Recently, the market has shown that bitcoin is set for a bull run. Yet, the ethereum chart is showing that,ethereum is feebly struggling to even maintain it's current price. What do you say about this? Why hasn't ethereum followed suit?

Currently more than 47% Bitcoin dominance in the market, and this mean many trader sell their altcoin for Bitcoin.  And so far not any new money come in to the crypto market, that why the price of altcoin going down. This crypto market need new money so the price will possible to going up.

if it is the same as fighting in this case a problem will occur and the market will occur weaker, that's all because there are two things happening

It's waiting for the money to flow back in.  Whatever happened to cause the great dump appears to be finally over so I think Bitcoin will jump first and after that everyone is going to flood into the #1 altcoin ETHEREUM.

Ethereum just waiting for the bitcoin to get another momentum before ETF announcement and there will be a huge pump in the future and i guess that will be very close before ETF announcement by SEC. Bitcoin may potentially be set for a Bull run but it has not yet started. We have seen many failed attempts to launch this year and until that pattern is broken you should not expect too much from the rest of the coins. Bitcoin still holds the key when it comes to price movements in crypto.

Not sure what is going on with Ethereum recently. But I am still holding both my bitcoin and ethereum. I have enough patient and enough time, no rush, I will continue until the market recovers, no matter it is a few months or a few years.

just wait until ethereum recovers, for now ethereum still can't beat bitcoin because many investors who choose bitcoin become one of their investment places, well hopefully etherum can still maintain its price

That certainly could affect the ethereum price as a whole in the market but when the market decide that bitcoin will have stronger dominance over altcoins that means a no chance for ETH.
doesnt mean there's no opportunity for eth to increase its price with the upgrade or even switching over to PoS but maybe a little bit harder.

you are getting two things wrong here.
first one is the fact that bitcoin is always set for a bull run, even during its correction drops it is getting ready for the bull run because the demand for it is constantly increasing even when newbies are being flushed out.

second is the fact that you think altcoins should rise with bitcoin! in fact the exact opposite has always been true meaning whenever bitcoin goes up altcoins go down, some of them even drop hard. in case of ETH, it is not an exception. this coin will also go down like other altcoins specially since it is overpriced by a lot.

ethereum and bitcoin have different networks, obviously they will not be in the same direction in terms of maintaining their prices, but they both have the potential to rise faster than others.

I think that Ethereum will surprise us this year with its high price. But he has a very large capitalization and this means that the price growth begins later than the light coins. But I am 100 percent sure of Ethereum and if stable growth starts then it will not stop.

I heard that the SEC delayed their decision on Bitcoin ETF until September 2018. Thus, ETF is not yet approved and not yet refused by them. Due to the recent bull market of btc, many investors were able to sell some of their alts including eth and invest in bitcoin since they are seeing potential profit in just a short period. Its not as easy as most of us would like to think for a coin to gain value in the market, especially if its a high quality coin, just coins will gain value fast due to slight pumps and lose them just as fast. But you should look at the Ethereum not only like the separate coin, but on the whole market and the Ethereum in it. So that you will notice that Ethereum is the most desired coin after Bitcoin.

the ETH whales have been trying so hard day and night to prevent the crash from happening. they even placed huge buy walls to prevent the crash from happening but it was inevitable and still happened.

BTC price is getting highs and lows considering many factors as well as hypes and media coverages. ETH price not fully following BTC is not fully right, as BTC price race makes a lack in the market prices when it is being covered by the altcoins price I assume if not bought Altcoin prices go bear. What do you mean that bitcoin is set for a bull run? As far as I know bitcoin is still struggling. So we all know that ETH price is somewhat tied to Bitcoin so expect that ETH will also struggle up to the end of the year. Not unless there's some development in the ETH side that will make the coin makes its own bull run independent of Bitcoin. But so far we haven't heard anything and then there is also the EOS threat, another factor that I believed contributes to its recent downfall.

Ethereum still is one of the fastest gainer in the market when a bull run start and it gains bigger than BTC. With that said, the reason why ETH is having hard time pumping up is also because of the bear market. Most altcoins are experiencing the same thing so this is pretty normal with ETH.

Although Ethereum is good, but in my opinion, the price of all altcoins is rising with the price of bitcoin. Once the bitcoin rises, all the prices of the altcoin are rising.

I have invested in Ethereum for quite a long time, but it is a long-term investment. With the current fluctuation, I can expect this price of ETH may be higher in December.

The recent market shows that the Bitcoin owner haven't lost their trust on Bitcoins which is why they are still holding on to it. Otherwise, we could have seen ETH market getting stable again. Right now, it seems like it will take a long time for the market to normalize again.

I also don't know what happen to the market nowadays. They are mostly red and dropped again. Ethereum itself is very dropped almost $300, although it is still around $407. I think that ETH is actually a very worthy coin. But, the value is same with others, they are highly down.

It is a good question but I'll also add that while bitcoin has fluctuated violently, ethereum has rarely sunk below $400 and the $400-$500 range is much more palatable compared to $8K ot $6K swings or worse.  Ethereum is easily a $1K or more coin.  Bitcoin is easily $10K or more.  I think the problem with Ethereum not hitting higher prices is that the ICO craze has lost energy.

The problem with ethereum is that it is held by a lot of ICO projects, and when faith in the market is reduced they will panic sell to ensure they have enough fiat to cover their bills. The price now around $230 is a steal for investors, i think there will be a bounce back soon.

Not really a good thing to happen with ETH, it is definitely a big loss for everyone who are investing before it came like these. Right now they are working on implementing sharding and the caspar upgrade, potentially switching from a POW to POS based system, which is going to either make or break ethereum. I have no idea, maybe it is waiting for someone to pump because at this point there is just no explanation for why ethereum is at the price that it is right now. I mean how is it still so low when bitcoin is clearly going back up? There is nothing wrong so the only explanation now would be that there is some kind of manipulation going on behind closed doors.

ethereum has not shown a significant increase in time movement. now ethereum will continue to struggle to maintain its position like last year. there are lots of things that ethereum must do, so I think this is something that is a hard struggle of ethereum.

There are two very real reasons why ethereums future is not so stable.

The number one reason is because the main use of the ETH token itself (to invest in icos) has been totally shot dead.
The entire ico market has crashed this year and there are no signs of it ever recovering.
On top of that, you have more and more smart contract platforms coming out and future projects actively migrating towards them.
With no real use for eth (except for trading pairs, but btc is still the better trading pair), and people hodling.
Naturally, the value will decrease.

The other reason is people are losing faith in eth.
There have been crucial developments in the works for the past year and a half but they just keep getting delayed over and over again.
Where once people 100% believed in eth rockstar devs, now people are wondering if even simple plasma cash can get initiated.

I think every coin is due for a pump specially the large cap coins. Occasionally, some 2-3 coins get pumped usually mid cap ones because of some listing news or fork.
