The only correct answer is "Maybe." Because "Yes" and "No" are both absolutes. Since it's theoretically possible that either outcome might occur it's a "Maybe."

I think the chances are higher that it won't be $750 to $800 by next week. I expect something else will come up and kick us while we're down... Could be Gox, who knows...

The man is a fkn clown. On 11th February, he announced that MaxCoin was a roaring success (trading at a fraction of it's release price). He is ok for a bit of anti-establishment sentiment but that is as far it goes.

Used to be a fan of Max, but lately he has become nothing but a glorified pump & dumper.  His twitter feed was hammering 100 tweets a day pumping that maxcoin garbage.

He must have lost a lot of followers since harping on about crypto currencies so much, he should go back to ribbing politics and global finance with the occasional bitcoin piece.

Why add the "maybe" option? Since either scenario could play out, that's really the only correct answer, since we don't know yet. You should change it to either yes, or no -- binary (bitcoiners love that word)

Max doesn't know shit. He's riding the high of this fake rally built upon a rumor and probably just wants more dumb money going into bitcoin for his own personal gain. Until we move past this Gox clusterfuck, there's still high potential for the bottom to drop out from this market.

I think Max does what Stacy tells him to do. He just says whatever crap comes out of his mouth, but sometimes he's right. Most of the time he's just a showman. I believe he is sincere. A rally is due and back to 1000 by spring, baby!

I enjoyed Max's show and used to follow his twitter feed for great nuggets of economics info and links.

But then I got an overdose of Maxcoin propaganda rammed down my throat and now hardly go near his twitter feed cos you've got to wade through all this Maxcoin nonsense when I'm perfectly capable of going to Cryptsy and  seeing what the market thinks of it which is about 100 times more relevant.

I hope he gets back to doing what he does best and stops being the Arthur Daley of cryptocurrencies.

Perspective: Russian News (or whatever it is called) that Max has a show on is paid for by the Russian government. It is broadcast in English to people outside of Russia and not shown in Russia.

I invest in coins for their technological interest, not because of the loudness of Max Keiser's bullhorn. Sure, Max's bullhorn can pump a coin and you'll make some money. They when it stops you'll loose it again unless you dump.

That isn't really what Max Keiser was about for me and I find it a bit miserable to watch.

+1. I started following his twitter feed last year when he was backing bitcoin because he sounded like an ardent believer. Almost stopped following when he was going on about quark, and finally dumped him after all the maxcoin bs.

Max Keiser is my favorite journalist.

Why? Only because people with GPU-rigs could not mine something else? Don't get me wrong. I think that MaxCoin is a really good coin, when you look at the specifications. But coins get not worthier, because you cannot mine it with specialized hardware. Because of ASICs, Bitcoin became so secure. Don't forget this. ASICs are not good for GPU-mining rig owners, but they are good for the people who actually use the coin... and using the coin makes it valuable.

It was Quarkcoin that changed my opinion - Up until then, sure you were a bit off the wall, but I found that quite entertaining. And I thought you were completely fair in your LTC call and also incredibly accurate (although I think that was a case of self fulfilling prophecy). But Quark? WTF?? Why sell out like that? You had a good thing going, plenty of supporters despite your somewhat crazy demeanour, but now you've lost a lot of that support IMO. Tone it down a bit, focus on something else for a while, then come back when it all blows over.

Just my advice though, who am I to tell you what to do? Do whatever you want mate, its your show. And thanks for your contribution over the last few years, just don't throw it all away to greed.

Max Kaiser is the same kind of sociopath as Bruce Wagner, I've said this when he first popped up and this is still my assessment.

But then the Bitcoin community is full of sociopaths, of different kind and each time one of them does their thing the resulting clusterfuck is priceless to watch.

I think you just have to have your filter on when you listen to Max: it's information with a lot of showmanship.

No regular joe would want to watch a drab boring show on economics so the over the top stuff is pure entertainment.

But I also think his ideology is in the right place, a focus on exposing and overthrowing criminality (karmabanque, silver/jpm, bitcoin etc etc)

Still, I notice a lot of bitcoiners have begun to dislike Max since he started promoting Quark and Maxcoin (I personally didn't like when he started tweeting that he'll move the btc price up by $30 over the weekend - that was too much for me).

His bitcoin tweeting was quite inspiring and filled many with hope and then he has really gone off the boil with it.

I think those who bought silver as he promoted it during his 'bring down JP Morgan' phase felt similarly when he began his bitcoin promotion.

All in all, Max entertains and makes economics interesting, but like anything you have to do your homework.

Agreed. All talking heads are in it to make a buck. It's a television persona that caters to a segment of the population (ratings/views) and almost all of them would sacrifice principles to remain in the spotlight. Glenn Beck is the worst of them, IMO.

Max Keiser will claim he was right but Bitcoin is currently about $50 above where it was when the stupid mouthpiece cunt made the 'prediction', and in between then and now Bitcoin went to $400. Anyone who invested in Bitcoin on the strength if his advice probably sold at $500.

he's in europe. right? so when his prediction posted on feb 22 (saturday) to twitter's servers, it was already the 23rd (sunday) where he is, so start of new week. we are now in the "next week", and only $90 short of his price point, but did hit $710 earlier on stamp, so only $40 away.

that's pretty damned impressive, the guy is an oracle of some kind. very wise man.
