its very good advice as I was going to start trading on ForkDelta but have no idea how to do now going to open new account on MEW because using own address is never been safe so this give some better way to safety spending some extra fees is not bad as we want safety

guys I do not know where to ask for help or tried to talk on forkdelta on twiter but nothing, I had 2000 team tokens and I deposited 300 on ehterelted they were in lisata for sale then they are scomaprsi and on the right are the remaining of 2000 tokems that i have in the portfolio someone knows how to give me directions

I have used forkdelta for many trade and I can tell you forkdelta is safe to the extent that you follow your own safety tips procedure without compromise. Decentralized exchange make you the lord and decider of your own trade and security.

I do not think it will provide good security, we know that delta is very vulnerable to hacking and for example is etherdelta that repeatedly gets into trouble. as well as you send the coins you will sell to forkdelta by making a new wallet in forkdelta.

I used Forkdelta and was import MEW account many times and I never get any problem with it,  totally safe to import  it.  Forkdelta  is like mirror of Ether delta, both is good decentralised  exchange, they  only need more trading volume.

maybe you use a wrong deposit address . Did you check your deposit address a second time before you click deposit? you should always do that because you wouldnt know if you were infected by viruses and malware that auto paste a different address.

You should try to chat their costumer support and state your problems clearly in order to get some help .

Overall , forkdelta is a safe online exchange because it is also powered by etherdelta which is a well known exchange for tokens and altcoins.

I think it is safe to use the forkdelta because they have same pattern of working line etherdelta and idex, so for working on these exchanges you must use to unlock / import the account with your details to access and for trade as well. earning through eth you may shift to your mew after exchange done.

Asides the fact that the forkdelta platform is not really user friendly having an User Interface as etherdelta,its charting is quite basic,it lacks any advanced features ;doesnt have a search option; One should be really careful not to import directly. make use of metamask if you must trade there.

If you going to asked me this kind of question then my answer will be : For me ! Etherdelta ( Forkdelta ) is not a safe crypto exchange to trade your altcoins or tokens because it can be easily activate by only signing in your MEW private key and address. If I am going to add some security to it, i will prefer to have some confirmations in gmail or phone numbers when accessing your accounts in Etherdelta.

As for me forkdelta is not yet safe because its not yet stable, yet we didn't know how to hadle trades same with etherdelta. If we see its just same with etherdelta, maybe we should study more times before entrusting our coins to trade in this site. We need to do more trial and errors before we can conclude its safe.

if only to transfer and want to sell your Token from MEW to forkdelta I think not too risky when we are right to do it, but if trading in forkdelta for me do not like, I prefer trading on other exchanges, as in BINANCE Hitbtc and bittrex, but if it only sells token on our MEW, I think it's okay, although the risk is sure to be there, but so far I've never had a problem.

Forkdelta is a copy of the Etherdelta. It is also easy and safe to trade on this exchange. But I use different wallets to trade on the Forkdelta and for storing coins.

I have often told people this with my few months experience in cryptocurrency trading security. NEVER you import your wallet Private Keys to any Decentralized Exchange. Be it ForkDelta, EtherDelta, TokenStore, IDEX, Wavesplatform, etc. It is always very safer and HIGHLY recommended that you create a NEW wallet in the Decentralized Exchange and then send your tokens to the wallet address you created on the Decentralized Exchange to trade, and withdraw back to your main wallet after trading.

You should also know that when ever you create or import a wallet to any device browser, your PRIVATE KEYS stay on that device's browser. The security and risk implication is simple. Once you loose that device or the device is compromised, anyone with access to the device can copy the private keys still resident on the browser.

Base on my experience, I have no problem this site. May people get wooried when a certain exchange site asking for private keys. Actually there is no problem with that unless you have visited phishing sites that could lead into lossing your coins inside your wallet. It is important to check carefully before doing trades.

Do not trade on Forkdelta. My friend lost his tokens on Forkdelta. It's very easy to hack. My friend is lucky because the admin of his investment platform back up all tokens.

Im using Forkdelta and my account is imported their but as of now nothing is happen wrong. So I think its a safe platform to use but it's up to you. You can just create some wallet their and send your token to trade or sell or buy. But for me I think Forkdelta is safe in trading.

Yes, i did it and all is safe. I also been import private key MEW to Etherdelta and Idex and everything is fine. Just make sure the device is clean and far from virus or malware. Also always remember before login , use and click on bookmark link to avoid phising.

Everything about ForkDelta is open source, as a decentralized exchange, this platform 's interface is very likely to etherdelta, it is quite safe and unreliable

It really hard to trust exchanging sites especially when asking private keys, but there is no problem with that if you are sure that site is legit one. Still no doubt about Forkdelta and still can be trusted, the only thing that we are concerned are of having a low volume trade and prices compared to other exchanging sites.

I think in order to safe, we must create new wallet just only use for trading on folkdelta. So we decrese risk of lost. But i may get more fee and waste time

I would suggest you transfer first your coins to be traded to new wallet and once you done transfer use that to import in forkdelta. Don't import your main wallet in a decentralized exchange because even you click to forget account the system already save your data so when it gets hack, your private keys might expose.

I did not try to use forkdelta before but if you are planning to invest on bitcoins then i prefer that you should use kucoin because most of the investors in that exchanger did not get any problems in the long run of trading.

Always, crypto market involves a big risk, so if you are not careful, you will be stucked  in it with regret. Each of exchanges both has it advantages as well as drawback. Maybe it’s quite attractive that forkdelta is a decentralized exchange that allow you to trade Ether and Ethereum-based tokens directly with another users. However, it’s such a new exchange, we therefore get lack of information about it, be caustious is much better.

Forkdelta is using the same platform as Etherdelta which was hacked in December last Year.
After that the ICO  funds of ED were stolen and there are no developments on ED.
Fees from Forkdelta still goes to the scammer owners of ED.
It is better to say Forkdelta is working and tradings can be done and withdrawal as well  but it is far from secure exchange as many unclear things happened.

You just need to understand how trading works, and that is all what you need. The exchange is not goign to change anything, and forkdelta works pretty fast, only that it is not so fast as the others

It sucks man. I am not sure about the safety but it does sucks in terms of trading. The facts that it is decentralised wallet and anyone can insert the coins over there, manipulate the prices with little volume from the pockets and sometimes 0 volume of trade makes it the worst case scenario. I guess you should be choosing many other available exchanges which are privately owned and highly regulated one. There are exchangers with heavy volume and loads of coins already listed over there. You can simply trade on them without giving away your private key details and importing stuff. Please be careful with what you choose int he crypto space.

Well, i have no idea, as i haven't used it, but i have recently heard about it. Etherdelta has been having some problem recently, so there is nothing wrong in giving it a try.

I think Etherdelta and Forkdelta is the same developer that why the interface is the same, i been use both exchange and imported private key of MEW and everything is safe. Both exchange should be make the interface more friendly and more easy to use like offer trading view chart and also telegram customer support just like other exchanges.

i think it is safer if you create new wallet. deposit tokens that you want to sell and ETH for fee. because import private key that contains some tokens is really dangerous even until now there are no problem that happen yet

Forkdelta is safe trading platform, but don't use yours private keys to trading there. Create new account in Forkdelta and then add fund to that account to avoid hacked. Dont be lazy, create new account dont take too much time and yours balance will 100% safe.

Avoid importing your main account, it's okey to trade there but make sure to use a new account for trade purposes only. Remember what happen on etherdelta so be carefull now. Yes, having a telegram group and a proper trading chart would be one of the improvements that the platform should have. Even though not every one are using charts when they are buying or selling a coin, there are still technical analysts who would take a look at the charts before doing anything. They should use trading view in their platform or any chart that is user friendly. For OPs question, it is safe trading in etherdelta/forkdelta as long as he is accessing the right site because there are so many phishing sites nowadays.

I believe that ForkDelta is a safe crypto exchange and I enjoy using it. You can import your MyEtherwallet, since the exchange is checked by a lot of users.

Of course that it is safe because you are always using your funds and they never touch the exchange, you are just making the deal with the other user that is on the other side, and he only receives the money as soon as you get your tokens (it is a mutual deal)

IDEX is more comfortable (and safe) platform than Forkdelta. FD is just Etherdelta clone that scamed. We don't even know who is owner of Forkdelta. May be same guys that has ED.

For Delta is a really safe platform in fact the developers are great guys and they split off from ether Delta which was a horrible platform run by money-grubbing businessman

Yes it's safe as long you don't stay your wallet there or your tokens.  Because for me after I trade in forkdelta I remove immediately my private key or account there. We need a extra careful so if you only trade there forget immediately your MEW account there.

I have been using forkdelta for few months now and I can say its safe to use. What i am doing is I just use it for trading purposes if ever I have something to trade i sent it there from my mew or imtoken. I never stock tokens in my forkdelta account.

Forkdelta is decentralized exchanges just the same like Etherdelta and Idex,  it's safe to import private key of MyEtherWallet there because all decentralized exchange has the same network in Ethereum blockchain . I did it and so far I never get any problems,  just make sure you login in to right link, and  make sure always login from bookmark link and from clean device.

I have never been exchanged in forkdelta eversince I've started. It is the fork of etherdelta and I am quiet not convince about the security of these exchange. However, most of the new existing coins are goes in forkdelta and I think many people are still using this two exchange.

I hope you do not trade in Forkdelta, EDEX, Etherdelta, HitBTC, because all such Exchange does not support to merchants.
Unless you are doomed to sell a token, and be careful of your assets.

I think forkdelta is very safe and very similar to Etherdelta. I often make purchases and sales in forkdelta. Just to make sure our wallets are safe, never put our personal keys in there, use metamask better if we want to trade there can be dangerous every time the exchange is hacked. No one can guarantee our private key is safe there.

It is safe if you bind to it through Metamask wallet. I've been trading there through my Metamask wallet many times safely. I use this exchange as a black market. It is a good place to sell your coins received from ICO project before it officially gets listed on its first exchange. People expect that the price when hitting the first exchange will be almost the same as they were during the ICO, and even higher. That is why you can sell your coins for a good price on Forkdelta, before it hits the first official exchange. Using other people's expectations. It is a fork of Etherdelta. People say it is safer and much better that Etherdelta. I have used it without problem. My only concern though is why they have what seem like two horns on their Octahedron logo.

Its just been part of the Etherdelta team for those person who do create ForkDelta itself which it is just simply means that these two DEX are total identical and i dont see anything specially whether you choose up ED or Forkdelta and i agree on the thing you said which i do feel somehow safer with IDEX when it comes to decentralized exchange because you do have the option for you to import on using up Metamask.

As far as I know forkdelta is one of those exchanges that accept new cryptocurrency tokens so probably it is more dangerous to trade on it but it seems to be secured enough to make your daily trading.

How do you remove your private key? Do you select "Forget Account" after you trade? For me forkdelta is safe as long as you use metamask, that way you don't need to input your private keys. Its safe in my opinion because your private key is not exposed.

Because I'm a relatively small fish I prefer ForkDelta to IDEX as it's possible to trade small amounts, IDEX has a fairly high minimum order:

"minimum order of 0.15 ETH (equivalent) for makers, and 0.05 ETH (equivalent) for takers."

I am using forkdelta several times so far myeth wallet were safe. I havent encountered any problem using this platform. Since many hacking issues we have to be careful in trading our coins.

From what i experience for Forkdelta its safe for me..and much faster to trade than etherdelta. and always use metamask linking to be more safe

I feel unsafe now on fd since the moment my mew hack on ed.. They are the same interface i dont know if they are same owner but now i use incognito tab everytime i import my mew on it and delete it right away after trading..  Or better you can transfer your assets that you want to trade on fd manually just create new account..

Its safer to just create a new account to them than connection some sort of nodes revealing private keys to them which is very much of a security risk. Not a very friendly user interface but forkdelta is good when you want to buy cheap tokens. I've bought RCC and MDX there when they were released. Hold these tokens maybe for several years as planned.

I think forkdelta is almost the same as ethereum and it's very dangerous you better trade in a safe exchange place like idex. Idex's platform is also almost the same as forkdelta but the look and security is more secure.

Uuhm… why should you trust such site, they don’t even have enough information on the site to prove that they are legit and not scam. It doesn’t seem safe to me, you can’t even tell which company is behind it. And by the way, why are they only trading against ETH and not fiat? Dude like seriously last time I checked these guys are not accepting trade against fiat, just ETH and they’re also depending on the Ethereum network. Well, if you choose to go for it and you believe it is safe, then that’s your choice.

I've heard from a friend that trading in Fork delta is a bit risky and that your account can be hack easily and that there is a possibility to lost your finds. Fork delta site is a decentralized trading platform that is a bit complicated. Trading with fork delta is safe and I have been trading there. In decentralized trading you will have to add your private keys before being able to trade. To avoid making unnecessary mistake that will led to loss of funds, simply have a separate wallet and transfer the particular token to it then login using your private keys. It's just a precautionary measure.

Etherdelta is almost same as Forkdelta. I learnt the latter is a clone of the former.
It is not wise to import MEW or any other wallet into any of them, rather install browser extension such as metamask, with that, you can be masked and be protected. 

No need to import your private key into forkdelta you can just import your ethereum wallet into metamask and you can easily use forkdelta through it, however, metamask extension has been pulled off from chrome so plz be aware before doing anything and giving your private key anywhere.

In my experience too ForkDelta worked well and I have not lost any money yet but it can be limiting when you want to process a larger order.

I'm avoiding all those things. Don't use your MEW for sure. Make a new one or use Metamask. I think there are also some ways to trade on IDEX from Ledger...  Caution avoids additional risks

I don't really know as I tend to confuse it with etherdelta

For now it's always a risk for me, because as my trading activities became higher and busy I had no choice but to use etherdelta. So far I wasn't able to have problems with regards to any unsafe trades, and yet I did some selling of eth tokens successfully. Probably some points give other people became unsafe, because they're trading with phising or fake ED trading site.

I have made lots of trades on etherdelta but I have never traded on forkdelta, it should be the same. Nowadays I use idex market to trade, just be careful with these decentralized exchanges, don't use private keys where all your funds are, send your funds to new wallet and use trow off wallets to trade, you don't never know what can happen.

As Forkdelta is another version of the Etherdelta Exchange and as it is decentralized exchange then I think you shouldn't import your private key there. Etherdelta got hack several times in the last year. And Forkdelta can hack too. So, better to use Metamask extension in chrome to login in Forkdelta with your Eth address Key through metamask. If you don't know how to do it, then search on google or youtube and be safe. Good luck.

Some says you shouldn't import your main account
to DEXs, so by creting new wallet is a smart choice.

But sadly I imported mine because I wasn't educated
enough, but I didn't felt any attack yet so hopefully

As long as I use forkdelta not have problems and stay safe, but you should not import your MEW account directly to forkdelta. Create an account just in forkdelta and after the account so we just send the token to the forkdelta address that was created earlier.

It's always better to do some extra precautions and make sure that you fully understand what your are doing, as mentioned hack still possible so better to make sure that you protect your account if you are unsure better to do good research and make some additional ideas in order to prevent/ avoid making mistakes and allow hackers to burned all your tokens, always be in the safe position not just because you read that the exchange can be safe you already assume it, think twice before entering and use the exchange.

Forkdelta is very similar to etherdelta but base on my experienced, Forkdelta is doing good and it is safe for your account. But if you really want a 100% safe of your account.. Don't put your account directly on this website.

I think Forkdelta is not a secure crypto alternate to trade your altcoins or tokens due to the fact it may be easily spark off by handiest signing in your MEW private key and deal with. I have been using the Forkdelta for a few months. And everything is safe enough, I really did not experience any problems. Once only when the team changed the smart contract and it was impossible to get tokens, because the Forkdelta did not change.

Have you recalled on redirecting issue of Etherdelta back in the past? You should consider those possibilities or risk on using up DEX but those issues doesn't comes out every now and then.
The word "safe" do mean out 100% unhackable or risk-free and we do all know that this thing doesn't exist on any similar platforms either DEX or Centralized exchangers. The thing I do like
with these dex is that you do have the full control yet you do just need to import keys and safety would vary on users-side.

i think forkdelta is safe to use and u can import ur private key to forkdelta and its better than etherdelta and more secure and i also use forkdelta sometimes too .i have never faced any issue.

We get worried if an exchange asking for private keys when we log in just like in forkdelta.  Actually, there is no problem with that,  forkdelta are safe exchange only we got scam or hack when we accidentally visited the wrong site similar to it.  We can say scam sites,  that's why we should take a look at first and see to it that is the right one before doing transactions.

if me it is better to make new wallet first, like was everyone told to me. make new wallet and then send your token that you want to sell and ETH for gas,  and then you will free safely to import private key from that new wallet and it will not disturb your other coins in your old wallet

i have been a user of forkdelta and i must say its good and okay. I use it to trade mainly ERC-20 tokens and its okay in my opinion. Though it lags but its very good and safe in my opinion.

Yes that would be a better options to do since this trading site generally had the private detail of our wallet. Actually there's no such safety on all exchanges, and only thing that made me trust their end was only their cooperation. If their site admins would divulge those informations, well the appreciations will be scamming people and worst was hacking attack probably happening.

That's a safe advice mate, and I also prefer doing that in the future because eventhough we're in safe trades with etherdelta it doesn't mean its parallel with forkdelta. We need to have quick alternatives, for us to have an assurance for our funds to become untouchable by any hacker attacks or somewhat phising activities. Myetherwallet has been providing us strong support since from the start, so the number one strategy in order to prevent those negative scenario to happen; keep confidentiality on your private keys and don't expose it online or even share to strangers.

Every Trading site is not safe every time you transfer your tokens on a SITE you probable doing a 50/50 RISK. And all site is not safe at all. It's 100% gambling if you make Trading on a site nothing will last but if you have TRUST just do it. :)

I suggest not to import yours Myetherwallet into Forkdelta. Create new wallet at Forkdelta and sent yours tokens to that new wallet. Spend some small fee and yours balance will always safe.

forkdelta for me is only a market to sell tokens especially erc20, I often get that token from airdrop and bounty. trading on forkdelta for me is not good because trading volume is relatively small

i think it is safe to use forkdelta and import your mew account with it.  forkdelta is created as alternative to etherdelta due to latter's inability to cope up with transactions due to high volume traffic.  both are decentralize exchanges so they dont have no control on your funds.  practice caution vs phishing sites.

From my  little experience, I'd say that ForkDelta has been quite safer than EtherDelta in recent times.

Safest options are:

I. Have your metamask extension installed. Mind you, the metamask extension is now available even for mobile devices on browsers like Yandex and Firefox...
II. Withdraw your eth or coins back into your wallet after successful trade
III. Never forget to click on "forget"... Simply put, always log out before exiting the browser

With these in mind, the risks involved are greatly reduced.

Will ,as far on my experience in forkdelta trading i could say yes its safe,but the exchange value is of your  coins is so low when you sell it,because they buy it in low prices and you need to wait  a buyer  if you want to sell it according to the price thats you wants and thats we call a sell limits,and the processing fee is so high,therefore  i find another kind of exchanges with high price when you sell your coins and low processing fee in order thats we can obtain a good earning.

Forkdelta has no difference to Etherdelta, this is the most dangerous exchange platform that I know in this business. Why? because before you can able to use their platform you need to import your private key and Eth address to their exchange which is not good due to your wallet could get easily be hack by the hacker. One thing I always do when I am using a decentralized exchange is that I use a particular wallet wherein the only coin place there is the coin I want to exchange because if I use my main wallet and hacked then I am doomed. I may spend more fee in sending it to that wallet first but at least I am just avoiding all of my coins getting hacked. I never do trading in Forkdelta because of what i have experienced in Etherdelta couple of months ago. It was when the fiasco about the market itself being robbed by cyber criminals and it almost traumatized me because i got my crypto assets there. Luckily, i escaped from there and managed to transfer my tokens to another wallet.

The  benefit of Forkdelta is that we can find new coins there with good prices and no need for KYC.

You can use metamask and won't have to import private keys, just login in metamask and refresh the page of FD. All dexs on eth blockchain work in the same way using your eth address.
