Altcoins usually experience slightly more exaggerated price movements than BTC and ETH, those two are in the green and the trend will likely continue. Meaning that altcoins will very likely pump way up as well.

The market might be green today but it's very minimal, 1-2% at most. I would call it more of a neutral day, maybe we could call that yellow. When the market truly turns green everything will be growing 10% or more per day for a decent period of time. If we see BTC move back to around 8k then alts will get their pump also.

I think it will not last long if bitcoin and ethereum have not recovered, alt always pumped in any situation, but for now I'm sure his pump will not be high.

Yes, ethereum and bitcoin coins are in the middle of rising prices.
Hopefully it continues and affects some other altcoin.

Not all altcoins will experience an increase as well, because the bnyak altcoin available in the market can not afford to compete.

This looks a bit different than it, the recent news about the classified of bitcoin and ethereum only gives a short-term hype to the market. It looks like the price has back again to search the stability. as you can see that ethereum has already traded below $500 in this day. Yesterday it was around $520 the price movement of bitcoin and ethereum can't be considered as a clue to predict the future of crypto.

That is not impossible but we don't know when since there is a lot of unexpected things that happen in cryptocurrency. Even though pumps don't happen, we should continue to trust our coins. But I hear a lot of news where people are saying that pumps happen during Q3 and Q4 of the year. Since those times are near, I am also hoping for that to happen.

I don't think it will happen, this crash really hurts lots of altcoins and I think that lots of them will never recover. Eth and Btc went up because the SEC said it is not a securities but the news is not good enough for a big rally, this could be a dead cat bounce

A pump is very less likely to happen at these times. The market hasn't even full recovered yet. I'd expect eth to recover to maybe ~$700-$800 at the 1st or 2nd week of July like it did on May.

It looks to me more like the price is trying to stabilize where it's at a bit. It will probably stay somewhere around this price point and may go either up and down a few percentage for the next few days or a week or so. Then, I don't know what is going to happen. It very well could go up. We'll just have to see.

I think we need to look at longer trends. We are definitely not on a bull run at the moment. I am confident that prices will recover, and hopefully we have hit the bottom now. The good signs are that the market hasn't fallen as far as it did in the big drop earlier this year. Signs are promising, but very early yet to say price rises are coming.

Well that is the thing we will expect this month and hopefully it will happen. But more likely the bullish on BTC right now has been fade away I hope still all the altcoins will become bullish we need some a big news for that to happen so let's wait for a few days. Goodluck everyone.

I can see rather a stabilizing day in the market with limited volatility. In these situation, price tend to move around a certain price support for a few days before heading one direction or another. Altcoins would probably experience the same sideways movement before going north.

my opinion is that currently altcoin prices are starting to stabilize, and have yet to show any significant upside movement, as bitcoin prices are still below and have not shown up prices. I think the altcoin price will go back up after the bitcoin price could touch more than $ 10K.

Yes, I can feel it!!! It would be amazing  if the drop also will post a little and pump a little it would spoil the bad moment, but some coins are still pumpkin this dips like DPY so I like to keep points for it.

When there is a market downturn, altcoins seem to suffer the most as most involved would rather convert their holdings into btc or tether.Converse is also true,when the market is bullish, altcoins see more positive growth than bitcoins.

Bitcoin price fluctuation is affect the most of the altcoins so Bitcoin will recover in soon and other altcoins also recovering. yeah usually it happens that altcoin will pump more demand while the bitcoin value is red ,it's already planned every time the bitcoin drop according to the rumor circulating altcoin will be more interested than the current bitcoin

Nothing will pump in 2018. In this bearish year we will mainly go sideways now but generally slowly down. Luckily we are so low that much lower it cant go anymore.

The recent dump to $6100 exhausted the sellers which brought a temporary pump. I expect this pump to continue till $6750-$6850. After that there might be a further correction to $5800 which is considered as the strongest support for Bitcoin. Bitcoin did try to test this level once this year and I expect it to happen again before any reasonable recovery or trend reversal. I expect June as well as half of July to be a bearish period for cryptos.

To be candid that is what we all are waiting for; to see the market GREEN again not just by 2-3% but by seeing the market grow in GREEN with 10-40%. This will happen in few months time from now. We all are waiting for it as we hold.

For real pump we will need to wait much longer, not weeks but months. This is how everything works. !st good news should come then people need to start investing and after that we can wait prices to go up but till then no chance. You need to be patient.

I think if Bitcoin comes to green most of the alts are going to red, then they come back to green again when bitcoin get the stable price.You cannot predict the pump of altcoins

Most altcoins depends on the price of bitcoins to have their values since they are in pairs with bitcoin.So expect your altcoins to go red if bitcoin is going down and to be green if bitcoins is appreciating in price.

Well you have a point more likely hard to predict when will be the pump of altcoins. But, I think it can happen since the market is always volatile so no one knows what could be the next movement. So btc and ethereum could turns green if this bearish trend will over.

hopefully not only the altcoin is in the pump, but btc too, so the movement will always be stable and rise upwards, within a few days it's very deep btc or altcoin falling, but hopefully in the near future able to rise and back as before, even more

I would like it, of course, everyone is tired, from the barely alive market that is not able to bring a decent income. But I'm not sure that it will begin very soon. Untill everybody be sure that this is real bull run.

We are waiting for this moment but I think we will still experience some dump before its pump. That’s alright even if this market goes down deeper, take this as an opportunity to have more coins because time will come and pumping days will happen again, relax and be patient.

Yes the pump is really going to start as the price of bitcoin and ethereum started to increase. But keep in mind that the pump always come with the bitcoin price and not with ethereum price as a few months ago when the price of bitcoin was down and ethereum was increasing then all the coins were down. Which showed us that the price of other altcoins are fluctuating with the price of bitcoin.

Of course altcoin has increased but not a large scale, only relatively slightly different from the previous market when in good condition, can reach a large scale, will not last long for me if Bitcoin and Ethereum are not in good condition, which at this price all altcoin strongly influenced by the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, it's good to see if the current altcoin trend is whether it will be a longer continuity or fall is not worth the increase, do not exploit any chance.

Altcoin price are based on the market cap and bitcoin price because we have seen many time about this situation. So along with bitcoin, the price of altcoin will start increasing in the market, everything is a speculation but don't know specific dates about when they start increasing.

Your predictions have been wrong for the time being. The market has gone down badly. Things are getting out of control and a lot of traders are worried.

We can not see any pumping of coins for another month. And it's easier to bet on Alts and create an artificial rise in prices. In fact, everything will depend on the bitcoin movement, while only such a strategy is working.

The volume of BTC purchases-occur not only through the exchange, we actually can not realize what is really happening. And the market can turn around almost at any time. I think corporations buying up stock exchanges are doing it for a reason. Attention of States, and the same SEC is also not just. A little need to wait and act simply on the situation.

as far as I know altcoin prices often follow bitcoin prices if bitcoin has a price spike then altcoin will also move upwards that means the function of altcoin is indeed an alternative coin of bitcoin.

No matter what’s happening now. If we want keep trading on this market, 6k5-6k7 is still ideal price for BTC. I have bought recently. If BTC gets even lower, I will get more. Because I believe the market will remain.

Not all altcoins will follow the pattern of bitcoin but most will. Ethereum Classic was confirmed as a listing on coinbase so that has pumped and is going to pump even more when the listing goes live.

I still believe that price movement of all altcoins are still depending on the value of BTC and that's very unfortunate especially with ETH. Yes, we can see small percentage of green for the past days and still hoping for bull market in the next few weeks once all the news about FUD's are done. But as per experts, including the CEO of Binance said that this is normal and there's nothing to worry about.

They reason to this is bitcoin dips are interpreted into panic selling in the altcoin market which is very aggressive to real investors hoping to see green  :'(

Something to be kept in mind is that, a coin with a smaller marketcap is likely to have more volatility. Since, BTC and ETH has largest market share, they tend to move less than currencies with smaller market cap. You would have seen some newly listed coin with marketcap of less $500k going to down as far as 80% in this recent correction. It goes same for bull phase, if BTC price gets double, the small volume coin can give as high as 10x returns. So yeah, coins with high volume are less risky but ROI is comparatively les than small cap coins.

Let's hope bitcoin will also pump its value so that we'll be seeing altcoins price to pump. Incoming pump is still dependent on how bitcoin behaves and performs in the market right now. Yes, you can say as market cap is increasing but Bitcoin price is not increasing at that same pace which indicates that money is following into altcoin. In such conditions, low caps altcoin get profited and are easily pumped by investors which gives them chance to rise. This could be the best time to sell your low market cap altcoin as they may fall again if bitcoin prices increases rapidly.

For me the movement of price increase of altcoin are depend also in bitcoin price movement. If bitcoin will continue on price fall the pump of altcoins are so disappointing.

Not only the price of BTC,ETH increases ,if those two are in the green and the trend will likely continue on the rest of trusted altcoins.If you investing in altcoin ,you must check it whitepaper and team.Because some of shit altcoin available in the market.If you get into the trusted altcoin at earlier stage ,you will gain a lot.

I agree with those who believe that altcoins are growing or falling after bitcoin. While the global trend is just "going to the BTC".
Just because bitcoin takes 40% of the total market capitalization. However, already now in the first 30th altcoins there are altcoins that grow or fall by themselves , without binding to bitcoin, but for now this is only the beginning and we need to focus more on ETH,NEO or other platforms.

Bitcoin holding above important $6K price support level is good but still need to start going up towards $10K and higher to turn market back to bullish. Altcoins will follow Bitcoin and Ethereum higher.

i dont think in this year, cryptocurrencies will rise as much as last year, we had been through a wonderful year of 2017. so of course it will drop in this year, not thing can rise all the time, and i was right, cryptos drop terribly this year and may keep dropping until the end of this year, and we all see, so the pumps does happen but it rise very slow but the dumps very strongs making the price drops slowly days by days.

Many experts are said last six months is more supporting in Crypto platform so next month we should expect bull run and altcoin pump is depends on Bitcoin hype at the same time altcoin project worth and potential is must for the pumping. This year some up and down is possible so we should accept the current trend then only we will survive in long term.

i see there are some altcoins being pumped at this moment, but at most i see only about 200%. and i have not seen anything more than that. when the market conditions are not good, i think it's pretty good, though not as good as in 2017

For me most of first ten coins will follow bitcoin, thanks to that more and more coins will be following "first" coins trend and market will be recovering, slowly but will be doing so.

There may not be much price movement in prices of altcoins until people there are enough reason to think that the market will not plunge further.Most people take refuge in ETH and BTC during a market crash.

Bitcoins and Ether are market leaders in cryptocurrency and their movement really affect all altcoins. Though they both bitcoin and Ether may be in green but other altcoins in red will be warming up to turn green. So it shouldn't be surprise to see altcoins still red while bitcoin is green.

If the trend will change, it wil not change in the short term for me, it can be a sharp altcoin rise. Trend reversal but is not possible much  :)

Big chance of Bitcoin making a jump in price coming weeks in nu opinion. Alts will join since lot of Them are at support levels right now.

who knows. this time bearish trend really took so long. If i am not wrong it is 6th month that almost everything is dropping usdwise in crypto market. i think and hope we are around at the end of this bearish season.

I find this two statements of yours very contrast to each other.
You can not say altcoins follow bitcoin prices if you will say altcoins are used as an alternative coin for bitcoins.

I say when bitcoins are experiencing problems, there is a possibility that a specific alt can be used to trade, mine or something like that wherein it can pump by itself.

If am to be asked about prices, Alts define themselves and not by biitcoin. They do not depend on bitcoin, they earn their own popularity.

Two weeks latter we see Bitcoin at about 10% lover as it was at time of your post and most of other coins from 10-20 lower.   IT seems Monero was safe heaven in last 2 weeks since he gained few % of value while all the rest of crypto and shitcoins were losing steadily. I do believe that will continue, since shitcoins that have no use have no bottom and will keep sinking. Coins that have use will all already found bottom.

All coins now are in red and another weekend is coming so why is this happening all of these weekends?

To many red in this years for almost all of cryptocurrency, but when we compared at the q1 2017 price it is still good growth. Honestly I think to many crazy pump at the end of last year till January 2018, that will only make huge price correction too and now that's is happen. The price of it are still good deal right now, still have many times to make improvements.

Maybe its just coincidence, and not related to market trend at all. The market is in bloody red again, after a good run during weekdays. I see this trend mostly at the end of the month. July is coming, maybe this is the start of pumping days, hopefully the market will stop from dumping now.

My opinion it is your time to buy altcoin but not for long term , you should observe it not all altcoin good for invest only little can rise high.

If there's a good increasing price on bitcoin, Its time to experience a profitable price of all altcoins. Every crypto was still in reference with bitcoin, and this economy of decentralized currency trading could be successful due to bitcoin's influence with respect to price development.

Pump will come soon as we all expecting for that, but doesn't know exactly when it happen. I know people are getting burn already for a long wait and they might be impatient right now. We have already experiencing a dump again and it somewhat be a last drop happen. Rise will be the next, hoping it play next month.

Yes, altcoins are likely to be pumped as well. There are coins that will be left behind but bitcoin and ethereum will rise so those altcoins that has impressive volume will follow the uptrend.
That's a late news and it was listed there already. And you know what there's an altcoin that's salty about ETC getting listed to coinbase.

The cryptocurrency market is diverse and gives the opportunity to use this mechanism for their own purposes. When bitcoin is growing, it pulls the price of all altcoins, so it was and will continue.

Altcoins investors have to take some patience and hold in other to be able to take profits in future.  I have some friends that bought ripple at $3.6 but now they are still hold and with the hope that things are going to turn around in future.

I think that altcoins have bigger chances for greater profits than Bitcoin or Ethereum. Personally, I keep the entire deposit in top altcoyins and I hope that they will bring me a big profit

Crpytocurrency has a bit unpredictable pattern of movement as you can see. A year ago a pattern "during BTC rising and falling - Alts did bleed, when BTC run flat - they rose" - was legit.
During January events Alts acted the same as Bitcoin but with certain differences of course.
Now it is totally unpredictable for me. ???

That's not how it works always, bitcoin pumps then the rest of the altcoins follows? nope, there's time the bitcoin the price of bitcoin increase the opposite happens to the majority of the altcoins and ICO tokens, there's an instance that the price of bitcoin drops but some altcoins increase due to some factors, news and events that influence their position and volume from the market.

In this market, this thing is very hard to happen. Altcoins in the bloddy bath. Bitcoin ethereum etc so top coins maybe will pump not altcoins. After the bitcoin pumping, altcoins will follow the bitcoin and pump itselves. We saw last year on october and after that would came the big rising. We should again and hope to come big rising again.

For me it is connected somehow with altcoin pump, if bitcoin will start to rise like to price of 10k there are lot of chances that alts will just follow it.

I do not think that it will come that fast, for me we could speculate that we will be able to see some rise in this year but we will need to wait for it some more weeks or months.

After taking a look at crypto market at the moment, I don't think so. LOL. It's even worse than before :). I don't know why the whales keep dumping whole crypto market like this, if they keep doing like this for a little bit more, so many investors and traders will leave this world and they'll not have any source left to cheat anymore. What the altcoins pump in the coming time is inevitable when the current exchange rate has reached the bottom. IMO, altcoins and the whole of the market will rebind in Q4 2018, predicting BTC will rise to $ 20,000 and ETH will rise to $ 1,200. So that you should invest in cryptos at the moment and hold until the end of 2018.

Absolutely your correct after the good sign of green pump of bitcoin and altcoin last few week now bitcoin and altcoin are already red due to more and more correction but hoping this coming bear month the bitcoin and altcoin become better iheir stautus in the coinmarketcap even not too hit expensive value like last year 2017 7000$ to 8000& pump is enough than nothing.

altcoins has no specific time for it to have a good value in the market because there many alts that are red in the market at the same time there are many alts that are green.

In my own opinion, I think the time we will begin to have altcoin ump is when the price of bitcoin is stable or when the bull run start but I believe the bull market will start soon so that the price of coin can rise.
