today June 22, 2018, the price of bitcoin again collapses dragging all the other cryptocurrencies, again we are in red, until when it will keep falling?

Just like Silver which was $80/ounce in 1980. Bitcoin has been declared a speculative asset. I see 10% people worldwide using Bitcoin after 20 years.

people are comparing this bear market to the one in 2014 which lasted more than a year
but I think we should see the bottom and a reversal towards the end of this year

As you can see in the market today, I would say that btc is now falling because of the  resistance that is hampering the growth of btc. However, this may seem to be temporary where it may be back on track on the coming months. For those have btc, just hold for good and wait until the btc market will recover.

In my own opinion, I think the drop of price will be long, because it will have a domino effect since a lot of people are panic selling. I can say that bitcoin has been volatile this year, so it's really hard to predict when will it go up or go down, and also some people started doubting bitcoin, because most of the spikes are downward.

For me, I don't know how long will it continue to fall but I hope that the falling down of bitcoin market price will stop. I can't predict the future but I guess that it will turn green in the third quarter of this year. I hope my prediction will come true.

The bitcoin will keep falling because most of people are affected by bad news before, but i think there nothing to worry because bitcoin still exist and the trading activity keep happening. When the new investors are joining, it will be time to bitcoin begin its recover.

Bitcoin keeps falling and we do not know when it can go upward it's price. So we do not really when it will the time to keeps falling. No one knows where it really heading so hoping their is good output for the past months it was down.

The price is fine. It is the valuation of their utility. It will go up when it is used more or go down if it's not. As far as alt-coins being "dragged down" by bitcoin. That is completely backwards. Alts have no value other than what they can garner from bitcoin. So bitcoin is the only thing dragging them up at all. When bitcoin falls they have no support.

This is the another market correction cause bithumb hacked, this condition are similar like few weeks agoo where coinrail was hacked almost the same amount as bithumb right now ( 30M$). I think we already reach the bottom right now.

yeah.. i see it on the news also. this mean a bad market will continue to goes to worst. hacker has successfull still over 30million dollar and that surely push bitcoin to the ground.. i hate this bad thingy thing over the market now. now im not sure will new investors will trust with cryptos again.

I’m a little surprised that the price of Bitcoin and most of the altcoins keeps falling. The one positive is that we can keep buying and we are getting cheap coins. I’m going to have to go ahead and buy more at these prices.

At some point we have to see a recovery and we’ll be glad we bought in so low. The key is to dollar cost average so you can keep buying a little at the time.

i think bitcoin will down to $5000, because there is so much bad news about bitcoin rightnow, example is like Bithumb exchange that get hacked, news like this will affect bitcoin price, and people trust about bitcoin will down, and i hope bitcoin will recover again.

Some say this year low will be 6k and 60k at highest.

Tbh, I don't know how long will bitcoin keep falling. But there are already some speculations that it will be a bear market for this year. But ofcourse we are still hoping for the best. I still believe that bitcoin would diaappoint us in due time. Let's juat wait.

looking at the chart, we can easily interpret the movement of bitcoin's price. As we see, there is just small increases but we almost see dumps. I think it will still go down by the next few months so I currently stopped putting my funds into bitcoin. I prefer hodling in ethereum now because it is better in bitcoin in terms of pumps. I hope these Christmas holiday season, it will come back to its peak and that way, we can conclude that it rises up during that season.

Yeah, it is still decreasing until now and I am a little bit disappointed with bitcoin. Yes I think it will be keep falling if bitcoin break 6000k resistance. But we have to look at other side of pic also…no one knows the turning point of this falling graph but its sure we will see green market, so I think it’s better time to buy coin at low price.

I am not sure but if Bitcoin goes below the price of $6000 then we might see a bigger dip as it has shown us in the history that if it breaks it's support level then it drops further down and shows us a bigger red candle. Right now all we can hope is that it should not go below $6000 . Bitcoin has been in a bearish moment for a long time now and I don't know why are we seeing this sip right now. There are several negative news in the market right now. May be it's because of any of the individual news or may be all of the negatives news created a bigger impact on BTC.

The prediction of coin market or stock market is very difficult. But this type of market may behave like this. When this type of market arise, the people started to sell their asset. The price of bitcoin in June 2017 was around 2500 USD.  And in July 2017 it was around 3000 USD. But the price of bitcoin today is still handsome. I have started to doubt this because I have heard it many times and they all say "Bitcoin will soon rise" and "wait for a few more months for Bitcoin to recover" but we see the bit again today. Bitecoin fall sharply.

it is the altcoin dumps that is dragging bitcoin down. specially the big ones like ETH.

recently we have had a lot of drama about ICOs which is t he livelihood of ethereum. with SEC banning them and famous people like McAfee stopping to have anything to do with ICOs they are losing their hype and when that happens ETH gets dumped hard and it takes bitcoin down.

Though the price of bitcoin has fall sharply but it don't mean it will continue to fall. It will bounce back to 6700 again by next week.

That's mostly correct, because dumps of altcoins that aren't being traded for fiat currencies and have to go through Bitcoin instead can influence its value. That said, huge altcoins like ETH are widely traded for fiat, so the influence is miniscule.
I'd say that the main factor are news and there's a rule that in a bear market the power of negative news is multiplied (it's the same with positive news in the bull market).
2 big exchanges were recently hacked, so there's enough negativity to scare people off. Also, miners are running below profitability, just like they did in 2015.

Yes I agree on that. I think we need to grab this big opportunity for us to gain a huge amount of profit in the near future. No, according to data analysis at 6k is conservative zone and more support at this price. yes the 6000 is the "psychological" support level. I do not believe the market will continue to slip past this price level for the general trend. I will buy at 6k for commercial. 8)

From my perspective the price will go to 4K. I think it will take about two or three months. But as we all know the price is very unpredictable who knows next week it can be over 10K. Lets just see what happen. A lot of people are waiting for the minimum I guess.

Bitcoin is a very volatile commodity and at that no one can predict what will happen to the Price in future either it will keep falling or it will recover at some stage, bitcoin price has keep falling in the days past and at that since bitcoin is the dominant crypto in market it price will determined the price of other coins in the market.

The market pattern seems to be lost in TA patterns but follows TA trendlines. I hope it doesn't go lower than $6000, because if it does it would be looking for $5000 support. $6k looks strong to me, let's hope the price holds at $6k.

Sigh, oh my gosh, another -10 to -20% now it is going to take forever to make a profit now in trading especially some of the altcoins.  Investors appear so unconfident now.  As much as I have been burned by the SEC in the stock market, the happiest day in Cryptocurrency will be when they give it the "ok" for institutional investors to buy.  I heard this news back in March. It's been 4 months now.  I regret watching that news from Palm beach research group youtube video because my plan before that was to flip the major coins.

Since bitcoin cannot keep rising I don't think it can keep falling.  This cryptocurrencies market is all about up and down and we should know that the opportunity is there for us to buy when bitcoin is falling and sell when it rise again. I also believe that the future of cryptocurrencies is very bright and there is no need we should think that it is not going to rise again.

Of course bitcoin is not stable so its normal that its price is turning ups and down. That is not new for us here in bitcointalk forum. Do not panic and wait until the price is rise again. There is a reason why the bitcoin is falling again after it rise a few days ago. Well, when it comes the time like this just hold your bitcoin or maybe you could invest it or buy bitcoin when its a low price.

Can't tell when but it will have a strong pump after these. Is just for us to keep patience and never take these dip as a big deal, it happens several times already and I may think that we are all aware of that. It is actually a long and  hard test for us to determined who can take the risk.

I do think that many people are waiting in the $5k level but then it might not reach it or if more whales are willing to drive the value to that price then I think it would happen. Looking at the charts, those who short the market is slowly dwindling down so maybe they cannot push the price lower anymore. In the news, positive news appeared more than negative news so maybe its the last straw when they were able to push the price down below $6k level but went back up so it might be the start of a new bull run. I hope so.

Yeah fluctuations make everything possible and this will be unpredictable, you can do the analysis if marketcap and volume start to enlarge, the price is likely to rise slightly, if you volume decreases, it could be the price will decrease again, that's just my opinion alone, you can do your own analysis

No it does not look like it will fall any more because it is already at a low point in time. All the investors who have purchased their coins when the price was high are holding and waiting till the market recovers. This is irrelevant about the Bitcoin because we have been noticing it recover many times since its inception. Now we are in the stage of unfavorable conditions and this is due to the low demand rate, we can not say that the market can not drop further. All we need in these situations is to invest with more amount and big investments will activate the market in the increase direction.

I dont think bitcoin's market value will keep falling. As we all know that btc has a great potential to recover and will go bullish due to its high price increase and high demands in the future. Though bitcoin's market value had gone dipped for the past days, but it had already regained it strength for now, bitcoin is gradually recovering.

There are few things which will fix the price of Bitcoin and demand and supply is one of the major parameter for it. we really do not have to worry about lowering bitcoin value where its downturn this year but I've read in forums so many analysts say that there is good bitcoin price news as they say prediction could hit 20k according to co-founder.

The exchange hack is not the actula reason for that price fall becuase the oe who hacked the funds will sell out later so it will keep the market as always but it created some impact that negativity about bitcoin which created the price to falls,we call it as panic selling.

Market today is green and there is increase of about $100 in the price. I think it is the lowest price for bitcoin and now it will grow again and I think it will hit $10k atleast till the end of this year. It does not matter what you think for if you are thinking that it will fall forever then you are wrong. Look at the past situations when the price dropped a lot to 3k dollar and many more downfalls like this so after those down falls the price recovered and investors of that time got their profits. Not resally pump, but it will recover or bounce from support. Like now. Btc just had a good bounce and is valued at around 6.6k from almost 6k. An effect of volatility so it will not continously drop.

In this year the price of bitcoin had been falling from $20000 to $6000 all the way but after that it has good resistance at the level even after the many dumps and bumps so this looks suspicious for me.

I think the price of BTC is consoliating. After a few more months, the price will rise again.
