Since i cant speed up friedcat and after your payment you already own the shares i would pay the divs that appear at this time. But for the price of the shares i cant give divs before the shares changed owner by payment. Will there be extensions of time at end of auction or no? I dont plan extensions. You speak about extensions of the kind that a bid at the end will move the end of auction 1 hour forward? I should have thought about this before creating the auction. I would like to send the list of new owners to friedcat as soon as possible so that no one has to wait and friedcat doesnt have double the work. Dividends that i get from friedcat after shares are sold and paid are sent to the new owner if friedcat not already changed the owner. If the new owner didnt already pay when the divs come then the div wont be sent to the new owner. Normally you can say that the shareprice resembles 4 times the yearly income you get per dividends. For example if a shares is 1BTC worth then the price is at this because the dividends for one year is 0.25BTC. So 25% return per year. I await that the next div, maybe the next two divs are a bit nicer since friedcat sold lately a couple thousand of its Asicminer Cube Miners. Of course that doesnt say anything about the future development. Thats up to the abilities of friedcat (Asicminer CEO). But considering the efforts of Friedcat, Asicminer may will be back again in the Spring of 2014. But one thing is sure, BTC stock is a high risk investment considering the BTC prices skyrocketing and fierce competition. The other thing is that this here are direct shares. You have a contract with friedcat directly. The shares on exchanges are Passthroughshares only. You have a contract with the owner of the shares and this owner has a contract with friedcat. If the owner defaults you have a problem. Or you can get problems like with G.ASICMINER-PT where you dont get dividends now because the owner of the real shares cant access his wallet. With direct shares you are the direct owner. So technically, yes it is a rule, because the seller gets to the make up the rules of his own auction. And yes the guy that pulled out did simply "change his mind", he decided to ignore his binding bid here and buy elsewhere. But when it comes to canceling auction bids, this always re-activate older bids and good faith buyers might find out in the end that they would have to buy more shares than they ever planned. What should they do, cancel some of their bids too?! Who is keeping track of all the mess? It would take weeks to sort this out and get firm confirmations from all buyers... If that would be true then anyone only would place a bid for 1 share at 0.32, 0.33,0.34,0.35 and 100 shares at 2btc. At the end he can be sure that the lowest bid is somewhere in the range he bid on 0.32-0.35 and with the 2btc he ensured that he gets 100 shares for the lowest price. I never saw an auction here on the forum that worked this way nor do i know that sothebys would lower bids until 1 Euro above the previous bid at the end. You saw the bid status all the time too. So i wonder why you now await to get a discount because lower bids won too. I stated bids are binding and you gave your bid. If there were such rules that the winning bidders only pay the lowest winning bid until overbidden i would have stated this. I myself am not a 3 coin rating yet though I have been a member of this forum for 8 months now and involved with bitcoin trades every day for a while longer than that. Maybe it's a language barrier. In your example the bidder would not get to buy items at a price below somebody else's bid and I'm not asking that either. In any auction I can call an auction house and leave a maximum bid with them. When the auction occurs the auctioneer bids for me at the proper bid increments until either someone overbids me or I win but at no time does the price magically jump to my highest bid if there isn't a bidder that bid one increment below me. This sounds more like an absentee bid. But thats something special that isnt used in any other auction. I dont know what happened and why friedcat now is sending multiple transactions. Maybe he dont add shares anymore to an existing address but creates a new entry with the same address and adds the shares there.
