Hi everyone, I found a service announcement of new wallet platform few days ago in our forum.
Their introduction and vision stated in the post seems to be great and it also attracts me a lot.
However, I still wonder whether I can trust that new wallet.
Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet or they can never stole any coin because they just provide wallet service only?

Please help me if you have experience in this field. Thank you.

Have you tried to send email to support of bitbibe.io? Beside what coin did you sent to this new wallet? Why don't you use old wallet? Sometime new wallet is not well as old one :).

Hope that you can take your cryptocurrency back and this will be a really expensive lesson for you :). Before transferring you should check to see if they can store cryptocurrecy which you're going to transfer first. That's all :)

The rule for any coin is that if anybody else gets access to your private key(s) can steal your money.
The private key is the "thing" that makes the blockchain recognize the rightful owner of the money and will allow the user to spend.
Like almost everything in IT, the private key can be copied and both you and the "hacker" will have the key. The first one that spend the money "wins".

Now, a wallet normally has access to the private keys to allow you to spend. If the ones that have built the wallet had bad intentions, the private keys will be sent over the internet to them.
That's why I recommend only wallets with source code people can review, wallets already proven to be legit.

Think of it like post boxes public keys are the number box it is and private keys open the box, each box number is different each private key is different.

They might be a total scam wallet which takes any coin deposited.
They might have a poor security resulting in loss of your coin.
They might not be secure and it might be easier to phis your private keys.

I also agree with your suggestion because choosing a wrong wallet cam make you loose your token and it might even be a way to disclose your private key to hackers, be very sure that the wallet is a good one before you decide to keep your funds in it and keep your private key.

I would suggest you to stick with the original and authentic wallets, most of new or unknown wallets that pop up seem to have trouble operating with different coins/ tokens also they can close their service anytime due to no or low profit so stick to the right wallets only.

There are few rules to follow when it comes to wallets. Try not to download a wallet by searching on Google. As many wallets are malwares and are going to steal your coins. Only download wallets from the official website. And also try to avoid wallets which are new or still in the beta phase.

I would like to know if the wallet is widely being used by people or is just a total new wallet? If it is a new wallet, kindly check the cons and pros before you decide to use it. it is possible. most important thing is the computer you use. it should be totally clean, not infected by anything like virus or any trojan. you shouldnt connect to public wifi lines with that computer too.

I think this question is bizarre, because as a trader, you need to read through every information of every exchange site before venturing into.
For Huobi,hitbtc, and some other exchange sites once you send a token to the wrong wallet, that is the end of such token, if you send below minimum value required that is the end of such token.

For me try to get hard wallet if those tokens of yours are supported by it, but the issue with Hard wallet is that most of these new blockchains are not on it, even some wallet do contain viruses that would still information from your system

I didn't choose the wallet in the rank or something. As I came to invest ad earn money here I started using the blockchain and coinbase wallet. I did not find the any issues with them. I have all my fund still safe.
If you want to keep your money safe go with recommended wallet like bitcoincore, mycelium, blockchain, electrum and coinbase. You can your own favourite wallet.

The main part of our wallet is Private Key, if you secure it safely then nobody can take your coins. Just choose that wallet which are trusted, open source and secured by private key. Otherwise, there are many phising wallet without private key. Also, when save your Private key- always remove their last or first 3 digit and note them at your mind or on paper note. So that if someone get your key, it is useless for that!

And if you want to take the risk and download a wallet from an unknown source I would recommend doing it from a VM or a machine where you don't story any access information to your coins and any exchange accounts.

I heard some news before that there is a wallet that was hacked I mean not just a wallet but like a network and the private keys of everybody who is using the said wallet were extracted. I never heard of that wallet before and I would not risk my funds to a wallet that was just recently created. New created wallets will still pass on trials and errors stage so I don't wanted to be a victim of that errors when something bad happen to that said wallet. As long as the private key does not leak, you should not lose token! But I still don't recommend you to attempt any of new wallet, because new wallet is not necessarily better than old one, such as performance, stability, features, and user experience,etc.  why gamble?

I did it several times. Sometimes trusting an unknow web wallet and mostly by missing my private keys or wallet seed words.
I now prefer to keep my coins mostly on exchanges and dedicated wallets whose private keys I control, my private keys are manually distorted, ciphered, written in a notepad and changed the format to that of a video and uploaded in some safe places. Well I exposed it.

Yes if you're not carefully reading the instructions. There are many reasons why many tokens are being steal because they loss or give their private keys to others.

For me, nothing wallets is safe now because those hackers and scammers do there all tactics to hack or scam such wallets, so dont open or view always websites in what wallet your holding to avoid visibility to the hackers.     I recommend that you use more wallets that you can download to your PC. I do not really trust the security of my wallets. I think they are much safer and have a much better security installed wallets.

I think you should not use this new wallets because not many people know about it and you can lose your coin. Why do not you use the old wallet? I think it's still good to store coins   .

Please be sure the wallet is secured and guaranteed before you start using because some could be scam to steal users coins. I would suggest you wait a little and check for its app reviews. If after a while the review is above 4.5, then you could consider to use it because we are talking about we putting assets on the wallet here and one needs to be more careful in that case.

They are related to the legal support and there was no government or SEC that support crypto wallet. this is a joke

You can loose money in any wallet, it easy, now hackers dont know borders! I think the most safe place it hardware wallets.. all cloud wallets not safe

If you mean getting tokens via airdrops&bounties, so you usually need any ERC-20 compatible wallet, like MEW and so on.

-give you private keys
-frequently updated
-hard to hack (web or desktop not so good)

The truth is that cold wallets are safer than hot wallets, but there are two weaknesses when using cold wallets.
1. You can not sell early compared to other people when prices surge

Well, if it is like the MEW or Metamask, I myself will still prefer  these two kinds of wallet. Although they have some negative sides, they have been trusted so far.

Yes many of my friends loose their token when they import their private key in other wallet and that makes me curious if there's a inside job happening to third party wallets. i DO NOT trust new wallets that just came out. you need to wait a little bit for them to be avialable, before trusting them. their source code should be on github in order for everyone to check it and see if there is anything fraudolent in their software. you  never know, they could just be  setting up a big trap to steal all of your beloved cryptocurrencies and tokens. wait and do your research, and trust no one ! no one i say!

I think you can use mew mycrypto or trust wallet for now for ethereum and please dont try any other new wallet. These times there are too many scammers and we can not trust anybody.
If you are giving your private key someone or someplace they can steal your tokens easily.  But only if you want to use that service for like etherscan and only for tracking your tokens in your wallet without entering your private key they can not steal your money.
