Specifications:
Encryption: Scrypt
Target Block Time: 3 minutes (1.5 minutes after block 11,800)
Difficulty Calculation: every 10 blocks (Kimoto Gravity Well after block 11,800)
Confirmations: 1 for transaction (allows individuals to use better judgement), 28 for mined block.
Total Number of Coins: 210,000,000
Block Reward: 500 ETC (250 ETC after block 11,800)
Block reward will not change.
Pre-Mine: 1,300,000 ETC (600,000 of which, will be awarded through bounties, 50,000 will be given away on launch to 50 people)

Additional Information:

Why static block reward?
I believe a difficulty change is one of the best indicators of a crypto-coins worth, this means that early-adopters are not rewarded, instead the individuals with the highest percentage of hash rate for the longest are the ones rewarded. Furthermore, This will show what will happen to bitcoin after all base reward coins are mined, and prove that a crypto coin can be sustained purely on transaction rewards.

Block 10,000 will receive 10,000ETC Bonus
Also offering a 25 etc reward for every block with a multiple of 10 eg: 9280,9290, 9300, etc.

How To Get Started:
Download the client and extract it to folder of choice
Launch the client, wait until it opens, close it.
Search for %appdata% ( on windows 8 ) and place eternalcoin.conf in your eternalcoin folder inside of your Application Data folder
Relaunch the client

What is a bit worse with this coin:
Network is stuck at block 2680 for last 27 minutes - diff got perhaps too high during the premine, so maybe this will end up in a stillbirth :)
The source - git repo full of compiled binaries (great, get a free windows binary with every GIT revision), .o files (intermediate products of a compilation - see, those .gitignore files have some purpose, you should not just delete them :) ) and ".bak" files (what? ever heard of "git diff"? ) speaks clearly of developer with at least no previous GIT knowledge and unknown C++ knowledge - if things break, will he be able to fix it?. Code review: fail.

So, this is obviously another get-rich-quick coin created according to instructions on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217636.0 - unfortunately, even bribing 50 people with 2 blocks worth of coin each won't help you if the code looks like stuff was quickly smashed together and the launch is also not going well (with parking brake stuck you're not going anywhere...)

Coin launch: ... we'll see, but I predict a fail too.

delete eternalcoin folder, and also delete the eternalcoin folder in %appdata%.

Regarding comments and concerns about premine and pump and dump. Now on one hand, if I pre mined nothing I would have no reason to continue to support, develop, and market this coin, If I pre mined too much people would consider it too greedy (I hope I found a middle ground here at ~0.006) - I consider it shares in the company im working to improve. For this reason, it makes little sense for me to dump the coin and continue working on it, the goal for this coin is for it to be proof that the bitcoin system can survive on transaction fees alone. The plan behind it is to have a "pre-launch" phase for roughly 2 and a half years in which all the currency is mined and distributed, once that phase is complete it will become a transaction network so individuals can move value faster than bitcoin. Now regarding a pump-n-dump, I can give a personal guarantee on how much ETC i will spend per year and it will be at 15% for the first two years, and 30% per year moving forward from that, I would be much more inclined to not reach those maximum values however as It would make more sense for me to cash-out at a much later period, but I may use some ETC to pay fees for my VPS, Domain, Etc.

A very long explanation.

What I make of it, is the coins stolen were mined from the pool (no-one is saying otherwise), that is why it seemed to be linked to his account, if i mined block 1 to wallet a, and move coins from wallet a to wallet b

block 1 coins will originate from address x (which is linked to wallet a) to wallet b, that address is a unique address that was made to receive a new block and would not be able to send/receive transactions from it otherwise. He assured me he did a clean install of everything as well, my only precaution would be to set an auto withdrawal if you choose to use his pool, but i am inclined to believe him, why stick around if he stole the coins? Would be smarter to start a new identity and begin tumbling coins.

I am open to facts and discourse but I am not going to rush to a decision before I have been provided with hard proof, and no-one knows who actually stole those coins for a fact

I do plan on creating multiple paid community ambassador positions but before I begin to focus my efforts on marketing, I first want to be proud of the client, webpage, and logo. I would also very much prefer genuine interest as opposed to hype which can lead to pump and dumps and instability. Bad news guys: my laptops motherboard short-circuited so working on v1.2 will be stalled for around a week. I have something I need the community inputs on; I have noticed that the network hashrate doubles/quadruples and halves accordingly, this leaves the network with an unbalanced hash rate to difficulty ratio which causes either fast or slow blocks. I have two solutions for this;

the first is limiting the amount of % the difficulty can raise/go down

Hi,

I have been mining for few hours now on http://etc.bondni.com and it seems that the pool is having some difficulties.
First of all, my cgminer client shows that I have found at least a block (user tkminer) but the pool does not show it
(if it helps, I have a screenshot of cgminer showing that it found a block).
It is also strange that according to the blocks page stats, no blocks have been apparently found by the pool since 28/01.

Maybe something got stuck somewhere. !!!

If others have the same issue, then maybe somebody needs to look into this issue.

On the other hand I also mined on the etc.easy-mining.net pool and blocks kept coming as expected.

For now it should be more like a warning for others that this issue needs investigation and maybe until we have a confirmation that it was fixed using the bondni pool might not be the best idea.

This is a follow up of my previous post.

After I saw my blocks were not registering on the pool, I have used the block explorer to check the payment address for the latest reported blocks by the pool (6175 and 6176). The block explorer confirmed my suspicions that blocks being credited to the same address as the 6175 and 6176 blocks were still found but not reported by the pool. The whatever round the pool is stuck with (the current round on the pool stats shows to be at 16893.32% from the estimated shares).

Here is the link from the block explorer to verify that blocks were found (credited to the same address) after the latest reported by the pool:

I have been mining as a single miner on that pool (this what the pool was listing 1 miner when I was mining) from at least when block 8702 was found until at least when block 8746 was found (but likely it might have been until block 8757) from the link posted above.

That is over 20 blocks that I basically solo mined for the pool and they seem not to have found their way to the pool stats.

I really like this coin. I advertised EternalCoin on one of the cryptocurrency website, so our net hashrate increased slightly. We need now working two pools at least and an official website to increase our net hashrate more.

The pool hashrates have leveled out, so now *9267* will be offering a 25 ETC reward for every block in multiples of 10 (9260,9270,9280,etc.) every block before 9252 on the bondi pool got a 25 extra btc reward please post here or pm me to claim our bounties for the etc.bondni pool.

The idea of this coin was a crypto currency in which the total distribution would been completed in what I thought was a short amount of time (after launch looking at other coins, I found out some other coins also have a short distribution time as well). Another vision of this coin is that it would actively give back to society either through the voting model I presented or through (0.01%) of all fees going to a treasurer who would allocate the funds to charities depending on community input.

I think it would also be a good idea to focus our marketing push after our website is out, so within a week or two I hope.
