These guys here http://www.rockethub.com/34210#description-tab are are saying they can get to the moon and with that offer a place on it for a 120 char message and my offer is ill pay for that spot as im rather geeky and happy take the risk like that kind of guy and i figured i could send a btc address up there ie to the moon. so im saying this i will add a btc address to my message and i dont want anything in return but i would like to send a full btc up there which i carnt afford, so im not asking in anyway for donations to any address all im asking for is people here to say best way to do this i think a vanity address also peoples messages on the chain and possably a coin with the private key in a museum all ideas open here and i 100% do not want to earn from this just to actually send btc to the moon. thankyou for your time reading this Madcotto Title: Re: To the moon for real Post by: Jan on January 24, 2014, 10:28:43 PM Huh? Poor phrasing and drunken grammar aside, the OP is obviously opening a discussion surrounding the prospect of sending BTC to the moon. I'll chip in a bitcent or ten. Fuck it. Quote @LunarLionPSU (https://twitter.com/LunarLionPSU) Embed a #Bitcoin donation option onto your website and Bitcoin 100 (http://bitcoin100.org/) will endow you $1,000 USD via BTC with no strings attached. A public address? But, then it could still be used by who ever has the private key. Maybe PSU needs to get a wallet and create their own address, so they can receive donations and have a physical representation of it (their cold storage?) located on the moon?
Otherwise, is OP going to send the information for a cold storage wallet containing 1 bitcoin in order to say there is a bitcoin on the moon? Sorry... confused, but not drunk. Maybe I need a six pack to understand better? Title: Re: To the moon for real Post by: Phinnaeus Gage on January 25, 2014, 02:15:08 AM Still trying to figure out what would be worth sending. So simple a (see image below) can do it. http://cheapcinemafile.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/2001_monkey.jpg Title: Re: To the moon for real Post by: empoweoqwj on January 25, 2014, 02:48:58 AM Still trying to figure out what would be worth sending. Maybe I need a six pack to understand better? lol. I might try out your thesis later on when its night-time here ........ otherwise, yeah, pretty confused. Not even sure why we physically need a bitcoin on the moon. It's just a saying. I don't think anyone took it literally ..... I think I need to get that vodka ready and "open my mind" Title: Re: To the moon for real Post by: Enkel on January 25, 2014, 03:35:29 AM Still trying to figure out what would be worth sending. I think I need to get that vodka ready and "open my mind" Well, you know... "it's just a saying" is the first step to fiat currency, right? And, then before you know it, someone will propose fuzzy logic to replace that huge block chain and then we'll be hearing about BTC derivatives markets.... we as a community should be fighting back against these fiat tyrants who would destroy the very essence of BTC! I think I need to go get another beer now. Arm chair angst makes me thirsty.
