Since you have the working product in place already, I believe no need to run for airdrop. People will invest on your project if they see that there's something tangible here. Airdrop hunters will just dump your coins until the value declines to very low level.

Even the airdrop is KYC? I guess that prevents people from signing up twice for it but it is very annoying for the person just trying to collect a small amount of coins.

Airdrop and bounty campaigns help build and strengthen the community, it also ensures a healthy number of token holders if managed correctly. You can see famous coins e.g. ONT which conducted AirDrops and still the price sky rocketed a few days after getting listed. Therefore, AirDrop per-se is not indicative of price decline, when your concept, product and technology are strong, and you know what you are doing, a good outcome comes organically.

Hello I just stumbled on this while searching through ICOs. This is an interesting one but considering that we have so many applications how does this change the concept from what we already have??

This is a very good project that I have been onto for quite some time. Silo seeks to be a decentralized communication application. But we have many of that already.  
I want to ask,  what features does Sylo possess that makes it stand out from others? What is the spark that will make me  invest? How does Sylo plan to stay competitive against its very-similar counterparts?

If I see a viable answer to my questions then,  I will go ahead and invest.

Also, I've looked through and downloaded the TGE app, the interface is pretty cool  and sleek; but why does it say I only have access to 10 connections, how do those limits work?

We are not aware of any functioning fully decentralised communication system like ours, that is blockchain based and allows messages, voice & video calls, connected apps and multi-currency support. There might be blockchain applications that cover some aspects of that but not in a holistic way like we do. Also, conventional messaging apps are not competitors in our target markets given the cosmic asymmetries when it comes to the privacy and security we offer.

Regarding limitations of the current app, it works on a fremium model, where you get 10 connections free, then you need to move to the paid subscription tier for unlimited contacts. This restriction will be removed when we release the new fully decentralised app later this year ;)

Hi Vazan25! Not only Ethereum. The primary token will be SYLOs, however, the wallet is ERC20 compatible, meaning ERC20 tokens can be utilised within the wallet and marketplace. As we integrate other DApps that have their own token models, we will define the relationships between their native tokens and SYLOs, in order to enable value to all users and connected applications within the Sylo ecosystem.

People most of the time lean towards projects that are useful (with good use case) hence it reflects really to the willingness to invest in it simply because they complete believe in the project. Exactly, that's the main goal of Sylo. They provide decentralized communications through P2P technology and by utilising blockchain nodes so that the service won't be down. This is the easiest I can explain it to you, maybe reading the whitepaper might help a bit.

It is an application itself. So basically it will provide decentralised communications with a lot of features and DApp integration. As for their tokens, SYLOs will be used to fuel the Sylo Communication protocol. You will need SYLOs to utilise confidential communication over the Sylo network and you will also be able to use SYLOs within the Sylo application to access a range of services offered by other DApps and their respective token models.

They have an application already launched, you can download it for iOS, Android and Windows. It's a semi-centralized application, their fully decentralized platform will be released by the end of March.

Yes, they started working on communication confidentiality quite a long time ago. They found a better solution if they combine P2P network with blockchain nodes so that the communication platform would be completely decentralized.

Their application is currently a semi-centralized P2P confidential communication app, which was released way before trying out to find a solution through blockchain. Taking the communication components from there, they will soon release a blockchain enabled comms platform as part of a user-first ecosystem, that enables seamless connection to other DApps. Don't forget to check their beta program, beta will be released by the end of March.

There are some big advantages of decentralisation in communication. Data is one - with a decentralised solution you retain ownership of your data. The other is who controls the platform... With a centralised service, one company owns the users, and can do pretty much anything they like to extract value from their users and their information. They can harvest data, they can advertise, they can share their users’ data with other companies... With an open, decentralised service, what the service does is out in the open so all parties have to act fairly :)

Fake team?

I was kicked out of the telegram channels for asking for proof on a few issues with what the team was saying.

1: SYLO claims that top level exchanges are reaching out to them for listings. I called BS because they did not have the daily trading volume to draw the attention of top level exchanges.
2: Nick and Ryan are claiming that CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko both require 3 exchanges before the website will update their market caps.  I asked for proof on this and was removed from the channel. There are multiple coins who dont have those requirements but have the market cap listed.

This team is a lot of smoke and mirrors.

I have been following Sylo since early 2019 and can't disagree with your comments more.... I'm in the channel (albiet a lurker) and saw that you came back multiple times on fake accounts asking the same question...... of all the smoke and mirrors on this forum, you're picking the wrong project to FUD. There are a billion cash grabs in the ANN section, of which Sylo isn't one.

What are the arguments for this? Or are you just throwing out false accusations?

Sylo is my best lowcap gem buy so far I saw their app first and got impressed on it,I agree some data on the coinmarketcap could be misleading but I have seen that for a lot of other low cap projects too because no one is actually looking into them and updating until it becomes like link or pend(aave).I came to know Sylo was not just a app but a whole protocol now I heard that they are getting into the defi space with their financial products.

I don't use Android but the Wallet is super smooth on iOS. It's just a shame that the App Store won't let them include the Web 3.0 browser on Apple. Might buy an Android just for that!
