what do you think can cause the price to go up?

What do you mean by feature exactly? Something new added to bitcoin?  :-\ The only thing that makes the value go up is more demand so we need more people on board for that to happen. Keep spreading the word if that's what you want to see.

As far I know bitcoin already has enough feature and it doesn't need any new feature right now and the demand will rise after the rise from this downfall automatically.

Even though bitcoin is very well equipped, I think about one feature that will make bitcoin more valuable and more useful, and that is the "smart contract" feature similar to ETH. Today ETH is used widely just because of this feature. A lot of start up companies use ETH to make their own tokens based on that smart contract algorithm which makes ETH is one of the most used and appreciated cryptos of all time, second to bitcoin.

I think, if smart contract can be made available for bitcoin, it will not only increase the utility of bitcoin, but at the same time, make it more useful for the companies around the world who wants to make their own crypto footprint. More utility means more demand and for the same reason, the price can take few more steps towards moon. Just my 2 satoshis!

I don’t think we need some major changes. It’s the acceptance what we need. Onde people recognise all the benefits and start using it more, the value will follow.

The main feature what I would want is the smart contract feature like eth which would make it widely used as an utility coin as well just like eth being used today. So even the more demand will bring more and more people in the queue to have more and more btc so that the present downfall stops.

This is two different questions, what can make bitcoin more valuable which is topic question? Beign conservative, not innovate too much, leave it to all altcoins and look them burn. Take out best from ashes and progress slowly but surely. This will increase price always.

Yes, I think like that too. I think Bitcoin has brought many features here, maybe there are some improvements to be more popular and more mainstream. If the confirmation time is faster than the current and lower costs will make Bitcoin more popular and many even merchant will receive and use bitcoin.

What do we also think about the scalability of bitcoin. I think this is the additional thing that will be added to bitcoin that will get it to run on bullish without any further delays.

Does Bitcoin have the ability to cancel a transaction??? Has anyone come across this? Today I experimented with ETH! The transaction which was pending I cancelled it, only paid turns out for gas! I do not know , it would be technically convenient for bitcoin and the system to implement such a function.

No, when a Bitcoin transaction is unconfirmed for a very long time there's a possibility that it gets rejected and the spent Bitcoins will be sent back to the address. Nice suggestion however you didn't fully answer the question of OP.

I can't imagine any new feature that could make Bitcoin more valuable because every feature has pros and cons. Smart contracts would be cool to see but I doubt that it could boost the price of Bitcoin and it's not new if you're familiar with ETH.

I like the point. I think that there is still a long way for mass adoption. The first step will be to improve the UX.

We need the lightning network, bitcoin is a currency and the lightning network will make bitcoin overcome its biggest problem which is the scaling problem, once that is taken care of it could be a good idea to have some optional characteristic that made bitcoin truly anonymous for the users that want or need that, and finally smart contracts are a good idea as well.

There are different ways how new feature can affect Bitcoin's price. First, there is a speculative effect - when developers announce that they plan to implement a new feature and later report progress on it, the market may consider it bullish news. I believe that the development of Lightning Network is one of the reasons why we had such a big rally in the last year. The second part is when the demand increase after the feature has been released as a direct result of that feature. For example, if Bitcoin will get better privacy, it might get more new users and the price will go up.

I think Blockchain has made Bitcoin famous. That is the only thing that makes technology investors happy and want to spend their lives for Cryptocurrency and learn about this new Blockchain technology.
So I believe Crypto has a great future and Blockchain will always improve. That would make the price of Bitcoin higher.

It's blockchain technology as a whole. One will be, the effectiveness and efficiency it brings to transactions and costs whether business related or not. Second will be the transparency. Currently, in the business wolrd, it is a factor considered by most of the adopters and investors. Lack of transaparency can ruin the whole thing. And as we all know, blockchain technology can bring you a lot more different and whole new level of transparency. This means, increased in auditability and trails, increased in transaparency leading to increased trust from the public. More adoption, increase in price due to higher demand.

I don't think Bitcoin need to add more features, Bitcoin already got a good feature and got a good fame, the only thing that need to be done to make the price go up is more investors or the adoption of big companies, if we can make more stores or people to used Bitcoin then the price could go up

From my own perspective, Bitcoin needs two features to power it up adequately. These are improved scalability and integrating smart contract just like that of Ethereum blockchain. With scalability it can handle large transactions without any much clog in the network and also allows tokens to be built on it via Smart Contract.

I think when it comes to the security of bitcoin. If bitcoin can make their system more secure than before im sure the price will be rising up due to the the secure of bitcoin that also increasing.

Bitcoin is already contained with all the features it wants and already it is more valuable coin in the crypto market. But in case of adding new features I would recommend to make it more secure so that no one can stole user’s coin and money.

I would like to see some side chain functionality added, allowing Bitcoin to interact with smart contracts, or engage in atomic swaps with other cryptocurrencies. Right now, Bitcoin is a pure cryptocurrency, but I think it should open itself up to possibly expanding on this functionality, to compete with platform coins such as Ethereum and EOS. I think platforms will be more widespread than pure currencies most likely.

For me volatility should stop at least for a day. In this regard to allow people to use bitcoin and feel secured, I think it would be best to allow price change only once for a day and change will only be seen the next day. I don't know id smart contract will really help bitcoin boost up since there are already platforms doing it. Somehow I think its just what it is, the demand of BTC can simply make it go up than its ATH last year. Perhaps the ETf approval will make it happen but I'm pretty sure its just the demand of BTC and people investing and merchants accepting it.

"Decreasing the transaction verification time" is one of the features of bitcoin that should be improved. Developers are working on these already. The LN is one way to improve these, but there are still gray areas with this projects. It hasn't proven anything yet.

fees to Bitcoin transactions. I know some other coins have their own Mixer services, but Pseudo anonymity for Bitcoin is not

enough, we need 100% anonymity. If you do not want that, then use 3rd party exchanges with KYC/AML requirements to do

You can't stop volatility, it's one of the key features of Bitcoin. Besides, volatility is something that traders make money on and exactly that attracts many users.
To my opinion something that could contribute to greater value of Bitcoin is acceptance by prominent businesses and wide spread usage in everyday life. But one of preconditions for that is positive regulation.

There is no central control over bitcoin which is great but makes it difficult to implement changes. If bitcoin can meet all the requirements of the ETF then that would pump it sky high, this is an important month for bitcoin

I think Bitcoin needs some additional functionality, sure, it's absolutely great as a pure cryptocurrency, but I'd also like to see its blockchain used for more. I think the most important improvment could be done on the side of the fees and the speed of the network.

There is lots of other bockchain/coin that have more interesting fees and furthermore a speed of transaction that is more intersting for money exchanges and people who want to fast operations.

Also working on more interaction with other blockchain could attract more project to use it.

New features! I don't know which features are you mentioning. But i think it's in standard form. Bitcoin has enough features. Huge popularity, traders and investors are investiong. Price value in soaring up day by day.

I think if the bitcoin gets a scaling solution and is able to lower fees with the lightneing network it wil become much more valuable.  Also make wallets easier to use for newbies and less complicated.

I don't know, and I have not yet experienced it, but I have read some. Canceled transaction and problems with Legacy and Segwit chains and much more technical problems scare me on bitcoin. Though I use bitcoin, I have not yet experimented on transfer fees and any technical procedures. I am always in the safe zone.

Reading technical instructions on how to fix a problem really makes me incline from experimenting on bitcoin. I think one of the best feature bitcoin can have is user-friendliness. In both usage and error fixing.

This is a controversial topic. I arguably think that the only thing that can make bitcoin more valuable is the demand on the market. If many people ask about something and more people will do as follow, that thing will be valuable. Therefore, the demand on the market will result in the price growth. For now, I believe there is not much demand on bitcoin, that is why it still is low. But if more people start to buy bitcoin or even the big whales, then we will see a pump in the price.

The utility value is the only thing that could boost the Bitcoin demand and indirectly the price. As we all know that there is going to be the limited supply of Bitcoin down the road but on the other hand, the utility value of Bitcoin might grow exponentially considering the market situation. I personally am not quite sure what you mean but still. In my opinion, the market price may rise if demand is higher. This may come either from new investors or if there is some event that may affect to the coins.

You do not really understand how this works, what do you think is going to make demand of bitcoin to increase? Or do you think the demand of bitcoin is going to grow out of nowhere? I dont think btc still needs to add more features to its use case, we only needs the adoption by merchant and well established registered e commerce with also the approval by the authority.

I think this is more a case of you not understanding what I said because where did I say demand grows out of nowhere? You're just making things up that I never said or just plainly just misunderstood what I said.

You also didn't state what 'new' feature bitcoin needs. Bitcoin likely won't have any new features and if it does it'll probably become a new fork.
