Few days back i found that you are not going to be promoted if you are unable to get more merit.
1 thing i know that you get a merit by making a good post which is helpful, but i want to know more ways to earn Merit?
how much merit 1 single account can give to other?

There is no other way to receive an easy merit! You just receive it by posting something meaningful and with a sense of course.

So work hard on your posts and make them constructive to have the knowledge they can read too !. The only really difficult for us to have merit are the people who prefer to give merit for their alts or is swapper they merit to someone else to take advantage of it.

Even posting useful information won't guarantee that you'll earn some merit. Most of users just don't wan't to share their merit, or they just don't know the rules. So it's a real headache to recieve merit and reach a higher rank.

I just shared the merit to you bro. If you have concentrate on technical discussion and statistical data share here means you will be able to get the merits bro. Please do not worry about getting if you are able to give quality posts.
There is nothing problem to earn the merits hope you understand it now.
I see smerits has been reduced from the amount I have earlier. I think every quarterly it has been revised.

This merit system is really something.

A lot of people don't understand it and will never give merits even for the best and most educative post that can ever be created.

 A lot of people are stranded in their current ranks not because their posts are not insightful or educating enough but because they are just unlucky by not having their posts seen by people who are open to hiving merits

You are right, the merit system doesn't work very well now, because people don't know how it works. And they won't distribute their merits to someone else easily. It is really difficult now to pass to the next rank.

They did this system to stop the spamming. Before you would pass at the next rank if you wrote a certain amount of comments.

Now, it is people who decide to whom they are giving their merits. You have to create/write a useful things that a person didn't knew/hear about

And they might give you a merit if they want and if they have enough smerit. Everyone i think have 5 smerit to give. And you get 2 smerit if someone give you one merit if i have understand it.

Did someone succeed to pass to the next rank after they put the merit system? It would be nice to have a list of person passing to the next rank. As it is now so difficult to pass to the next rank.

Honestly Merit should only be given to people who post helpful and constructive posts. Otherwise everyone would have a lot of it and it would defeat the purpose of the system. Maybe find some threads that others need insight into and you know the answer to. Maybe people are not used to giving merit out too

As far as I know, this is a limited and non-recoverable resource in the entire forum! Only in selected people every month is restored. I think this is at least dishonest.

I don't think it is the lack of knowledge that is preventing giving out merits , it's just that most of the people don't want to give out merits and increase the rank of other people . Perhaps they should look at the rule and redesign it like of they don't give out merit ,their current merits will decrease

To get merit you must create a good useful post. You must share your real experience, experience that can bring a real benefit to users.

To get 10 merit  for the rank  "member"  is easier than getting 100 merit  for the next rank. I think it's fantastic.

Actually this merit system,now is not functioning even if you have a good and constructive post doing this forum community,i thinks the real reason why should this merit system to be implemented is to minimize,and take away of those spammer who only doing shame and make a bad reputation into this community.definetly there are some person have a high rank here in this group making a preposition that  who ever  he like the quote into his statement he give him merits as a reward.

There is no easy merit, this is not a bonus or like that, it is about the quality of your post so with one post you can simply earn even one hundred merits or just one.

If this merit thing will work effectively then everyone has to be educated about how it works. I for instance woke up one day and saw that I had a merit. I didn't know where it came from and I never bothered finding out. But now that I know what it is, I am of the mindset that bounty campaign managers are the most likely people to benefit from the merit system since they have the chance to do a good work and receive merits from bounty hunters.

Merit is not possible to easily earn today. It is necessary to pass the time that users of the forum understand how it works and are not afraid to lose it. Just be active on the forum and, possibly, get Merit. I still think that the idea with Merit will not last long  and the bitcointalk administration will change it.

I agree, I've only received 1 merit since this whole thing started.  I understand why they did it though. 

I don't think there is easy way to earn merit. First of all you have to write really good post and then you have to be a little lucky.

You simply need to share useful information for all community, such as some news,ideas or infographics,and I hope kind people should give you some merit,cuz crypto is alive because of its community:)

Earning a few merits in order to become a member rather than a jr member... I get that.  That makes sense.  But earning 250 merit in order to go from sr to hero: how on earth is that even possible?  I'm not saying I'm the smart ass guru around here that should be given merit for every post.  But I've posted a lot and still don't get much merit.  And so do most of the posters here.  In fact, I haven't come across posters that got more than 20 merit.  I'm sure they exist but 250?  Come on!  That's just too much.

Look, dude. I've gained merits with so much effort. I am one of those disappointed at the merit system at first because I am nearly ranking up when I've met the merit system. But with theymo's reasons and other mods, I understand that shitposts and spams were spread all over the forum threads. Replying in a thread with Constructive posts will reduce spams and will also improve our forum community. 

It's not easy to gain merits but with some threads offering some arts and quality post, you can gain it. With still effort.

What i hate about such messages is the word "easy".  Nothing is easy. Work hard, provide content of high quality and maybe you will be merited. All this merit system is about to filter such "easy gainers" from the community.

In reality, only few people who are concerned on giving sMerits whatever the post quality is.
Merit isn't about posting good and quality posts because there are too many comments and posts this time that earned merits that doesn't deserve merits.
Like for example on Meta section, those accounts busters are getting merits that has nothing to do with quality posts and in the most situations, fellow higher ranks are the only ones who are exchanging merits.

The easy part of getting merit does not exist.
How many times I read good posts but nobody cares giving merits, as I do. Read a lot of comments even a single page but I don't care hitting Merits as doesn't care hitting likes on my friends posts in my Facebook wall.
Earning crypto and earning merits at the same time is impossible most of the time.

You'll become a bonifide full member in rank after 30 months and and earn a little bounty stake tokens 30 times before you hit that next rank. LoL
I still don't believe on merit system as I read more good and quality posts but still no one cares to hit Merit on their credit.
I know you worked hard to earn Merits but working hard for a year is insane that you're trying to impress everyone but they're just staring at you and does nothing.

IMO, it is challenging to earn Merit now because of the difficulty of implementing the Merit interface. Usually, the post of mod and admin will often be a lot of merits. As for regular members, it is necessary to have quality content and help many people to earn a substantial Merit. The amount Merit can send based on your rank; for example, Member will have 2 merits sendable: D

every 1 merit we get, we get 0.5 merit (for the share) meaning, when someone get 10 merit ,, he can divide 5 merit to another account ,, now this is an indication if someone will not give merit merit, just high quality posters that can earn merit

Lately it's getting more difficult to get merits even with constructive posts. Just keep trying and little by little it will be coming slowly but surely

since this rule has implemented it became so hard to earn any merit even if your post is meaningful, i dont think people can even easily get 100 merits from posting, it may take alot of time.

Let me warn you "arthurgrand", I have more than a dozen of accounts and I farm merits only with my alternative accounts and you don't have to explain me you're not doing it because I don't believe any of your reasons and just keep it with yourself.
Please stop it while it's early because I was busted by some genius members in this forum and if I were you, I better give it away to other members you don't know by giving them credit through your sMerit only if you found out that they are a good and quality posts.

Earning crypto is very simple but you don't have to work hard just to earn handful of merits because stepping into the next rank is difficult and it would take you over a year to get a little bit higher slice of bounty stake tokens.

You used the word 'easy' and i think its as simple as that. Be comfortable, keen and sincere in your interaction, and let the words speak for themselves. The merit system definitely works, for each time a merit is given, you know you are rewarded by someone who has benefited, or truly appreciated the quality of your words, information, or simply genuine intention.

"mariayaz" since you are a Jr. Member, I don't think you could simple step into then next rank as Member because for me on my personal understanding, it will take over a year to rank up your account.
Trying hard to rank  up your account just to increase a little slice of bounty stake tokens of signature bounty campaigns is pretty useless because we're too late.
You better make a couple of dozens of accounts last year while you're able because this time, don't think you could simple rank up that easily.

that's absolutely right, i totally agree with you. when it all started, i got 100 merits and 6 smerits to spend. to become a senior member i need 148 more, i have no idea how i could get so many points to have my rank upgraded. this situation is devastating. of course, it's a nice way of motivating forum-posters but there are not many people with a nice number of merit points to spend. so if i get lucky, i will get.. i don't know.. how many.. let's say 2? 5? 10? for one great post..a frustrating situation happens on the markets and on this forum..

I think that now very few who puts merit. Especially when some began to paint in red, of people who shared merits and to suspect everyone, it scared people. And now it is easier not to share merit than to put it to someone and wait for you to paint red.

if you want to get deserved easily .. must know and understand the topics to be made .. by making a post that made quality by not making careless and must be in accordance with the discussion ...

Merits are not easy to earn to prevent accounts spam on bounties, you need to keep posting good post, usefull and helpfull soon or later someone will notice you.

There are no easy merits. Each merit requires a quality post for someone to give you credit (merit) for taking the time to write it. A better question is what is a quality post?
A quality post should be precise, informative, well written and offer a solution to a problem.
Merits can be earned for helping individual members or the entire community. You can earn merits for the services you offer. Users will give you merits if they use and like your services but they will also give you merits just because of the fact that you are offering that service even though they might not need it.
You should not beg for merits and expect to receive them. Be helpful, civilised and honest and have fun.

Post in the sections you are good at and what is natural to you. Look in the help section, are there members looking for a solution to their problems? Offer them a solution. If you don t have an answer for the problem yourself try to google it, read about it and in that way you will be able to help that individual out and you will also have learned something in the process.

There is no way to earn easy merit . Even more , there is no any guaranteed way to earn merits on this forum . I saw a lot of shitty / stupid / useless posts which was merrited for +1-20 , as well as a lot of very informative and helpful posts , which received zero merits . In addition , as I can see it is far more harder to earn merits in any local boards , probably because of a lack of "merit sources users" . So to get higher chances to recieve merits you have : 1)to be a native English speaking user and post in popular threads 2) Your post must be useful to community 3) you must be lucky enough to make your post visible for "merit sources"

Is not easy to earn merit you need to post to the forum with quality post that have make sense and related to the question. If people or moderator want your post they give you a merit that what I understand.

thats so unfair because theres alot of people that is not good in mking some post so they are unable to rank up unless there are some people give them merits

I do not know how does this merit system really works. I am also a quality poster but it seems no one give me any merit. I saw a lot of quality post in every section but no one gives to them. But I also saw a lot of natural post that has a merit. So, how does merit system really works? Well, I do not protest about merit because it is good for the community. What I do not want is how the users take advantage to the system. Merit is not easy to earn, you have to impress other person in your post.

I tried writing quality posts about bitcoin,alts, mining, regulations, speculation and consoling people that were at a loss but never recieved merit. It's like a mythical creature that you hear alot about but never see it personally. After a time it demotivates you to put effort in it because no matter how hard you try reading whitepapres, news, charts etc. and spending your time to help others you get nothing in return :/

Exactly. And most of people i know here in forums stucked in their ranks, including myself, because of this. We are no spammers. We join discussions healthy and share good ideas with others but didn't got merit even once.

Having a merit is really the hardest part in the forum, though you been trying to compose good comments but it is still not a guarantee that you will be able to get a merit in return. Anyways, I just don't mind for now and only time can tell when will we get a merit but for as long as will continue what is mandated in this forum to make good constructive post then it will come in due time. If you will get a merit reward soon, then it would be a blessing for you since many of the members wanted to raise their ranks.

There is no such thing. 'Coz if it were easy, then the merit system would be a given nonsense from the start. The merit system have sent a clear message to all forum members to wise up and make quality posts in order to get a chance to be merited by someone. But I know that the main issue here for most is not being able to rank up easily due to this system. Which is so difficult because most members are not inclined to sending out merits because of the fear of being tagged for reasons of being accused of meriting alternative accounts. So it's either we keep crying and complaining or we shut up and just be contented with our current rank.

It's really unfortunate that even if you do a good post there's no assurance that you get merited by others as not everyone is aware of the merit system. If you are a Jr. Member, I think you'll be happy enough if you get promoted to a Member rank because good bounty campaigns requires Member rank to be able to participate. I think there are threads here that gives their merit to others but there's a lot of requirements first before you can get one.

Here already listed all possible options, and they are all the same. Write high-quality comments, or create useful, thoughtful, constructive posts. But the most important thing is that even if all these conditions are met, nothing and no one guarantees you that you get to merit. The conclusion is a waste of time.

Its basically now super hard to earn it if you are relatively new, first thing is if you are new than you will not have that much knowledge about stuff to share so that you could recieve merit, and than the second thing is that even if you make something really good, mostly you will not get merit as either it wont be noticed that much or they will not bother to give you any. Kinda sucks but it is what it is

Earning easy merit no more. The rules had been changed for giving merits because of some issues. Many users has been stucked on their respective ranks. There is no problem in making a helpful one constructive comment, just fully understand what you'e reading and writing. The question is how will the merit sources find and take time to read your/our comments from all the comments written in the forum for us to be able to have that  elusive merit point. We need a lot of hope and a great dash of luck too.

It's really not easy to get merit there are lot of people above 1000 merit but they don't want to give that to anyone even your content is of high quality.

It is so hard to earn merits now. Not everybody is willing to give you merits even if you write a quality post. I guess I will be in Full Member rank forever ( I hope not). When you want to earn merits, all you need to do is post a quality post or create a quality topic. I hope there are moderators also giving merits to those deserving it.

I agree on all of you, this feels like a lottery for us stuck in Jr.MEmber rank. But we must also have patience and hope for getting merits even though we give good posts. This does takes time and patience so just wait for something to happen. There is no such thing as easy merit.

I understand your feelings, I'm still at the rank and I probably will not be able to upgrade my rank. I have been trying to cultivate a lot of knowledge about crypto, bitcoin, ICO, lots of other things to foster my writing.
I have a lot of constructive posts, help new members but very few people for merit. I'm still in a stalemate. someone please give me advice?

There are no ways to get an easy merit. Merit is something that you will get in exchange of a very useful and helpful post that you've made. As far as i know, the merit system is created to lessen if not been avoided the widespread spamming within this forum. With this merit system, every member will be forced to post something good and then the posting will be improve.

There are several people on the Forum who have proven that Merit is attainable in considerable amounts if you post quality content.  However, I've recently chatted with several senior (Full Member and higher) forum members in Discord and elsewhere who didn't even know the Merit system existed.

I think this lack of knowledge within the community is the major problem with the new Merit system - it will take time for everyone to get up to speed and become used to the idea of giving merit for quality posts.

During this time, those of us who have recently joined will have to work even harder, particularly for the Merit jumps between Member and Full Member, and higher.

This is the new system - no point in whinging about it - just suck it up and improve the quality of your posts.  The merit will eventually come - it'll just be a slower progression through the ranks for most people.

the sad truth is that there's no easy way for us to earn merit points, i notice some good post not getting merited, i believe the devs should make a new rule regarding this or appoint as much as many accounts since there's a lot of accounts here, let the DT2 members tag those spammers.

Yes, that's the truth. merit is attainable if a member improves the quality of his posts. The second observation is a sad reality that there are more people here that did not even know that there are existing merit system, these are those who are lazy enough to read from the forum other than the bounties section. I pity them.

The first thing is that people dont know that they are able to give merits to other peple and the other thing is that there is no reason to do that.
Why should someone waste time with that ? The meaningful information they can get witout to give any merits ...
The next problem is that people are looking at your rank when thy are reading posts. When your rank is low they start to think that you dont know what you are writing about...

Very difficult to get merit easily, rather than thinking about how to get better merit we make a lot of quality posts, without thinking of being able to merit or not when we don't think about merit in every post, when we get merit without guess it will be a happy surprise, so do not worry about merit just thinking about make a quality post

Merit system is good but the people who have the power to enable sMerit to give to somebody that post quality post are not all good. Nowadays merit disable us to rank up easily even we lost helpful constructive post the chance to receive merit is impossible unless there's one who wants to give willingly.

I think there's no easy way of earning merit here in this forum, even though that you make a good quality post or thread, it doesn't mean that you will earn merit. Because most of the member of this forum are just holding their smerit and not sharing to others, and this is the big problem of this newly implemented merit system.

It is quite difficult to earn Merit now. I have been active for months but my account has only 4 merits.

that's true, even if you posted helpful information it wont guarantee that all people who can see it will give you merit. if you have influence or you are well-known on this forum, you are guaranteed to received merit because that's reality.

Earning merits isn't an easy task but I have seen people who have earned merits with one liner posts.  I haven't earned a single merit yet and am lucky that I received my rank before the merit system was implemented. 

I am not convinced that this new system is going to make it possible for anyone to increase their ranks in future. Only members above a certain level actually started with any sendable merit I think it was Junior and once that sendable merit has been used they are never refilled. Therefore it is only down to a limited number of individuals within Bitcointalk who have renewable merit to award other members. If they do not actively fulfil this role then everybody will remain at the current levels no matter what.

I found some challenge trade here it has signatureless on it's title located at services section the O.P. would award you some BTC and merits if you won. All you need to do is post helpful posts here in our forum.

doing good work is not appreciated by the individual. Just like you like that post but you will read it and going to ignore eve that post would be helpful to you than even you will not share your merit.

merit depends on whoever on this forum donates to you. There is no easy way to get merit. Besides, you have to post meaningful and interesting comments to other people ;D

I completely agree with you here. The merit system at the moment seems to be a double edged sword. On one hand, the spam in the forum will decrease by a huge margin which is great news since I was tired of seeing the useless spam posts on a regular basis which has clearly reduced now. On the other hand, the entire merit system seems unpredictable since there is no guarantee that a particular member will receive merit for his/her quality post which could demotivate them. However, I do appreciate how so many members are helping each other through merit contests etc. Overall, I feel that this system is worth it in the long run.

Currently, the easiest way to find Merit is to provide or synthesize useful information. If your information helps readers, they will give Merit to you. And you should remember that the forum prohibits begging and give merit as a gift, so the only way to earn Merit is that you need to produce quality content, useful for the reader.

There is no easy merit and when I see you get merit for this topic, I think how come a topic like this could get a merit. Even when I try to help people in trading skills, no one gives me any merit.

Usually in the sub-local you have a moderator that ready to help you, if you have a constructive post please pm him, if your post is valid then he will give you merit.

Yes that's right, no promotion without merit! They are very hard to get, I think best way to get merit, is to be a topic starter and with the help of the forum users, if I write in topic, even best reply, I doubt it is going to be noticed and red by the people, who will reward you! Next answer to second question "how much merit 1 single account can give to other?" It depends on the rank of your profile! For example I can give only one merit in 120 days time and the higher the rank, the more merit they can give you! So good luck, if you have read this post

I think the difficulty to raise the rankings is only constrained from merit because it is very difficult to get the merit needed to increase rankings, I think you can get a merit when you have a useful Thread and useful for all people or people who are in need of information.

This is a perfect example of a shitpost that was written in haste by someone trying to meet a quota.  Though I haven't any evidence I suspect this member has multiple accounts--hence the obvious laziness and ineptitude.

Your one way of earning is the only way to earn it. And that is thru posting meaningful and quality posts.
What we can do is make constructive comments to help out each other, and hope that someone with a lot of merits to give will notice it and reward us with one.
But the burning dilemma is, even posting quality and meaning comments does not guarantee that you'll earn one. This is purely the discretion of account holders, there is no black and white of it or something.

I see the rules, the forum level above Member can have merit. And it can only be the release of excellent posts or other people to give merit to improve the account. So does it mean that my initial account level can only be upgraded to JR.Member?

If you are used to posting quality and meaningful comments, then earning merits would be a piece of cake for you.
But there is also this dilemma that despite posting quality comments, it is not a guarantee that you'll earn one.
This is purely the discretion of shareable merit holders.

You can get merited for high-quality posts. Now, what makes a post high quality? It's not about the length of the post. It's about original, short but clear answer to a question or something that directly describe how things work (related to crypto). As far I know, you one can give half of his sMerit. This means, if you have 100 merits, you can give 50 sMerit.

I guess the best way for earning Merit is to create new topics with useful information, or to monitor news and to be the firs who will post then on the forum.

I don´t think that Altcoin Discussion is right place to discuss Merit system. There are already hundreds of discussions in Meta thread. Just visit it, and you will find almost all answers Here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0). But.. you received 1 Merit, congratulations!  ;)

it depends on people who see your post. if it is useful and helpful then it's not possible to gain more merit. but it always depend on people if they're going to give you merit or not.

it depends on the rank every rank has a alloted merit to be send which is known as smerit the high your rank is the more merit you can give , but be careful because merit can only be given in someone who has a good quality post , although you have a freedom to give merit to someone it is better to give it to someone who is worth it for,

Its really hard to gain merits nowadays and constructive post is very rate that someone will give you merit credits. Alao the rate by rank is huge 100 for fullmember and 350 senior level? Its so hard but let’s hope the management change the rules about merit system but its nice and take this as challenge and for development of our community good luck .

Getting merit nowadays in the forum is not that easy. For what I can see for us to have merits to others community here is having a friends here in the forum is an advantage that's the reality things happen.

to get a merit you have to make a weighty post and that is very useful for people who need and can answer or provide solutions for new players, because at this time I see there are some people who want merit but do not have good post quality.

Its very hard to earn a merit. Even though you post a good  comment in a very constructive manner its still not easy to receive probably because each ranking member has a limit number of sendable merits. The rules is nice because those spammers would not be able to roam around the forum and post unlimuted non constructive posts.

Earning merits is really a pain on the ass! We have the same dilemma I am supposed to be promoted in to FM but the merit system didn’t allow me to get promoted. But I like to share with you how I earned 17 merits last month.

Based on my experience you will never earn merit by replying only the comment even it is good response. That’s why I change strategy to earn merit, what I do is I create a good topic in which the people can learn and comment easily. But I must admit creating good post is not that an easy task. You need to spend your ample time and proof read in that particular topic. I just hope you will earn your merit in future post.

Just have to focus on quality over quantity. Easier said than done, of course, and even then you still might not receive it but it'll come in due time if you focus on quality.

Yes, it sounds good on paper to prevent spam but we still see the spam and the good comments can often be overshadowed, regardless of merit or not.

There is no way to earn easy merits. If you want to earn some merits, you have to be an usefull member of this community. You dont have to just spam the board to get your post count for your bounty campaigns or for your activity. You have to make qualitiy post which are usefull for people who are reading your post. Even if you do this, its no guarnantee that you will earn meris. Because the members here who has merits have give it to you. And everbody has to less merits, so nobody want to waste it!

Its not so hard to earn merits if your making good quality post or helpful thread for the other people on the thread there's a lot of possibility that might someone will give you some juicy merits

As of now is so hard to earn  merit because this is the only way you to promote your rank but how we can earn merit if the others don't want to give there merits. For me to quality post is the key.

Seems to me there must be some kind of a trading system between friends in the community. I mean how can I possibly receive 100 merit?  ;D Seems almost impossible, maybe in few years time, am probably going to be promoted to Sr. Member on my deathbed or something

I agree with you, because I think Merit is less effective and unprofessional because not everyone gets Merit service with good post quality and I think it is not sportiv. and I see a lot of good post but do not get it and it's getting harder to raise the rankings because it takes a lot of Merit that's hard to come by. Hopefully in the future there is a more effective and professional policy

I don’t know how to give you an advice because for me I also don’t know why I only got merit sometimes even though all my post or replies are useful for all forum. So I can say there’s no easier way to have merit as long as you can help to give opinion and useful information to everyone inside the forum is enough. The important thing is you contribute to our fellow cryptos with your bright and knowledgeable ideas/comments/suggestion.

I do not think it is easy to earn merit. I have tried a lot but I have not earned a merit. Maybe I do not deserve it.

I don't see the merit system lasting. It is supposed to be a reward for instructive or insightful posts that are of benefit to the forum and thus the community, but in reality, it seems arbitrary and based on whims. Waiting on the kindness of strangers is a bad system.

You can earn merit for just making a good and helpful post and thread here in the forum. There are many people who does not earn merit because they are not focusing on the merit system in the forum, because if you want to earn merit you can try you best to post quality and helpful information to help other so, if someone like your post there is the possibility that someone give you a merit.

Sending merit is depends on the merit you have received because  when you received  merit from someone you can have  smerit half of the total merit you have received.

But, here is some advice I can give you since we are at it:

There is very little merit being thrown around in the altcoin discussion boards.
Most of the merit is in the tech boards and btc boards.

For each merit you get, you get 1/2 smerit to give.
As soon as you get an smerit, give it out!

Posts that join a discussion and respond to others tend to get more merit.

Try posting in different threads with different types of response and see what works out best for you.

If you make a good post you will get a merit. My first merit came when i make a post about country and cryptos regulations, I got three merits for that. I think posting quality articles will help you get merits.

easy merit? this is not a good idea. Check out the meta thread you will see that there are really good people spotting merit trades and abusement of merit system.

Many things have been said, but the only thing I can add to all of it is that there is no way you can earn easy merit what you just need is for you to do all what is associated in getting a merit point. And also likewise I have asked myself same question before and all still weighs on quality post.

Yes you are right.Its very difficult for me too to gain higher rank as my merit is still zero and i am stuck at junior member position.But i guess people are not aware of the system and its rules that is why no one is ready to share their merits.

Every higher account has different sendable merits, but it can't give to anyone that easy. You  must have meritable or meaningful or something helpful post in order to earn some merits. Check on meta board about merit discussion.

That's what also I think. Even sometimes, we may have posted the good and meaningful information, but everybody has their standard in giving merit to other accounts. It sometimes makes difficult. But, no worry, we should just improve our posting quality to get merit to reach a higher level of the rank. Actually, merit is very good standard to reduce spamming. I gave my merit in first few days. Now I see a lot of people creating really good posts and they got almost nothing for their work. And this very sad. There are very few merits now for posts and get them is not easy at all.

Alas, I knew this would be the case, unfortunately.  I do hope the system evolves past the abuse and/or a system based on peoples whims.

Actually it is not easy to get merit here in btc because you must know what is your talking about otherwise you will get lost so make a research first before answering the question.

Merit is important for your account increases your rank. So you put quality post. If other will be like your post. People will give you merit. So improve you post quantity. If get merit improve your account rank. Then you get more information. So follow you post. Nowadays more rules in the process. So before start check the rules. Well there's one competition in this forum that awards merits and btc if you win their posting competition, maybe you can join there but still I dont think It'll be easy to win though.

For now I think a person can send as much merits as they can with whatever numbers of smerits they got but once it will be dissolved or consumed you can’t replenish back the smerits you sent but you need to wait for the assigned person who can give out merits. But you need to have a good quality post wherein it contains something that can contribute to this forum or at least it is worth to be given smerits too.

The easiest way for me is the honesty, quality and useful information we give. Sometimes I see people trying to copy what has been previously given. I understand sometimes we share example the same idea, worse is, people sometimes literally copying everything. That is the purpose of the merit system. Be real and be true to your answers and try to feed your mind informations daily to easily answer them.

Cheating is the easiest way to earn Merit. LOL. You can cheat if you want but I think you already know that you'll be tagged because of this case :))). It's not easy to earn if you don't do anything to improve this forum or have good post to help other member in this forum :). Money is not the only thing hard to earn in this world, Merit is also really difficult to earn in here :)

That's life bro. Life is unfair so just accept it. You just need to wait an angel sent from heaven to see and give your quality and informative post a merit. Super hardwork is the best thing to have merit here. Doubling the efforts is useless you need to make it triple to just gain 1 merit.  ;D

Maybe this is really helpful advice, but it cant help to gain merits - because newcommers, if they find information helpful, cant send merits - they dont have them.
Same time older members dont draw their attention to that kind of info(for beginners) so this is a real difficult task to gain merits by posting info for newbies

Merit was a huge problem for me. I can't get a promotion. No one wants to give their sMerit. I don't know what to write in my post that people gave me a merit.  :'(

 I have my reservation for the innovation. Now u don't just get ranked just by machine count. Not automatic but by opinions influence. Some weeks back someone sent me a mail to pay me if I got him a merit, which I can't. This is like what it might turn to except more measures are taken.

After reading about this new Merit system, now I have and idea how it works, how to give merit and how much you need to your rank higher. As I understand the merit system was introduced to stop scammers getting promoted, there may be some others expectations too which I have not get yet and the purpose if good. as far as i understand your point of view you didnt know how much is your smerit have? try to give a merit and you will see how much you can send to anyone that have a good quality post though you cant benefit with your smerit you have to give it to someone though. as i know smerit is depending on what rank you have, member like me i have 1 smerit to give, the other half of that merit is goes back to me and if somebody gives me a merit i will have another half merit that makes me 1 another smerit to give to others. correct me if im wrong giys.

I think the merit is obtained if people want to give us, because I see a lot of good post but do not get a merit, so the merit is not dependent on what we post but depending on people whether to give us merit.

Merit for the most part is hard to get.  You really have to make a quality post that helps a lot of people to get any.  I guess that's the way things are now.  Overall it is better because it cuts down on all the people spamming.

Theres no easy way to earn merit. If you really want to have merit you have to work for it.make quality post. If somebody like your post then they will give you merit. But its really hard . Not all post can get merit even it is a quality post.

I agree that with the recent change in the rules for account promotion, people now have to put in additional effort if they want to get promoted to the next level. This may and may not work in people's favor. In order to get merits one needs to add some informative comments however even after that it is not sure someone will actually give merit to the article. I am sure there are many who do not even know what this Merit system is all about.

Your right, the merit system such become a barrier for us to explore more our self in Crypto forum. We will not be promoted unless we get more merit. To get more merit we should construct good post in this forum. My question is who is the man to values our post? Because for me as the second language speaker is quite difficult to make constructive post. We need to learn more to reach it. I hope there will be an easy way to get merit.

It is extremely difficult to earn merit even though your post is great and informative. Because usually the smerit of others give to their friend even it is not meaningful and informative. So there is no other way to get it easy. Good to do is always post and hopefully someone will give you merit.

Yes the merit system has both negative and positive effect on forum members. Yes it does filter members who are just here to spam and does not give a good post but it also effects those members who are genuinely interested with bitcoin. I am also worried about the other members not willing to share merits at all and just hoarding it. But either way there is nothing we can do but accept the merit system and try our best to give a quality and helpful post.

Why is this topic being discussed here? This should be a post in the META section. I for one am pretty much against the merit system because it simply gives more power to existing members and makes it difficult for new members. The sad thing is the merit system is clearly being abused by some people (swapping merits, sending to alt accounts, etc).

There is no easy way to ear merit. I think this merit system is unfair to others who are really interested with bitcoin. Others are not really giving their merit even though there are a lot of good post we see. Others just doesn't even care and doesn't share their merits at all. The only way to get merit is to make a constructive or useful posts. I review your history and I think you should improve your post quality if you want to have one because there is no easy way to obtain it. aside from giving enough information on this forum to other members, there is no other ways to earn merit. unless you have a higher rank and you are well-known on this forum, for sure once you made a thread like this, everyone will give you merit.

Another way to earn a merit is to post something that are meaningful and not just a copy paste or off topic, If people find your post as helpful then you can easily get merit. Learn how to improve your skills on responding on or posting threads. People will appreciate just don't stop learning, God bless you.

I think the moderaotor should also prevent or cap the amount of merit that can be giving by a person for a period, There is possibility that friend could be giving themselves or people with double account sharing it. Stringent measures should be taken to prevent fraud because it is not easy to earn merits.

This merit system is good but I think the forum user need to be educated about how it works.  Alot of users just woke up and saw merit on the profile  and don't know how it works and that has made moving  to the next rank quiet difficult this days.

It's hard to earn merit for a beginner in the Bitcoin community, but I think there are a lot of people who are involved in Bitcoin and the market, Their discussions are not good enough and the number of times they donate time to the community is low, so they have few certificates of merit.

There are threads in bitcointalk forum that give away merit by posting your best post's link to his/her thread to earn merit same as posting constructive post that will help most of us. The other is also posting and wait for someone who give you merit. The merit you can give is half of your merit. Example you have 20 meris and your smerits or sendable merits will be half of 20 and that's 10, you give 5 of it so the remaining smerits are 5 next time you give merit is up to 5. Your sMerit will change if someone give merit so from 5 and you receive two merits then your sMerits now will be six.

For get some merit only you can make good post.

Earning merit would never be an easy thing.It might sounds very basic on earning those points but it would be not a easy journey yet not all people would really consider you out on putting merit on your post unless if its really contributing then its possible but if not and just posting standard things then earning would be hard and wont really be easily recognized.Hurrying up wont really give you anything good.Just make a good contributive post then you might able to do it.

Posting constructive posts still don`t guarantee you the increase of merit, unfortunately. It is all very subjective, individual and more of luck business here.  Let's change this unfair situation and give a merit to those who deserve it :D

I think 1 merit can give per account and the easiest way to earn merit is the quality of your post it's hard now to gain merit unless your post has a quality that can touch one user.

To earn easy merit you shoul post and reply a great message or reply. Be constructive. Answer the thread more seriously. Put some effort in it. Then if they notice you reply and liked it. Then thats the time they will give merit to that reply of yours. Very easy but so hard to achieve. Trust me mate. Be constructive. Youll get there. If not well, i guess i was wrong. But im very positive that youll get it. And have many merits.

to get merit easily you must have understanding and broad insight. especially in making useful posts. yes, if your post is useful as an example, share knowledge, discuss well, especially in knowledge. quite difficult and very not easy. well this is why you should try to have a pretty good quality.

This is absolutely true! I tried to do some research here to answer some questions with the best quality I could pull out but it is not enough to get a merit point because in the end they will still be the one who to decide if they want to share it or now. This points are really hard to earn but we need to leave with it and just keep on posting a quality post, you will never know unless we try and try.

It's really hard to earn merits now, unlike before its easy to earn activity points but due to spamming and nonsense post, now you have to earn merits to ranked up but some people don't know to use merits or they just don't want to give their merit. To earn easy merit is a difficult thing, and I want to know how to get it. It's really nerve-racking. What should I do?

I have observed that only few members get merit when posting on an old thread. Usually, posts on META thread get more Merit and those who created the threads get merit. Make a constructive and helpful post and hope that someone notices it.

You should to share good comments and maybe you share ico's but good ico's if you share bad ico's people not trust you if you shard good ico's after we will send merit.

There is no easy way to earn Merit, you only merit it by your posts quality. Even posting good posts can guarantee you having some Merit, I hope forum managers replace this system because no one can be promoted, only cheaters can.

There's no such thing as an Easy Merit/s but if we work hard on it we will get merits from our very meaningful post that may help everyone on this forum.

The whole point is that getting them is very difficult. The only way I see this or really write very high quality and useful posts, or offer people a service in exchange for merit

You wont get merits even you posted quality contents because not all the people will appreciate what you have posted,the reality will be far from the theory that is why we are hopeless of getting high ranking here because merit system only benefits those high ranks! it is indeed biased system created by theymos who are the owner of bitcointalk.

Sad to say but even if you have a good post or even a helpful one will not guarantee that you will get even a single merit. The only key to get a merit is if you have many friends here in bitcointalk that are willing to review and give you a merit. You are very lucky if you even get 1 merit every single day.

that is exactly what i think.. i think we'd better be more generous with this merit situation. i offer you, forum-friends, to help each other. let's start the chain of giving and receiving)) cause we are stuck with this together, and without each other we won't break through.

So getting a higher rank then member looks like a impossible task. Everybody is just spamming the board to get their counts for their bounty campaigns. So if you make a really good post, nobody will read it because 5 seconds after there are ten new spam post. So the only way to geht those merits is starting new threads with usefully advice and new information. The first post of the topic will almost everybody read, all the following answers nobody!

i think there is no limit in giving a merit if you to give it to some one who deserves it. there are lots of people also thinking how to earn merit easily but the only way is to make your post a useful ones so if there are some people who reads that and satisfied with it. it make sure that will give you merit

I didn't whether this will work or not, I myself also have not get any merit. create a new topic on the thread that is considered to be the initial learning about the forum or about crypto. if unsuccessful, try creating a new topic on a bitcoin or altcoin thread, creating a topic that provides helpful information. such as price updates, or government information.

it is not easy to get merit, maybe we should make the post really meaningful but it really is not easy. I have tried several times to post some useful things but it is still difficult.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way or way to win a Merit. I do not know why people keep the sMerit's in their accounts, but in recent times there have been so few merit in the forums that they have been counting where there are many members. Merit is the only thing you can get is to send messages at good quality so that it is much harder to find a member who can give it for your good message.

Every higher account has different sendable merits, but it can't give to anyone that easy. You  must have meritable or meaningful or something helpful post in order to earn some merits. Check on meta board about merit discussion.

In my opinion, there is no other way than to make quality posts to get merit, because that's the main function of merit system, in order to reduce the spammers, merit system does have a negative and positive side, but I think more positive

For now its hard to earn merit that gaining profit in invesment,sometimes you have high quality post but theres no want to give merit,so sometimes too i think merit system is fair for beginner or fair for all?

I think this requires you to publish a representative and constructive post yourself. It has great suggestions for people. Then you may gain advantages. Another possibility is to gain advantages through exchange of interests.

there are no such easy way to get more merits but you can earn them buy posting such a meaning full post of starting a meaning full thread on the subject so they can give you merits

I think it's not easy to earn merit. But with this post I gain more knowledge how to received merit. To follow and used this information.. Actually i dont have one just curious having a merit is it important? And how important it is?

It is difficult to get merit, unless your post just solves the other user's questions or ideas, which requires us to get merit through daily communication.

Merit is have an advantages and disadvantages! Merit is good way to promote a good quality post. The implementation of merit is good to create a knowledgeable post and to avoid spamming. Although merit is very hard to gain but it has a  good effect to others. But other members said that this is unfair because merit is also in favor of high rank members.

For me no matter what rank are you as long as you learn in this forum.

The idea is that you earn merit naturally by making informative or helpful posts. In practice this works to an extent, but I've noticed that there is not much merit to be found in the altcoin section of the forum. I think this is probably because merit givers (and merit sources) tend to be hero/legendary members who have been here for a few years and have a lot of technical knowledge - so they tend to frequent the more techincal and bitcoin areas rather than the alts section - which is understandable, but a bit unfortunate for those of us who deal mostly in alts. The answer I suppose is to develop more knowledge of bitcoin itself, and then make positive contributions to the technical and bitcoin-focused forum areas. Which I imagine is part of the aim of the merit system in the first place.

There's no easy way to earn merit as I have seen clearly now. You can only earn merits when you work for it by making quality posts and promoting the forum. The second option is when your friends gift you merit or when you buy it. As such there's no easy way to that.

same with me, altough i have to already quality post but until now, no one give me merit. my post until 120 but until now i didnt get a merit. so hard to hope people give a merit. so what should we do for newbie newbie like me ?

there is no other way to earn merit in an easy way, you must be well-known or high rank enough to hook their attention. as you can see, there is a lot of people here in this forum creates a list of people who "abuse" the merit system. but as I understand, merit must distribute to other people since we dont have any use of it to ourselves. well, there are also some reason why they do that.

I've seen people make really well formatted posts and get tons of merit for it.  Even really basic posts that just showcase a feature from the forums on bitcoin talk here, or just a general trading strategy.  People love instructional posts in this space because there's a TON of things people don't know and will appreciate those little tidbits of knowledge.  Even basic things can escape some people if they never had any opportunity to learn them.  Focus on helping new people and I'm sure you'll get tons of praise for it. =)

I think there is no easy way. To get merit we have to make quality posts. To make quality posts we must have enough knowledge. To have knowledge we have to always learn. So, to get merit we always learn. That's not easy.

I agree with your fine comment, as what others says no guts and effort,  no glory .There is no easy merit unlike before as the others said. A productive post makes the discussion more develop and worth medium.

You just have to give posts that help people in something. But I believe that the amount of merit for the transition to the next rank is too much, this should be reduced.

having a good reputation because of your good post or reply where you post your reply or reply so they give you the merit they give depending on your good answer to them.

Yes, it is true that you cannot easily receive a merit. You need to work hard for every post you make for to impress others because they are the one who can give you a merit. Give them the information they want to know and elaborate it so that they can give you a merit.

We cannot earn easy merit in simple ways.merit usually earn if u share usefull ideas,a better cnstructive post that can be used to dessimate infrmtion for the cmmon good.

There is no easy merit and when I see you get merit for this topic, I think how come a topic like this could get a merit. Even when I try to help people in trading skills, no one gives me any merit.

I think the moderaotor should also prevent or cap the amount of merit that can be giving by a person for a period, There is possibility that friend could be giving themselves or people with double account sharing it. Stringent measures should be taken to prevent fraud because it is not easy to earn merits.

It's very difficult to gain merit, that's why most of members of worse full members will never rank up...even if you write good posts of give good answers it's very difficult that someone give you merit.

Thanks to everyone here for providing useful tips on earning merits. I see in this forum it can be a challenge to earn merits, but by helping people with technical problems they seem to be more easily earned.

Ranking system in this forum now became strict and difficult because in order for you to proceed and ranked up you need to earn a MERIT. Earning merit is very hard to do because you need to have a post which is very constructive and informative in order to gain a merit. So I can say that as of this moment in this forum earning and gaining some merits is really hard and difficult now.

in my mind, if you want to make a profit you can post something of quality and meaningful, do not just post garbage and not meaningful, in fact even if we post something of quality, if nobody is interested to give us a reward, then we will not get a reward. so we have to work hard again so we get it and have to focus to try and work according to our ability.

Like what others have already pointed out, there is no such thing as "easy" merit.

You need to work for the merit you gain and this can only be done by posting helpful and constructive topics or replies. Nothing is free in this world and nobody owes you anything, if you want merit then you have to get out there and earn it.

I do not know the right answer how easy it is to earn money and I think that nobody knows. The only correct solution is to write the right and necessary topics on the forum, give the necessary advice, help newcomers. But here the problem is, since the measure does not recover, all topics do not receive much merit.

The only logical way is keep posting meaningful topics on forum. Noone is going to discover new America but it doesnt mean same thing that to make shit posting on forum. Let's face with straight facts and always debate on knowledge required threads

i do agree with this merrit regulation, so people will tend to make useful and helpful thread and minimizing spam or even scam in this forum, but in my opinion there are many good and meaningful post or thread did not get any single merrit i really dont know the reason. to be honest, merrit is the main purpose for everyone with low rank right now, since abusing merrit is prohibited here. do not give your hands up in making good quality post and thread, we are learning and i believe merrit will come.

Your post must be helpful to other member and not only add your post count. Your post has a sence that can use of the other member and help them for there decision making.

It's indeed hard specially for people who does not gve enough effort and thought in their posts. Shill posters who try to make their post look longer by repeating the same thing ove and over with just some rephrased sentences.

Btw, if you have a really good thread that can contribute very much in the community here, getting merit is not that hard  I've seen threads get merits almost everyday l.

There aren't easy merit to earn. If you want, you have to contribute to the community by posting quality posts. You will get merit worthy of those contributions. Try to help new member also help you get merit.

Earning merit nowadays is very difficult, even you will try your best to make quality posts, there are still some people don't appreciate it. But, it is okay. Let's just wait and don't violate the rules of this forum.

Merit system actually good and also bad,there is no other way got merit in addition to making the post quality and useful,these moments can actually reduce spam for people who origin of the post to chase a rank, but a side effect because it is too hard for new member so stack in the rank of Junior Member.A few days ago I heard there is another way gets the merit that is buy it but I don't know it's safe or not

Merit is a good "stopper" as there were numerous people scamming bounty with multiple accounts on 1 bounty with low quality post.

I think it is not easy to get merit, just one way is to make a post or information that is very useful and useful for other mamber, therefore knowledge and experience is needed here.

For me, the chance of getting merits is even harder than waiting for your altcoin to rise  ;D This needs to be changed one day.

Well, my own little submission is that, merits are earned from quality posts and that's all .

To earn Merit in the best way I consider it to write a useful article on the forum. It should really bring new knowledge or skills to the forum participants. If the moderators consider the material worthy, they will reward you with a merit.

The merit system is not working well because there are currently few merit source that will give merits to the people who posted meaningful replies/ helpful threads that will help the community. Because today, the most informative out of the best posts will only have merits. Something like 1 out of 100 users were given merits for their meaningful posts. And most of it are in the technical discussions. That's why it is so hard to move on to the next rank.


I think that you are given 0.5 sMerits (Sendable Merits) if someone gave you one merit. So, you will get 1 sMerit once you received 2 Merits. Hope that cleared out for you.

Just like making money, merit is not an easy to get we need to pursuade member here to give us some merit by helping them in a good way. Like posting a topic which unfamiliar to them so they read and gain knowledge. Here in the forum, 2 transaction, there will be share and also there will be gain. Give and take and hope someone will give you merit being a public servant for the community

I think it is very difficult, of course there are some major factors in making a highly qualified post until you are rewarded by members in this forum. that is the point. so you have to dig up the knowledge and insight even more in good grammar

Is possible to receive merit even you are just commenting or replying in someone's post or is it only for those you post something informative to the thread? I've heard of that swapper thing, they want to exchange their merits for alts which very alarming cause they could exploit those people want to have merit. Meaning selling at a high price..

If you can get the Member rank relatively easily, then to get the next rank will have to work very hard. I'm just unlucky that I registered on the forum too late. These two months would have changed a lot.

lol. i think money is more easier to get than getting your requiredd merrit for your rank in order to ranked up :) . with the help of cryptos , it is now verry easy to earn a few bucks a day because a lot of companies are now hiring applicants via online and they only paying us via cryptocurrency which is verry convinient.

The easiest way to get merit is to buy it, but it is the abusing of merit system and you can get red trust for it. The honest way to recieve the merit is make a good posts with useful information for forum members.

I do not know what is the exact thing that is happening here but there are some people that are saying that you cannot give someone a merit if no one have given you already a merit. So it means that you cannot give merit to all people it is just limited with unknown amount. But of course in order to gain merit for other people you need to Persuade them and if you get their sympathy maybe they will gave you a merit because of that. Just work hard and post relavant a great statements.

To be honest earning merit is really a difficult thing even though you had made a very good post with very informative information that anyone could learn from it doesn't mean you can get a merit. Though you had did the right thing, just continue to do good post since there will be a right time that you will be given merit unexpectedly. Another way to earn a merit is to post something that are meaningful and not just a copy paste or off topic, If people find your post as helpful then you can easily get merit. I think it is not as easy as you say, the evidence you have not get merit, it means that it is not so easy to get merit, even though we know the requirement to get merit does not mean we can easily get the merit.

Nowadays, you can't earn an easy Merit and that's a fact because you got to earn it through helping the community and post something that matters and that could help beginners and the rest. I've posted a lot but didn't even earned a single merit yet.

It's not easy to get a reward but with a tougher effort that offers some art and quality post, you can get it. So work hard on your posts and make them constructive to have the knowledge they can read too! The only thing that is really difficult for us to get a reward is people who would rather reward their alts or the exchangers they get for others to take advantage of it.

It is not easy to be merited by other people in the community unless you provide instructional information that would involve development and helped on the forum or the community of bitcoin and alternative coins. Unless otherwise, someone can relate to your situation and knew that you are really helping everyone`s success in this Bitcointalk. However, because of many users with one owner, the system develops a difficult means to earn a merit and that mostly made everyone in the lowest rank of jr. members. So long as you can help without expecting any merit then we will be able to see this community grow.

I do not think that merit improved the forum because the system is designed to give users possibility to share the merit, but this is not work, may be because of greed.

I do not think it is an easy thing to gain merits on these streets anymore. It is almost like you have to be linked with one of these big accounts to get some of these merits. It used to be that you have to comment or post useful and reasonable stuffs to be able to gather of the merits, but it doesn't look like that is the case anymore.

if i understand it correctly we can share half of merits wich we have, like if we have 2 merits, we can share 1.

It is not easy to earn merits here, only if you posting really helpfull posts ,vut even in this case only a few will reward you with merits, because they preffer to sell it for usd

To get merit nowadays has become a thug of war, even when you write something meaningful and educative people who even have enough merit to give out will still hoard the the merit to themselves despite the fact that it is of no use to them.

Merit system is really a headache. When I read the rules about merit system as a tool for upgrading to a higher rank, I felt so bad and I said to myself, would I ever upgrade to a member rank not to talk of full member or senior member, how much more hero?

The merit system is really extremely flawed and imo it needs a revamp. It’s not easy to get merit as people are so stingy with them. You can make a great post and get 0 merit for it

The merit system is kinda hard, not everyone in the forum may be able to construct a very good statement, but my point in here is that the merit system will make the community more motivated to make better posts rather than to make senseless posts and non-related posts towards that certain topic, it is hard to earn merit, but we need to be fully constructive in order for the community to give what we deserve.

It's hard to earn merits in this situation ,but as long as you quote them perspective you can earn merits to them in where they are able to gain knowledge about what you construct in the desired topic.

The Best Way to get merit is to post a constructive and knowledgable post other then that, you can get s-merit from any of your friend who is member or is on an senior rank then you. He/She can only send you merit and help you out to increase your rank...

So many things have really changed about the merit system. Even now, i rarely see good posts being rewarded with merit these days. That not withstanding, i think the new merit system has brought about more improvement in posts and comments.

It is not hard if you put your thought into your post actually. Even non-english poster can even get merits from locals who understand their posts. How is it hard to post a good statement?
What I don't understand is why do people think that you need to construct long paragraphs just to get merits? A simple and clear expalantion or post is fine.

Maybe you can get a Merit it by ngepost good news your experience who can make people inspired.
And it also takes a long time to get it because you need to write in this long thread.

Experience is a most important part to improve your rank. Your experience count very much. We need to write meaningful posts & comments of questions, when people read your comments and they get inspired from your reply. Your rank is automatically rise when your post is to good.

actually!..as I can see it....gaining merits is not really hard, as long as your thoughts and post is really worth it and full of sense...may be that's the secret!

I don't easily get merits as well, but constructing an informative thread is the most effective according to what I see. If you have something good to share some people might find it helpful and will give you a merit right away.

Merit points are really a problem to the users in this forum because it makes ranking up hard nowadays unlike before whereas the number of activity is what prohibits the users to rank up. The problem is that, the profit would be negatively affected by this system giving small payout to the bounty participants. Merits are hard to earn because not all users are participating in the new system implied in this forum.

Are you realize your rank now? Or I am wrong to see here? Your rank is still a newbie and doesn't have any merit points, you should rank up to junior member and get 10 merit points for rank up to member. Check your write before post it brother..

Unfortunately there is only one honest way to earn merit. We need to create high-quality and useful content, which will be appreciated by others. The only pity is that there is such a thing as greed. Do not always get merit for your work.

Presently, earning merit is quite difficult and not as easy as some may think. I remember introducing some people into this forum. Before they came in, i told them what the forum entails and about the ranking system.
I think two among these people were expecting to have merit easily as they proceed, because they saw others having merit.
I then had to explain all over to them again that, to have one merit is no more easy on the forum. I said, they have to give constructive and meaningful posts and expecting some to be merited if they suit the readers.

I think today merit is like a lottery, cause good posts are not a guarantee. Taking into account how many bounty hunters with multy accounts here and how many new acounts they register avery day the possibility of getting merit is dissapaearing, cause hunters award and pump their own new accounts. Therefore those who really makes constructive posts and receives merits are really lucky:). Merit became as a kind of internal forum currency which is always in "green" and grows to the moon.

The first thing if you wanna earn Merit is that stop talking about merit :). Don't care about Merit and just try your best to work and improve this forum then you'll become Merit millionaire very very soon :). But if you keep talking about it so you'll be ignored and receive 0 Merit all the time.

Merits have now become a very valuable thing on the forum. There is no single and easy way of earning merits aside making a quality post which solves the problem of another with a sendable merit or catches the interest of a person with sendable merits
