taxes, regulations, bans - where in the world is the best place for bitcoin users?
Such a place should also have easy access to the Internet, Bitcoin Exchanges, maybe Bitcoin ATMs (that would be nice :) ).

Any suggestions? :) I want to find out the most Bitcoin friendly country :)

Japan has the highest Bitcoin taxes by a mile, the US has the silliest having to log every single trade or bit of Amazon tat bought for tax purposes.

At this stage it's more about saving tax than usage. Usage everywhere is pretty sketchy.

The Netherlands has lots of Bitcoin usage, access to SEPA exchanges and capital gains on crypto is tiny, less than 2% I think. And of course Germany has none if you hold for more than a year.

I highly recommended japan, because their country economy is rich, and not just that rich in terms of money, but rich in many aspects, just like rich in smart mind, rich in discipline, rich in many terms.  U.S, and Korea is also good to go when you're bitcoiner, but japan is the best country because japan is advanced in technology among other countries.

I think Russia is the friendliest country for the bitcoins. The country's government is already trying to implement it in all areas of activity and I think this is a very good place for development in this area.

The most bitcoin friendly nation still remain the developing countries of the world, for example African countries. They neither ban nor make it legal but the uses of bitcoin is well acceptable without restriction.You can easily found a place in the major cities of these countries where you can do exchange, transact business and so on.

I advise for regular life to choose the city of Manila in the Philippines. Many blockchain conferences are held in this country. They have loyal legislation in relation to cryptocurrency

With Bitcoin you can live anywhere you have Internet.
Of course, if you have a large amount of Bitcoin, living where is extremely important!

Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand are the countries that receive payments with bitcoin. Yes, as a Filipino I promote our country for every bitcoiner cause here in Philippines people here are very friendly  and cryptocurrency are accepted here and many blockchain conference are held in this country, and I know Filipino bitcoiner are hospitable.

If we are told to choose a country with a convenient place and easy to access bitcoin with Internet connection and good bitcoin equipment I think is the country of Japan.

I think the best place for cryptocurrency traders or investors will be japan. We all know how open is japan government  about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin.  They even approved lots of exchange this year and recognized cryptocurrency as legal means of payment or legal tender. Japan also leading the trading volume in bitcoin and there are already places in japan that accepts bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment. So I think this is a perfect place for crypto enthusiasts.

Maybe there are still many countries that have not applied tax for bitcoin users in my country for example, and my country in Indonesia even though the government is still busy with state affairs so all users still enjoy the results of their income as they search bitcoin.

I would say that the most firndly country is Swistzerland .

I have red only good things about their increased adoption of crypto.
Afterall this is their busisnes in general , they want your gold, silver , fiat and crypto also.

But there is a downside, it is bloody expensive country. So you could be better of in other EU country.

In Europe I would say this is Netherlands. They were among first countries to have positive attitude toward Bitcoin and embrace cryptocurrencies in general like something good and progressive. Along with Netherlands another good choice would be Switzerland.
Outside Europe this would be Japan that has regulated Bitcoin in very positive way and as a very technological and progressive country they are opened for many options.

The best bitcoin-friendly country maybe Japan. In Japan, people can use bitcoin publicly and even there has bitcoin ATM Booth. And South Korea, Iceland,  Switzerland are good too. Maybe India will be another one if the government accept it without regulation.

I suppose it is advantageous to live in Malta, Japan, and Australia. But for most people in the world, they will simply have to abide by the less favorable tax and other regulations. I think eventually bitcoin will be embraced globally.

Until now I think bitcoin still has great potential for the world community, and I also feel that Japan is a country friendly to cryptocurrency or bitcoin.

For the best place in bitcoin world I think it is a country with an advanced economy, and I think the United States is a good country for bitcoin.

I think Japan is the perfect place that you're looking for, because there already lots of malls and stores in Japan that are accepting bitcoin as a method of payment and there are also some companies that already paying bitcoins as salary for their workers.

I believe there is no best place, because bitcoin was designed as a global currency fit for all countries and by all countries. It is also edging it's way to being more like a space currency because humans are making so many strides towards colonizing outer-space environments.

Currently, since we are still in the early phases of switching everything over this new way of exchanging money, possibly an easier place to do everything is outside of this ordinary internet by using only encrypted and difficult to trace methods, like Tor.

obviously the most bitcoin-friendly place is Switzerland anyone who owns bitcoin can easily survive on bitcoin in the Switzerland without any problems.

In my country I did not experienced any problems between government and the bitcoin user. I think if you want to know the best safe what country if you are bitcoiner is the country of USA or America because I did not any problems related to bitcoin and I think this country is one of the most user and investor of the bitcoin.

I feel usa and japan is the best place to live with bitcoin, its legal to use Bitcoin there also look into australia and switzerland a bit more, they are bitcoin friendly too.

So those are the countries that are Bitcoin friendly, well those countries are all great and seems interesting for me to go. But as far as I have read here in the thread, most people are choosing the Switzerland as the best country for them. But Japan also caught my interest since it is been a dream for me to go there, but if Switzerland will let me live with Bitcoin without any problems then I will go for it too, since most Bitcoiners prefer this place.

The best country for the development of the crypto-currency business is the Philippines, in my opinion. The Central Bank of the Philippines, which officially regulates the local Bitcoin Exchange, as the money transfer companies, has recognized Bitcoin as the legal way of payment. Also it should be said about the exponential growth of Bitcoin inside the country, so the monthly volumes of Bitcoin increased from $1 million to $6 million per year.

I think Japan, US,Korea ,Russia and Netherlands would be the best place for bitcoiners .Easily accessible for conversion and also easy access to bitcoin atms.I feel even many countries would join this club and make btc even more popular and widely acceptable as well globally. There is somehow a recognition (in a positive way, though still there is warning) from the government and quite a number of establishments that formally accept bitcoin as payments. Sucks that internet here is quite a damage with its price and speed compared to other countries.

I would say that Japan is quite the option as well, it is technologically sound and it is not that remote with the fact that cryptocurrencies may be fully recognized and used.

The best to live is in italy, because the money exchanger there is very high. Or even in USA and RUSSIA because they are the top richest country in the world.

The good thing is that, Philippines is not banning bitcoin and its really convenient to use cryptos here, we are still in a adopting process but soon we will be one of a great place for crypto. Yes, japan is better to go if you're a bitcoiner, because in japan, bitcoin is legalize by their government and i believe that japan is the most advance in technology. Come to the Philippines, we are not crypto enemy but a crypto lover. There are lot of scam came out just recently but the country is still in positive views about crypto currency. Some banks and even economics zone are talking about accepting crypto currency.

I think Canada is the very friendly country for the bitcoiners, government of Canada is trying to implement of activity so I think Canada is a very good place to live.

as far as I know you can't use bitcoin as payment method in Indonesia because the government of Indonesia prohibit it, in Indonesia you can only use bitcoin as an asset and because of that situation I am not sure there is ATM bitcoin in Indonesia. I think Philippines is the best place for crypto users.

In indonesia you can have fast internet with cheap price with bitcoin exchange to fiat with instant process. but there are only a few machine atm there. and bitcoin prices there as well as korea and china. prices are often 1-10% more expensive than the global market.

If I have to choose, Japan and Korea will be the best option, not only in terms of Crypto acceptance but the country itself. Since most of us are looking forward to have peace and happy life, i think these countries will suits us best.

I would like to live in countries where Bitcoin and crypto regulation is actively developed, like US, Japan, and Korea. There isn't a perfect country right now as we're in a storming phase of crypto regulation. Only a small of country are willing to try to regulate crypto. For example, in Indonesia, the government has not taken any measures yet against crypto. They just simply state that crypto is not a legal acceptable currency. There's no regulation how to tax it, what it's classified as, etc.

I don't know the best, but this places can be your paradise when it comes to bitcoin. Russia, Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, US, Canada and EU Countries. In those countries, I've heard good news about bitcoin and I wish to go one of that place in the future.

I'm from Indonesia, and I think Indonesia is friendly for bitcoin or another cryptocurrency. you can access the internet easily and you can trading in any exchange. living in Indonesia takes a very low cost, so you can earn more money.

I would have lived in Japan if I were given a choice to live in a crypto related country as Japan is very friendly to every new technology as they welcome new changes and are very technologically advanced as most of the Japanese homes are having better technology as of other Asian homes.

If I remember correctly, your country has accepted Bitcoin in the past. You are lucky to be living in Indonesia. It is a rich country because your government knows how to choose the opportunity to develop the country

I always dream to live in South Korea. I so love the place and aside from that I like their culture and the way they live. I also like living in Japan, when I was a kid I remember my mom always wants me to go to Japan. But most important I want a place to live where Bitcoin is acceptable.

Many suggestions here are including Germany, Japan, South Korea or Switzerland as those countries are known for their positive attitude towards cryptocurrency. From that point of view Germany and Japan do not looks as some crypto-friendly countries, especially Japan with its high taxes and very costly living expenses.

I have info that some interesting things also happens in Croatia regarding crypto-exchanges, they open few physical exchanges where you just walk and buy/sell BTC, by what I heard there is no need for any ID if you sell crypto up to some 2000 euros per transaction.

Japan is the country which encourage the crypto currency most . There are many shop and ATM for BTC. So no such hard rules so one can enjoy crypto currency there.

I'd still consider Switzerland ahead of every other place because i can spoend my bitcoins or sell them into fiats and still live on them without being snooped  by the government about the sources of my wealth so i think Switzerland is ideal to me.

Well, I think the best place to live if you are a Bitcoiner is in the place where bitcoin is accepted and many stores are accept it as a mode of payment just like in South Korea, I know some Mall stores there are starting to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment. First of all you can live anywhere ,all you need is just internet. But if we talk about the best place to live , so i suggest a Bitcoiner to live in USA or Japan. USA is chosen as best place because there are large number of bitcoin ATM's in US. Secondly Japan is chosen as best place because the thinking of Japan's government is very wide regarding crypto currencies especially Bitcoins .Moreover Bitcoin is the legal tender in Japan i.e you can make payments in crypto currencies easily.

Estonia and united states I think a country that is very open with technology. for the Asian state, I think Thailand can be a suitable choice because some time ago Thailand opened itself to bitcoin and cryptocurrency transactions in the tourism section and in the future many parts can adopt bitcoin as a transaction.

I think in developing countries like Philippines because bitcoin can help to progress the economy.Since few people in this country are using it, then why not introduce so that they,too can benefit.

I guess Russia or Ukraine could be good options. They are very cheap to live in and they have great internet. The climate can be a bit harsh though, depending on what you're interested in. The governments are also quite unpredictable they can give you a hard time.

I really enjoyed Mexico. I think it would be a great option. I just check and Bitcoin is legal there. They even have some Bitcoin ATMs. It's a very cheap country. The people there are so kind. The food's delicious. The visa rules are really easy. Citizens of most countries can just live there for 6 months, leave the country and immediately come back for another 6 months with no limit.

I think part of Europe is the best place for bitcoiners because in here bitcoin is legal and there are many investors who really invest in good quality project.

I think Slovenia is very good in this regard. There are many people who love crypto money in the country and many businesses accept payment with Bitcoin.

in my opinion an ideal country does not exist. Judge for yourself, where there are no taxes and bitcoin is not regulated by laws, it will be quite difficult to make cash operations and there will be a high risk of losses. From what I've seen Japan has the most physical stores that accept bitcoin as a payment option.  Trying to pay with bitcoin in most countries is a nightmare. 

It's also very important to move to a country with little or no capital gains tax if you are looking to cash out large amounts of bitcoin.

for now maybe bitcoin is not as fully as you would expect bitcoin will be safe and comfortable in investing, of course it takes legality from the government to be a safe place to invest, of course, in countries that have recognized and formalized bitcoin as the prevailing currency

agree with your opinion. indeed now Japan has agreed that bitcoin is circulating in their country. so in Japan with cryptocurrency there is no problem.

What best place? Is it simply just by the means of ban that's why you're looking for other countries that takes Bitcoin as a payment method? Well Japan has been using quite a lot so there you go for number 1. In my country, the adoption is still limited and there are still few wallets being offered locally in here, although there is one that you can utilize to pay bills (Coins.ph), it isn't that much of a spread out yet so I can't recommend you my country as of now.

Japan, Korea, Venezuela etc. are most bitcoin friendly countries according to reports, you can plan a tour and write blogs about your practical experience :)

Japan, Denmark, Russia, South Korea and Finland are countries that have legalized Bitcoin currencies, so many business businesses are using Bitcoin officially from the government, and in my opinion those five countries are the best places for Bitcoin to grow more great again.

I would say a  cold place and with a very low bill electricity would be a good place to live. Tax free would be more nice. My place already a good place to live so i wouldnt mind to stay here cause it a good place to mine bitcoin as it almost five time cheap from living in usa..

IMO, Japan, Switzerland, Singapore and Australia are Bitcoin friendly countries. There are Bitcoin atm and the governments are positive about crypto.

However, Singapore seems to be the country with the lowest tax at 17%.

I have heard Switzerland is extremely friendly to crypto currencies. They also have "Crypto Valley", a small town filled with companies that are crypto enthusiasts (some what similar to Silicon Valley).  They have business friendly crypto laws. According to me, Australia looks quite a good place for Bitcoiner. Australian government supports cryptocurrency. As well there are bitcoin ATM's are available. So if you looking for all crypto friendly environment then Australia is the best place for Bitcoiner.

According to US,South Korea and Russia to some extent. In Arab States I think Islamabad and countries like nigeria ,Keniya and few places where money is more and people are younger.

In my opinion, I think the best places to live if you are a bitcoiner is the places where bitcoin or other coins are welcome. The places where the cryptocurrency is being accepted whole heartedly. Also, the place where bitcoin is on high such as U.S, Japan, and Korea. In our country, the usage of Bitcoin is not yet legalized but it the government doesn't prohibit its citizens to use this technology and actually, they approved some exchanges to operate in here. I think CANADA would be the best place as they don't have any regulations on Bitcoin as well as there is easy access to internet, banks and so on. You can easily mine Bitcoins in some regions of CANADA. There may be more interesting countries too but i suggest CANADA.

in my opinion the most friendly country with bitcoin is the United States. because in this country the number of cryptocurrency users is highest and also has a high trading volume. and the highest number of bitcoin ATMs is there. The United States is a rich, strong country and its people have an open mind and accept new things like bitcoin. so it's natural that bitcoin can grow rapidly in the United States.
and the second country is Japan. in April 2017 Japan accepted bitcoin as a legal currency. and the Japanese Big Camera company also claimed to accept bitcoin as a payment tool.

If what you're looking for is for the capability of using your bitcoin almost everywhere probably the best place to live is Japan where there are many stores accepting bitcoin directly, the only problem obviously is that Japan is an expensive country to live but if you already live in a first world country then there should not be a huge difference between the cost of living in Japan and the cost of where you live.

The best place to live if you are a bitcoiner is a certain country or place where it is not regulated and not banned and it is accepted by the government and community as it is. A place where most of the people use it and that stores are accepting it as payments and that companies are involved with it.

I think the best place or country to live if you are a bitcoiner is Japan and USA. All we know Japan is the most progressive country in terms of technology so I guess that Japan can easily innovate their system and make bitcoin uses and bitcoin's acceptance in every company and stores and also in USA I think this will be the greatest place to live if you are a bitcoin lover. Because all we know the power of that country and this is the richest country that I know and another advantage is more people are open minded in dealing and investing in any business like cryptocurrency so you will always have a market.

I think the best place ive visited on the bitcoin tour is Ginza, Tokyo. Japan can lay claim to being the world’s most bitcoin-ready country, with thousands of stores accepting the digital currency and a string of bitcoin ATMs to be found within major metropolises.

I don't think there's a county that will be more comfortable for bitcoin and cryptocurrency  enthusiast in general like that of Japan, it a country that accept crypto in full and above all that's the country the founder of bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto originated from. They are technolocially advanced so I don't believe we lack anything there as Crypto Enthusiast

Please don't make people get the wrong idea about Indonesia. It is not a good place for Bitcoiner. Even tho it is not the worst place to be (as a Bitcoiner), it is still not a decent place.
Firstly, they have a fair internet connection compared to every other country in the world. Secondly, it has a rather expensive electricity fee. The "best place to live" we're talking about here certainly needs to have a cheap electricity for Bitcoin mining. Indonesia on the other hand, don't meet the requirement. Lastly, most of the people in Indonesia still have a skeptical thought about Bitcoin, not to mention those who clearly hate it.
All in all, it is just not the best place to be as a Bitcoiner.

The United States, Canada, Australia, European Union, China ,Russia ,Vietnam ,Bolivia , Columbia and Ecuador these are the best places for bitcoiners. :)

For me the Philippines is still the best for tourists and who want to be island hoping because it has many islands around it. and beaches beside your house so that you ca live for good also internet is not a issue, many other hotels that you can use the internet for bitcoin.

The Philippines is a simple way of living here especially in the province.

I like live in Ukraine, but I think it would be most safe to live on Maltese or Singapore.

If I'm not mistaken Sweden and Republic of Malta are the best countries to live in if you want to try to implement bitcoin to the maximum exponent, there are few regulations and most businesses have enough economic freedom, so you can easily do business with bitcoin.

I think Russia, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, there are no restrictions placed on bitcoin in all these countries as it is supported by their government and you also have access to electricity and good internet connections.

I wouldn't say Vietnam is a good place for Bitcoiners - the central bank and the government have announced a ban on as payment for anything last year. Vietnam's government is just like China's, both permit private enterprise but remains single-party communist countries. They demand control in everything, so it very unlikely for cryptocurrencies to earn a place here.

Well the best place for the bitcoiner I think is the Philippine because the Bitcoin in that county is accepted that means there is nothing to worry about banning the bitcoin. The best place to live is to developed countries where Bitcoin is highly-established and widely-accepted. A place where people are aware and value this said technology and where government does not restrict and is not against Bitcoin's existence. Countries like Vietnam, Canada, European Union, and Australia. Countries who are most open to block-chain technology, will have an opportunity of a lifetime.
