Bitcoins is here to stay after 10 years of existence with all the setbacks from governments, financial institutions , media and even cryptocurrency traders. A system of payment that has existed for 10 years can't be doubted as a ponzi scheme, fraud or scam as stipulated by many naysayers. Hurray!

modern money system take hundreds of year to get to current state. so far crypto take this quite okay. time will tell how far it will take us.

A ponzi scheme, fraud or scam can survive and thrive for as long as a decade. That of course does not in any way imply that bitcoin is such.
On the contrary I find such accusations baseless.

Bitcoin would be ten in a couple of months, today, ten years ago, bitcoin's whitepaper was released and we gleamed for the first time to idea of a decentralized currency which would disrupt the financial sector. And ten years, later. Bitcoin has not only survived but inspired a lot of other cryptocurrencies with varying degrees of success.

Gaining acceptance as a financial protocol, especially a decentralized one and while there is an already established currency is a daunting task. But BTC has made significant progress.

The only thing you can be certain of is that nothing is certain. Bitcoin is not a scam and people have made money with it, but it also has a variety of flaws that prevent it from achieving universal acceptance atm, the most apparent being lack of practicality (few businesses accept it), and insecurity (exchanges can be hacked and keys can be lost- no one guarantees your money). Once these two problems are figured out the new world cryptocurrency will have been established.

Well nothing can really tell whats the truth behind crypto and bitcoin because 10 years is a small numbers if the objective is to make big affect in any sides of the plan.

But for me as I trusted this community and i trust the technology behind cryptocurrency,all i want to say is congratulations to all of us who stays,and to those who leaves

yes, the government always trying to make bitcoin weak and fall, but, every government creates FUD, the popularity of bitcoin is getting better.

Yeah, btc has been called ponzi or scam countless times in past years. If bitcoin was a ponzi, it would not stay exist in crypto world now.
But sadly, there were some peoples use crypto for creating ponzi and scam projects to steal money from others.

10-year bitcoin has survived and this indeed proves that bitcoin still has popularity, does not destroy the system and is not a fraud. Bitcoin is the same as the money we use every day and it shows that bitcoin should have legality in every country.

Bitcoin may be ten years old in terms of discovery but I will want to look at it as being just one year old. It had its greatest exposure and attention in 2017 and since then has come under a heavy knife with criticisms here and there. I guess all that have occasioned the very dip we are witnessing today with Bitcoin. Let's see how we pass this sordid year and into 2019 before we can pop a champaign.

the way bitcoin has been around however is a clear proof of its value. and that way is being strong all these years, still growing and being adopted by a lot of people, businesses,... you see in the end it will all come down to utility and adoption. and bitcoin has had both of them. and that's why it is here to stay.

In one decade I think bitcoin already proved that it's power will stay for a long time. That was because of us,who are believing and still believing at bitcoin. I think until we support and use bitcoin,bitcoin will always exist. Until all the people have a dreams and goals bitcoin will exist because bitcoin serve as a bridge to achieve all of it. we are not yet at 10 years but this is still a good milestone in bitcoin history and is proving to all the naysayers that they were mistaken and also proves all the newbies who fell for their lies that they should not have listened to them in first place and trusted their own judgment instead.

Bitcoin is ten years and it is worthy of note that it has stood the test of time. I don't think there is any challenge that bitcoin cannot overcome. Some governments, financial institutions and other people have expressed certain degrees of hatred for bitcoin and bitcoin has overcome all.

we already knew this a very long time ago when the network was at least a couple of months old and it was functioning properly as it was supposed to. I am talking about the time of Hal Finney and early days of bitcoin. and then we were assured of its strength when they started attacking bitcoin in the media and calling it names and talk about its "death", that was a clear sign that bitcoin is a power that they are scared of and is here to stay.

Bitcoin able to survive for 10 years which is good sign for us to keep supporting it. 10 years isn't short period of time and it means a lot to the existence of bitcoin. This is a proof that bitcoin will last longer and we shouldn't doubt about it.

10 years is not the time to say it all, because we do not understand the whole truth behind it, but I still believe in this community and it will give me a brighter future.

I heard so many things about bitcoin and the worst is "Bitcoin is a scam". I never believe, I prove in myself it is not true when I engage myself to crypto. Until now, there is many people still have negative thinking about bitcoin. They think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme and a buble. But bitcoin already prove can survive in 10 years and reach hundreds billion dollar market cap.

I don't know much about bitcoin only few months ago know about it and read its history and can say it that bitcoin make himself more promising and more trusting thats why mostly people's are investing.

There is no need to listen for those btc haters as they are not worth to interact with them. Considering that btc has been existing for 10 years, there is no need to doubt btc in general as it has proven it's worth by simply checking the btc market history and it's milestone.

There will be always people, who tell Bitcoin is a bubble, no matter how many years old it is. But if we think about it, 10 years is really nice, many people wouldn't have thought this. I think it will live many more decades.

Bitcoin is still on its early stage of existence and I believe that more improvements and challenges are coming for the leading cryptocurrency. The fudders and bashers may still be around to resume their nasty habit of destroying bitcoin but I believe that the no.1 cryptocurrency will survive it and continue to lead the market for more years. 10 years is not a short time for Bitcoin, it needs a big struggle on Bitcoin because for 10 years Bitcoin has always been mixed with various issues and finally Bitcoin has survived to this day. Bitcoin has survived so far because many countries have recognized crypto as a digital asset as you say, if there is no country that legalizes Bitcoin then the age of Bitcoin will not be up to 10 years.

The Internet had the same growing pains in the beginning and it became a global phenomenon. It is still being used for scams and child pornography and most crimes, but the good practices are outweighing the bad practices and governments are using it too.

Indeed, Bitcoin is here to stay. 10 years is a lot and definitely it proved its maturity in time. Stability is a good sign during all the year 2018, even if the price stabilized at lower values. For early adopters, 6k-7k is still a good range.

as long as the people is the only one who make bad reputation about bitcoin it is really hard to bring the bitcoin down specially when the market has always something to surprise us. Within  the 10 year bitcoin has never embarrassed us although there are some downfall with the price it is still has a good value.

Those people who spread rumors about bitcoin are the ones who depends from bank sector and money from there. Like Satoshi said we don`t need third party services, we don`t need to trust them or not, now we have cryptographic proof. Governments are on the one side, p2p networks and little freedom to people is on bitcoin side. Bitcoin survived for 10 years, and bitcoin will live for many more years, there will be more lies and fud, but people who recognize blockchain will hold together, nothing can`t bring us down.

The 10years time period is enough to prove bitcoin's competence. It has stood the test of times and i believe there is more to happen in the coming years.

I think you are a year advanced because bitcoin was only created in 2009 but yes, it is nearing it's 10th year so it's safe to say at this point that it has proven its strong staying power already. Amidst all the chaos since it was created and introduced, it still stays. Unfortunately, it will still take a while for mass adoption of bitcoin to happen and hopefully, it still stays until it's fully adopted globally.

We can't just remove those bad people and i think that they were just also part of the economy. I could never imagined that now bitcoin reached 1 decade despite of many critics, and most people said it is scams and now they are one of us, because they saw that bitcoin can't be stop to give innovation in terms of blockchain technology, even some of the government banned bitcoin then in the end they've revoked it instead, they ride in the concepts of bitcoin has up to the present. I dont think bitcoin as pyramid or ponz, it is a currency. But bitcoin is mostly used as a currency in underground, that's why there are many peoples who still afraid to use bitcoin as a currency.

Maybe it will be the saying of other people specially right now that bitcoin falls on 5,500 usd. They will say that it is a ponzi scheme or a fraud because it fools thousand of people who invest in cryptocurrency. I am disappointed in bitcoin amd other top altcoins because they cannot sustain their price by the end of this year. Bitcoin is still genuine eventhough it drops its price by 1,500$ . I think many investors still stay in bitcoin investments because they still have the hope that it may comeback its price maybe by next year. However some are panicking in decreasing of its price.

I am sure that next year everything will return to normal and coin coins will begin to experience price increases. the panic occurred because they did not believe in the coins they held so they sold them at cheap prices and lost.

Most of those people who panic weren't here in the early years. I wasn't too but I went on and looked at the previous bubbles. There were much bigger ones than this recent one and they always were followed by a big and long bear market. In 2011 Bitcoin reached 28 dollars and went back to 2 dollars! Did it die? Did it disappear? No.

This is the main reason why I support bitcoin until now. Among all the innovations of mankind, this technology is what I believe that will continue to live with our society. Every setback that bitcoin faces, will make this industry stronger than ever. And even though the demand and prices these days isn't that great, we all know that this is temporary.

Yes, Bitcoin has grown so big that now it is the only thing that could destroy itself and there is no external power that has this ability. Still, Bitcoin has a long way to go in terms of development and actual ground level use of it. Yes, it is proved. Bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme nor a bubble. A Ponzi scheme never can stay for such a long time with the growing popularity! Most of the country accepted bitcoin and they will adapt with it, Bitcoin showed a big signal that it can go to an incredibly high mark anytime, so bitcoin has a greater future than now! I feel lucky that I got bitcoin early and I trusted it blindly.

After 10 years of its existence bitcoin is still here and I do believe that it will stay until the end of crypto currency and bitcoin will be the last crypto currency to fall if ever crypto currency will stop in existing anymore because being the king of crypto currency all crypto currencies market values depends on bitcoins current market value also so before bitcoin goes down all the rest of crypto currencies must first go down before bitcoin does.
