Most likely, such prohibitions occur in the framework of the attack on bitcoins and other crypto currency, which has been going on for about three months. It is unlikely that such prohibitions occur one after another spontaneously and accidentally. However, facebook and google explain their position by combating fraud in these social networks. How does it actually show time.

the answer is obvious! a large amount of cryptocurrency advertising clogs the Internet and prevents ordinary users from easy and easy use of the Internet + google and facebook are closely connected with the authorities, and this directly affects their decisions about the cryptocurrency!

This was I supposed to say on where such prohibitions do come after one another where theres a particular company prohibits cryptocurrency the other one follows up and as you said in just a matter of 3 months we have already heard out big institutions having decisions regarding to this which isn't really a good thing on my part.It might reduce fraud but limiting out exposure isn't really good at all.

Clogs the internet and accessibility? Seriously mate?I don't think this is a valid reason.I do rather believe that government do always have an involvement with such decisions been made.

They say it's because many scam schemes are promoted in Crypto-Currency world and that Crypto-Currency is out of control (no guarantees for investors, decentralized world). Truly, they are giants in the modern world, they have occult interests, occult partnerships and follow occult agendas. When a decentralized system appears, it threats their mightiness, as their power comes from the centralization, so they will do their best to centralize/regulate Crypto-Currency attending their agenda's interests or forbid it.

The reason is because their companies were being used by the advantage takers who are scammers. And this is why they are trying to ban crypto paid ads, they are not literally banning the whole concept of cryptocurrency but they want to ban the paid crypto ads because of these scams. Twitter ban is just a rumor and there's no update yet about it.

They aren't banning it. You can still talk about it. You can't ADVERTISE unless you are a registered trader. This is a necessary step to thwart scammers.

Sorta how this forum had to implement merit if you think about it. Forums like Bitcointalk, Twitter and Facebook need to figure out ways to control the scammers and confusion.

Yeah, this is kind of misleading news that cause people on panic. Well, all I can see in crypto ads is just a pure ICO and most of them are just a scam so better that thing to be shut off. One day, I know those big companies will finally use this kind of technology and who knows they might create their own token so for me don't panic about this news.

It is not Facebook or Google ban news which forced the Bitcoin price to fall that much.
But it was MtGox trustee who sold over 30k Btc and 30k Bch, and you can add the panic sale of crypto traders along with Mtgox trustee.

Just forget about Fb & Google and move on... Just don't give much importance to this type of things.
They are from the centralized world and crypto is the decentralized thing and it is really doesn't matches.

Remember, when China banned crypto? Does crypto vanished from the world after China ban? But the price went to Saturn as far as I remember.

I think you can not compare market price reductions with other social media bans, because I think the advertising ban cryptocurrencies in social media is because so many bitcoin communities are bombarding crypto ads, and the account managers are a good destination for the security of their users.

Yeah China didn't fully banned crypto, there's no clear news about the said ban and AFAIK it's only the ICO's.

Yes it is also not clear to me, maybe this is also why bitcoin price are dropping. There is no negative news that spreading with social media and there is no explanation that I've heard from Facebook and Google, ICO's can't advertise well because of this maybe that is why the bitcoin price is continue dropping. Hopefully they have to clear their side.

If we look at the bright side, facebook and google banning cryptocurrency might bring better impression on cryptocurrencies, at least first impression. Since facebook and google have a lot of users, cryptocurrency's reputation have been jeopardized by spammers and scammers.

I think even useful ad like crypto trading exchanges that are also using them to advertise will be banned as well. I've seen many exchanges that are advertise through google and even in youtube.

This already gave bad impression for cryptocurrencies so there's no bright side that way. Maybe there are some but this isn't that side.

There's no clear explanation about banning crypto ads on any social media, they're just afraid of harming their users in fraud, is not that what they mean? If that is the only reason they can at least be considered again where crypto spreads in many social media and other access especially users are also very fond of crypto. if a lot of scams are right, at least have anticipation in that.

I've seen many exchanges that are advertise through google and even in youtube.

What exchanges are you referring to? I honestly haven't seen ANY legitimate looking service advertising through either Google or Youtube's platform. In most cases when I was just searching for blockchain or Bitmixer through Google, ads clearly being phishing sites popped up. Seriously, who needs these ads anyway? If you search on Google for Bitcoin exchanges, you'll see now actual Bitcoin exchanges pop up, and not phishing sites mimicking Coinbase or whatever. It's a welcome change in my opinion, and I wish they did it months ago already.

Popular Google search results popping up on top of the page now;

Bitcoin exchange; GDAX.com
Bitcoin wallet; a legit local online wallet service, but after that, in more mainstream terms, it's blockchain.info
Bitcoin investment; articles pop up instead of whatever shady investment platform promising you 10% weekly returns

In current times ICO ads are still being displayed, but that will change within a few months. I am at least happy that Google has implemented some changes, especially when it comes to blatant phishing sites. Their algorithm detects and gets rid of phishing sites much sooner, that's something I have noticed.

I'm not sure about your first sentence and can't comment on it, but China is still progressing well and China is a strong competitor for other Nations.
Regarding the China ban, as far I knew that they banned ICO at first and then there was a news some months ago that they will ban trading or fully ban crypto... Maybe I've misunderstood somewhere or I heard a false news.

I am sure that there is a concrete explanation of such decision from some head manager of Google and Facebook on the net. They are banning only commercial of ICO and crypto projects, but as I heard the ban will not touch every crypto commercial, the own crypto projects of Google and Facebook are going to be advertised. That is simply agreement between this two giants, as the main reason I see protection from scammy projects, cause of in the case of lost investment people are going to judge exactly Google and FB, just cause of they advertised such ICO or project.

People are the real problem here. If they didn't blatantly fall for obvious scams, or even willingly invest in them just hoping they can profit before they implode, these scam ads wouldn't even exist. These scam ads exist because there is demand for them, and that's quite a pathetic development if you think about it. Common sense and less greed would make sure these services and ICO's wouldn't pop up like mushrooms after a rainy day. Other than that, people can still post on Facebook, Google, Twitter about ICO's, investment schemes, etc. No ads will result in less visibility for scams, but that's really it -- the groups and communities promoting scams are very large still....

Simply, they are not benefiting from the success of digital currencies (Profit financier) and also because of the pressure of some governments or countries on them , due to the existence of those cryptocurrencies and their development over time led to some financial losses, especially for banks ( FIAT) ,and they cannot control the transactions currencies, so they are always trying to destroy Bitcoin and other  in many ways (like, google banning crypto, ...).

Furthermore, despite all these bad attempts  which led to a crisis in the market, but I do not think they will be able to break the digital currencies because they are well protected.

There are several versions about the reasons why they do that: oficially they make it to protect users from scam, unoficially - they make it under the pressure of FBI, and others. In fact, I think we're not going to find out the real reason at the present moment...

Total ban can really be implemented but it doesnt really mean that they can completely kill bitcoin or cryptocurrency transactions since we do know we can still able to make transactions which is far away on the awareness of the government. They can ban it all they want but it is not completely the thing that can stop this very good tech.Earning money is just an another add up or benefits but if we do solely look for its main purpose then we cant deny that this do really have the potential.

The thing is, these two company does not want their names to be tainted or dragged by scam advertisement.  They are aware that not all cryptocurrency ICO are legit and most of them are just trying to prey on unsuspecting victims.  Aside from that they are already cases where ICO advertisement on google and facebook scammed their client.  So I guess this is just an action so that their name will remain clean and not to be used by these scam ICO's and company.

These sites regulates cryptocurrencies and ICO promotion because some of them are not acting in good faith. They only wanted to protect the public because it may lead to financial risk. Some of those are not legit and are scam. And people that are seeing or reading those advertisements might think that those are good investment, but its not.

the news to ban cryptocurency to their platform was because of, according to them mislead their customer, i just can't imagine how it mislead or hurt their user... anyways, life must go on to the crypto users, the ban it only for the ads...  i think this is just temporary, google and facebook and other conpanies gets largely  their revenue from the payment of the ads. cutting ads  will surely loss income to their company.

Bitcoin continues to be pounded by negative news. Unconfirmed reports about Twitter following the footsteps of Facebook and Google in banning cryptocurrency ads pushed Bitcoin’s price below $8,000 on March 18.

Any negative news about cryptocurrencies, usually the price of bitcoin falls.

I think Facebook, Google, has banned the encryption of money, probably because they want to issue their own encrypted currency, rather than advertise it for other passwords. Because Facebook, Google has too many users, it's a very large population.

It's a bit sad about it, but anyway because of the many scams that circulate in social media, it can be a weak point of crypto to be judged negatively. And also it could be related to a government that really forbids it and still thoughts that it's very risky.
But anyway.. everything will be fine I guess, the price will return at altitude, there are many people still supports on crypto till makes the market more crowded and looks greenish.

This is not an attack on bitcoin and the annoying part is that we are the ones who panic and convert it to an attack. How do you think most people have become victims of phishing websites ? It has always been through adverts such as this.

All these cryptocurrency scams, do you think they do not make use of adverts ? As long as these guys have explained themselves that they cannot guarantee the legitimacy of the companies or ICOs advertising, they cannot go ahead. Simple as ABC, so why are we making something out of nothing ?

Facebook might be banning cryptocurrency but as I can see Google didn't do that. Artbyte just showed up on Google Adsense banner and there are so many ICOs which displayed on youtube. But i really like if they finally ban crypto you know what, there are so many criminals used their service to promote their phishing site let's say a popular site like blockchain.info.

2017 is the year of ICO's outbreak, and many ICO have come out. I am not saying that ICO is not good, but many ICO are fraudulent.

There have been too many scams for more than a year, and most have been promoted through Facebook and Google, so Facebook and Google have banned the ads.

Facebook is banning all ads that promote cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, in an effort to prevent people from advertising what the company is calling “financial products and services frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.” Too many reports about scam and dirty works from crypto currency, that's why facebook and google team avoid this kind of problem. They don't want to use to be a instrument of misleading promotion through the wrong way.

Interesting that there's lots of talk an attack vector via ads, but little to none about the information contained in your profiles, searches and dealing. There must be masses and masses of people who haven't told the taxman and others anything yet have blurbed all over Facebook about throwing money at crypto.

If someone comes a knocking Facebook or google can locate your every single mention of it. If you've managed to keep your known bank accounts out of it, you might have failed with your online chatter.

So that's the good ones, only left legit ico's project in the ecosystem, let nature make its own selection. Look at the good side of this banning ads, that the coin's already in the market will continue to grow, while we no longer need to worry about the scam of new project's.

These social media are afraid that people will Sue these social media companies after being cheated!
Well no one can reduce the use of bitcoin but the impostors only but as much as I can see bitcoin will keep on increasing and it will never taste an end, everyone knows the profit and the potential of bitcoin which they can never neglect, advertisement of bitcoin is now being done at very high level, every second TV channel is advertising bitcoin, and all social media campaigns are helping bitcoin to grow and to increase in price, so I think they did not ban bitcoin but they are just deleting the fake and discouraging post of the bitcoin user which makes them think like this.

Once successfully purchased, they will announce that the forward information is confusing or limited to something. And I also have another possibility that they want to develop their own blockchain, to promote it stronger, more popular, more competitive, they will eliminate, restrict other crypto

All is just personal recognition. Have a nice day

it depends on the person if they wanted to get scammed. you know majority of people are still wise enough and they know whether that thing is a scam or not.

You can only get scammed if you are a lazy person that dont read and do a quick research in regards to your investments. so overall i guess theres nothing to worry about it and these companies and countries shoudnt have ban ico or other crypto related ads in the first place because they arent the ones who can get affected with this issue.

Maybe the correct question is, are they really banning crypto ads? Because I'm still seeing a lot of ads in my Facebook account alone. Well they have their reasons for banning those crypto ads, to really weed out those scam ICO, but it is effective though? There's still a lot of money pouring to the ICO every minute that I don't think that this social media has contributed to the downfall to say of scam ICO. And just observed that you can still see a lot of ads in your account as well, so I don't know if they really filtered out or they just say they are going to ban it but don't do nothing, or maybe they are pressured by the government to put a ban around ICO.

Google has been sued in Russia after the company announced restrictions on the use of encrypted currency advertising. Entrepreneur vladimir o 'rehov has asked Russia's Google to pay 2 billion rubles. He claims the ban deprives him of investing in cryptocurrency projects and finding investors to fund his business plans.

He complained that he had lost potential investors "overnight" due to the impending ban. Restrictions on encrypted currency advertising deprive him of useful information about other companies' sales of tokens. This will lead to "promising investments" that miss out on opportunities and will affect his future earnings. He also believes the ban is illegal and violates his right to access information.

They have banned only a sponsored pages on the facebook. So we do not need to worry about this at all still it is possible to promote the project with the share, post and likes. Facebook judges all the ICOs are meant to scam the investor. That is reason we are seeing the ban.
Whatever Google do all people use the google for searching the crypto results everyday. True fact about the Google's announcement is they wanna a add the new blockchain on their own platform with the centralized medium. I am not sure still how they gonna do it.

It's a practical move by Google and Facebook. I think they don't want their platform to be used for scams or fraud which is usually circulating on web. It's a good thing for the crypto consumers for them to be secured and not be fooled by scam advertisement. But still there is a minimal consequences that can affect crypto because of that act.

A handful of ICO scams have branded the entire encryption market. Because of this, baidu, weibo, Facebook, Google, and even the possible Russian search engine Yandex's crackdown on ICO advertising are seen as a way to distinguish between good and bad.

Facebook, the ban on Google is not the end, at least not this year. Phantom or fake ICO projects are theoretically obsolete.

What most people like the OP usually do not do is to read the contents and once they see the headlines, they start panicking and asking some questions that may want you to puke. First and foremost, relating to his topic, how can Facebook or Google ban cryptocurrency ? What has cryptocurrency even gotten to do with adverts ?

Secondly, if the OP and some who have been commenting annoyingly above us actually read the content, they would not say this. It is apparent the way scam has evaded the advert space and being used to take advantage of investors, and it is not like the advert is a total ban as long as you can prove your legitimacy, then you are fine, and I wonder where some people get theirs from.

Giant companies just haven't yet developed unified standards on how to evaluate cryptocurrency projects, including ICOs and everything related. Once the legal side of cryptocurrencies get regulated properly, everything will be fine again. Unlike gambling, hyips and such, cryptocurrencies in general are not illegal by nature, so it is just necessary to wait until there appear quality and legal standards for crypto projects, including ICOs, exchanges and such.

the answer is obvious! a large amount of cryptocurrency advertising clogs the Internet and prevents ordinary users from easy and easy use of the Internet + google and facebook are closely connected with the authorities, and this directly affects their decisions about the cryptocurrency!
You think it is about the easy use of the internet ? Does that even sound realistic in your ears ? These guys have been making a whole lot of money from these adverts and if the advert is a problem for you as an internet user, they really do not care and you can decide to use an ad blocker for all they care.

The main essence is just a result of the scam that the ad space is being used for and as long as that is in play, they would prefer to keep investors and internet users safe from scammers.

Well they ban crypto ads because of the one reason and it's about the virus that they will get and lot of ads consist an spam message and some are just a scam. They wanted to reduce it by the help of banning and not all are ban only the legit.

Social media platforms have recently banned advertising for cryptocurrencies and ICOs, but that stance is contradictory to the thoughts of their directors.

In January, the social network giant Facebook outlawed cryptocurrency related advertising in an effort to protect users from various ICO scams, fraudulent token sales, Ponzi schemes and the likes.

It has set a precedent that is now being followed by other platforms and service - but this disparaging move is at odds with the sentiments of the heads of these businesses.

The people responsible for the creation of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter have been singing praises for cryptocurrencies and their underlying Blockchain technology.

It creates a bit of a juxtaposition, as the companies they are responsible have enforced sanctions that potentially stifle the adoption and development of Blockchain.

In order to unpack this disconnect, let’s take a look at what the likes of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey think about the developing technology.

Facebook and Instagram
At the beginning of 2018, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg made some positive comments about cryptocurrencies in a post on Facebook. He focused on the potential benefits they have for businesses like Facebook, as well as the power they hand back to people.

He honed in on an issue that is becoming increasingly talked about – centralization versus decentralization. As CNBC reported, Facebook was in the spotlight for a number of negative issues mainly related to its ad-services and their capabilities.

"There are important counter-trends to this, like encryption and cryptocurrency, that take power from centralized systems and put it back into people's hands. I'm interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how best to use them in our services."

No more than two weeks later, Facebook announced that it would prohibit cryptocurrency related advertising on the platform, which was met with varying reactions from the wider cryptocurrency community.

Fast forward three months and Facebook was embroiled in one of the biggest scandals since its inception. In essence, the platform supplied personal data from over 50 mln users to political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica.

Zuckerberg took to Facebook to admit the company had made ‘mistakes’ while outlining what had led to Cambridge Analytica access to data from Facebook users. He has since taken out adverts in British newspapers to make a public apology, while Facebook has been hit with a swathe of lawsuits.

In an interview with CNN last week, Zuckerberg even suggested that Facebook could benefit from regulation - an issue that is hanging heavily over cryptocurrencies and ICOs this year:

“I’m actually not sure we shouldn’t be regulated. In general, technology is an increasingly important trend in the world and I actually think the question should be ‘what is the right regulation rather than ‘yes or no, should it be regulated.”

“On the basic side, there are things like ads transparency regulation that I would love to see. If you look at how much regulation there is around advertising on TV and in print, it's just not clear why there should be less on the internet, you should have the same level of transparency required.”

Meanwhile one of the primary attributes of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is the ability to encrypt data giving anonymity and privacy to users.

Facebook’s move to ban cryptocurrency related advertising also applied to partner platforms Instagram and its advertising platform Audience Network.

Google, Facebook and Twitter banned cryptocurrency ads mustn't be main reason which made Bitcoin's price goes down $8,000. Many people think that Google, Facebook and Twitter banned cryptocurrency but in fact they only banned "cryptocurrency ads". Why? As far as we saw all good cryptocurrencies don't need to run ads in Google, Facebook or twitter or very little. Scam ICOs, phishing sites need to run ads to attractive investors. I think Google, Facebook or twitter ban cryptocurrency ads is better for the crypto market.

Most likely, such prohibitions occur in the framework of the attack on bitcoins and other crypto currency, which has been going on for about three months. It is unlikely that such prohibitions occur one after another spontaneously and accidentally. However, facebook and google explain their position by combating fraud in these social networks. The fact that all of this is happening basically at the same time is very suspicious, it is very clear that there is an attempt to get the price of bitcoin as low as possible, the price of bitcoin has brought a lot of attention by the media and that is something that the government does not want they do not want the people to think that there is an alternative to their system and so they're suppressing the price of bitcoin.

Firstly, they did not ban cryptocurrency, they banned cryptocurrency adverts and you guys should always know how to put your topic or headline first before misleading people. They cannot ban cryptocurrency apparently, so I do not know what the whole fuss is all about. They all stated it that it is as a result of the whole scam going on in the whole cryptocurrency ICO space which the adverts are being used to deceive a lot of investors, and I do not see anything bad in what they have done.

the price of bitcoin has brought a lot of attention by the media and that is something that the government does not want they do not want the people to think that there is an alternative to their system and so they're suppressing the price of bitcoin.
Very much possible. Government and central banks are opening all the possible ways to dump bitcoin prices I am not sure that they will succeed with their attempts but as of now bitcoin prices are facing lots of pressures due to these kind of things.

Google announced that it will prohibit advertising of crypto currency on all its platforms. The company said that it is updating its advertising policy related to financial services. According to Google, the content they want to ban includes ICO, wallets and advice on trading.
In its news the company made it clear that, although the Crypto currency can be an adequate asset for consumers in the future, now they see evidence that the market has hurt many people. As a result, in order to protect its users, it officially began to prohibit advertising related to the crypto-currency industry as a whole. In a statement, Scott Spencer, director of advertising at Google, told CNBC:
"We do not have a crystal ball to know what the future is for crypto currencies, but we have seen how some crypto currencies have been brought to consumers. This is the very area to which you should promote with extreme caution. "

In some cases it's well justified to blame banks for their actions, but there is no point into putting them in every picture when completely opposite industries force through changes. In this case the legal responsibilities of displaying these ads, and the pressure from multinationals buying ad space on social media sites did it. If banks are really out to make things impossible for people, then they will prevent people from buying crypto through debit cards, which should function as indicator. If banks decide for you what you can spend your money on, you should immediately ditch that bank. I already did so once.

As long as you can get verified and show to them you are legitimate, then you can still run an advert, this is the reason some of them are still on. It is just that a lot of new investors are always fund of picking the headline just as the type OP dropped with Facebook and Google banning cryptocurrency. How on earth will they ban cryptocurrency ? This is a good thing for ICO investors I must say, which at least gives them a rest of mind that any advert they are seeing has been fully verified not to be a scam.

Who said that Google banned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? 👀😳 That’s not true, Google wouldn’t ban cryptocurrency. I have seen some people saying that they did, but that’s a lie, they never banned cryptocurrencies. The only platform I know that did ban cryptocurrency ads was Facebook. As for Twitter, I don’t think they did such a thing. Facebook is the only platform that did. By the way, Google is a little different from all these ones, so I don’t think they would do the same thing as others.

This is why we are yo-yo'ing and smaller gains in the market when there is no real negative news
I do not even know why the OP would have to put the topic like that. These guys are not banning cryptocurrency; they are banning adverts related to cryptocurrency as long as they cannot show the legitimacy of the company and the ICO.

Some ICOs are still running on this platform and it is a way to just try as much as possible to curb out some scam ICOs for the investor’s sake, so I wonder why some people are trying to pick FUD from nothing rather than putting some efforts to find the actual happening. Not a big deal for many people to get alternate platform when we are not comfort in existing along with recent facebook's user's private data stealing problem.

I think their is no relation between this two news of twitter and facebook banning cryptocurrency ads and bitcoin price going down. Social media have stopped ads due to lot of scams are running due to that lot of users have got scammed but if your project is genuine then they are supporting it. Mostly the new ICO ads are banned in social media. Bitcoin price going down is a different story.

What I've read some post, Facebook is banning all ads that promote cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, in an effort to prevent people from advertising what the company is calling “financial products and services frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.”

That means no advertiser — even those that operate legal, legitimate businesses — will be able to promote things like bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, initial coin offerings — ICOs for short — or binary options, according to a Facebook blog post.

Nope. Instead, I'm sure they would love to continue allowing crypto services to advertise on their platform, but the legal aspect and pressure from external sources made them do this.

There is some sort of a global social media cleaning going on due to this. It has not really to do with crypto itself. YouTubers suffer from it as well, where they consider it to be the ad-pocalypse.

Everything people do and say on social media has to be according to certain shitty new policies, which is ridiculous. At some point people will only be able to talk about my little pony and Zack and Cody. :-X

I have friends and he likes joining with bounty campaign with twitter. A few days ago his twitter account was not accessed due to security reasons from twitter. This was I supposed to say on where such prohibitions do come after one another where theres a particular company prohibits cryptocurrency the other one follows up and as you said in just a matter of 3 months we have already heard out big institutions having decisions regarding to this which isn't really a good thing on my part.It might reduce fraud but limiting out exposure isn't really good at all.
the answer is obvious! a large amount of cryptocurrency advertising clogs the Internet and prevents ordinary users from easy and easy use of the Internet + google and facebook are closely connected with the authorities, and this directly affects their decisions about the cryptocurrency!
Clogs the internet and accessibility? Seriously mate?I don't think this is a valid reason.I do rather believe that government do always have an involvement with such decisions been made.
With events like this are very affecting investors because they will feel worried about the incident, and with the development of crypto many who do not like and oppose it, actually what they want. and besides lately a lot of bad news or bad news that makes investors afraid.

The Chinese ban has no practical meaning because the Chinese are trading on many other exchanges, such as bittrex, binance, and the purchasing power is still very strong.

And now we can add Microsoft's Search Engine "Bing" on the list that has banned crypto ads. As for the reasons, they wanted to stop scammers using their platform to spread their illegal activities.

However, I still thinks that its everyone job to really search and do our homework and not just to invest our money on a certain ICO and no amount of banning will stop them from doing so. It might lessen but not totally eradicate and I'm sure that scammers will continue to do their dirty work despite this bans from social media giants.

Haha ignore corporates move against crypto currencies. They are mostly deal with the international money transfer method and USD. They will not allow the blockchain platform to survive in the market. Check why they are creating the own blockchain by Google and why Facebook creating its own crypto currency. I am sure they will come with the centralized mode of operation.

They want to reduce the marketing circulation of ico for scam activities, in fact this is certainly a good thing, but in reality not all ico is a scam, so the steps taken certainly harm crypto unilaterally.

ICOs are pretty much fucked up and being used by scammers to scam people with. Actually it has now became the new ponzi scheme based from what I've been seeing.

There are lots of fraud in the world. It is wonderful to regulate them.I speculate that the reason for regulating cryptocurrency comes from fear.Probably they do not want to disturb growth areas.
What is afraid is that the nation and the power person say that they supported them.As they are not regulated.

I do not see them really want it but have to do it, I can still see cryptocurrency ads on google and Facebook for now ( it might will get terminated soon) .  even facebook says it's desperate to develop blockchain technology. Facebook took this prohibition step to prevent irresponsible people from spreading their financial products and services whose credibility is questionable, too many fraudulent cases started from social media ads such as Facebook , thats why they ban t to protect users. they also say "That We do not have a crystal ball to know where the future will go with cryptocurrency, but we've seen enough potential consumer or potential consumer hazards so that it is an area we want to approach very carefully. The reason is because their companies were being used by the advantage takers who are scammers. And this is why they are trying to ban crypto paid ads, they are not literally banning the whole concept of cryptocurrency but they want to ban the paid ICO ads because of these scams.
Twitter ban is just a rumor and there's no update yet about it.One day, I know those big companies will finally use this kind of technology and who knows they might create their own token so for me don't panic about this news.

Banning cryptocurrency ads is just a mere effort to protect people from fraudulent token sales, ICOs, ponzi schemes and all sorts of manipulated and devious ways to reap the population of their hard earned cash. They just don't want to be a part of it.

Partially it's for that, but I think its because government regulations, if they promote scams and ponzi schemes they will be responsible for that. As I see they ban didn't pass well, many people still advertise crypto on this two social networks.
I believe they will not be able to ban crypto advertising entirely. They are shutting down crypto accounts, but 3 new appears instantly, this crypto fever can't be stopped. We will see what will happen on the future and how will they deal with this problem, the thing is they need to work under the laws of the country where they are registered, their decisions will depends mostly from that.

They do simply don't want to harm people financially since bitcoin could definitely do such right. Also, may be they do have the same reason why the government bans crypto on their society. Else is that they are creating new virtual money on their own beside crypto and they don't want to brainwash their future user that is why they ban it as early as possible they could. Banning it is a really tough decision since advertising could help the market grow up once more.

Hi, I have two versions of what's happening:
1- All the same, if you think about the idea of all social networks is a free communication. But hunters for rewards in the crypto world using the requirements of the bounty campaigns are very much abused (as much as the number of reposts) and this very litter the main threads in the social networks.
2 Which seems more plausible to me is the global world secret of the financial world. These financial kings see that with the departure of finance in the crypto currency they began to lose their profits and declared a cold war against bitcoin and the rest of the tokens.

That tells simply that it is not like adverts are banned totally, but as long as you have an ICO, you can tender documents to show its legitimacy, then you are good to go and this is the reason why you see some adverts of cryptocurrency still displaying. The good thing is that, at least, if you see an advert now, you sure would still be relaxed that it is verified and you can at least be compelled to want to dig further on the project if it is worth investing or not which for me, is a good thing.

Not like they are afraid, a lot of scammers were already using the ad space for fraudulent activities with so many fake ICOs being pushed out there to potential investors, some phishing being done via the advert space and so many more. All these things were already becoming a crazy thing generally for the whole space, and this development actually brought some little bit of sanity into the space as far as I am concerned, except for people who just want to see the negative sides to everything.

Facebook and other social media are not banning crypto and they don't have nothing against it but they are trying to protect the users from so many fraudulent advertising, moving the responsibility out of them. And cryptocurrencies are not any kind of competition to social media, don't know how some have gotten that conclusion.

these two big companies only wants their coin to become popular , in which case they do not allow any adverts aside from their own coins.

Facebook, Google and I think Twitter also are not completely banning cryptocurrency, they have decided to stop the ads of ICO which may be harmful for the audience and personally you also can't blame these companies as due to the recent attraction of people towards Bitcoin many people have started fake ICO's in order to grab and run with people's money. Recently, many ads shown by these platform about ICO failed at market very badly due to which a majority of the investors suffered. The idea of banning ads is taken into practice to safe there costumers from falling into fake Ponzi schemes.

I think they want to launch their own digital currency that’s why they banned cryptocurrency on their sites, but I think they are doing wrong if they want to create their own ICO. If they really think that cryptocurrency is a scam then it is right to ban it on their sites otherwise it is not understandable why they banned cryptocurrency ads on their sites.

Bitcoin continues to be pounded by negative news. Unconfirmed reports about Twitter following the footsteps of Facebook and Google in banning cryptocurrency ads pushed Bitcoin’s price below $8,000 on March 18.
I guess the reason for banning cryptocurrency on Facebook and Google is to avoid Scams, Frauds amd Fake advertisement. They do this to secure their sites and to secure their users from being victimized by scammers. As we can see crypto ads are not fully banned from those sites, because I can still see promotional ads from different ICOs and cryptocurrency.

Actually that's true, facebook has been flooded by negative and fake news and many scammers nowadays are using Facebook and other social media sites to scam people. Maybe that's the reason why they want to ban bitcoin and other cryptocurrency on their site, to stop or to lessen those scammers.

The reason for this is that many people reporting in social media's that they've been scammed by ICO's through advertising in this social media platforms. That's why google and facebook provide some restrictions in their platforms to stop this ponzi scheme. This may affect the price of crypto's in short term but it will be beneficial in the long term.

Facebook and google are in the view that cryptocurrency is a scam and think by banning the advertisements, they will protect their users but they have not realised that the cryptocurrency industry has the potentials to help these users.

Their could be another side of it is that they know its potential but banning means they will introduce their own coin which will be useful and work only in their application or some features if you want to take that you will have t pay through their coin. So this will hep them to make the money from their own coin.

I think they are afraid of BTC that's why they are banning and they want people to get away from crypto currency. Because they are no powerful currency like crypto currency. Other thing is that they would of view that crypto currency is not regularised by govt. agencies, although they are not following all other govt. rules. They only follow those rule which are in their benefit.

also the ban hasn't served much greater good to public neither the ads had any effect on the quality of projects so the news is junk keeping in mind bitcoin's market price & its underlying tech & philosophy.

Mostly because it's so many ICOs and not many of them will actually succeed,  plus it's all full of scam projects that never even intended to develop a project after they take the ICO money. So facebook, google... don't want to be those that guided people to those who would take their money. Sure it's unfair for good projects but their time will come anyway.

I would like to think this way because there are some laws of every country and every state, may be the laws of some places where these sites are located and banning some advertisements is only to avoid legal pressing, they are not banning the entire crypto currency but only scamming website are being ban buy then but it could be just a news as there is no fine explanation has been released from facebook or google till now so just be positive.

Indeed, simply they banned bitcoin because of increasing rate of scam and we know that these sites like facebook and google are just protecting themselves for these malicious doing. We cannot blame them because I think this is right thing to do so we should accept the truth. Moreover, I don't think that is has a direct impact on the fluctuation of bitcoin, maybe on demand perhaps.

I think there is something else like some kindda laws of their sponsors’ and physical location of their companies, banning crypto advertisements to avoid some legal issues but they can just ban bitcoin or crypto advertisement not whole crypto at all, but about your point I guess it is impossible.

Yes they banned cryptocurrencies, but just recently Facebook reversed their ban on cryptocurrencies, so that means you will start seeing adverts on cryptocurrencies and ICOs very soon when you log in on Facebook. I bet they might have set new terms and regulations for companies or organizations that will be advertising ICOs and Cryptocurrencies on Facebook.

But this is really good for the community, cause Facebook is one of the largest social media sites in the world. So it’s very good they started allowing it again. If you doubt what I just said, then you should make some research.

Actually in my opinion they are doing right , Ofcourse Thier decision to ban cryptourrency ads was wrong , because the main reason that why was right decision because these platforms don't want any type of grabage at Thier platform , most of the times when I found any type of the cryptocurrency ads then I saw high risky Investment sites and gambling and ICOs only but I didn't found a good one  except few exchange ads , so in my opinion that was better .
Since few services are better and that are necessary to know by everyone that why now about one week edited Facebook removed his ban of the cryptocurrency ads and they will now allows ads but ICOs and risky and sticky Investment sites are will not be allow at any condition .

Facebook  ban from all types of ads for virtual currency, including Bitcoin and ICO. This is part of a policy against fraudsters.
Facebook's regulations include some examples of these bad ads, such as ads calling for "using a pension fund to buy Bitcoin." Facebook also urged people to report the offending ads, even though it did not specify how many virtual currency ads on the Facebook system were used before the decision was made.

Yeah you are right and this is fact that there are many scams in ICOs and Google and Facebook are credible platform for internet users. Bitcoin continues to be pounded by negative news. Unconfirmed reports about Twitter following the footsteps of Facebook and Google in banning cryptocurrency ads pushed Bitcoin’s price below $8,000 on March 18.
From what I read online they were all banning cryptocurrencies because the rate of scams that are being done with cryptocurrencies were increasing everyday, so they decided to stop it. They said that they might start to allow it again on their platforms but we don’t know when it will be. But whether they ban Bitcoin from hedge these social platforms or not, I don’t see where or how it will affect us.
Many people say that bitcoin is going to create their own crypto, that’s why they have banned crypto ads on its site but I don’t know why Google stop ads on its page. I think they have banned cryptocurrency on their sites because of the scams and it is not good for their visitors. Their credibility will be suspected and Google will not compromise on the credibility and authentication.

For me it is really due to the reputation of crypto world for the moment. Bad reputation by bad advertising, bad using, scammers and all this kind of things. When crypto world will be best known and more secure they will surely change their mind and benefit of cryptos

Actions Facebook and Google demonstrate that the cryptocurrency is becoming a more mature asset class, because the ban on advertising is essentially regulation, the emergence of the rules of the game. Most investors in this area are used to be afraid of regulation, since initially the appeal of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency was based on anonymity - nevertheless regulation in any form in the long term should be considered a positive factor.

We all are aware that most of the scammers are relate to the crypto market and use Facebook google to advertise.
These social media can't believe it, and they don't want to lose anything of anyone.
When the user watches the advertising, he attracts to them. Unfortunately, they believe and invest there all money, but later they got scammed and started blaming Facebook advertising.

Since these social sites care about us and want to work with legal so like other they also banned the bitcoins

Simply because so many crypto ads today are link to a scam activity or a scam ico itself. It's the right and prerogative of these giant tech company to stop all scam related ads that might give stain to their company's reputation. But i think they have lifted already the ban because recently, i always seen crypto ads in my FB's newsfeed.

Not that Facebook is really against Bitcoin, they would like people to learn about those stuffs, but still has to protect their users. They believe that there are lots of ICOs, cryptocurrencies and binary options that are not operating in good faith, so they had ban them.

But now I heard that they will be reversing their ban on cryptocurrencies/ICOs, don’t know if they have done that already, and that’s not coming without a new terms and conditions. So whatever they did, they just did it to protect users.

The social media platforms are trying to protect users from fraudulent companies and scams, which have taken advantage of many through advertising campaigns on social media networks.
That's why the Facebook and Google are banning cryptocurrency.

It's simple they work under centralized rules and regulations so if the government says that you have to stop promoting something that can ruin a lot.

Then you're a noob in the cyber world.

The uplift  of  the  ban  by  face book  will  change  things.  hope  the  effects  will be  felt soon.
I think the reason for banning crypto ads on Google and Facebook is the scam. Scammed coins can mark a negative sign on the credibility of these two big sites. If Google give an ad of a certain coin and it became fake people would think that Google is also a part of such scammed coin. They have decided well and are better for their reputation in the world.

No, that is not the reason they do not care about it, they do not care about their users they just care about the money and this is shown to be true since they are willing to sell your information or to use it for their own benefit, they are doing this because they were ordered to do it, after all they were earning a lot of money with this and no reasonable company likes to lose a legal income stream.

Most of those news turned out to be just rumours.
Crypto ads are still on facebook and other social platforms. The restrictions has been somewhat lessened.
The reason for the skepticism by this social sites is mostly due to the unregulated nature of cryptocurrency.

As for me corporations from GAFA and others see a huge threat from to crypto world, not only in redestribution of money Flow, but in users minds change, change in the rate of their resposobility and control of their right and Private data.

I think concept of Internet Will change soon and projects like Brave browse are the early birds. So corporations are not ready for theese changes and want to stop this revolution. Or May be they are controlled by governments Who are not interested in such changes too)
