There was one Chinese investor who is now trending after he bought 10k bitcoin during the Q1 bear or during the bearish movement at the first quarter of the year. According to the article he was Cai Wensheng the founder of a selfie-app called Meitu which is very popular in China. This man is a good sign that bitcoin really is becoming more attractive to big enterpreneurs across the globe.

Chinese government is encouraging investments in gold and silver since year 2012. Looks like Bitcoin is going to $6,000 after all the bans worldwide.

This person is a Chinese and he is from CHina. Though the Chinese government is not allowing the use of cryptocurrency and ICO in China but the market have not slowed down. According also to the article I cited the exchanges have relocated around countries surrounding China and trading still occured through OTC trades.

Yep! Bitcoin is now getting universally recognized and this is a live example. there are some smart people today who still have faith in bitcoin and believe that crypto is the new trend. Such entrepreneurs have a faith in the growth potential of bitcoin and the like assets that is why they have that vision of ruling the world.

I do believe in the strength of the crypto and this is the reason I am still here attached to this market after so many ups n downs. But not all have this kind of patience. They need to imbibe such values in them in order to be successful.

Even though lots of bans from chinese government, chinese people are really crazy about whole crypto world and what can be best way to fly out of country with their money other than bitcoin and same applies to both small and big investors. Chinese people want to invest in foreign countries and bitcoin is best to way move their yuan to dollar for extreme profit after few months. I am afraid of this guy dumping his whole bitcoin if price will go over $30k or near it. He might not care about the future value as he is just an investor who believes in profit taking.

Does anyone know if this guy went ahead and sold? We only hear about when people are buying, as it is a way to try to sway the market towards being bullish. But is there anyway to know if this guy sold? Is there anyway to track his coins or are they on an exchange? How do we even know he bought, this could all just be a lie.

I don't trust anything unless it is FULLY proven with FACT and sources. This is nothing until proven.

That's a great sign that we the holders also have a future. We shouldn't just sit there and let the rich men buy all the coin but also invest or buy more of it to make it some days to come.

I also heard that news yesterday, That person is much intelligent person who did not cared for any ban and started to get the benefit from the time when the price of bitcoin reached to a bottom. Now you can see that how much he got the benefit, From that time till now he already got more than 30% profit from his this investment.

wow I guess that is was "normal" for some investors to buy some bitcoin during that correction, and I tried to accumulate as much bitcoin as I could, and I'm still trying to do it, but buying 10k BTC is just amazing. I mean, it's not like 1 BTC as $6k is cheap, and the guy decided to buy 10.000 bitcoin at an average price of $6k?

Of course that I'm impressed with the money he invested, but I'm assuming he didn't went all in, so maybe this was a "normal" investment for him. It definitely shows that successful investors are interested in bitcoin. I'm sure he was not the only one, so I guess that more will follow, and BTC price will have to keep increasing. Money attracts money, so if this guy sees something interesting in BTC, I'm sure many more will to.

the article says he's worth $1.5 billion, but most of that must be tied up in companies so it's nowhere near being available cash. he must've put in a sizeable percentage of his liquid wealth.

i presume he has an exit strategy with some even richer buddies looking to buy it off him.

and 'china' is kind of irrelevant in this context. people like this are transnational. they're not bound by one country's attitude to anything.

Not much to say except that he did an incredible business, he got those coins for a very good price and since he invested such a huge amount of money it is very likely that he has all the confidence in the world that he can hold his coins for the long term and probably become a relevant figure in the future when the price of bitcoin skyrockets.

I quite doubt it... Even if it's anything to go by, Bitcoin will definitely rally and hot new threshold. Cryptocurrency isn't rocket science, with good patience and endurance, anyone will always be happy been an investor.

I have little faith in China. Probably because I have a prejudice with respect to this country. China bought 10,000 bitcoin during the price drop. I think this is a trick of China. Initially the country banned the bitcoin for bitcoin prices and then bought bitcoin at low prices to make a profit. This is a pre-calculation.

Well, if he bought when the price was less than $6000.. then he is gonna be on a x2 in a few months from now as soon as everything recovers back to its all time high (just like it used to be before)

this is a very good example of one of the benefits of the volatility of bitcoins , he would have bought all these bitcoins when the price had fallen (when prices fall its an opportunity to buy)and now that the prices has risen he can resell at the higher price now where he is set to make millions if he chooses to sell now or he might hold further as the prices are expected to rise even more. we should always view a fall in the price of bitcoins as an opportunity to buy some coins.

there are a bunch of interesting points in this.
first the fact that despite all the crap in the media about how "China has banned bitcoin" and all the FUD like it, the Chinese are still buying bitcoin as much as they can. and the volumes are also quite high there.
second is the fact that there are a lot of people (big players and small) who have been silently buying the dips and accumulating more and more bitcoin without letting anyone know. this dip was the 2015 all over again where prices were low and everyone was FUDing to get a better deal and newbies were panicking while the "wise money" was coming in silently.

if this is really true, then that chinese was buy bitcoin with amount about $65mil.
and now if they sell it, will gain about 50% of profits of the investment.
for a big gain, you need a big amount of money too.

There will be another story like this when btc will take its rest from soaring, and by that time investors like this will become double or maybe more than a half, because btc is always enjoying as the conquer crypto among all, and as if btc's duty is to make rich the investors and never put to shame.

With regards to this, well we all know that if we have the money and the resources to do so we would also be buying a lot of bitcoins when there is a dip. I agree with you. 10k BTC is not a joke and that is some serious money right there. 10 BTC itself seems like a big amount to me which is why I am genuinely impressed by this particular investor and it is good to see such whales entering this vast crypto market. As time passes, more and more whales will continue to invest into this market due to the possibility of earning big money which is why I feel that Bitcoin can reach $50k by the end of this year and it has the potential to reach $100k in the next couple of years. As far as I know sir, China banned the bitcoin already and I think, a transaction like this is illegal. However, we do not all know when it will happened? Even after china banned bitcoin and cryptocurrency in their country, a lot of trading sites have transferred to different countries like hong kong, singapore, etc. The Chinese investors are not afraid of the ban, the big ones i guess, because they know that bitcoin is a good investment. Well i don't think the restrictions can affect large investors in china since they can probably invest from outside. The chinese i think are highly into crypto even with their government not in favor of it. Probably one day even jack ma will be drawn to crypto who knows.

China government still support the people to inverse their money on gold and silver .But this shows still many chinese interested to inverse their money in short term profitable asset like bitcoin.If more chinese inverse their money in a dip,the price will automatically increase.

Does anyone know how such a huge transaction is completed?  I'm guessing there are some professional middlemen, like what Christie does for the art world, who specialize in the trading of large volume crypto.  Anyone knows of any agencies that do this? But what we have to worry about is that these investors are often sold by the impact of China's policy. Chinese people are known to be a business oriented people since the yearly years of civilization and this guy had seen potential growth ob bitcoin that is good for his investment. Later, this guy would eventually be gaining millions of dollars on his profit once a great bullish market will happen anytime of the year.

Thats a very impressive investments considering that sheer amount of money that he had to shed out in order to buy 10k bitcoins.  Its seems a like a very good sign too because he probably believes that bitcoin and crypto in general will experience another recovery that will bring prices to record highs.

Perhaps, that is a strong indication that even the Chinese government is doing assault on bitcoin operation, still many investors are not taking it seriously and instead patronizing the entire technology.
