At this moment, we have a complete and fully working prototype of our new GUI-wallet. We are working on making it available to the public in the very near future. Our GUI-wallet is being written completely from scratch and will be a 100% original codebase. This is why it may be taking longer to get done than it might normally take. This allows us to carefully design a better user-experience than simply copying/forking someone elses project and changing a few lines of code. https://i.imgur.com/yS2H2AN.png The list of wallets shown on the left side all support convenient drag'n'drop functionality. Users can simply drag their wallet (.bin) file onto the main window rather than browse to find it among many other ones on their hard-drives. Unlike the main window, this list has a slight transparency allowing users to be more focused on the main screen (window). Just a little 'design-magic' and attention to detail to improve the overall user experience. :) On the main screen we aimed for a simpler, less-cluttered UI, so the user is not forced to delve into things like mixin and wallet rescan (if they don't want to). We've also paid a great deal of attention to bug-fixing with the overall goal of removing many issues users might have to deal with when using our new GUI-wallet. Extensive internal checks showed that our GUI-wallet sample is nearly fully functional and as a result we believe are moving in the right direction. Although we cannot quote an exact release date, the wallet will most likely still "Go Live" later in April, in accordance with the timelines mentioned in our Roadmap. https://i.imgur.com/MoP2YIF.png Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: dlsa on March 19, 2018, 07:19:39 PM no POS / MN ?

On your website and Twitter you state that the main net will launch when the announcement is made on bitcointalk. Why wait 24 hours from now? Please explain how to compile wallet Wallet downloading on site is disabled until mainnet launch. One of the ways to compile sources on windows using VS 2017: 1. Download and install boost libraries(https://boost.org/), make sure you've installed msvc 14.1 version 2. Get cmake 2.8.6 or later. 3. Instal Visual Studio 2017 with c++ package . 4. open the command line, go to the source directory that contains @cmakelists.txt do: cmake -G "Visual Studio 15 2017 Win64" 5. Now you have vs solution files. Just compile them to have binaries Good luck Of course, readme on github will be updated before launch Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: scum on March 19, 2018, 10:44:00 PM Nice looking ANN there, breezy. Lines GUI/CLI wallets as well as web- and light-wallets will have simple interfaces so that even a person who is not knowledgeable about crypto, will be able to use it. Low transaction cost is a cool feature too, I wouldn't say the transaction costs nothing, this is just impossible but the fee is really close to zero. Of course not to mention security, anonymity and super-fast transactions speed. Unfortunately I haven't heard ot TRTL and what's happened around it's price. Anyway I'm sorry for that. If it is a brand-new currency then probably the dev-team and community were too much concentrated on the price rather than development. This is not the case of Lines. NFC has became a widespread technology all over the world in no time and money/crypto transfers using mobile devices with NFC is a vital feature for the further development of the crypto-industry. Lines is one of a very few cryptos proposing a feature of NFC transfers for almost all the cryptocurrencies on one platform (although it is not implemented yet, we will see a first public version by the end of 2018). So yes, LNS is definitely worth your attention and will certainly not disappoint you ;) Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: dreampool on March 24, 2018, 04:11:44 AM http://lines.dreampool.info/

With only 500 h/s you can get ~100 LNS per day, that's not bad at all ;) Mine away until it's too late! As usual, consider spreading your power among other small pools like http://lns.euminingpool.com/ and a new one http://kenta.online/ created recently. Of course you are free to mine on bigger pools or on the dev-pool as well, no problem. Join the Discord channel at https://discordapp.com/invite/DaNUeub for news and discussions. Different bounties will be available soon, in fact there is already one with a reward of 1500 LNS for the faucet creation. Someone is likely to be working on that so hopefully we will see the LNS faucet go live very soon. It would be great add this info in OP. What advantages do you have? Project looks legit. Our main difference is the focus on simplicity for the end user. So the development is concentrated primarily on the infrastructure around the core: a web wallet with key storage on the client side, nfc, a possible escape from the wallet.bin container to the actual keys. At the moment, we use Cryptonote without any special changes, but we are working on improving the cryptonight algorithm to protect against asics. Minimal core changes and open sources will allow other cryptonight coins to relatively easily convert our products to their tasks, which is a plus Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: Vikhy on April 08, 2018, 07:38:29 AM Is there any airdrops /bounty ?

Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: krinjah on April 11, 2018, 01:39:48 PM There have been rumors devs are not that active as the Community wanted them to be. So here is the message-update to clear things up:
"Hi guys, I've been offline for a week or so. Sorry to haven't informed you all about this, I had to travel urgently and had almost zero access to the network. No one has to blame the dev team for the incativity (although you have rights to do so, obviously) but I think it's not true. Devs are active and doing some tremendous work on setting up a new wallet, testing it for the things to go smoothly right like it was on the launch of our coin back in March (do you remember it?) Not to mention the upcoming ASIC-protection fork, this is another big piece of work! The faucet is in place. The new version of site is also being taken care of. Imagine all these things are being done in parallel by just a small team of devs. But we are all highly motivated and we all do our best to deliver a good product. Guys, just remember - We.Don't.Ship.Junk Keep on mining and you won't be disappointed. much respect" Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: krinjah on April 16, 2018, 10:20:23 AM update on the Cryptonight v1 for Lines
Right now dev-team has launched the testnet for Lines cryptonight v1 (algo used in monero v7). It is up and running. Testnet block explorer: http://testexplorer.lines.pw/ Pool: http://testpool.lines.pw/ There might be some bugs (that's why it's testnet) and these are going to be fixed during extensive testing. To mine on the test pool you can download latest version of xmrig https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/releases and run it with following parameters: ./xmrig -l minelog.txt -r 20 --donate-level 1 -o testpool.lines.pw:9993 -u YOUR_ADDRESS -p x --variant 1 -k Please note again that this is just the testnet so everything is done in the testing purposes. That means all your coins you have mined on this test pool cannot be used in the mainnet. Windows binaries for cryptonight v1 testnet: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqcWoBasWJaTjLQSovurW_462ewBoQ Don't forget to join the Discord https://discord.gg/CVT3xmh Check the website https://lines.pw Newcomers are welcome to use our Faucet http://faucet.lines.pw to get some Lines to play with ;) Stay tuned. Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: fearofsalt on April 18, 2018, 07:09:51 PM At this moment, we have a complete and fully working prototype of our new GUI-wallet.
Although we cannot quote an exact release date, the wallet will most likely still "Go Live" later in April, in accordance with the timelines mentioned in our Roadmap. https://i.imgur.com/MoP2YIF.png Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: kittybox on April 18, 2018, 07:12:22 PM Wow good job :D

Lines algorithm has been successfully upgraded to Cryptonight variant 1. Everything went smoothly, as usual. Network hashrate is now ~150 Kh/s so that small miners are welcome back! With only 0.5 Kh/s (like a single 1060 AMD GPU) you can get ~600 LNS per day, this is really great. Also Lines are now traded on Altex exchange https://altex.exchange/markets&pair=BTC_LNS so you can buy/sell your coins there (please note the exchange is working in beta-test mode but everything is working fine for the moment. Like deposits/withdrawals etc). Have fun! Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: zatochi on May 03, 2018, 08:27:44 AM This project looks legit and it seems the dev team have great coding skills. Will continue mining this coin to support the network.
Question for Dev: Why do we have to first synchronize the blockchain before using wallet? With several thousands of coins having you download the blockchain first, such a system is not feasible and is time consuming. Have been using very few wallets from other new Cryptos, and didn't require downloading the blockchain to access funds. Can't the same be done for Lines Wallet? Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: potapo on May 03, 2018, 08:36:32 AM Is there any airdrops /bounty ? I'm sure there's a bounty campaign here. But believe me, a 1,000,000,000 of total supply is not a meaningless amount and it has been subject to a lot of preliminary discussions and calculations. Please also note this amount will take years be mined (https://lines.pw/lines-whitepaper.pdf)Anyway, thank you very much for sharing your opinion. Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: krinjah on May 15, 2018, 12:43:04 PM Even more became: Hash Rate: 5.91 MH/sec. Can who the that knows? Lines are becoming more and more widespread among the crypto-community since the trading volumes are increasing and the Lines ecosystem is being steadily developed and improved. Lines are gaining trust and people are investing into putting more hashing power for mining Lines. This is quite a normal situation imo. I'm 100% sure the network hashrate will return back to it's previous low values but this will definitely not gonna last for too long. Hurry up to mine and consider increasing your hashrate.Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: Piligrim80 on May 15, 2018, 07:12:58 PM I had a cli-wallet installed. It's a fix for difficulty which will help handle the hash increase spikes better and make sure we don't have long periods of time without confirmations/new blocks. You will need to upgrade your wallet to latest version before block 40k. If you go to any pool like https://pool.lines.pw/ you will see the "Estimate Mining Profits" section, this is actually a mining calculator and it's very accurate. Also, there is one in the Lines block-explorer. And I wonder why POW coins still continue to be created?? XLM is not a privacy coin, and it is now "owned" by IBM. I really don't see any point to compare Lines to XLM since XLM is has a completely different philosophy (the Stellar network doesn't use mining, just to begin with; the majority of tokens are held by the non-profit organization, etc.) I believe we can close the discussion as it is really irrelevant to what's being discussed in this thread. Yes, a small bunch of Lines has been sold at 21 satoshis on this exchange (good chance for someone to buy Lines for cheap by the way).Anyway, don't stick to the price itself because the volume is quite low. The main focus is the extensive development and testing of the lightwallet alogside with update of the whitepaper including some new features.Telegram-based wallet is under development as well. This isn't a part of the WP, consider this as a small bonus for your convenience. Lines team is way too busy by the dev-activities, sorry for some lack of communication these days, our resources are limited, but the development is ongoing on a daily basis. We will keep you posted with an update soon. Hi,Still struggling with the wallet, there is quite a lot of work to do as we decided it to be not a copy-paste one. But hopefully we will make it available for testing soon - first internally, then publicly. The development process is quite slow due to summer vacations and so on. Please understand we are quite a small team with little to no financing, doing almost everything with our own savings. Plans for the nearest future - wallet release, NFC transactions. Hopefully all the team will start working at full pace starting from September or a bit earlier. Simply put - the project isn't dead, there is quite a lot of development and plans for 2018 Q4 and 2019. We just needed some time to recover ;) Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: Lucasgabd on August 10, 2018, 12:32:47 PM When some news guys...we need some confidence to mine Lines! First of all make sure you are using the latest version of the Lines wallet (I mean lines-gui-win64.0.3.2). Then try to delete your Lines folder in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming (make sure you have made a backup of your wallet! We won't be able to rescue your coins if they are lost) and relaunch your wallet to resync it once again. That should do. I've just made a test, my wallet was synced 31 days ago and everything went fine. Also, how much money must be invested so that generate 500 USD per month from mining of your coin? Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: wishxy on September 04, 2018, 06:34:37 AM Any news lately?

Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: krinjah on November 12, 2018, 07:13:43 PM Whether lines wallet have a security seed ? Hi,You can restore your wallet using a spend key and a view key. If I got you right. It doesn't have a mnemonic seed phrase yet, this will be implemented soon in the next version of our wallet. What advantages does Lines have over something like NANO? Not liking the bad english, looks unprofessional. Team went silent for a few months and then magically came back. When dev team is urging to buy in, that is a red flag. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for passing by. We really appreciate any kind of critics. As per the 'bad' English, we are working on it. Not sure what nano is, you can do your own research and share your opinion. Cheers.Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: TAndrey on November 22, 2018, 07:11:51 AM hi guys! can anybody send me some LNS to test? Devs broke the coin and didn’t know how to fix it so they abandoned it and exit scammed. Wallet issue hasn’t been fixed for over a month and they stopped responding Title: Re: [ANN] Lines Post by: Biznotch on December 26, 2018, 11:58:39 PM Where does it say, that they broke the code, and don’t know how to fix it? That’s why they need investors.

They've quit the project or lost interest and dropped their activities. Unfortunately there wasn't much we could do with that. All of these things happened really suddenly. If you think they've dumped the dev-premine, don't worry, this is not the case. All the premined coins are safe. We can ask the original dev (fearofsalt) to show the screenshot of the premine-wallet. So, to resume, the project is "dead" technically because it's lacking tech-resources to support it. But the idea is not dead. If someone can take over the project tech-wise that'd be great.
