Now a day bitcoin is more popular all over the world, several people makes bitcoin as a source of everything either ordinary or riches people. They use bitcoin to help theirselves and others, but if you will be given a chance to have 10 Btc would you think can you give some Btc for those who belongs to indigenous peoples including charities?

Bitcoin's value is fluctuating wildly due to speculation and potential increased regulation and scrutiny. If it is cashed out to fiat or goods at the time of donation, it would make sense. I'm not sure it's well suited for donating to charities otherwise. On the one hand, people would donate coin that would subsequently increase in value, meaning they gave up that increase in opportunity cost. On the other hand, the coin may go down in value, meaning their donation was less than they intended.

Yes I'm willing it is better to give rather than received we can receive more a lot of thing in return when we are helping other people

I'm willing to share my blessings to charity so that I can help them also for their daily needs and use for everything for their life

If I already have too much, I will donate bitcoin to charities as a help. However, there are chances that they don't enough idea to access it so I thi k it is better if I will just convert it into fiat and donate it to them directly. I believe that helping is another way to thank bitcoin for it's profitable investment.

10 BTC is a very large number in my opinion
if I want to do charity, even I dare to give as much as 5 BTC to the poor and talented person

I am keen for helping orphans and charitable institutions,but i see its not practical to give bitcoin to them because for me this coins belongs to this community and not outside of this and what if suddenly dumps happen?meaning my help for them has no value what if they need the funds instantly?i guess what i need to do is convert some btc for fiats and send them the value,wasnt that the best way of helping than thru bitcoin itself

If I have more than 5 bitcoins I'm willing to give some to charity, but we understand that social charity does not have to use bitcoin.

No, but that's not me saying that I wouldn't be willing to give charities money in FIAT currencies. This is probably due to the fact that for me to  get more bitcoin (besides the amount which I have invested as of right now) I would have to pay someone fees to get it. I'd much rather donate to charity with Fiat money which isn't going to cost me anything extra / the charity extra to process.

To do charity does not actually have to wait to have 10 bitcoin, we can start from scratch or from the amount of bitcoin that is not too much in order to get used to.

Yes I will donate but not bitcoin; first I will convert the btc to fiat currency then I will donate.  Before donating I must know that the person whom I am handing over my hard earned money; really needs help.  And the help is needed just for medical treatment, natural calamities, or any other reason where a man is helpless and requires help of others or else he may be fall sick or die for hunger, illness. 
So will try to help the innocent, honest, needy person.

yes of course i will do that .. but i not donate in coin form, to donate i have to exchange to fiat money because bitcoin can not be used as payment instrument in my country ...

When I will have 10btc then I will use it wisely ofcourse sharing some money is a good thing to do but we should carefully used it like make some more bitcoin before doing some charity works. Then after that I can have some bitcoin to spare because sharing makes you more happy when you helps the needy people.

maybe if i have a lot of bitcoin i want to help orphanage orphanage and provide the required facilities can be fulfilled, all of it very interesting for me to charity.
maybe a lot of my bitcoin i do not have but i am still doing charity and keep doing it from bitcoin result which not too much.

Currently just new with bitcoin and if I may have sufficient amount of btc, then why not? I would be honor to help put some money to charities. However, since I haven't yet made a profit probably in the coming years I can share something in return which I could also help the needy where I also believe that by sharing your blessing, you will be able to contribute something to the less fortunate people that really needs help.

It is a good deed to give some BTC for charity. Some of my friends you have extra btc in their wallet always do that donating some of their extra btc for the benefit of the Special Students in the school of my child who is also a Special Child.

by turning bitcoin into money to donate to people in need, I think it's a good move because we can directly deliver it, and help is right on the needy by ourselves. so that we can be proud, can help each other to the needy.

I don't want to be fake in here so to tell you the truth... There's no chance am I going to give my Bitcoins to indigenous people as well as to the charity. Why?

First of all why would I give a complicated currency to the indigenous people? What are they going to do with Bitcoin where you can only see it through gadgets and internet that they can't understand and just like with the charity we all know that bitcoin is known worldwide but not as the fiats so most of the charity doesn't heard about this cryptocurrency.

So if you're going to ask me again i will say no. But I will help them by converting them into fiats and help them not by giving money but by giving what they need such as food, construction materials, clothes, etc.

I am very willing to give some of my Bitcoin to those in need, because charity is a very noble act of worship. we will not lose our Bitcoin just because we give it to others, but we will get it more than we gave it. in addition we can also make other people happy, and can slightly reduce the burden of life of others with Bitcoin we give earlier.

If the NGO or the organization where I need to donate do accepts the btc or any other coin , it is a good way to donate the crypto currency as well. It can be transferred to anywhere in the world and help the people and the cause for which they are supporting.

Bitcoin can go into charity, that's good. It is even better for the BTC to do charity work to help the poor and have a better life. That's the thing to do. We should set up a bitcoin fund to support the poor.

I am willing to give donation in the chqrity but not the bitcoin. Becayse we don't know if the admin that contrrolled in the one charity is a good person. We don't know if the money we donate is reduced by them,. I'd rather donate an food or clothes on them to make it sure that they don't do anything about that things and make sure that this things will reach it.

For me, I will give some of my bitcoin not only to charities but also to the person who are really needed like orphanages, the victims of calamities and other organizations that help the needed. Honestly, it would be a pleasure for me to be able to give something to those who are in need. Just in case that my bitcoin is already grown and I have a lot to give I will no think twice to donate some of it because I know what is it to have nothing. Charity is a big help to those who are in need and by giving funds with the help of my bitcoin it could meanbe so much to them.

Yes I am if I have, but I will priority first my family because I am not a wealthy person my profit earnings from bitcoin as of now is only exact for my daily needs and I hope someday after several years I hope our lives has changed into a good living because of BITCOIN that's the main ambition of all people. but if ever this gonna be happen how could we give a Donation to charity? because as of now 2018 no charity organization here  accepted donation from private sector.

A lot of charities are shady and the people who run them use the donations to line their own pockets and leave tiny amounts for the cause they are 'fighting' for. With Bitcoin being 'anonymous' it's even more likely to be misused if it goes to the wrong people. If I were to donate Bitcoins I would send to the people in need directly and not to a charity organization.

Nope, i wont give bitcoin to charities however I will exchange that bitcoin to Fiat then ill donate it, because charity institutions need Actual money not the digital one. So i think that would do it.

I always give some of my Bitcoin to a foundation, I am happy to share my luck with the less fortunate people, like war victims, disabled and elderly.

In my current situarion, maybe I cannot do that. I have so many expenses and drowning in debt today. Maybe if there is an excess in that 10 btc, i'll give it to charity. What I am thinking is that 10 btc will go first to our house, investment, insurance and for the security of my family, I cannot risk those things.

if i given about 10 btc,i would give it 2 btc to charity or someone who needed money most...but now i still cant earn a lot from bitcoin or altcoins...i hope i still can remember and do this when i got more than enough money

No I would not want to make something as good as charity with a decentralized payment network. I would still prefer to use the traditional money to pay those charities and those poor people so that the money reaches the right hand. This way you never know that some corrupt person might misuse the money since it can't be tracked.

Same here I would definitely help those in need but I will help them with the money i earned in bitcoin. It maybe small but it will help them alot.

Why not?? Sharing is a form of appreciation of the blessing we do receive as an investors of bitcoin.. As it is open source and freely used thanks to Satoshi Nakamoto.. And the only way to give back to the community is through charity work and donations..

I think that if I had such happiness in the amount of 10 BTC, I would share with the poor people. As they say, happiness must be shared.

Practically, I was already giving on charity even I have no bitcoin before, how come if I earned a lot of bitcoin, because giving bitcoin or money into charity are a simple way of sharing a blessings.

Yes I am willing to give some amount of bitcoin in charity but to those who are poor and without family like in orphanage or home for the aged. But aside from donation I will teach them how to earn bitcoin also specially in orphanage because I dont want that they only asking always help from other people I want to teach them on how earn bitcoin on their own. I believe that they can also. And I believe that when you are helping other people like donating in charity God will give you a reward. And it is better to give than to receive.

I don't know charitable institutions who accept btc. I think it is very hard for them. If i become rich in bitcoin i would personally help to charities with money. My dream is let all less fortunate children to go to school for there future.

Yes of course, but only to the projects that are worth giving, I am willing to if I have the means by the way. There are less fortunate in the world and needs attention. It's one of the best way to send through Bitcoins, you are secured i terms of anonymity, as most people that gives are Billionaires and therefore prone to abduction.

I think it is just fine to donate bitcoins to charity because it signifies that bitcoin's versatility. But it is fine as long as the charity intends to cash-out the coins they received immediately since as we all know, bitcoin's value is fluctuating like crazy and this might alter the value hugely.

yes. i'd be interested to know what the charity did with it, whether they instantly converted or chose to sit on it for a while.

i do find bitcoin for the sake of it a little pathetic though. what do i mean by this? people only wanting to give bitcoin and weirdly pressuring places to accept it and only using places they would otherwise never just because they take bitcoin. that goes for charities too. that sean's outpost place or whatever it was called did extremely well out of that.

Yes I will. But I will convert those bitcoins in fiat first before giving it to others because probably they live in a country in which bitcoin is not legal.

Bitcoin already has a certain monetary value, so yes it can be given to charity at anytime. The question boils down to how much in BTC or Fiat you are willing to donate. If you are a firm believer of the coin and it's potential future, you can donate a little amount now, and ask the charity to wait for it to grow in a couple of years time. However, if the charity needs it right away, I guess you just have to match what the fiat value you are willing to donate or they are asking for. All in all, it can be used.

Yes, I am because I am poor too. I am very willing to help and donate in any charity but as of now I don't have btc maybe if I will be rich and have million through bounty campaigns. Helping other is a lucky charm for yourself because you know how to give and that is a big check to God. Hopefully if I can earn will do like others did.

Ofcourse I will!If God giving me a chance to help a charity then go,why not.because for me it is a blessing and do share to others eventhough it is a little or big.doing good to others for me is the best way if you want to continue the blessing and achieve the things that you wanted to...its up to us how much do you wanted to give,the important is...it is truely comes from our hearts desires.if thats happens,no value it counts and I believe that through kindness,God will bring it back to us.

If I have more than enough, why not give some right ? The fact that bitcoins is volatile, I think some people are thinking not to give because it may have higher values in the future and would rather wait.
As for me, I don't have any problems against charities as long as they are legit and truly for the good of others. I would give maybe for children abandoned or even the elders in a nursing home.
I believe that children abandoned can bring good if they just feel that they are loved and caring for the elders is just a thank you for their own sacrifices.

I really want to do charity if i have 20 bitcoins, and then i will donate at least 5 bitcoin to the people in need, but i will donate them in fiat instead of bitcoin.
Although currently i do not have a lot of bitcoin, but i am very happy to do charity, because every time i get a salary from the results follow the signature campaign, i always donate some and the rest i save.
Charity is something noble, so whenever i get sustenance from bitcoin, then i will surely donate it to all those whose economic life is weak.

What I said isn't about coercion or control at all. Even if you like a charity, but they don't take bitcoins, it's irrational to liquidate any bitcoins to donate to them. You could HODL and donate so much more later

I have local grup that usually donate to charity or homeless and guess what ? Bitcoin become the new alternate currency that being accept.
With bitcoin , for somehow , it's change their nature and usually it's bring more fortune especially when bitcoin experience uptrend for example on last 2017.

If i have more btc then why not, its up to the charity if they will going to accept it or not. I really loved giving things to other and i like to share all the blessings that i have to anyone who needed it.
But i would still prefer to give them cash, so that they can use it easily. And theres anything to worry about even if the price of btc drops.

Even though i have just 5 bitcoin i will make sure it touches lives, put smiles on people's faces. Mind you i will not give to those who already know how to invest and trade etc. Rather i will use the bitcoin i have as a means of proof to convince the ignorants into crypto world and also give them too, as a place to start from.

That is always feel very good that if you have a lot of money and you can afford to help the poor people, either through NGOs or by yourself in your local area, i think there is nothing wrong if you are donating some of your bitcoin to charity centers, who use it for the betterment of the poor peoples and help the needy people.

Unless the charity organization is familiar with the crypto world,  Instead of giving the organization crytpo in which they no nothing about,  why not dump the coin you want to give away for fiat money and give to the organization in courtesy of bitcoin.  Then you can tell them about bitcoin and why they need to start accepting bitcoin in as means of receiving donations in their organization.

I will not. I would rather encash my Bitcoin before I give the same to a charity than give Bitcoin directly as it is. In our country, giving to charities has become a taboo because of so many politicians who do the same to workaround the anti-money laundering laws of the country. They even go over and beyond by making their own charities and donating to the same as primary beneficiaries which is by the way illegal. Hence, instead of being appreciated for your generosity, you are leading quite an illegitimate cause should you donate to charity, especially so that Bitcoin is not adapted well in our jurisdiction. Just so we could avoid issues of the same kind, it is best to just do the traditional which is donating using fiat. And always make sure you are backed up by legitimate business or any other means of earning should you be questioned later on where you got the money you donated from.

Helping out the needy and the poor is always good, but at the same time, one would still have to do it in such a way that would make sense and I feel giving out bitcoin directly for charity purpose, will really not make much sense. If you are giving for charity purposes, it is so they can easily make use of it to feel some need or gap in their life, rather than trying to complicate things for them the more, most especially when the market is hugely volatile.

I would rather convert to fiat and give out for charity while I keep doing my own thing. I am sure giving charity in bitcoin to an organization that would not be able to make use of it immediately or even understand what you are giving, would not value it.

All the above, if I have 10BTC and I am converting some to fiat for the purpose of charity, why not ? As long as I have become what I am today as a result of holding, I should be able to give back more to the community which is what I believe anyone should always consider doing and not just holding shitload of it.

BTC can be used for anything. for good one like charity include too.
rich peoples who wants to do charity and stay anonymous can buy bitcoin and donate it to the peoples who in need.

If I have a huge amount of bitcoin or even if I own a little of btc and there is a charity nearby in our area that accepts bitcoin then I am willing to share some of my btc to them. If it is just posted online I will never give since I want to make sure that those charity are legit and not just a facade of a scamming entity. So to be sure if a charity near our location will be willing to accepts bitcoin then I am willing to give.

Why not. if that action would save lives or children i would be more than willing to give BTC in charity. The giving or not giving of bitcoin depends on purpose of life and where your happiness falls. The idea of good samaritan still exists specially in times of need.

Yes of course, I will do share my blessings to a charity institution. My blessings to bitcoin earnings I will give it to those who are in need. It is very good to share our blessings to anyone or to those who are really in need because God will multiply His blessings for us. This is what I believe.

Sharing your money with indigenous people is a very good benefaction either by crypto or fiat. You can look for both if you are Bitcoin holder then you can donate with Bitcoin but to those charities which buy products and do shopping for those indigenous and deserving people because the deserving and poor people can not understand how to use cryptocurrency as they do not have learned about it before. However charity with Bitcoin and fiat both are good.

I agree with you that in order to sacrifice your bitcoin, it is better to go to Fiat and thus give money to charity. When I have enough money in bitcoin and altcoin, so that my family and I will have enough for a decent life, then I will be happy to engage in charity.

about your asset like bitcoin, or money, or your stuff that never wear again, you must ready or willing if you give to someone or some foundation. but for me, its better if you give in money or good, or something that they need. not in bitcoin, im not sure they can use it.

I think we must do helping to charity, because bitcoin is considered as a blessing from up above, and if we have many bitcoin we don't really need to save it for a long time or maybe forever because we can all die anytime anywhere. I think we must share our blessing for good, to everyone who needs help and maybe givingvto a charity is a good way of sharing.

There are charities that accept Bitcoin as far as I know. Traxion is one of the ongoing ICOs that I know that will be developing their own charity with the aid of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Hopefully these types of campaigns put poverty to an end.

Yes! I will use it to help others. It is nice to feel to help others. Now I am not rich but I am helping  others in a little way. When I become rich tomorrow I prayed that my good heart will not be change . Because I notice some people change when they are rich. God bless everyone.

If you obtained a lot from BTC without investing too much. then that is the right time to do something good to  yourself and to others. Helping a charity with a use of BTC is a great thing to do. You will help many children or citizens with that.

Bitcoin is really a blessing from our God and it is really helpful for my personal and also families needs so if have given the chance to have 10 bitcoin then of course I will share this two those people belong to indeginous people. Why not, if it will help them. But the question is, do these indigenous people will know how to use bitcoin or cryptocurrency. It will be useless to give them something that they do not know how to use. It is better to give them something they can use. For charitable organizations, if they accept bitcoin or crypto for donations, I am willing to part from my bitcoins.

No, not because I don't want it, not because I am too selfish but because I think that is above on what they really need. Charity needs food, cloth, and even shelter not btc. Yes btc can improved their lives but I don't think people inside in a charity are good in using gadgets and even online business site. Instead of btc try to give them food, clothing and things they will use for daily lives.

I don't trust some charity organisations, especially when you send them a digital currency, it will be hard to know if they spent that money for good reasons.

Honestly I cant Give all that 10BTC to Charity, Knowing that I too and then my Family needs it for our financial needs in the coming years. Then again, 10BTC is a lot of coins, HAving 1BTC at their domain may compensate the needs of childrens or those who have illnesses in those charity Homes. Yes, if given a chance to earn more btc i am very much willing to donate part of it to a charity. It is better to give than to receive, if we have much more than what we need lets try to help those who are in hardships. Well the willingness and intention is always there. But i'd probably think twice about giving crypto or bitcoin since it would be more beneficial and time saving if it give them what they actually need instead.

Actually problem is bitcoins aren’t that much available at every point. Like in this charity work, those organizations mainly focus on the welfare points rather being involved in technical sides. So they generally don’t give any importance to cyrtocurrencies. Thus, it is quite better to hold now and when prices will be higher enough, sell all what you have, that would be count to so big money for charity.

Why not, but i wont be donating digital currency because the value of bitcoin is constantly changing all the time. It might be high today but the value could drop at any moment, its not permanent.. We all know that and if i were to donate my bitcoin through some charity of course i would first exchange my btc to fiat money before giving it away.

If my state will approve or implement the btc yes I probably give some money to a charity to help some , to share some blessings I think 2 to 4 btc I guess. Or I will build a charity what so called BH or bitcoinhelps something like that and I will conduct an feeding program. I know it's too much but seeing them smile it's all worth it. for me whatever i get, i will always set aside some money to give back to the crypto world and the physical society as well.

Maybe you are just fortunate enough or have lots of money because you are willing to give some of your cash to the poor especially in a charity. i wish that i can become just like you , that is why im still working hard everyday so that someday if i would ever become a billionaire , i can also do the same thing just like you did. It depends on the price of our Bitcoin, if we are talking about 10 Bitcoins now maybe I will not donate it because of the low price but if it becomes $20,000 again like before, there is no doubt I will donate 1 Bitcoin to the charity.

I'm very skeptical about charity. It's not because I'm greedy. This is because to feed the bums at the expense of donations is a bad idea. If at the expense of charitable contributions enterprises on which poor people worked were built, I would not be against it. We need to change the concept of charity. Then it will be a real struggle against poverty. Now I see only profanation.

No, I wouldn't give any amoubt of bitcoin to them. It is not because of selfishness but because I want them to stand on their own. Maybe I can teach them on how to get some btc so that they will work for their own. And I think btc is not what they really need but instead food and clothing and things that may use them for daily.

Yes of course because loving is caring but the only thing is that we are unsure if it really is distirbited in the right hands. It too hard to trust now but I know that there are still people that can be trusted most especially in dealing with such services. Here in my country we have local telegram group and we help each other there most especially when one our groupmates house was burned we contributed any amount but the sad thing is that I may not be able to help since me and my family needs money but I can still help her with small amount I am just waiting for a timing. For me helping street children and homeless people on streets will be worth it since they really need our help. If I were given a chance to have 10 Bitcoins myself I will surely help these people because I believe on a saying "It is better to give than to receive."

I am willing to give my bitcoins up to 10% of my overall bitcoins to the charity because it is best to help people who are in need rather than to be selfish and just keep our bitcoins for ourselves bitcoin is a very expensive thing so it will give a lot of money to the charity so they can also enjoy the blessings that we are enjoying these days.

Here's the thing, if you are really going to give that kind of percentage, then you should have done it before this thread was created. We are all here for one goal and that's to be rich by putting all of our investment into Bitcoin. I don't have anything against these kind of charity stuffs but BTC wasn't meant to be in it. Well why not; however, the better question and consideration here is if the person or entity you would be giving it to would know how to utilize Bitcoin to get something of value of it to help them with their needs. Therefore, instead of giving it out as is, it would be a better thing to encash it and give the cash to a charity that you want to help. That way, you save them the trouble of searching for ways to use it, because currently, cash is move openly accepted and is more useful that handing Bitcoins to them.

Bitcoin's value is uncertain so it is hard to be donated in a charity because you will never know if it will help or not. Yeah, being here is a blessing and being blessed for being a part of this community, one should always consider giving back to the society. Firstly, even before now, I have always loved giving to those who are in need, and always visited orphanage homes to donate as much as I can, and if I have up to 10btc, I can definitely part away with some of it and use it for charity purpose.

Really a good amount to be able to part away with some of it for charity. Apparently, giving out in form of BTC will not make any tangible sense as you may even end up not even attaining the essence for which you decided to give those funds for charity anyway. Also, I have known people who have tried that out and they ended up having little success.

Best is to just convert to fiat, which you can still try to associate in a way with bitcoin to create awareness, but at the end, what matters is blessing the needy.

Yes I would give bitcoins to charity if I trusted the charity and knew that the bitcoins were being used for its intended purposes and not being funneled into another wallet as it is impossible to track. Of course I would give some to charity but in cash not in bitcoin because it is useless if I give bitcoin rather than cash due to its price volatility and very unpredictable so theres a possibility that they will lose the donation that you gave them. I don't know if its mentioned here already I didn't back read but there's a site called http://bitcoinforcharity.com/bitcoin-charity-list and you will see different charities with a short description on what they are supporting, the website and a Bitcoin address where to send funds. There's around 12 of them in the list. What caught my attention is the save the children charity but it no Bitcoin address provided. If its for a good cause why not. I would rather help someone than be the one who needs help.

If they cannot keep it in a btc wallet , then I will convert it into fiat money and give it to them . Then the other btc remaining I will save it for my family and for myself also . You have to help that can be any currency either dollar or Bitcoin. All you need is give contribute to the community that can be in the form of any currency. If you even do not have any currency you can work voluntarily in a charity by doing help to contribute your services. You should donate 10 cents or even 5 cents but do it in a week. I think this would be burden for most charities, as now they've be forced to hold an asset with wildly fluctuating values, and now they've been made into a bit of speculator in a fairly (by most standards) complicated market. Moreover, they'd have to report on a donation like this, which could also be fairly complicated. Honestly its better to just exchange bitcoin into fiat then get to charity if that's what you're trying to do.

Charity is one of the best thing to do and that it can surely help you in making your life much more comfortable as well but you need to be very much careful whole giving away anything in things like that. If you have large number of crypto coins, then giving some of those crypto coins in charity is not a big deal. Otherwise, you can also go for giving some money in the form of charity.

This is good thinking to help others. Actually we have to learn how to read the mind of other people and extract out the emotions and needs that are hidden behind sad faces. These people need our help because they are down and we are somehow up. It is a great idea to use Bitcoin as excellent support for the charity. We can sit at home and still be able to support charities around the world, and we do not need to send money through international banks to help charity organizations.

If I had 10 btc and bitcoins price is high, yes without a doubt and I already had that in mind too. I would love to give back something to those people who are less fortunate than us.
