Cryptocurrency transactions has been on the rise in the philippines.

They are already accepted 5 cryptocurrency company in the country and approximately planning to give license for atleast 25 companies to operate in the philippines.

With the current government administration they are starting to adopt and build even in the technological infrastructure.

In more years to come the country will be more open to blockchain technology like japan and other countries.

It's a nice thing to know that Philippines now are becoming more open into Bitcoin and crypto currency business. Also this is a good news to all crypto enthusiast who lived  in the country. Moreover, some of the banks in this country are now doing the adoption of cryptocurrency like Unionbank and PNB also are planning to do the same thing for what the unionbank did.

In philippines there were already some licensed crypto currency exchanges, wallets and other platforms dealing with crypto.
It is good to know more governments are allowing their people to adopt crypto without any severeness, this act will also encourage other governments towards crypto adoption

Yup, Philippines is very friendly to crypto and they have this exchanges coins.ph who's the number 1 trading platform, AFAIK. And with another 5 in the pipeline, there's no doubt that they're positioning themselves to be a global crypto hub so that's a good news for all Filipinos who's into crypto.

wow its good to hear about that. Philippines are now accepting cryptocurrency. Its good to the economy of the Philippines to have a transaction like this but I think it is not legal but they are free to have a transactions. Hopefully, in the future they will follow the steps of japan and south korea to be open about crypto market because many opportunities will come to the citizens of the philippines.

Countries are slowly warming up to the idea of crypto money. Some countries have acted more quickly and have made serious progress. The first one will provide more advantages.

 Yes Philippines starting now to accept crypto currency but selected area only not the entire Philippines , and base on my research as of now bitcoin can be use only as a payment method through fast-food  and selected groceries aroud manila. But it's a good start , because for sure in the near future more filipino will adopt cyrpto currency because of being so useful and friendly used especially when it comes withdrawal, sending money and buying goods.

It is a good thing that the government and its people in the Philippines are very welcome and interested in cryptocurrency even when some are trying to make it as a pyramid scam(a news that I have heard at the start of the year). I even heard that the famous boxer and senator Manny Pacquiao is starting to make an ICO of his own though I doubt it will be popular. But the idea of cryptocurrency and its exchanges is pretty much accepted in the country.

Based on news the growth in the first and second quarter of the year is very excellent. So we are expecting more this 4th quarter.

And the anti money laundering team will regulate and watch the transaction tightly to prevent the dirty money.

This is good to protect the investors and companies from possible hacking and system sabotage.

It is very good news to us, as a filipino and a supporter of cryptocurrency. In fact manny pacquaio planning to create our very own crypto coin. See,  this is only the beginning of the growth of our country when it comes to this field.

I think crypto focus does have to be in Asian countries, because Asian countries have considerable enthusiasm in crypto and most Asian countries are not conflict states that will not affect crypto too much.

To answer your question, Our President is neutral about crypto and doesn’t have direct political agenda with it. He is a man who values more of what best and that can help its people. Can’t be controlled by the financial officials or more importantly by oligarchs.

    

i believe that eventually we will see majority of countries in the world do the same thing as Japan did last year and adopt bitcoin with ease but unfortunately this may take a couple of years since there is still a lot of resistance against adoption of something decentralized.
we are on a good path though. with most advanced countries already showing positivity towards bitcoin.

There would really be a resistance yet we know decentralized things should followed governments laws before they would be adopted.Good to see these positive steps but

That's a great news, this condition is good for the growth of crypto in Phillippines. I think this condition will make crypto more popular in Phillippines. We are waiting for the other countries to start accepting crypto so the market of crypto will be better.

Absolutely some heart warming news and great gain for crypto generally. I wish other countries of the world could just take a cue from the Philippines and adopt crypto massively. It would result in a more healthy ecosystem and more people will tend to invest in the space.

This is very nice since I am here and I could freely use cryptocurrencies without the fear of getting caught or something. Some of you that are in other countries that forbids crypto should live and go here because you can live freely and getting rich by using crypto is easy and also things here are so cheap.

For now, yes, the main focus of the cryptosphere should be Asia. But since some asian countries have already started to embrace cryptocurrencies making the adoption phase arrive sooner than we expected in those countries, I wouldn't be surprised if the countries outside of Asia are just simply waiting to see how cryptocurrencies perform on countries with a tight regulatory framework to see how things develop on a major scale.

Depending on how this new asian cryptocurrency boom develops in the long-term (most likely either Japan or South Korea will become the mecca for cryptos), the focus of the market will shift to those countries and govt that are still hesitant to embrace cryptos.

Philippines being one among the country which has got a large number of cryptocurrency users compared to that of various countries that are well developed compared to Phillipines. With this such an adoption over Phillipines is no longer a big news. We need more countries to adopt and lead towards growth.

Honestly it is the smartest decision any country can do. You are getting many companies working with up to billions of dollars in their exchanges and mines and so forth in crypto, if you accept them to your country and give them a crypto friendly environment to work within and help them out with any tax or governmental things you will be the winner in the end.

Best case scenario those companies will prosper in your country and pay millions of taxes every year, worse case scenario they will go bankrupt or get hacked and what not and you will get taxes from them for a while and than they will close shop and leave. In both cases you are the winner, you get taxes from them and make money thanks to them, why would any government ever say no to more taxes? Taxes makes what a country run properly and if you are getting more taxes you should always say yes.

It is not only the Philippines are announcing this one in fact canada also added some good local exchanges for the cryptocurrency. This will become for sure can turn a good impact in the market.

I am also happy with the Philippines which is starting to accept BTC in their country. Because I, who also came from Southeast Asia, could not feel the impact like the government legalized BTC, because in my own country according to Wikipedia it is still illegal to circulate BTC, and I hope in the future my country can follow your country to accept BTC as a payment tool.

Yeah , I have seen that most of the ICO's are also being created in the Philippines because that country is getting more and more crypto friendly. So off course we can judge from that Philippines are getting some more attentions and regulations being done.
Though they are saying around 5 crypto currency are being regulated in that country then also I would say it is completely positive about all the currencies out there. There is no such thing as regulating 5 crypto or 6 crypto. If government is showing positive spark about few of them then ulimtaley the market opens for almost all the currencies.

The first company who was approved in the Philippines was,

Betur Inc. known as Coins.ph which was given a license september  2017.
Second is the Rebittance Inc. was also approved Oct. 2017
The third one is Blossoms solutions approved last May 2018.
Etranss and Virtual Currency Philippines Inc approved also this year who was supporting bitcoin and etherium.

It's nice to know that after receiving negative comments due to investments scam last year, the government continue to accept companies to operate. It is the start of the digital currency era in the phils.

if the Philippines does this, then it will have a good impact on the weather of cryptocurrency investment, because that will increase the confidence of new investors to invest the money they have in cryptocurrency commodities, besides this will also make the Philippines more foreign exchange from taxes for every transaction of cryptocurrency that occurs

I think as long as the government gets their percentage, I think they are willing to take a different type of business, cryptocurrency related company, to grow here. We all know the cryptocurrency in the Philippines is just starting and a lot of people are starting to get into it here. The problem here in the Philippines, in my opinion, is the biased look at Bitcoin. Now and then I experience when I mention I know Bitcoin and I am pretty involved with it, they are worried and think that it's a scam because that's what they heard in the local news, and it's not true. I get easily frustrated with it knowing that it's the PEOPLE that use Bitcoin to scam people and not the technology itself. It's just really irritating, and a lot of people have closed their minds on it. I hope people would change their ways to the outward look on Bitcoin.

good news for countries in Southeast Asia such as Philippines has legalized crypto in his country and has licensed the company. I hope that many countries also follow such as Philippines, for example Indonesia, hopefully later they can also follow the footsteps of Philippines.

Yes now cryptocurrency is being exchange all over the worlds as people are accepting it and getting benefit out of it, for me it is not new thing because Philippines has been found since long using bitcoin, cryptocurrency gives good resources of making well developed nations, right now almost all over the world several countries are accepting the reality of bitcoin, I am dreaming to see it as world currency.

This is a good trend. I have heard that there are a lot of freelancers in Philippines. Development of crypto will help these guys as well as it will help them accept payments from clients all over the world anonymously, Thus I am in favor of the development taking place there.

It's a big advantage for countries that have a big tourism industry to accept crypto. Tourism brings in huge sums of money to receiving countries, and accepting crypto will definitely increase national income earning. This is an interesting development.

Crypto are welcome by the banks here you can exchange coins to fiat and fiat to coins but the problem is banks wont allow you to open an account if your income came from cryptocurrency meaning the banks are semi nuetral in the issue of cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency is actually legal here in our country. A lot of establishments are accepting bitcoin here and diffenrent transactions are having cryptocurrency as a mode of payment. If a lot of countries would accept it, life would be lighter and easier I guess.

Yes philippines started to accept cryptocurrencies in some matters like paying and buying some like through loads in a smartphones.,Our banks BSP is also adopting and using crypto as a mood of investment.
          So were hoping it can really make some countries too to adopt and supports crypto because it helps us through the better.

Even if it is a small country, is it not a good start to see smaller countries trying to make a good thing for themselves. I see a country that is trying hard to at least benefit from the space and smart enough to know this is something that can be beneficial to their economic growth entirely.

It is obvious that this is the path in the long run that most countries will start following and while some may end up being late to the show, but one thing is certain, we will get to see a whole lot of countries, realizing what they have been missing all along and trying to also put in some effort into being a crypto friendly space as well.

Indeed Philippines is well developed country and it will surely make the value of bitcoin and all other crypto currency bigger than before. It is not something new for me, same as Philippines there are thousands of countries who are accepting the worth and value of bitcoin, recently same as Philippines America has adopted bitcoin so it is time to see revaluation.

I am very happy because this is a strategic area in Southeast Asia. hopefully there will be an event that can encourage this region to get to know bitcoin and blockchain technology. Indonesia maybe next, hopefully.

I hope that the other country in Asia will follow the Philippines to accept and adopt cryptocurrency and when this is happening, the cryptocurrency will grow fast in Asia country and it will go for the other country in the world. I think the world is ready to accept cryptocurrency and they cannot deny the existence of the cryptocurrency because cryptocurrency can give many benefits to their people and perhaps, the country will get some benefits too. I hope that from 5 companies it will increase to 10 next year. I see others dont believe it because of negative publicity of mainstream media this year. Bitcoin is adopted in the philippines in 2013 but it was not announced in public and operating silently. I hope all other countries is open to every innovation especially in financial aspects like accepting digital currencies which is slowly entering into our everyday activities and adoption will continue without having problems into regulations, we need to rely in technology to stop abuse in financial systems we need digital currency. 

While some countries are still hesitant in accepting cryptocurrencies, some countries are welcoming it with open arms which is a good thing because we need acceptance which would eventually lead to mass adoption. I have no doubt about that. I don't see that crypto currencies will be able to strengthen our country's economy since there are far more root of it though it is a great step since it will open up a new door for more money to enter the country. Even though Bitcoin is legal on our country, it is only popular to some places since not all of the place can adopt to that certain technology. For example, our province is not really open to this crypto currency. Most of the people don't even know that certain technology exists in the world.

the legality of bitcoin in the Philippines has limitations specially when the banks involved yes there are some establishments who accepts bitcoin as mode of payment but it does not mean that there is a hundred percent of legality, when a person wants to open an account to the bank and his source of income is cryptocurrency he is hundred percent rejected to his application.

Correct, I was also experienced this personally when I plan to open an account in the Bank since I have my income in crypto. When their staff interviewed me and start gathering personal information at that time she asks me if were my source of income comes from, and if from cryptocurrencies they did not allow me to open an account if they know they have a right to forfeit my fund in my account. I'm so afraid of what she said to me and I back out.
Hopefully, those Banks will be united to the people who used bitcoin and other cryptos as a source of income.

Some governments that recently banned the use of bitcoin seems to have changed their minds ad one of them is China. One of China's arbitration court ruled in favor of bitcoin and it said that everyone has the right to own cryptocurrency. Yes its true that here in the Philippines there are few business company who accepts cryptocurrency, but there are still more people here in the Philippines that is unfamiliar with cryptocurrency and in bitcoin, that is why it wil take long before every store here will start to accept cryptocurrency as a transaction.

Every government when it legalizes something that was previously illegal will have a special attraction for someone who knows it. They will be curious about the functions and risks that have been talked about by many people about cryptocurrency, and surely if they know cryptocurrency in a good way, I mean they read cryptocurrency information from a trusted source so it will give a good effect on the assessment that they will feel. Unless if someone wants to know cryptocurrency, but he lives in a country that still rejects cryptocurrency, then he learns more about negative information about cryptocurrency. So, I hope that all countries can provide opportunities for their people to assess cryptocurrency well and it would be better for the government to support it.

It's a good news. I hope when a country has accepted bitcoin and it's legally accepted as the currency, another country will also do the same. I also seen on news that one fuel station starts accepting bitcoin in the Philippines, so adoption is slowly progressing.

Actually the country of the philippines is not a strict country when compare to other asian countries , thats why the government is open to new ideas or technology and one example is the adoption of cryptos .

In Bitcoin ATM i think the recent news was they are upgrading it into a two way bitcoin ATM with you can convert btc to fiat and fiat to bitcoin something like that. I lost the link of the news. I will try to research it again so that i can share it here.

Its not surprising, they were jusy happy because not all country accept and adopts cryptocurrency and many people are excited because of more users, more traders and investors.

Phillippines is a country in southeast asia which is open for new technology, that are being launched and introduced, if it is true that it is accepting and adopting cryptocurrency then this is good for the people there in the Philippines who are holders of cryptos ,so they use their coins comfortably is this country will really adopt crypto.

As far as I know in the country of the Philippines they did not have any tax regarding Bitcoin, only users can pay taxes when it comes converting fiat from Bitcoin and they pay tax when they buy goods from it. The Philippines is now having the largest adoption on Bitcoin and other technology besides they have a wallet that regulated and they must pass a KYC required. Well, In my own opinion. As of now, Bitcoin is not legal yet it can be used as a transaction in the Philippines. Regarding to your research that they used bitcoin in fast food and groceries I do not think they implement to used it. I know that in other countries like South korea they used it as a payment method but in the Philippines its not yet used like that.However, hopefully they can use it that way because for me its a sign of developing countries.

There is still no official announcements from the government of the Philippines regarding this matter. But perhaps if this thing will be happen, probably more people from this country will be happy for this news since they are already some people who have been doing some activities in crypto space.

Just go to salcedo street in makati sir/mam where you can see a bitcoin atm and a small merchants also accepting a bitcoin also in makati and bgc taguig. They were not featuring it in mainstream media because it is not legalized in the phils.

For me I think the thing here is for Asian countries like the Philippines, they don't have that much to lose if they become in full support when it comes to the cryptocurrency industry. Unlike this European countries who are developed they take things like this more slowly as it takes much time deliberating on what is the right approach on supporting this kind of industry as it could really affect their economy in a bad way when they rush decisions without really thinking this through.
