Personally, i would go with the cryptos which are less way than a dollar per token/coin.
Incase there is an up trend like one that happened in late 2017, be very certain to make thousands to millions of dollars depending on your initial investment. I would mostly look at coins/Tokens that haven't yet shown their full potential since they entered the market during the bearish period and include a few old coins too.
The new entrants would include:

Ethereum no matter how big it looks has the biggest potential right now. The mining sector is moving back to bitcoin and going away from gpu mining with the drop of the prices, the small investors in crypto mining is seeing this as a reason to sell their cards and get out of the mining game, this can't continue forever and the price has to go up to make it worthwhile for the miners, also the ICO's are long gone, there isn't a new one people are investing currently which means there needs to be a price increase and a bull run to make it worth investing into ICO's again and when that happens the price will go up again to sustain constant buys from investors who send it to ICO's. Combine these two and you have yourself a x3 price increase in ETH easily and that is amazing for a big coin like eth.

I consider promising for investment coins that have appeared on the market this year and have not yet had a pamp. As well as coins that slowly increase the volume of trades.

Seeing that 2019 is only a few weeks away, I doubt if there would be too much change in the top cryptocurrencies from what we have now. Nobody know what is going to happen, however, if the bearish market continues, expect the status quo to remain the same. With BTC on top, followed by the likes of Eth, Tether, XMR, XLM, etc... I expect new coins/token to struggle.

I still have doubts about 2019, I don't want to be greedy and hope for a few coins. even I hold ETH and now it still seems stagnant there is no sign of going up. this is so bad.

Its still better to choose stable coins since it has better potential than new coins. Stable coins have a good support from community and the demand is continuously growing since lots of people are having it. You can also trade this kind of coin in multiplre exchanges  in one platform like bitgap. Just be sure that after buying, you shoukd be storing it in a secure wallet. Either hardware wallet or open source software will be a best choice. Since I recommend multiple coins, you can choose HODLER wallet or Electrum if you just prefer Bitcoin.

Yes. I want to have all of those tokens with large amount in my wallets since they are the ones who have a better feature than everything I have seen while looking at most ICO.
Most of them are just like copies and not even as unique as what you have in your list. The future beholds to those tokens which be a great help to push the crypto industry more into small investors and merchants.

I want to add Stellar and Gochain , they are big , by checking XLM you will find out it has been more attractive to ICOs than before and its volume is increasing by the time , I think Gochain has a good project also and worth a look and investigation .

I think ethereum will be the most pump cryptocurrencies coming 2019. Ethereum is currently a little above $210 and that means it is currently undervalued because some were this year it went above $1400.
Litecoin will also perform very well next year as it is also currently undervalued and if you can take the risk and buy at $50 you are going to make good profits in future if it get to the  level it was last year ending.

Ethereum is a good technology in crypto market but this performance is not well bin this year. So I expect stellar and EOS is best altcoins in 2019 because these two performance is nice to see in this year so all are says it will move to right way. Bitcoin is a forever promising platform so we should not consider in this list.

For me, I prefer to invest cryptocurrency in Cardano and Ziliqa. Because have the great team of academics behind that project and the team has done diligent work to ensure that has everything needed to be a major force in the future. So, we can see some serious development and a huge potential in the future.

Without doubt, Stellar (XLM) will be on the list. They are even giving out $125,000,000 for free to Blockchain wallet users and I bet this move will attract a lot of people, and not just people but investors too. No one can tell you the exact currencies which might be profitable in 2019 but i will suggest to pick from top 20 in the coin market cap. Also you can choose from the hidden gems which have small market cap and tend to be 2x , 3x if the volume is increased.

This coins are still best to invest BTC, BCH, DASH, LTC, ERC. Coins such as this will be valuable since the demand and community is continuously growing.

I am also investing in the ADA. Actually the ADA is a very good investment because I have appreciated a lot since 4 months ago. I didn't read the whole article. I just find what are the "Most Promising Cryptocurrencies" that are listed there. I'm surprised why Bitcoin isn't there whereas it is the most trusted cryptocurrency at this moment.

The whole article is bad and it is an information for the masses again. An article for the newbies who are believing that these coins are good to invest next year. Yeah maybe some will probably rise but I will put most of my money into Bitcoin first before these coins.

I think list is pretty fair, most of the coins they listed will rise a lot in future, they even have nice and elaborated explanations why they think this coins can bring good profit. I have them already, this article didn't bring nothing new, most of the things we already know, this is for newcomers and people who didn't invest in crypto until now.

Ofcourse some altcoins will still to invest in 2019 and more valuable in 2019 but now we can't stop the bullrun of the market but we have to wait what will gonna happen till next year.

I think no matter what type of small coin you want to invest in, never exceed %5 of your portfolio, I mean if they out pace all others and get bigger than you can certainly see them grow over 5% of your portfolio yourself in which case it is fine but while buying never spend more than 5% of your investment into just one coin. I would still suggest keeping most of your lion share at big coins like bitcoin, ethereum, dash, litecoin and so forth.

I am still in love with ethereum and what it can achieve, right now there are many more new stuff used for it like companies built on the ethereum blockchain and games made into ethereum blockchain and even this new cryptokitties type collectibles thing going around. The only coin I will agree with you based on the list you have just made is XRP. I don’t know about the others and I don’t trust coins I know nothing about. XRP is cheap and it has been around for long time and moved from the lowest position to being the third best coin in the market. I won’t be surprised if it beats Ethereum soon. I would still go for what is well known which is bitcoin. As for me, there is no better coin than bitcoin and ethereum. As much as I hate it, ripple has performed near the best of any crypto in 2018 and I see that continuing to 2019. Large institutions are adopting their framework and they'll enjoy the centralized nature of the token. Bitcoin may be more promising but the lack of control is a big risk for them.

I think it is better to choose bitcoin because we can make a lot of money from bitcoin. Besides that, I am sure that we can make money from this situations because bitcoin price is up and down and the difference of the bitcoin price is big to trade. But in the previous history we saw a lot of coins which became the best coins within their first year of development. We do not have to look at the age of the coins for investment in them but we have to look at the projects and the potentials of these projects for the future and its success.

Besides Ripple (XRP). EOS will certainly be an altcoin that has very good potential in 2019, apart from the fact that currently EOS is widely used by several new ICO projects

I guess the best one needs to be BTC itself, because the dirty fear that's been played out over innocent traders by the big bears needs to be settled before any other crypto really shows some movement. The ones discussed on the 1st page of this thread, i.e. Pundi, Hot, (and my choices Qnt, Sharder, etc.) and even Ethereum needs BTC to hold the supremacy and move on, because then only the confidence of investors will remain intact in crypto sphere and they'll try to hodl, else everyone will try to get out of them in panic and will later regret over their decision. Patience pays off, and so we need patience with any good project we invest in, just like Rome wasn't built in one day, so didn't Bitcoin go straight up from $1 to $20k, it took almost 8 years for that to happen.

indeed some of the lists on the site are coins that have good growth, especially XRP and are recommended for investment, but if the market situation is in bearish then strategy and analysis is important so that investment can get maximum profit.

I believe there will be no such coin is existing till now. Because each and every coin/token has suffered big downfall in this bearish market and all famous coins are having a large communities but I'm not sure what you mean by rapid growth, it is happening with many coins time to time but there will be no possibility for a coin to have rapid growth all the times. We do not look for any new thing to invest with but we must invest with bitcoins so that we can be sure about definite returns for our capital.

Bitcoin must be only promising coin for me as I am seeing most others are just time movers. Ethereum has invented its own platform hence it may find its surviving methodologies but I am afraid about all other coins. They have one or two specific reasons for their existence which may not be enough to have continuous supporters. People pump and then dump them over the time and after some long period they may not remain attractive for new investors.

I think almost all of the legit coins now will grow this year once the market turns to the opposite movement.
We need a bullish trend in order for everything to recover, and I would like to back on the Ethereum for that as it was really affected last year, it brings the price to a low price which is $80.

At least for me, 2019 doesn't look like a great year to invest. There is some fear that a global financial turmoil can happen this year or next year.

Nano and Dent seem like strong contenders for investment, though I am still doing my research on these as I don't fully yet understand the problems the tech solves or if there would be enough incentive downstream for buyers to pay a premium price on the tokens.

The truth is that those 3 coins are the only ones I am sure are going to be here for a long time all the rest of the coins lack the necessary support from the community and could always be replaced by something else or by one of the 3 coins at the top adopting some of the features that make those coins unique, so investing in any coin besides those 3 is a huge gamble that may not be successful.

I think its better to conduct your own research about promising coins because as of now we can't see what coin will be the best for this year. Its quite hard to look what is promising coins right because until now the market is not yet recover and as of now the price of top cryptocurrencies is still on down trend.

So far, tron's been the strongest in my stash and i don't think it's strong run would only be for january. The bittorrent token release is a big step forward and though many don't really take trx seriously, i think it can move further up cmc. Probably to number 7 to 5?

There are lots of good coins to invest in 2019. One of these coins that I have been watching is Tron(TRX)  as it continues the strong run, been following up on Cointelegraph.com and other sites and I have also invested in this coin. It’s really promising and I will always place my bet on it. And as for BTC, that’s always for sure, I don’t miss out on BTC, it’s always the number one thing to talk about before taking about altcoins. Another coin to watch out for is Cardano (ADA), the selling has subsided, so we probably should expect a trend change.

Cryptocurrency is already all about risk. There was a time Bitcoin itself was at that same level, but people still believed in it and kept on taking the risks of investing on what they are not sure about and today it’s in possession of half of the whole market cap. So that’s the same for these altcoins, there are a lot of them that are promising and I don’t see anything wrong in giving them try. You will never know till you step out the comfort zone.

I agree with the top coins. Ethereum, Ripple, Stellar, Cardano, Tron, and other top coins are very promising to gain profits. They are also quite safe to be the option for investment since their market caps are in a good amount and those are the favorite coins for most investors or traders. 

Every coin in the coinmarketcap or the market is the best coin you can buy because all coins will increase although we don't know how higher the price can go. But it depends on how much money you have and make sure that before you buy any coins, you should analyze and decide to buy a cheap coin or expensive coins so you can directly buy the coins. And don't forget to not buy the coin with all in of your money because you need to have free money in your balance to prevent if there are any down for the price so you can buy more the coin.

I would agree with you on ETH, but not on XRP. ETH will definitely go up, as it is having a virtual monopoly among the platforms. Obviously there is only BTC, and BTC will go up up and up just like gold did, the point is to not just hold, but day trade and predict the 100$-2000$ moves either way like I did few days ago, I shorted at 8100$ because by my TA it was time to crash, which it did after last spike to 8400 and a  huge drop to 7125$.

BTC along with the next top coins are good to hold, they will not be in their spot for no reason. Having see BTC incline in price this past days can also reflect alts prices.
