Title: Newbie Friend Needs Help -- Can't Post Post by: tim-tams on February 16, 2014, 09:56:08 PM I have a friend who joined the forums awhile ago but has not been super active. He recently tried to post but the forum is telling him that he must wait like 360 seconds because he just posted. This happens despite the fact that he has not actually posted anything in weeks. Anyone know what might be wrong or how he might fix it? Maybe an admin needs to fix something? His username is Chaff.

That's most likely the problem, I'll let him know and see if that fixes things. I don't believe he's using Tor but I can check. Your activity level can at most go up 14 for every 2 weeks (using linux time). The way activity is calculated: The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts) Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
