if you often read whitepaper a project, there you can decide a potential project or not but that is only a small parameter due to the success of the project more determined the number of investors who enter certainly with the hard work of the team. if reading a whitepaper will be easier in making decisions.

Because they hire professionals to the paper, so its not really a good indication to check for scammy ICO's. Those scammers are always one step of the game. Whitepaper is something that explain the what the project is all about, reading it would be able to give us information about the project itself.
But we can't just simply believe everything that available in the whitepaper, we have also need to gain other information from another source to check if the project is legit or not

That is a good point. I have seen some whitepaper have their following versions. Some of its features on the whitepapers are being removed due to some instances. But most of it has added new features and detailed information. Still a research must be done.
