Title: DO NOT get fooled by ice-dice
Post by: moderate on November 14, 2013, 11:50:18 PM
The ice-dice guys keep spamming new threads that seem to offer 0.005 BTC.

The truth is that you will never be able to withdraw that as you have to wager 300 times that amount before being allowed to withdrawal. The rules are never clearly specified, they are just hoping that you visit their site. The latest topic is self-moderated, guess why ?

DO NOT contribute to this site in form of visits and deposits.

We are giving you free 0.005BTC. You guys are welcome to not to take our free coins and play with your own money. But if you play with our money, then we will have restrictions to keep fraudsters away.

Just. Stop. Lying. You are not giving anything, you are just luring people to your site.

I'll address this in a few points:

1. We aren't spamming from what I understand. We made a new thread that was set to self-moderation so we could more deal with trolls.

2.
Quote
threads that seem to offer 0.005 BTC.
-- We are offering free bitcoin.

3.
Quote
will never be able to withdraw
-- Yes you can

4.
Quote
The rules are never clearly specified
-- Alright. You got us there. We will work on fixing this.

5.
Quote
they are just hoping that you visit their site.
-- In a way, yes. That's why we are running a giveaway...to promote our site.

6.
Quote
DO NOT contribute to this site in form of visits and deposits.
-- That's up to you. If you feel that we are not trustworthy, then you do not need to play here. Never give a site you don't trust your money.

I do apologize for it not being clearly specified. We are giving you a free .005 BTC to start with in your account so you can play with our site and give it a try before risking your own money. Honestly, what would be the point of just giving you Bitcoin? I love giving away bitcoins. I help run the reddit BitcoinTip bot. But we are a business. We are trying to promote our site and give users a chance to try us without risking anything but 5 minutes of their time.

I honestly do not understand how someone could even think we were just giving bitcoins "for lulz".

I will work with David on changing the promo pages so it is more clearly outlined. I'm sorry if we have hurt any of our users, and I am sorry if someone feels like we have cheated them or lied to them. That is not what we are doing or trying to do.

I am sorry. Honest, I am.

I am sorry. Honest, I am.

Idiot, you are. You are not offering anything, you are barely a sock puppet from the ice guy.

If you are really really giving bitcoins, and anyone has ever withdrawn that, I'm sure someone can post that transaction here ?

If you are really really giving bitcoins, I'm sure you can post all the 0.005 transactions. Where are they ? Obviously adding a 0.005 to a fake off the chain account is not giving bitcoins, it's just promoting your incoming scam to collect a larger amounts of bitcoins.

I addressed many points in my "idiotic text"

We are starting your account with .005 BTC in it so you can give the site a go for free. We are not giving you Bitcoin to just use however you see fit. We are giving you bitcoin to use on our site, so you do not have to risk anything. The point is not to withdraw it, the point is for you ti use it on our site. If you lose it, you haven't lost anything.

I am sorry if we somehow mislead you into thinking that we would just hand away Bitcoin for nothing.

So you just contradicted what you said earlier ? Good to know I'm even more right to create to this topic, will make sure to create in other sections when appropriated.

So by losing it I lose nothing, does that also mean the 0.005 you add to the account come from nowhere ? I don't expect you to either understand or honestly answer this, btw.

The .005 BTC came from our bankroll and is set into your account. If you lose, it returns to the bankroll from whence it came. If you win, you draw more from it.

Well I'm sorry you believe we are lying. I do hope you'll give us another try one day!

Our site is provably fair, we have no way to make our players lose. In fact, players have been winning quite a bit lately as our site profit had been shrinking.

Does ice dice offer automatic withdrawal on this giveaway or after the 300 times rollover is achieved the withdrawal is still subject for approval?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't giveways intended so people can check out a website. You get .005 BTC so you can use the site a few times, test out it's features etc. Giveaways aren't there to give people free money. In that case they could just send .005 BTC to your bitcoin address and go bankrupt in 3 days.

That's why you limit the amount of giveways you do, please check any actual giveway to see how it is done. There is nothing being given here.

Ice-dice itself is doing two giveaways, which are the same thing really. 1 is for Twitter users and one is for Bitcointalk users. I personally have also done a very small giveaway once before.

I personally have also done a very small giveaway once before.

ice-dice.com owes me and you personally owe me..& i for one am sick of the outright bull$hit coming from you clowns!  :P

Just wow.

You guys are seriously complaining that you can't withdraw .005 btc that is handed away for free for site testing?  You selfish little infants.

The reason behind the giveaway is obvious.  In Bitcoin land, you don't just carelessly deposit money into every new site that pops up.  Doing so is asking to get scammed sooner or later. So, they take the risk away from you by depositing a small amount of btc into your account so you can test the site to make sure nothing funny is going on.   Once you see the site is working okay, you'll feel more comfortable about depositing your own money.

Thanks for making some sense! Exactly what I was saying. The only thing they might concider is the 1.5 BTC withdraw limit.

There is no withdraw limit. We require you to wager 1.5 BTC before you can withdraw the coins we gave you for free. Seeing as the price has really jumped lately, this number may go down soon.

Missed the point entirely. The complaint is about running promotions without mentioning the requirements, which have been noted long ago. This site keeps repeating the same mistake, I can only guess it is intentionally. You should also read some of the earlier replies here to notice that this causes another issue: the person not being able to legitimate withdraw his funds due to use of this fake promotion.

ice-dice is just luring naïve people, nothing more (let's hope that) nothing less.

We now have it plastered on our fourm posts. I'm sorry that you were "misled" by assuming you would get something for nothing. That really isn't our fault...but nonetheless we are showing the requirements now even moreso.

As for luring people in..I mean this is marketing..You know that right?

As for intentional deposits not being able to be withdrawn because of the promo, just send us an email containing the txid of your deposit and what you want to withdraw, and we will do it manually.

Well in a sense, we are giving them something for nothing anyways!

Yes, we do want them to bring money, we are a business. A good way to give people trust is giving them free bitcoins to use on our site so they do not have to risk anything.

I'm not going to lie, our wording was poor and we should have been more clear, and we are fixing that still.

I read the entire thread post by post before I commented.  I agree that the requirements for withdrawal should have been stated more clearly, but this should be an irrelevant concern if you're only talking about the .005 btc (it would be different if, for example, the giveaway was contingent upon you depositing your own money first and then finding out that you can't withdraw the money you deposited).  But, the giveaway is not contingent upon this and so I disagree with your position.

And if by luring naive people, I guess you're including yourself?  How naive do you have to be to not know that a giveaway is supposed to lure people into visiting and testing the site?

Edit: the only reason I've used Satoshi Circle is because they had a giveaway.  It worked.

Nothing being given here, indeed. I wouldn't complain IF they actually told you the truth. What they are doing is wasting people's time without them knowing beforehand. I don't think I'll go as far as leaving them negative trust unless they keep doing it constantly.
EDIT: Ok, they finally did put it up. Seems like fair game now.

This is stupid.  0.005 btc is being given to an account that you create.  Hence, it's a giveaway.  Just be because you can't withdraw until you bet 1.5 btc doesn't make it not a giveaway.  If you deposited and bet 1.5 of your own btc, you can then withdraw the .005.

I don't think you'd be upset if they gave you 1.49 btc but you couldn't withdraw it unless you bet 1.5 btc.  You would deposit .01 btc, make a bet, then withdraw everything.

These guys are really upset because before when the limit used to be lower, they would buy(maybe they already had) robot of twitter accounts and redeem this offer over and over again, then about 1 in 10 accounts they would be able to reach the limit and cash out about 0.1BTC. We paid out about 1.4BTC to these fake account holders before realizing its the same 2 people scamming us for money. Now the we increased the limit to 1.5BTC wager so it's harder for them to scam us money so they are now complaining and talking crap about us.

Just wow.

You guys are seriously complaining that you can't withdraw .005 btc that is handed away for free for site testing?  You selfish little infants.

And if by luring naive people, I guess you're including yourself?  How naive do you have to be to not know that a giveaway is supposed to lure people into visiting and testing the site?

Edit: the only reason I've used Satoshi Circle is because they had a giveaway.  It worked.

I'm not included in that because I never subscribed to any ice-dice promotion, you are free to ahead and try to look for it. I'm just doing this because I'm tired of seeing this same crap over and over.

Are you really comparing the Satoshi Circle giveaway to this one ? Satoshi Circle is completely honest and actually did have a giveaway.

There is nothing being given here.

Well obviously even if you were the scammer, you won't admit it. Other people even said it's no big deal but you are making a big deal out of it so the likely hood of you being one of those scammer is high. Since you have an incentive for us to lower our limit therefore allowing you to scam us for money. The haightst guy I was able to catch him because before we added the IP block, we found many accounts linked to his IP address.

When you operate a business that offers a service, you need people using that service!  What good would it do for the business to just give out free money to people who will never use its service?  The idea is to allow you to test the site.  That's it.  You're not supposed to make a killing off a giveaway like this.  This isn't a faucet; we have those already, and it's a terrible business model.  This giveaway let's you play for free to test the site, after which you are supposed to say, "Wow! That was Fun!" And then you deposit your own money to have more fun.

haightst admitted to me he is also ASICSRUS, who is a known troll from before that scammed us money. It is likely haightst and moderate is the same person as well. And they are very likely to be the guys who scammed me out of 1.4BTC with their fake twitter accounts, since our withdraw limit means they can no longer scam us more coins, and now he is upset.

Need to gamble 1.5 BTC to be able to widraw 0.005 is a nice joke.

I give a try to this promo but i lost like always on dice.

This is just marketing, if you think is a chance to get free money, that will not happen. Because wager 300 times that 0.005 is with the intention to dont give the free money, lol.

Nice promo, but i feel cheated too with it.

No the new free bonus promotion is 0.0005 not 0.005 btc and you can withdraw by wagering 0.075 btc.

Cmon, luckybit give lottos on the chat, just for chat you can win from 0.0001 to 0.009 btc... Some sites give money to his bettor, other give a small bank roll that you need to do a miracle to withdraw.

Yes, 300X wager requirement is a tad high. 10X is reasonable. And it is run away with ppl's funds, it turns out to be a scam site, unfortunately. :-[

I had no idea they ran away, I just checked and it says site is down for server maintenance, did you had any money there?

I thought the rollover requirement was a bit excessive.  Really surprised to hear that they shut down.  I really liked how you could set the exact range of winning numbers for your roll, not just high or low on their site.

Sympathies to anyone who may have lost coins.

-- snipped all the idiotic text, nothing addressed --

You sir, are the idiot.

OBVIOUSLY the goal of ANY giveaway is to increase traffic to a site.  WHY THE HELL WOULD HE JUST GIVE YOU FREE BITCOINS?

Go get a job.  Its pretty LOL that you are complaining that he gives you a little btc to play FOR FREE on his site, with the chance that you might get ti cash some out.  HOW DARE HE PROMOTE HIS SITE AND BASICALLY GIVE YOU A FREEROLL ON HIS SITE!!!!!  OMG, the HUMANITY!

In actuality, Ice Dice is probably GLAD to not have you there, since it is really obvious tht you would only be interested in taking the BTC, never to return or play.  Have you ever gotten a free slot play from a casino in the real world?  They give you money also.....and guess what?  They require a play through also.  OMG THE REAL CASINOS ARE SCAMMERS TOO!

Get a life.  Get a job.  And get the fuck out.

I just saw that they were a scam site......so that sucks.

However, my previous comment holds true.  Don't expect something for nothing, in life.

maybe people stopped playing there so they decided to get at least a little profit by stealing the money :D not saying that it was a good idea though
