Title: More and more Bounties turn out to be SCAM.
Post by: 063Myxa on September 23, 2018, 09:23:16 AM
More and more Bounties turn out to be SCAM.
In the years 2016-1917 the era of the ICO began, and the launch of projects was very different from what we see now. Much attention was paid to the promotion of the project in social networks and in all forums. To date, everything has changed. Advertising ICO in social networks is prohibited, and good projects are trying to find good investors themselves. Therefore, many projects refuse to conduct Bounty and Eidrody. Projects begin to carry out closed ICO (for example, ICO Telegram).
But many projects continue to use Bounty to attract investors. And on my vzdlyade 50-70% of these projects SCAM. The project plans to raise money and disappear with them. Therefore, they do not mind paying a small percentage of Bounty and Airdrop.
The conclusion from this is that the choice of Bounty for work should be very careful. Do not waste 20 weeks on an empty one.
Sorry for my English.

yes more and more ico are created everyday, some of them are scam, actually more than half of them. no one can really tell which ico is a scam, because it looks like a real one. they are running like a good ico and operated with complete team and has a papers.

Absolutely agree with you. Now it is difficult to distinguish good ICO from SCAM. Scammers keep pace with the times.

Yes, there are now quite a number of fraudulent ICO projects, and so are the bounty scams attached, so we should be careful in choosing the bounty to do, if the wrong project is choosen or cheated. We will lose time and effort

Yes it is ! But we can't say totally that most of them are scam , some of them are successful on launching the ICOs that's we bounty hunters are always saying that those bounties where we had not paid are scam. Remember that the outcome of the bounty campaign still depends on it's ICO.

I don't know how the first bounty project run but I have a friend who know first about bounty and they said payment of the bounty not as much as the first they get. Sometimes bounty stoped in the middle of the road project beacuse not reached softcap and also sometimes we get trash. Iam newbie and I have yet get first payment of what I'm doing, hopefully in the future the bounty hunter get paid a proportion of his hard work.

the current era is too many ico spread all over the world because that is very difficult to know ico & bounty which is potential for us to invest and hunt prizes in the bounty campaign, hopefully there will be a system that is able to select ico.

more scam bounties may be because the ico project failed, did not get enough funds to continue the project. as a bounty hunter, you have to be smarter in choosing projects to be promoted so you can get a payment from your work.

It is absolutely true that many bounties prove to be failures, but I do not think the intentions were bad or fraudulent.
Quite simply, many people have thought that starting an ICO is a simple method of collecting money and they started without sufficient expertise.
So, not so much scam as incapacity.

a scam in the sense that it doesn't have valuable value or do you think that the price isn't right? At this time there may be quite a lot of ICO who have less good results and generate worthless tokens if like this you have to be smarter in choosing a project to follow

Yes this year there are too many scam bounty in the market more than past years. The reason for this is that the projects that make ico are more than last year. And unfortunately many of these projects are scam. The other reason is when the projects that make ico can not find enough resources than these projects are cancel. Unfortunately, they don't send token in the bountyhunters when the project is canceled. For these two reasons, the number of bounty that do not send token is increasing every day.

Selecting those ICO should be in strong and vigilant resources, because as I've noticed most of the projects right now weren't able to become transparent to investors. Upon observations on some platforms, they've been showing up their progress on their website particular on the pre-sale and main sale fund collected. With that strategy, investors and bounty hunters will continue to support the project and yet more new interested people will be wiling to have engagement for the project.

At that time the number of ico was not as much as now, and don't forget that crypto prices is very high, many ico projects easily reach softcap and even hardcap can be achieved, the bounty hunter payment is high automatically, because the payment is based on the number of tokens sold
The project plans to raise money and disappear with them. Therefore, they do not mind paying a small percentage of Bounty and Airdrop.
They not always planing to raise funds and run away, because many ico have failed because they can't reach softcap, eventually the developer returns funds from investors and bounty hunters who lose because they don't get paid from their work
The conclusion from this is that the choice of Bounty for work should be very careful. Do not waste 20 weeks on an empty one.
Totally agree with you, the bounty hunter must really choose a really good project, so there are still income from bounty hunting

The easiest thing to avoid in this crypto space is fraudulent activities but we neglect the obvious task and gamble

Before participating in bounties or any icos, there is need to have intense first hand information about the project , their product and what they offer to the society, the team, roadmaps amongst other functions
Don’t just hop into bounties gambling

Work for it
Do your own research

Because if the platform turn out to be a Scam. Both sides are losing  in Investment(Money) and Sweat Equity.(Time and Effort).

Yes, that's really true. So many scam ICOs right now, but i think that caused by too easy regulation and rules in making and publishing the project. For ICO project maybe need the new regulation to minimalize the scam project.
And for bounty hunters, never believe 100% with the project. You should always learn the background, roadmap and their whitepaper first. And then check the activity of their social media.

Well, yes, many projects are now scammers. But if you look closely, that is, good projects are hidden. We just need to study the projects, not all projects have refused bounty promotion.

Title: Re: More and more Bounties turn out to be SCAM.

Choosing a good bounty campaign and not a SCAM is very difficult right now. Even a good project with real goals fails because the softcap has not been achieved. As a bountyhunter we must look at the project objectives and the teams that join in, whether we are sure to follow. and when we have chosen the bounty we want to promote, we must do it right so that the ICO project is able to reach Softcap and even Hardcap.

We can avoid scam just by good research. In the old days for ICO not that much hard to raise funds. Last year market was in the uptrend only and ICO got too much advantage of that. Many tend to dive in ICO without research. After all, no one wants to invest time. Just need profit and profit. But things now changed. Market not like last year but since people yet not changed. Even after research also we can't catch the scam projects but still avoid the many scams. And save what we invest even money or time.

While it is very expedient that due diligence be done before engaging in bounties, sometimes I feel it's difficult to spot the scam while doing research. A project could tick all the right boxes for a good project and could still exit scam. It is also important to distinguish between scams and weak projects. That a project didn't do well at the exchange, doesn't necessarily imply it's a scam

This is unfortunately all true and the scam ico/bounties are becoming more and more.
It has become really hard to find a good bountie/ico.
The number of bounties where you can really earn something is very small.

Generally there are a lot of reasons why it is happening so. All this year the market is going down and we have the negative cashflow on the crypto market. The total pie is becoming smaller and smaller. ICO managers usually do not pay money to bounty hunters in time and it is happens that they do not pay at all. I can intimate you that ICO managers are able not to pay at all and you cannot effect on them because there are no mechanisms which could control them. I consider that such a situation must be changed otherwise people will not trust bounty campaigns at all.

It is normal, as many people know about bounty and ICO, there will be many bad people and they will create ideas that fool investors and bounty hunters. I see ICO scam the most is early in 2018 and now it has dropped quite a lot because everyone has experience ICO rating

Even if is legit at the beginning then they were not able to reach the soft cap so it will need long time for selling of tokens or just like other projects that they Will disappear because of lack of investors interested of the project.

This is the problem with signature campaigns, you can spend months writing about stuff collecting stakes in the process but in the end after all that work, you get nothing. And sadly, you can only do 1 campaign per BCT account!

Many factors cause ICO to become a scam, one of which is a bad intention of inviting investors, stealing and running away. But now there are also good ICOs that fail when entering the market either due to unfavorable market conditions or wrong strategies when listing the market

There always will be scam bounties thanks to those people who enter bounty not relying on the quality of the project but relying on reward amount. And do everything to reach needed amount of posts(including creating topics using "bad English" from google translate ;))
When all bounty participants will check projects they participate in - all this will end in a magical way

If all Bounty participants can carry out extensive research before participating in any Bounty program, I think life would be more easier for everyone of us because the percentage of those that will jump into those scamming Bounty program will be fewer, hence making less awareness campaign for those project and also reduces the involvements of other potential investors that might find interest in such projects.

Yep, that's why I never join bounty again in this year because of them are scam and there are many of them out there. Before joined a bounty you must 100% know is the project really good or not, and when the ICO live, is the project will get enough funds or not. Also repeatable project is trash, never join a bounty with that.

It's true that this year has been bad enough for ICOs, many bounties do not even reach the soft cap and so they get qualified as scam, because they end up canceling the project, is that really the market is bearish and investors are falling too, that's why you have to take better care of your investment and see if the bounty you're invested in is going to reach the end.

Just some tweet here and there, a little posting k  this forum that I would do anyway. You are not going to get rich off bounties, but at least the bountyhunters team will supervise the tasks and you AR assured to not get scammed of your time!

you are right and this is a problem that we cannot avoid, hopefully, all forum members can be better at choosing a bounty campaign, not because of the experienced bounty manager, but rather the information provided by the project they are supporting. but sometimes some good bounties do not pay participants well and are in accordance with what they get and do not match the spreadsheet for various reasons

People should have more research before joining a campaign. Most of the bounty hunters don't care anything. they join without any due diligence.  That's why they don't get paid too. Before joining a campaign have a good idea about the team behind the project.

Indeed, the condition of the ICO in that year was very far if we followed last year's project maybe we could get a pretty good project because of the small ICO volume at that time because I had been in the prize for a long time so I wasn't surprised if more projects were scam because in 2017 there are many projects that are scam around 2018 with many ICOs available in 2018 so to choose a good project will pass a fairly mature consideration because we enter the project will also take a long time.

There are a growing number of poor quality bounties and it is worth mentioning that they all exaggerate the amount of money supply for bounty, in addition to bounty management is not good. Sometimes questions of participants are not answered. Poor quality bounties are often difficult to be listed on reputable exchanges, with a high investment, but the develope team of ICO does not have any notice about that.
I still have not mentioned the ico of the virtual project. In general, the current market of ico is very difficult for us to choose a good ico to join and get income from it.

First, the english of the creator of this post was pretty good. Probably better than mine.

Due to the profitability of cryptocurrencies it's kind of obvious that people will want to step in, including the ones who don't particularly enjoy playing fair. The interesting thing about them is that they are constantly improving. Which means that the step ahead of scams and/or phishing attempts it's necessary that each one of us educate ourselves about the threats out there.

The truth is, as long as it's so easy to conduct regular mail spam and/or fake websites/ICOs successfully with profits - It will continue happening.

I personally don't like the Bounties who pay after months. It's a lot easier to understand where you are standing with weekly payment. Only with enough people putting pressure towards that goal it can happen. Sadly, too many inside those kind of bounties just use bots. Which makes it easy for them to occupy spots and do the work listed.

Still there are many scopes to identify the scam and good projects.
I want to participate in the bounty program means firstly I read the white paper and team members whether they are legit or not. If all the details are fine there or not you need to analyze the information and then participate the campaign mate.

Simple but exact to the point, since crypto is not regulated or controlled more and more new projects has been created to have investors interest
they create more bounties so they will be look good and attract newcomers, but all they long its just an strategy to collect funds and to scam both
investors and participants who work for their projects.

A lot has changed in the space between 2017 and now. Scam projects really into the crypto world in this period too and it has seen a lot of people lose by way buying into fraudulent ICOs and bounty hunters wasting precious time promoting a project with worthless tokens. Some even outright disappear without issuance of the bounty payments like Impressio did. The best for every bounty hunter is to be critical of every project before joining bounties, in fact, you can discontinue mid way if things don't sit well with you.

Today, the Internet is literally peppered with offers of investments in start-ups, promising projects, trading in crypto-currency, mining, etc. Alas, but most of these proposals are deceptive. With the advent of the global network, scammers quickly realized the prospect of deceiving a large audience of naive users.

Your English is better than OP's.

The fact is, most bounties are not actually scams, but are instead failures. There is a big different, one indicates malicious intend, whereas the other does not.

The terms and conditions of most bounties typically state that if the ICO fails, the tokens will not be distributed, which is just obvious really. Why would they spend ETH sending out completely useless tokens?

I dont know about your arguments regarding some prohibition of ICO marketing but I have noticed some scammy behaviour of some bounties which is to state that bounty will be like 600k$ and fine print that if the stakes will no exceed the tokens ( which in these cases is impossible and would require 10's of thousands of poeple) then we will make this calculation stakes=tokens.

So true. That is why the basic way to investigate if the ICO is scam in not enough already because they are like a real one. Itis very necessary to study first the ICO before you invest because of this kind of scenario. With this it is very important to be wise and smart to avoid scam.

I am a wolf that two years ago the crypto-currency and ico companies were the property of a narrow circle of people who worked for the development of crypto-currency and earned good money. But when the information began to diverge, there are many people who want to take advantage of the situation and earn a bad way.

at this time many gifts are scam, because the development is increasingly in demand by people, therefore the gift maker uses enthusiasts to seek profit. Indeed, we should now be careful about the gift and we must know whether the gift is fraud or not.

Unfortunately in this trap come across a lot of beginners who have learned that there is a free way to make money and you can participate in all the bounty in a row. They have heard that many people have already earned millions on this. Therefore, they come with the hope that in a month they will buy a Lamborghini and live for their pleasure. But people do not take into account the fact that times have changed. Previously, there were few projects and they really worked to realize their idea. Now everyone wants to collect very much money and therefore now it is very difficult to find really worthy project among any shit.

Yes, the generosity of a long time do not bring such results as before. Scammers are one of the problems. The second problem is that now a lot of people are involved in the bounty. Therefore, places in good projects quickly clogged, the one where there is a limit on the number of participants. And where there is no limit bounty hunters get very little. I think we need to look for other ways to make money.

I have not participated in bounty campaigns but it seems that what you are talking about is happening with more frequency which is a real shame because a lot of people invest a lot of time trying to promote the project and they do it to the best of their ability only to not receive their tokens at the end, but this is not really surprising because as we have seen many projects in the past year were scams

Instead of saying bounty scam it's worth saying ICO or project scam. Just bad research or we blindly follow any project leads to the scam many times. Normally people give 15+ or around 20 weeks time in bounty. But work not worth if project turned to scam. But what if we do low work after getting project. It is worth more even we work 5 or 10 weeks.

There are too many unsuccessful projects in the cryptocurrency market in the past and that is the cause of many bounty scam campaigns. Because the ICO project is unsuccessful, its bounty campaign and airdrop will fail and participants will not be rewarded.

the number of ICO more and more and it also makes the bounty became increasingly numerous. but it is all indeed not everything yielded and in line with expectations. within this selective in bounty is the main thing that should be done. because only relying on the following other people just wouldn't be able to make bounty produce and thus often fall in the scam.

Many bounty campaigns do not pay the participants for their campaigns because their projects do not get funding according to plan, I think that is correct and there are no problems.

maybe what you say is true but I am sure that of the many outstanding ICOs there will still be a bounty campaign that will still pay and can produce the right profit, this is the risk of the bounty campaign so you should be able to deal with it as best as possible don't be afraid of scams at least you have tried and tried your best.

Until there is any regulation of ICO, such a mess will happen.  The crooks will steal money from ordinary people and investors. The most annoying thing is that every day it is more difficult to distinguish a real company from scammers. And in the bounty and generally lost all desire to participate, because there is no income, but only wasted time.

Yes, that's why you need to be very careful the type of cryptocurrency project you involved yourself with, you should be able to carry out a due diligent search before doing any crypto project. The crypto space is right now full of fraudulent individuals who are not ready to work but wants to gain from the hard work of others.

This is nothing but a consequence of popularity. This can be traced not only in relation to cryptocurrency, but also in any other sphere. If there is a demand, there will be an offer. And along with it, and offers low quality and development.
In addition, popular destinations attract all kinds of scammers. This should not be surprising. Where there is money, there will be those who want to get it at any cost. You just need to think and not to believe every word.

there are times when the bounty also gives a huge profit, so don't be afraid to try, in essence, we are required to look for a bounty that really won't turn into a project scam.

more scam bounties may be because the ico project failed, did not get enough funds to continue the project. as a bounty hunter, you have to be smarter in choosing projects to be promoted so you can get a payment from your work.
It need to research first among those many ICOs that created everyday and join only those quality project. ICOs reviews will also help to check if the project has impact or hype in the market with the review from the team behind.

We should not forget that the majority of advertising in social networks is prohibited because of the same massive ICO scam, and the telegram conducted a closed ICO because it had a ready-made product for which, without any difficulty, found investors and more than planned!  So scam gets bigger only as a result of the fact that more projects appear!

Title: Re: More and more Bounties turn out to be SCAM.

Yes that is because majority of the coins turn out to be scams anyway and no one is willing to invest in the scam projects so they are dying out and not making the money that they were expecting to make from it. Also there are some bounties that are just taking advantage of people and not actually going to pay out the bounties that they have promised.

It seems for me that more and more coins are failing and don't develop product at all and instead of right actions toward brend awareness, product placement and development, they just waste money on their demands, buy cars, houses etc. What is more, with current circumstances projects don't raise enough funds to develop product .

There are really problems in the market of ICO projects, as it is difficult for projects to raise funds in such market conditions, respectively, a bad situation with bounty campaigns. Not only are most of them crooks, it’s almost impossible to get a decent reward right now. When the market recovers, the situation will improve on all fronts.

This is true. They learn how to imitate the things the real one are. They are a good imitator in which we will have a hard time identifying which is the real one. Therefore we should be critical in doing things, or somewhat be critical in choosing where to invest or which ICO to join. Try to look for Team background before investing on a ICO.

In fact, the number of fraudsters is not only 50%-70%, they are more than we think. This is also a major cause of ICO collapse, and these behaviors are also implicated in ETH. We have no way to stop this from happening, but we may be able to reject ICO until the existing rules are changed.

It is true, at the end of the day there are so many bounty scams that will make investors nervous to invest their shares in cryptocurrency, this can be a future thought for the bounty manager to choose which is good to make investors more confident in them.

Sometimes this can make the bounty participants feel deeply disappointed with the negative bounty, as participants I sometimes review the project to avoid scam

It really is. There is a percentage of ICO, which are fraudsters and this percentage is not small. Now nobody regulates it. It can be really difficult to identify scammers or not. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct more detailed research, and not to invest in beautiful words

Let's see the meaning of the word Scam-(scam – fraud) is an investment instrument that for any reason has ceased to fulfill its obligation to investors.I understand you equated everyone with a fraud. And those who paid tokens but did not start listing, those who did not collect soft cap.If the numbers you give are based on your own experience, then I feel sorry for you.Apparently you don't know how to pick a bounty. From my observations I can assume that a Scam a maximum of 10%.In the future, choose ICO more carefully

More and more bounty hunters tagged because of promoting for scam projects as well. At the moment, don't think that you can earn cryptocurrency by joining a random bounty campaign that you think it's good. Bounty hunters also need to have knowledge and experience to survive. It's more and more difficult but I think it'll be better for professional bounty hunters :).

Yup  a lot many bounties turn out to be scam, but the biggest mistake here is bounty hunters not reviewing the bounty campaign properly. There are enormous ways to detect if a project is going to be a scam.
A bounty hunter should research on the project he is opting to do the bounty for in similar way an investor do research for the ICO he is investing. Here you do not invest money, but you do invest your time and hardwork.
If you are not sure about the bounty, only join bounties from successful bounty managers who have a record of paying bounty hunters on time. This reduces your risk of being scammed by a big margin.

There is no need to participate in 200 bounty campaigns at the same time.
better to participate in 20 reliable bounty campaigns.

It is certainly a matter of great concern for bounty hunters. As by participating in bounties for 10 or 12 weeks, if you don't get rewards then it really hurts. So, one thing you can do is research well before participating in bounties.

2017 is the year of ICO. This year was indicative. This year all came to the conclusion that with the help of ICQ you can make good money. The scammers decided to take advantage of this. Due to the spread of Scam projects, it was forbidden to advertise ICO in social networks.  Left is on the forums. Prefer to spend fees now in telegrams

There are hundreds of bounties available in this moment. Do you expect all of them to have a real project and idea to build the next bitcoin? At least 50% of them have started with the intention of raising money and then stealing it. You can't say it's people's fault because some projects look really good and there is nothing wrong you can say about them but at the end they still prove to be a scam. Still, if you are careful enough I am 100% sure you can reduce the risks when investing by choosing the right ICOs.

This is bad, I hope it will stop because nowadays its really hard to look a good bounty. We need to be aware of scam projects because its not a joke to waste your time and hardwork to a project that at the end they will not pay you back. Let we say, even though you are a senior here in the community still you can not determined if the project was scam or not.

the number of ICO more and more and it also makes the bounty became increasingly numerous. but it is all indeed not everything yielded and in line with expectations. within this selective in bounty is the main thing that should be done. because only relying on the following other people just wouldn't be able to make bounty produce and thus often fall in the scam.
There will always be good ideas and there will always be bad ideas, it is only left for you as an individual to either know how to identify the good ones from the bad ones. I would say nonchalant attitude and laziness is what has made a lot of bounty participants to end up participating in a project that is not there to bring anything to the table and all the team is just after is to siphon all the money they can in the long run.

Scam is something that we cannot remove at the moment, and it is left for each individual to always do their own diligence before being a part of any project. Most bounty hunters usually do not see themselves as investors, which is the reason why.

Scammers ruin everything, some investors lost their trust in ICO's because of those fraudsters, they think all of the projects are now scam because of them can't totally blame them as some might lose tons of money from investing in buying their promises and return of profits once the ICO establishes and engaged their project, they are careful now and scared to invest again, projects should have some concrete assurances that they are legit and the part of the investors to engaged very careful with knowledge.

a scam in the sense that it doesn't have valuable value or do you think that the price isn't right? At this time there may be quite a lot of ICO who have less good results and generate worthless tokens if like this you have to be smarter in choosing a project to follow

Yeah I agree with you about being a scam also because there is no real profitable value in the end. There are so many ICOs that although they pay the investors and bounty participants, the coins they are paying is almost at no value.

Try to take a survey and find out how many investors actually research about a project or actually reads the whitepaper. The result will surprise you because the majority don't, a team's expertise and skilled could spell the difference between a beautiful idea and a realistic project. The Mfchain team is a good example of an excellent team. Working towards the mass adoption of cryptocurrency that mfchain represent of  is a win for all.

This is a non-regulated market, and it is normal to see scams in such situations, but what you should be asking yourself is what are you doing, to make sure you do not get to be a part of it? - I think that no one has enough credibility to manage all the new projects, people are always cheating each other in the virtual world, to trust someone here is really an impossible story, it's too dangerous, so even if there is a manager for new projects, people will still not believe what he's saying. In addition, the project team will not send all necessary information, this is their idea and you have the right to participate or not participate, they do not need to prove anything to you or anyone else, although the present situation is very sad but we can not change anything

ICO is an apple of the eye for scammers This is the easiest way for them to scam at a large rate without too much effort since the one who push the advertisement are real bounty campaign participants. That is why you should be picky when you join an ICO investment or campaign.

Absolutely agree with you. Now it is difficult to distinguish good ICO from SCAM. Scammers keep pace with the times.

I agree, I’m even having a hard time picking a good bounty campaign since 2018 has started. They’re more likely scams. It’s either they’ll extend for a long period of time or won’t give any rewards.
You must visit the bounty platform called Bountyhive. Most of their participants are satisfied with what they are getting fro the bounty they participated in Bountyhive. Also, their projects has low probability of turning out to be a scam.

Doesn’t sound very realistic tbh. You mean there no scam at all? How come?
Campaigns premoderated or how do they get rid of potentially fraudulent ones?

Even I have been scammed a lot many times in the past. The main issue is that the admins are not doing anything about it. Anyone can post an ANN thread here and there is no screening. This needs to change, if we want to minimize the incidents of scamming.

Yes, I fully agree with you. Choosing a bounty company is really hard work, and most importantly requires special care and caution. Since he was not just in such situations, when the selected bounty was not as good as originally intended. So now I use the phrase " measure seven times, cut once."

I agree with the author. there are a lot of scams among ICO now, bounty hunters are often deceived.
it became very difficult to choose a worthy project. we have to participate in a large number of bounty, not to miss a worthwhile project.

I just think that with the bull and so many people seeing how much you can end up making from cryptocurrencies, a lot of people started putting out coins into the market with projects that they cannot sustain and when the projects started to fail they could not do anything to save them, and along with these failed projects came a lot of failed bounties
