This group buy has sold out. Group Buy #6 is now open https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=507600.0. Or for more info about our cooperative and to get the latest news on new group buys check out http://coinninja.com/

Now open! A final batch of Antminers escaped China before the Chinese New Year! We are hashing at full capacity 5.7TH with 30
Antminers! The Scrypt rig is hashing on 6 out 7 cards.

Get both SHA-256 and Scrypt hashpower with this combo group buy! Group Buy consists of 30 ANTMiners and One 7-card R9 290x rig.

Everything has been ordered and paid for, no waiting for the group buy to complete. We guarantee a live hashing date of Friday February 7th (for the Antminers, the Scrypt rig may take a couple extra days; it is a prototype after all).  We have beaten our guaranteed live date on EVERY group buy so far (Group #3 beat it by a week!). Want more Scrypt? Group Buy #5 is live now, private owners only https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=453536.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=453536.0) ~ add 300kh/s+  to your weekly hashing with no additonal hosting fees!  We're launching a professional miner colocation company and will be doing more group buys in the future. We have 10MW worth of power at our disposal!  There are a total of 300 shares for this Group Buy.

Who am I?
I'm an open source developer, and a Bitcoin mining hardware addict. I've run out space at several mining locations, and finally "bit the bullet" and moved into a world class datacenter. We are talking about a 24 hour security (multiple redundant power systems, back-up generators, back-up back-up generators, pre-chilled water tanks for back-up cooling, retina-scan access) professional data center. I am the Meetup coordinator for the Arizona Bitcoin Meetup group (now 110+ members strong; Bitcoin is kicking ass in PHX!!!). I've met many people from Bitcointalk and prominent members of the community in person as well. I've run a few Bitcoin related projects, designed my own Bitfury USB miner (ouch on that story), and pretty much eat, sleep, drink, live and breathe Bitcoin 24/7/365.

A full-time employee at the datacenter is a group buy owner. Our hardware is getting the coldest spot in the house, and will be well supervised! No more intense heat, fire risk, angry wife, or surprise electric bills. Let us host your miner(s) in an ICE COLD datacenter.

This Group Buy Includes:
  • 30 Bitmain ANTMINER S1 Units
  • 1 - 7 card R9 290X Monster Scrypt Rig
  • First 30 days of ANT hosting included FREE!
  • Power supply rental included FREE!
  • Miners hosted securely behind a firewall: priceless

The ANTMINER S1 Units are power competitive with offerings in the 28nm range, so they should perform well up until the difficulty is up to 300M. Being hosted in a professional data center gives the group buy owner the advantage of the best uptime and lowest ping times to the pools to reduce stale shares. If the majority of group buy owner agree, we will adjust the clocks to extract the maximum potential hashrate from the ANTMiner ASICs. Our cage should be ready for this one, so it will go there.

Terms

Payouts will be paid weekly. After the first 30 days, monthly hosting fees of 149.99 per unit ($14.99 per share) will be assessed to the group buy. No additional management charges apply. The hosting charges will be deducted at the exchange-rate obtained by the group buy from a provider such as Coinbase. After 90 days of weekly hosting (120 days from start of mining), you may choose to pay your monthly fees in USD, so that you can keep the maximum amount of bitcoin that your hardware generates. If you own a multiple of 10x shares, you may choose to take physical possession of your hardware, after the initial 120 day period. NOC fee and shipping fee NTE $99 per unit apply. The group buy will be responsible for paying the hosting fees on the 7-card Scrypt rig based on it's total power usage, currently estimated at $599/mo.

You agree as a group buy owner to host your hardware with us for a total period of at least 120 days. If at any time thereafter the weekly earnings of the miners are insufficient to pay the hosting fees, the group buy owners shall make up the difference in USD. Non-payment of hosting fees/deficit will result in forfeiture of ownership rights to the hosted hardware. Any and all payments are due when invoiced; 30 days late constitutes default and will result in forfeiture of your fractional ownership. The 7-card Scrypt rig is owned by the group collectively; we expect to be hashing with it for a long time to come.

How to Buy

Send [btc]0.295 x the number of shares you would like to the common group buy payment address:

Closed - See Auction

ACH Payments available on request via PM, at the preev.com rate.

Current owner loyalty bonus: If you currently own shares in Group Buy #1-#3 you may purchase at a reduced price of  BTC0.259

ANTMiners are sold out, and they are closed until after the holiday.

Each fractional share represents 1/10th of an ANTMiner S1, approx 18-20GH (w/ overclock), plus 1/300th of a 7-card R9 290X rig. This is close to half off the current price for hosted hashing on Cex.io, and a much better value overall compared to buying ANYTHING else out there.  You get hashes NOW, no waiting for lengthy pre-orders.

IMPORTANT: You will receive your payout to the FIRST address that is used as an input to this transaction. Make certain that this is an address that you control, and not an exchange or off-blockchain wallet service. You will be required to sign a message using the first input address to verify ownership of your fractional hardware.

FINCEN Compliance: This group buy is hosted in the US and geared toward US persons who would like to take an ownership position of Bitcoin mining hardware. You are buying a fractional ownership of the hardware. If you own a multiple of 10x shares, you may choose to take physical possession of your hardware after a period of 120 days. The group buy coordinator is NOT offering any type of security or financial product, rather we are selling fractional ownership of physical hardware and providing hosting/management services. Out of an abundance of caution, we reserve the right to collect KYC information from our customers. You may be requested to present an ID and recent utility bill to verify your identity. The group buy coordinator is not a money transmitter, and merely facilitates hosting of miners for group buy owners.

Watching closely.. after talking with Ninja and seeing the other GB's he seems to have the best thing going by a long shot.
Should we assume this is another 300 share GB?

Yes, it will be another 300 shares. We're going to have our cage full before we even move into it! Good thing it has plenty of room for expansion.

About the scrypt miner:
Will it be used to mine different coins or just LTC? I would expect to mine different coins; the ideal strategy is to stay on top of new coins and convert to btc when their price initially peaks. There are other strategies to mining the most profitable coin, such as middlecoin and the like that we can also explore.

Will the coins mined be converted to BTC before distribution?
I would prefer to distribute in BTC, but this isn't set in stone either. Perhaps owners would like to receive LTC or Doge to diversify?

When you say prototype are there working units out there or is this just theory to be tested?
We haven't built the working unit (yet) but we have built numerous other GPU based rigs in the past.  We're going to try to fit it in 4U, but we will go to 8U and an expansion case if needed.  We are also exploring using a custom made frame. The motherboard/CPU is coming from a working GPU rig, and we are going to use USB risers.

Will this will be mining about the same time as the S1's?
Yes I expect to get this running in parallel with the S1's.  We've gotten deploying antminers down to a science as this point.

Is this a better value than just adding more S1's? Meaning if i wanted LTC would it be better to mine it or just convert BTC to LTC? From what i gather this will be an energy hog too.

Hard to say, certainly the GPU rig will hold it's resale better. It will give the group more flexibility to explore new currencies; for me it's more of a challenge (and more fun!).

2 Shares - .518 BTC

Address: 1ANtSHArEvputiWusBgJWjc229HbSr4Mv5

I think using a pool such as Middlecoin and paying out in BTC would produce good results and be the easiest solution.

Once we can guarantee the live mining date, then we will make it available to the public. For now we are still "developing" the offer and gathering feedback from owners. There are still a few shares left of group #2; once you are an owner with us then you will get owner pricing on future buys.

So for the GPU mining part were looking at about 20kHs per share right?

Thats a pretty fair estimate.  I'm having lunch with a custom crypto rig builder later this week; hopefully we can work out a deal to bring a BIG scrypt group buy together for Group Buy #5.

Looks like we are go for a Feb 6th install date for the next batch of Antminers, as always I will try to beat that date if at all humanly possible. This group buy will be live for the public starting tomorrow.

Anyone have a better idea than middlecoin for GPU rig?

What is the price, I cannot really read it.

Is it 30.259?

Thanks,

It's BTC0.259 to preorder if you are already a shareholder in another of Ninja's groupbuys.  If not I have a feeling he'll have the price up tomorrow.

The easiest way would be just using Middlecoin, so you are mining the most profitable coin and don't have to deal with using exchanges to convert altcoins to BTC. That's what I personally use for my mini mining operation  ;D

I'm going to move some bitcoin around to be able to pay for 5 or 6 shares.

I would be really interested in getting Worldcoins (next to Litecoins for example). As WDC has (afaik) the most mature plan to get cryptocurrency into POS locations. With Scharmbeck having a Fincen certificated financial service there is a good driving force pushing it :)

You can just buy whatever coin you want if you think its price will increase, but when mining you should only care about what is currently the most profitable coin to mine.

Looks like middlecoin and wafflecoin both mine the most profitable coin and convert to bitcoin.  We will split test for a week and then decide where to point the scrypt hashrate.

I think you copy/pasted a bit too much from you're other GB terms  ;)

Hosting fee on the 7-card rig is $599 a month? In other words it is expected to be as expensive as a Neptune? Hefty.

How is this hosting fee being paid by the group? Deducted from div payments? Is first month of hosting also free or only for the ANTs?

Cheers

Good chance to diversify a bit with scrypt and GPUs resale value should hold up a bit better too.

Put me down for 1 share at owners rate (I also own a share of group 2)

Note, it's a different payment address than my group 2 address.

Love your work, thanks

So i guess the question would be is 18kH of scrypt equal to 12GH of sha256?

At current difficulties - 12 GHZ of sha256 should generate around 0.003 in a 24 hour period, and 18kh of scrypt should generate around 0.0002 in a 24 hour period.  These can vary based on luck.  Of course, can we answer the question is 12GH of sha256 when the Neptune ships equivalent to 18kh of scrypt now?  Impossible to know for certain, but given the diversity of scrypt based coins, overall difficulty should not rise to rapidly, and in many coins difficulty decreases as mining pools stop mining them.

hosting fee 14,99 USD per Month per Share? Thats 180 USD in the first year.. compared to the cost of the share ( 275 USD ) thats a lot of hidden cost!
by the way that's 54.000 USD for the datacenter..
good luck you guys...

Paying for power isn't a hidden cost; it's a necessary expense....and it's clearly stated in the offering what the hosting fees are.

Split testing Wafflepool and Middlecoin and setting the better one as the primary and the other as the backup sounds like a good idea. Can't wait to see the details of the scrypt group buy.

@MWninja, if you have 2 minutes, could you clarify these points by answering the questions.

Am in GB1+3 and still deliberating if I should join in GB4.

Cheers

I think you copy/pasted a bit too much from you're other GB terms  ;)

Hosting fee on the 7-card rig is $599 a month? In other words it is expected to be as expensive as a Neptune? Hefty.

How is this hosting fee being paid by the group? Deducted from div payments? Is first month of hosting also free or only for the ANTs?

Cheers

First month is free only for the ANTs; the GPU rig is going to be a power hungry beast (easily over 2k watts), so yes it will cost about the same to run as a Neptune. It will be split across the group, deducted from dividends that it generates.  We're talking only $2/per month per share on it, so it shouldn't be too bad. If it becomes unprofitable we will liquidate the cards and split the proceeds, with owners getting "dibs" on the cards.

Another option for the scrypt machine is to make it available on Leaserig or Betarigs:

Any estimation when will GB#5 rig be ready?

We should have our prototype VGA rig ready for when this group buy goes live, assuming it works in the server case I am planning to modify. We may end up needing to build a custom frame, which could delay things on it a day or two max.  The all Scrypt group buy will build from the same design, so probably figure on late February (PC components are getting difficult to source; there's now a shortage of power supplies, VGA cards, and other random cables that are needed to build these out).  Plus we need to sell through GB #4 before we can think too much about #5 ....so get your orders in :)

Hi, I am new to bitcoin and this is my first post on this forum. I'm interested in this offer and just have a few questions, if anyone is willing to clarify this for me it would be greatly appreciated!

So firstly, you mentioned that this is "geared towards US persons". Do you mean that you are strictly only accepting offers from US citizens, or just that you'd prefer US citizens? Being from Australia, am I still eligible?

Reading the thread it seems you are accepting offers from previous customers first. So when will you open up shares at 0.295 for the public?

Regarding the management costs, from what I understood I will have to pay 15/month for the Antminer, and roughly 2/month for the scrypt rig, for a minimum of 120 days as stated in your terms, is that correct?
I'd like to know to my options after the 120 days. If it continues to be profitable after 120 days of course I'd like to continue running it. But if it is no longer profitable, I assume you would stop running it and we would be free from having to pay the hosting fees? But since I would still own 1/10 of the machine, and you obviously can't send 1/10 of a machine physically through the mail, what happens exactly to my fractional ownership?

Lots of questions I know, just trying to make sure I understand how everything works before I invest!

Thanks for your time

Anyone is welcome to buy, we love Aussies.

Accepting public sales now.  You'll get owner pricing on future group buys.

Regarding the management costs, from what I understood I will have to pay 15/month for the Antminer, and roughly 2/month for the scrypt rig, for a minimum of 120 days as stated in your terms, is that correct?

For the first 120 days hosting fees are  deducted automatically from your earnings.  We should have the ability to take fiat payment for hosting soon, in which case you could get all your mined bitcoin if you pay the hosting directly. After 120 days you can continue to have the hosting deducted from your earnings as long as the miner is profitable to run.

To get out of your hosting obligation you would need to own 10 shares, and take physical delivery.  If you own less, and they reach the point where they are no longer profitable, you can walk away ~ you will lose your ownership if the hosting fees are not met.  We'll have some upgrade paths as well in the future.

We mine on BTC Guild, using a private server for the best possible connection.  The scrypt rig will be set to middlecoin/wafflecoin/ similar, and we will get paid in BTC.  If you want to accumulate alts, then buy some ;)

We should start seeing our first hashes tonight (setup & staging), with full hashing from the datacenter beginning tomorrow.

The GPU rig is coming along nicely as well.  We've given up on trying to stuff them in a case and are working on a roll-out tray design.

I'm out on business travel today, so everything is contingent on the airlines getting me home  :)

Just some rough numbers based on 5.76 TH/s, 20%/11 day diff adjustment and a steady $10/day per MH/s scrypt miner at 6.3 MH/s.

This is based on BTC @ $800 and mining coins like WDC, DGC and FRK at anywhere from $55 - $65 per day.

We're working on bringing up the Scrypt rig.  Let's just say its being a royal pain in the ass (1x to 16x risers not playing nice), and it's now sporting 2 motherboards.  We should have it operational in the next day from our staging area and get installed next week.

We're working on bringing up the Scrypt rig.  Let's just say its being a royal pain in the ass (1x to 16x risers not playing nice), and it's now sporting 2 motherboards.  We should have it operational in the next day from our staging area and get installed next week.

https://i.imgur.com/ztwXgb2l.jpg

I see Scrypt Hashrate: 5.5365 MH/s up on the GB#4 page... is that only 6/7 cards or all 7 now?

If we are still awaiting to add #7... then good god you got some sweet spot 290X cards getting over 900KH/s each!

That would mean a possible 6.45+ MH/s which definitely beat my estimates. Crossing fingers this is only 6 cards right now lol!

https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

Only shows 2 above 900 and the 990KH/s one is full of shit at those clocks. If you got ~915KH/s each you are doing something right.

Only 6 out of 7 cards, they are all stable at 930KH/s each running on BAMT; rejects are a bit high but that will improve once we actually install the rig.  I spent more hours than I can count getting this rig ready; it went over budget once we added a 2nd mobo, but was hella fun to build despite the frustrations. We welded up our own stand for the VGA cards, which alone was a 4+ hour job.

Any GPU miner would tell you those cards are WAY too close together. You will hit temperature and reliability issues, especially with cards that do not back blow like the Asus R9 280x. they blow hot air straight into the intake of the next card!

These are all 290x reference design cards that blow all the hot air out the back of the card. They get plenty of cold air coming in (box fan) even in the staging area they are running under 85c during daytime and 70c at night. I expect them to do even better when they installed into the datacenter and we can get some real cooling air to play with.

As I said, back blowers are the only ones that get away with that degree of proximity, and only some of them. 6950's even back blowers were terrible on proximity due to radient heat. Unless your massivly pressed for space, I would still look to give future rigs a bit more space per card. I'm running 5 R9-280x's at 70 degrees with no back fan and no additional cooling in a non-heated houshold room. I'm sure you are aware the lower you keep the temp, the longer the card life.

Yes, there are still 94 shares left in group #4.  You should also pick up a share in group 5, it's currently priced UNDER the market value for gridseed chips; as the price of BTC has fallen, and the scrypt asics are priced in USD ~ plus no additional hosting fees.

Hmm I just might get a few more shares in both GBs, though I made a large investment already in 20X dualminer USBs and an LA3M. I would have to wait in any case a week to buy/attain more BTC. Hopefully, I can. I think this makes pretty good sense. One thing that has me frightened though is that I am new to mining and hoping I don't fry my gear  :o. Anyway, will try to buy more shares if I can free up more funds. Thanks again for putting this together.

We're great at frying gear so you don't have to ;) We try to always get the latest, most profitable gear and pass the saving on to our owners. We do accept ACH payment from existing owners at preev.com rate, so no need to wait on buying BTC.

i own two asus 290x cards and both burned up in the same conditions you have yours now. luckily asus repaired them both for me. i have ordered an arctic extreme 3 cooler, copper heat sinks, and geld paste to test on one of the cards .. i am waiting on the copper heat sinks to arrive .. did you know replacing the thermal paste can give considerable drops in heat alone and increase efficiency drawing less power ?? .. these are the kinds temps you should be getting with those cards:

GPU - 61c
VRM 1 - 55c
VRM 2 - 53c

u want the best heat sinks on the vrms as they get the hottestest, this is why i bought copper heat sinks to replace the cheap aluminum heat sinks that come with the cooler .. use the aluminum on ur ram chips if u run out of copper since they don't get as hot . these 290x cards run hot and need better aftermarket cooling .

Hi guys, I'm very interested in investing in a couple of shares but somehow my math seems to fail me.
I tried it as follows:
A share would currently cost about $190
I would buy 1.8 - 2.0 GH/s + whatever the scrypt rig adds.
1.8 - 2.0 GH/s today earn about $.20 to $.22 cents by stats I can find.
Hosting is $15 a month. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, what?

Please help me out guys, this smells like exactly the thing I would love to invest in, it seems you have a decent numbers of shares I would like to have ^^

So about that spreadsheet, am I reading that right. So by the end of week 17 each share should have made about .24 BTC. Given that a share cost .259 to .295, by the end of week 17, your out about 0.019 - 0.055 BTC. I have no idea what the grey part of the sheet means :(

Don't get me wrong, I thought this before I got a share. I just think this is awesome.

But in the end it is all guess work. That sheet was based on 1BTC=$800, which is less now.
And I think it was based on a 20% difficulty increase.
These parameters could both change dramatically.

Nevertheless, it should be a pretty good indication and at least it makes the guess a bit more educated. :-)

Spot on...

All figures are based on a 20% difficulty increase per 11 days. It is also subtracting the hosting fee $s calculated against $800 BTC as noted. That does cause some issues at current rates seeing as Ninja will be deducting the BTC based on the exchange rate during payout. While both miners seem to be close to my estimates, the cost of BTC and the floating difficulty make the figures nothing more than an estimated guess.

The gray area is just for my purposes to help break down difficulty periods vs. pay weeks. Basically it allowed me to easily see how to calculate a pay week's dividends when the difficulty changes mid week. It also lists how many total days have passed since 10X share owners can take possession of the Ant miners after 120 days.

Okay, so generally what I figured. And thanks for clearing up the grey area for me :)

What day of the week are payouts?

Thanks!

Payouts will happen this evening. We have to go move Group #1 into the cage and install the GPU rig, plus our meetup has it's satoshi square today. It's going to be a busy bitcoin day. When I get back from all that I will determine the final owner's list and we'll send out the first payout.  You have until I return to get your orders in if you want to get paid today.

I'm working on the final owners list and will send payouts shortly after that.  The list is officially frozen as of now; any shares purchased beyond this moment will not receive a payout this week. We'll open up an auction for the remaining shares after that. Group #5 (owner's only) is going to be our last group buy until after we get our colocation business launched, so don't miss the opportunity to join our mining cooperative.

Hi Again,
I am so sorry to bother you, because you are absolutely soooo super organized.
This is the payment I received:
13XNByr1TkL4EksLUiKtmQpWa8FFYSWGM8  .045
The one listed for .022 I did not receive. (15ju9zMdp4UrEtunpDrmByDt3UQA1BaXuN)
Is this correct? They are listed separately, but I only received one payment.
I hate to bother you, because I know you are doing absolutely busy doing everything.. mining, paperwork, etc.
Maybe it would be best to use the above address (13XNByr1TkL4EksLUiKtmQpWa8FFYSWGM8)for both, then.

I have you @ 1 share of Group #2 and 1 Share of Group #4
Group #2 payout was .022  Group #4 was .02303 for a total of .045 paid to 13XNByr1TkL4EksLUiKtmQpWa8FFYSWGM8.  If you look at the transaction you will see it's actually in the output list twice.

When next payout? Thanks!

We're relocating Group #5 to the datacenter this morning, so payouts will happen in the evening today after I get back.

We're adding a new member to our team today as well, we have a very experienced Sysadmin that is going to be installing, configuring, and managing our private (alt-currency) pool.  This should give a nice boost to the scrypt earnings for this group buy.

Hello Fellow Owners.

You might have seen the IPython notebook revenue estimator that I posted in these forums a few weeks back. I've now turned that into a standalone website that enables you to estimate your current returns from participating in the group buys.

Have a look at: http://coininaflaskopenshift-franktoil.rhcloud.com/

For your privacy, all info specific to your situation is NOT stored on the server. Rather it is stored in an encrypted cookie in your browser.

Have Fun!

Hi Ninja:

Noticing a discrepancy on recent payout.

I assume still 8 shares in both gb 4 and 5. Sold one share in gb4 to Lynn I assume effective today. And also 6 shares converting from gb4 once you get the 1THz machines--full disclosure.

My payout is .13392 from block chain, but I'm getting .1647 when I calculate using the individual share payouts from gb4 and gb5.

Thanks in advance for addressing when you can.

Lots of miners seem to have gone offline?

We have some issues with what we think is a bad PDU that is causing tripped breakers.  A new PDU is on the way and we have a temp fix in place. It's been a very trying experience trying to solve these power issues so we hope replacing the PDU fixes it for the long haul. I'd love to unload the whole story on you guys, and it's straight craziness ~ stranger than fiction, but I am going to have to consult with my attorney before I comment further about what all happened today.

Unfortunately this group buy is no longer operating with a profit and will be wound-up.

We are winding-up this group buy, as well as group buy #1, #3, and #4.

Process for taking delivery (if you have multiples of 10 shares):
PM me for an invoice for the $99 fee, and will reply with an email address for you to send the shipping labels to. You need to provide your own shipping labels.  I'll post the exact dimensions and weight in an update tomorrow.

If you pre-paid hosting, we will return your unused hosting payment at the bitstamp rate. Give us a couple of days to let the dust settle and we'll get it out.

If you have less than 10 shares or if you don't contact me for shipping arrangements; we are buying back the shares at .035 each. We will complete the buyback on May 1st for Group Buy #1 -Group Buy #4 so please get in touch before then.

Ninja,

GB 5 was dependent on other GBs good standing? What does this mean we have to do for GB 5 now?

Everyone else,

FYI I am interested in buying some shares to bring myself up to 10 total in GB 4 so I can acquire an Ant. I will post in the trade thread with my offer.

Edit: Already taken care of!

There's this info on GB5's page, I guess that this will apply:
Quote
If you take delivery of hardware for your other shares and want to keep the 300kh/s of Scrypt, a $14.99 per month fee per share of Group Buy #5 will apply.

Group 5 will continue, a small power fee (NOT the $14.99/mo) will be added to cover the electricity for those that no longer have shares.  We expect #5 to remain profitable for several months still.

Are you selling the 290x to group buy members? If so, how much for 1?

Yes, we have 7 290x's available.  We will sell them @ .75BTC each to members (plus shipping). You can apply your shares toward this as well if you are interested.

Is the income of the hardware sell divided amongst the "shareholder" ?

The buyout price seems pretty low seeing that we paid .3btc for each share.  Just a touch over 10% from our initial investment(not to mention the value of a bitcoin was somewhere around $700 at the time of purchase if iirc).  Just curious how you came up with this amount/why you think it is fair?

Everyone here has had their shares bought back.  We have no further obligation to the group, the sale of the hardware is for us to recoup some of the losses we incurred running this group.

I've not seen any justification for the figure. The whole GB process has been shown to have used questionable (nicest interpretation) judgement, and dodgy (again kindest description) ethics. Until I see the whole story on this AND the math, MWNinja goes on negative trust.

Didn't the hardware belong to the shareholders? Everyone involved here has had losses, it seems unfair that you are the one that gets the most recoup. Unless there's some fine prints in the OP that I missed.

Yeah, I am pretty much done with group buys, I lost on every one of them i did, serval by questionable actions by the group organizer. The only thing I have made money off of is PETA....

Ditto, PETA seems to be the only one being done on a truly professional basis. PETA 40% gain so far for me, MWNinja 50% loss/theft! KNCMiner failed to deliver 1 month late, DZ Miners coop (Black Arrow group buy) failed to deliver 3 months late.

Fine print was y'all was supposed to all pay hosting fees if the BTC earnings didn't cover it.  Very very few did, so it put us in a bad predicament. Plus the DC fucked us over, turned everything off, fired my partner.  Then held all the gear hostage, we spent $3k with a lawyer to get it out.  At that point we had a BTC offer for all the ASIC gear from a private investor, and nowhere to power it so we liquidated it out and bought back the shares.  Per the contract, the failure to pay hosting should have resulted in a forfeiture, but we did better than that and bought out at market value of the ANTs for QTY on hand.

Investor didn't want the VGA cards so they are just sitting here.  Had I not paid for the lawyer there would have been 0 returned.  We aren't done with the legal predicament here, so I think its plenty fair that the sale of that hardware help cover our operating losses first. But theres really no market for VGA right now so I just have a big credit card bill.

Yeah it sucks when things don't work out and the market goes the wrong way; I totally put my heart into this effort and more work than you could ever imagine and now have 1/4 the number of bitcoin I started with.

We are letting those that redeemed for hardware (meeting their obligations) from this group buy participate in the bonus group buy. We'll also consider letting those that took the buyback participate (on a limited case-by-case basis) if they return the buyback btc.

These problems were indeed mentioned on post #76 and #79 of the share information thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=491659.60 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=491659.60)
However, it was not quite clear what caused that in the first place.
