As a new kid in the cryptocurrency world, we often have our share of first mistakes in trading which helps us to be able to become better and wiser in the next transactions. What are these usual or common mistakes that newbies commit?

I think, emotional trading and non-targeting specific as well as fund coordination and speculation options are fundamental mistakes for newcomers to the trade. I experienced these lessons in the last 3 months.

The commonest mistake by far is buying during a pump or bull run only to realize 24hrs later that prices have corrected.Basically same as the Fear of Missing Out(FOMO).
Another mistake is greed,trying to make huge profits within a short time and this placing highly risky trades.

I think one of the biggest mistakes of newbies and many traders is buying at the wrong time, so when you buy at the wrong time you would also sell at the wrong time which end up with big loss  ::)

First and foremost thing the newbies do is panic selling.Due to lack of cryptocurrency knowledge,they may get panic .Whether the price of cryptocurrency will increase or decrease.It will depend on cryptocurrency you had choosen.You can expect the huge raise in bitcoin in short term.Considering the altcoin,you have to be patience for long period.Altcoin is only best for long term investment.

In my experience, a lot of newbies mistakes are they are credulous to the FUDs and FOMOs. Some of them also got scammed because of the "trading signals" that created from irresponsible parties, so they can take profit by spreading those "fake" news.
Another mistake is when they can't differentiate their brain from their emotion, by falsely read the chart and eventually choose a not-so-good coin to invest/trade.

First mistake usually do by newbie is that they starts when they are not ready to trade. They starts because they only hear good news from others that doing trading is profitable. They should starts after they are ready and fully understand about trading activity especially about cryptocurrency trading. It is my own experience to be honest, I started trading crypto just because I read some facebook posts about trading profit with small capital. Indeed, there is a saying "learning by doing", but learning trading by doing requires some money and it can be very risky for newbies if they did not learn it first.

I remember when I first started trading (just for fun) with really small amounts of money. The first 2 trades I made were actually successful, but the funny part is I did the trades in a totally random fashion, without any understanding. Then, on the third attempt the market moved in the wrong direction from what I had been anticipating. After a while I panic sold and lost a lot in relative percentage. So my first mistake as a newbie was panic selling. If only I had waited a couple of days, the market would have turned around and I would have been fine. Lesson learned never to panic sell again.

I remember that I focused on one single indicator. I started with RSI - whenever it fell below 20 I went all in.
Of course this is not a good idea when you're in a bear market.... yeah.... I learned the hard way ;-)

In trading, no one called to be an expert because we don't know the price movement in the market but the best thing is to keep searching of which coin you invest to trade. I already experienced on that I have a huge loss, lastly this current year in a month of January I decided to go in trading I never expect that the price sharply went down after a month I saw my lost. Then I decided to stop and much better to hold.

Getting started with the trading immediately after hitting the crypto space is the biggest mistake new people do. In reality they should never start trading until the time they dont learn basics of projects, ICO's, how the market behaves and what are the coins and what are the different coins!
If you by any chance start trading then there is chance that you will end up having lot of confusion where you dont know how that coin will behave in the market with its different factors changing all the time. So learn, gain some knowledge and then get started with it.

There are many mistakes that new traders make. From the top of my head is.

1) Lack of Capital - People want to be millionaires and trade from a $3000 account

2) Naive - They spend $10000 on software and courses which promise them financial freedom

3) Emotion - They take profits usually right away and they are afriad to take a small loss so they either get margin called or sell at the bottom like the sellers at $5700 last month.

4) Greed - Instead of trading 1x they start trading with 50x or 100x on Bitmex and are surprised they keep blowing up their account over and over again.

5) Patience - They trade the 1 Minute charts instead of trading the Daily and Weekly charts like most professionals

I think the common mistakes every newbie do, As I was a newbie one time, Newbies always wants to make huge money by seeing other big wallets, They got emotional and takes a big decision without any proper knowledge about the bitcoin and other crypto coins. I invested money to trade in an exchange without any knowledge, and then I lost as usual and then I gave up!  ;D

Newbies always believe in fake news, fake hypes. That is a big mistake for them.

These are the mistakes that most new investors have and I have been in this situation. I've had 80% of my fortune in transactions and I'm really sorry about that time but it has given me lots of lessons to be able to succeed in the present and in the future.

When I started trading following mistakes were observed after sometime,

I started trading very first day without doing any research about the market, what are the trends etc.
I did not set any goal with specific crypto currency. (set a proper goal that I will buy at and sell at....)

But after sometime I came to know these things, now I do proper market analysis for at least one week then do any trade. One important thing that every new trader should learn is "PATIENCE" which is the main key in crypto world.  

Most newbies sometimes think they can be  rich overnight while they invest in cryptocurrencies. Some tend to put in more money and expect huge return shortly; a little dip shakes them to the bone and they begin to sell so cheaply.

Entering the market without enough knowledge and listening to a hype news. Newbies are the target of a greedy people because its easy for them to believe when it comes to making money. Newbies should make effort on learning things so they cannot become a victim of those scams. The market is hard for a newbies if he don't want to exert effort on learning about it.

I have been through a new beginning so I know this feeling. New entrants often fear when the market goes down. They have no knowledge so their patience is not there. When the market goes down a certain level they do not have the patience to wait, they will sell the hole what they are.

Probably one of the biggest mistakes that new traders do is flow what they see on the net, if they see somone saying that this coin is good and you should invest in it they belive them and that go put their money on it and they end up losing it, because they invest all of their cap thinking that they will be profiting from it, so if you ate new don't do litterly what people say and don't invest all of your money into one coin or one token.

Most likely, trading without a normal trading strategy is the most common mistake traders make. But the main mistake, as for me, is psychology. How trivial it does not sound. If you want to become a professional and live only with trade, forget about fear, greed, passion and hope. n any case, everyone learns from their mistakes. Selling immediately their coins even in a small profit. It means that there is no knowledge in doing trading that's why they buy coins that has no potential to grow then sell at a lower price abd the result is lost.

When I was newbie trading is a place to spend money. Day trading that I do always lead to losses, I have a weak mentality at that time. I always thought bitcoin prices would always go up so I did not think long for a good time when buying bitcoin, the first factor mistake I've experienced. Then when the price drop occurs I never sell because I always hope a few minutes later bitcoin prices will go up but it's just this empty hope is the second stupid reason I've done.

Most of the newbie traders are selling and investing based on their emotions and that is the reason why they are losing a huge amount of their investments every time the market price is dumping.

Personally, I got my hands dirty early so I got burned easily. Meaning, I should have study how the market works and understand some graphs or basic TA, but everyone makes mistakes even the best of them so I didn't get discouraged but continue to trading journey. And just remember that its a continues process, no one become experts overnight. And what others have said, throw your emotions out of the windows and based everything on logic, because once your emotions take the better of you, your decision will be clouded and it will be a expensive lessons to learn.

I had a mistake buying called "shitcoin" Then i dont read or study about a certain coin that i have invested so after holding it for a long time i do not earn, Instead i loose my money i lot.

Yes most of the newbies are depending on their emotions on which is should not because we should be always identify first and study our investment that we are wanted to go so that we have prepared for the possible risk and make an strategy to overcome it and earn a huge amount of profit in the future. my opinion. The mistake of a new trader is often lack of patience. Greed wants to make a lot of profits but they can not understand that greed is sometimes the knife that kills them. Another mistake that newcomers get is fomo. Some of them are also cheated because trading signals are generated from irresponsible parties, leading to new traders getting trapped and losing money.

Newbie traders common mistakes are being eager to earn without enough knowledge. They trade with too much emotion. They usually chase the uptrend that is why they end up being a bagholder. The first thing a beginner should learn is when is the right time to buy a coin.

there are several mistakes which newbie are doing in trading. first one is they tend to buy unwanted positions. for an example if price of coin is high and they think that it is going to go moon. but actually it is going down instantly. second one is as newbie we can't weight for the moon. in small price change we are tend to sell. it is not a good thing and we have to be patient to moon. if we are trade with much money we had better long term trade and if we have small amount we have to trade short term. as well as we should consider transaction fees also.

Yeah, and like said above as well, the FOMO feeling that comes with emotional trading. It's amazing how easy we can fall victim to that feeling when we are trading. I've seen myself do it so many times. Even if you think you won't do it, you'll find yourself looking at a chart with wide eyes and wanting to jump in. Just stop and check yourself before every execution. Have a checklist of rules. Don't break your rules.

That also goes for stop losses and profit targets. Know how much loss you can tolerate, and how long you can handle being in that trade. Sometimes the trade is ok to wait in, if there's clear indication on the longer term charts that it will be moving in the direction that you anticipate. Sometimes patience is critical.

The common mistake newbies make is not knowing when to get in and out.  Not knowing your source of information is also another factor that make them attach emotion to trades.

In general, mistakes are often is panic, whether it's panic selling or panic buying. That panic can be triggered from the mistake of choosing a valid news source, even sometimes they just hear a rumor come out of nowhere. Then the life problems that brought along when making decisions mixed with emotions.

There is absolutely nothing in crypto to fear about. You can loose and earn in the traditional market and well as in the crypto market so it is not a very new concept. The rise and fall in the price should not scare you away because you loose not even a penny as long as you do not sell your coins. Besides, the loss could be minimized by wearing a rational behavior and making wise decisions based ion the market condition.

When i first doing trading in to crypto market, i did some mistake , that is bought coin on the top, too greedy and thinking the price will going up forever, and also i did not use stop loss order. Learn from these previous mistake , now i try to make better strategy, and become more understanding price action of crypto.

From what I have seen for a while now and with some of those I have talked with, over assumption that they already know everything that is needed to know about trading is what kills most of the newbie traders, forgetting that you cannot learn all about trading in just one day and transition from knowledge gained from the books to experience matters a lot.

This is the reason why once they start practising, they go in big with a huge fund ready to start making big profit, and then when reality kicks in they start shaking like a lost cockroach. Always practising with what you cannot afford to lose and taking your time to get it right, or even using unreal funds from demo sites makes better sense. It is just quite unfortunate that most people in this age are just busy looking for fastest ways to get rich and that affects their decision making entirely when it comes to anything.

I am too confident with the trading signals I follow, it is not really accurate and I suffer significant losses, since then I dare to use personal analysis, initially very difficult in the trial and error process and in the end I found the actual pattern, the signal which I pay every month can be processed with personal perception, not to be executed very raw, there must be a personal analysis.

Greed. Want to get every profit with just a little amount of time. Wrong.

Envy. Read too much in a telegram and discord group and want to be something like them. Didnt even realize they are all just lies.

You need to stay calm when you are a newbie. Already learned my lesson out there. Loss too much and tried to control myself but cannot.

The greed mistake can be take up into two things: Either greed in buying some other coins that leads up to investing in such shitcoins, or greed in selling that leads up to regret in the end, because of the obvious reason that the trader misses out another bull run after he or she sold he or she currently holds. It is gonna keep repeating though if such awareness in these kinds of cases isn't gonna be done.

Emotionless trades, it's very important to have this skills when you are dealing with crypto or any investment that take some risk, moreover people always jumping into conclusions without doing deep research, they are thinking that this field is an easy access to financial stability without realizing that this is a  game of wise individuals, like what you have said a warzone where strategy and war plan should be intact and should be followed to avoid any wrong moves while your money still inside the exchange.

Newbies are very impatience and want to jump into the scene as soon as they enter the field of cryptocurrency or because they have heard of success stories of trading. Until they lose their initial income and come to terms with the ideas that trading isn't a quick or rash thing to do.

I agree on what you have said, most of the new investors just believe that they will always earn profit but they never though about the volatile market and that is the reason why some traders are panic selling their coins every time the market prices are dumping.

Investing in a crypto currency without a good knowledge of what trading crypto currency trading entails or in a coins that you don't have have a good knowledge about. Just my first mistake while trading crypto currency, I was doing well trading Stratis but when I try trading Dodge coin it all went against my expectation which loose almost 50% of my investment.

I also think that the most common mistake that the newbie make is that when the bitcoin price starts decreasing they start panic selling which make the situation worst, I think that they should get good experience first and after that should invest their money in trading crypto currencies.

Not learning what to trade and how to trade can be biggest mistake. In the trading zone emotion is your enemy and patience is your friend. Always remember these two things all the time and try to acquire the skills over the different trades. Sometimes your trade might get closed very soon with nice profits but that may not be the case in the next trading.

I think most of the time they don't research the project before buying, don't analyze the recent price movement. They just get in on FOMO.

Buy a ico when the price is high ,they don't make any research about the ico just bought and when see a bear market they get panic and seel ico at lower price. 

For this, actually everyone is asking and advising at some time for learning. Learn before what you want to practice. If you don’t know what to do and you are just coming up in field to do things, how can you manage it to success? In such case, you would see lose every time. So learn well and equip yourself with pros and cons of everything that can be used in your entire trading life.

I think that there are 5 common mistakes that newbie traders ussually do, which includes: Overconfidence,  Lack of Emotional Control, Fooling yourself, jumping the gun and not thinking in probabilities. I agree with the above. The most common mistake is panic in the bear market and sell immediately to cut off loss and then start buying in the recovery while again selling when the market becomes unstable.

This is so obvious and natural too. I often used to talk about this when I was in my starting days here. I was panic whenever there was a down in prices. But later, with time, things start getting better. You must see what is happening around you and thus if you have some sensible learning regarding that downfall, I am sure your mind would be under control.

Frankly, to be greedy isn't just an issue for newbie, even professional traders can be greedy as well. The most common mistake for newbies may due to the lack of experience that caused them to be in panic situation when they see their investment down deeper. At such condition, newbies will cut the loss because of afraid to lose more money, which isn't good decision from my point of view.

For me, as a newbie I was then, i made the mistake of buying my very first coin at very wrong time.. It was on an mooning move, so i jumped in. Dumped on me hard. I had to sell at a loss as the coin didn't bother rising again.

- Technical analysis is complex and may not be accurate
Newbies who are not tech savvy and have a lot of market news.

I think the biggest mistake is not to be prepared for mistakes. experience is given with some time. you must be ready for loss and find the strength to start over. many people think they can invest their money and make a profit. but this is not so in fact.

in my opinion being greedy is the biggest problem that begineers do, we don`t know when to quit and always become positive regarding prices, but in reality they are not as good as we see but we keep holding and not cutting the loses.

I agree with you. I have lost some good chances by setting high sells order and finally never did sell until price was down. If I sold at 20% profit. I would have been better.

Greed is really the main problem. Not selling because "it can grow even more"? Check. Going all-in? Check. Staying in dying currency because hodl is the key? Check. Trying to trade on unstable market which can go up or down? Check.

What i have seen the most is that newbies rarely hold their coins and also do some panic sell which gives them none profit and also makes the coin unstable. Newbies should have some patience before getting into trading because patience can really affect your profit rates.

I actually made mistakes when I started trading; I made the mistake of buying some coins when they were pumped which was unknown to me they were pumped during that time. Until now I'm still holding those coins waiting for the price of those coins to go up before I sell. If I should sell those coin it will be a great loss to me.
