If you mean getting tokens via airdrops&bounties, so you usually need any ERC-20 compatible wallet, like MEW and so on.

Yes, it’s very very important to use the right wallet! ideally you want something that:
-give you private keys -frequently updated -hard to hack (web or desktop not so good) -customize transaction fees -strong team and long vision
so based on these criteria, I suggest my fav wallet, Trustwallet! (which even got acquired by Binance!)

Definitely! Choosing the wrong wallet or sending into the wrong one will make you lose your tokens. Specially since most blockchain transactions are irreversible, That is why before sending you are prompted for many times for confirmation before you do something else. Also, you can lose your tokens by getting yourself hacked through your private keys being exposed to hackers. So keep safe mate!

You can loose money in any wallet, it easy, now hackers dont know borders! I think the most safe place it hardware wallets.. all cloud wallets not safe
The truth is that cold wallets are safer than hot wallets, but there are two weaknesses when using cold wallets. 1. You can not sell early compared to other people when prices surge 2. You can lose a cold wallet if you forget it somewhere, this can not happen with hot wallets

Hi everyone, I found a service announcement of new wallet platform few days ago in our forum. Their introduction and vision stated in the post seems to be great and it also attracts me a lot. However, I still wonder whether I can trust that new wallet. Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet or they can never stole any coin because they just provide wallet service only? Please help me if you have experience in this field. Thank you. This is the link to the wallet that I mentioned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4582763.msg41338130#msg41338130I think there may be cases like that, but it mostly involves third party cases like hacking or your e-wallet details being stolen via, for example, enrolling on bogus airdrops, which is actually made just to steal wallet information. I have experienced that latter-mentioned situation happen to a friend when he enrolled in a "scam" airdrop. Therefore, one should really secure his wallet address and make sure that it is kept safe either offline or in a data storage device that is away from the internet. However, most people say that it's better to hold coins in exchange sites rather than e-wallets.

Yes. There are many new wallet launched everyday by scammers there motive is just scam people's so it's better to choose old and trusted wallet.
The correct thoughts that I fully support, now you need to be constantly on check, you need to constantly check the information that comes to you, because there is a lot of deception.

Yes. May be because of there are a lot of phishing wallets try to scam your coins and money. You have to be very careful in choosing a new wallet. If you are looking for a new crypto wallet, be very careful against fraud because scammers are there. We cant afford to lose our hard earned money because of a wallet.

I think it will be safe for you to use the wallet that already chooses and used by many people on here. but if you still want to try that wallet, you need to be careful and only send a small amount and let see what will happen in the next day or week. and if you really want to save your token in another wallet, then you might buy ledger and I think there is a support wallet for the erc-20 tokens so you will secure your tokens.

I don't ever know about this kind of wallet. Is that a new wallet type for ERC20? Well, if it is like the MEW or Metamask, I myself will still prefer these two kinds of wallet. Although they have some negative sides, they have been trusted so far.

I will suggest that you stick with an already known and trusted wallet if you really value your crypto asset. New wallets are springing up everyday and many of them doesn't really guarantee your investment safety. Please choose wisely.

I very much agree. The wallet is an important matter and of course you can EASILY lose all of your money by choosing the wrong wallet since so many of them can be scams. scam wallet usually tend to be a web wallet that's online based but there's also handful amount of wallet that's created to harm your computer by keylogging everything and being inserted with malware. Just stick with the well-known wallet that has its source code published openly so that people could know what's inside that wallet.

Yes, absolutely. You can lose your coins in that method and you cannot recover it unless you can access the wallet. Also if you send bitcoin to an Ethereum wallet, of course, you will lose your coin. It is because it is the wallet designed for bitcoin.

Yes always be careful so that we can avoid to experience a scam. If we have research it properly and think it is legit then go on it but if we have been notice something wrong don't try to open it and also there are many legit wallet that are existing for each cryptocurrency that we can be able to trust on which is secured by the company of the different cryptocurrency.
