Seems like a lot of people here lack reading comprehension. You cannot flip Ethereum for x4–x6 returns. Ethereum USD value could increase with Bitcoin's, however, its BTC price could stay the same (or increase slightly). This is evident through trading history and past charts.
I wouldn't recommend a single coin/token; if you want such returns, follow the hype on exchanges, and wait for the right time to jump on board. When a bull trend comes, it will surely pump in price (just avoid shitcoins, unless you know what you are doing).

based on what i have been experiencing in the past couple of months. this year in general (2018) is the year of those coins that have a high rank in coinmarketcap.com
these coins have been getting pumped and dumped just like the rest of them on top but at the same time these coins did it a lot faster than the big ones on top so they reached the bottom and ended their bubbles so much faster. that meant they got ready for their next pumping phase also faster which is where their profit comes from.

in my opinion if I may suggest, ETH has the potential for long-term investment, and also I suggest Ripple (XRP) this coin is trending and the graph is very good of course the potential to invest both long and short term. :)

You can buy ETH and bitcoin on pieces or decimal, you don't need to buy them in whole but if you don't like them for being expensive for 1 coin then there are tons of altcoins and tokens under 1 dollar and some of them are hidden gems of their own time once they boom, Xrp is one of the great choices since it is proven to tag along the top, exchange coins like bnb is good as they grow over time, you can also look for ICO tokens, you will get a great deals but the repercussions is great if you are not careful enough.

Most of the altcoins are currently down in price and if you really want to makes good profits in few years to come you should invest now that there still very cheap.  Lisk is one of my favorite trading coins and I could still remember making some profits from the market through lisk last year.  It went to as high as $31 dollars last year and it is below three dollars now.  You can actually invest in lisk now and makes some good money when the bullish trend resume.

I think XRP seems undervalued right now, so maybe I'd go with that one. It's due a price surge. ETH also looks undervalued.

They are a lot of coins in the market that you can buy and get to x2 or x4 but need to research of which are those probably are worth to buy. As of now ill recommend is to choose those in top 10 coins in the market because those are trusted and for a longterm coins.

Monero it is actually in my list and I still hold some of it. Being one of the top 20 altcoins, I'm in no doubts that investors will look into its potentiality.
