Year 2018 seems to have the most prolonged dip from what i have seen so far. Some people had serious loss along the line; some vowed never to invest in cryptocurrency again; some sold all their assets and left.
Your encounters though might seem not encouraging, but do you know that you are better of than the person that is just coming in, because of what you now know.
Let go of your mistakes, but whenever you remember them, tell yourself it is not yet over, the crypto space will still get better and you will be glad you're still in the system.

I share your sentiments brother. It apparently has never been this ugly but the point is that amidst the gloomy days there are vital lessons to learn which would help one to to be to navigate this space in the event that there is a repeat of this in the near future

And then just try to forget your horrible experience with crypto in the past and try to learn from your experience. So many people are not having good mentalism have sold all of their assets very cheap and then imagine when the whales have bought them all and whales created huge profits.

A lot has truly happened. When you refuse to let go, there might not be a way forward. In the sense that, one might not be able to think straight on the next line of action, the solution to the problem and how to recover ones loss. At least i have seen some people who resorted to trading in order to recover their losses. Some people bought the dip and today they are in profit.

I know this year very bad because bearish market that lasted quite long. But I think this is just a natural selection to separate the people who really seriously love the world of crypto with people who only have interests at the moment and of the people who came out so quickly will regret in the end and who's survive will become the winner enjoy the blockchain technology that increasingly growing.

I truly have learned from all of my mistakes from the time I was trading crypto. Until now, I still have a lot of problems regarding on investing, but I hope that I will do better next.

We must understand that crypto is one of the types of financial activity, it is a business. Not everyone can successfully do this. This is not a lottery with easy money, but daily work. It has been a very long year lots of ups and downs its and the results of this year is recording more losses than the profit compared to last year but what is done is done and nothing can change that we just have to forge ahead for better things in the coming year

In life, there is a black stripe and white, since 2018 has become a black stripe in the world of cryptocurrency. Unfortunately, we can not change anything. But you have to admit that the one who believes in the blockchain, gathering his will into a fist, without turning around, will go further and ultimately receive more than he expected now.

We replay past mistakes over and over in our heads, allowing a sense of regret to shape our actions in the present. We cling to the negative and worry about the future as if it gives us strength. We create tension in our minds and then serious health problems.

To be sincere 2018 is a bad year for crypto also a very long bear market, many people feel they have lost a lot of many by investing in crypto but the truth is nobody lose until those asset your money are spent on are sold, what occur is only reduction of value.

I don't know if you are saying people should just let go of their coins and sell or if they should let go of the fact that the coins are going down and just wait because the latter is the better one, it is just that it is not easy to come to terms with losing so much money, that is why it is very hard for people to actually wait but with time we get better

It's been six months now, that I don't sell and I can not sell because of the market price, its hard when you planned to spend holiday from your gain of investment but its not the  reason that I should give up crypto.

Every successful investors would encounter both the good, the bad and the ugly like we have had in the crypto market this year, it has been a very crazy market considering what it looks like last year but in investment, it's either your investments increase in value or decrease, it's decreasing right now but it will increase again because I think bitcoin has hit it's lowest already and I hope it's already time for that consistent upward growth in crypto price though to 2019

Never give up to cryptocurrency. It's a great journey to be here and to those who almost gave up, you can almost give up but never give up! This trend is just getting started, think of it. The stock market is crashing and big traders from there are looking for a place to land their money safely for continuous movement and their choice would be crypto.

You are right. I feel depressed also thats why I sell some of mine but somehow left a little portion of it hoping still for its long term use. I know its still too early stage for the cryptocurrency and we are still at the opening era i think. There is yet to come great times for cryptocurrency where it will be in demand on upcoming years.

If the "prolonged dip" would mean filtering out unfaithful people in this space, then I would patiently wait even for another year more. Then we'll have optimistic people left here.

Facing this situation we are required to be more patient, in crypto, there are indeed many surprises and this is a test that must be faced, we still deserve to be here. As true crypto lovers, they never give up under any circumstances.

Up until today i still stay here in crypto, even though most of the coins that i had, loosing their price. But i still putting my faith in it an wait patiently until everything get better again.

This is indeed a difficult year. price reduction lasted long enough and certainly, it gives impact to everyone who entered to get great results on crypto. But if you understand will certainly crypto can see the potential that exists and will continue to persist in it to await the outcome in the long run.

I respect the fact that everyone has different goals but let me offer a different perspective.  Instead of investing on an expected time horizon of 6 months that allows you to cash out and go on a Holiday why not invest on a longer horizon (say 5-8 years) where you can then cash out an amount that you can invest into other income producing investments (read Money: Master the game" by tony robbins.  Use the income from those investments to go on as many holidays as you want while never having to work again.  Or give your time and money to great Charitable causes which will provide much Happiness.  This requires more patience but the rewards are much higher- the potential to earn yourself more free TIME.  Time is the most valuable commodity in the world.  Good luck!

You are right, this technology is very unique and the best part of this is we can make huge sum of profit like 1 is to 10. Disbelievers too are focusing on cryptos as the popularity is increasing daily basis, yes this is risky but I am sure it might be a life changer for us if we invest in cryptocurrency.

Come on... decline, profit, loss, is a natural thing. If we want to survive and succeed in the world of cryptocurrency, we must understand all the risks and determine the right strategy to overcome it. Do not give up easily. yes those things are really me nature, personally during this crypto flow I still have not felt a great loss, it's just that I feel selling the asset assets in value below, but still considered a profit even though it's small. Never again I will make the same mistake again. I want challenges, this kind of things never upsets me and in fact that kind of feelings is a weapon for me to counter what lies ahead. My friends already let go and never talked about the loses they have because it just deepens the cuts they've got, but I don't and we must not. Vowed never to invest? You will see those exact people jumping back on the train when the price has reached a new all time high. They will invest during that time and when the price starts to stabilize again and reach an average price, those investors will start crying. I don't get why they whine when the price falls. You should let everything go what happened in 2018. It was not the best year for every investors, but this year has gone and now we are entering the green market and 2019 would be awesome for the whole industry.

The part that he says "you may not be encouraged but you know more than people that is just starting" is so true. I have been around years and for the past 1 year there has been a lot of people that came into bitcoin world and into bitcointalk as well and almost all of them had two type of personalities.

One is the guy who keeps telling what bitcoin will do and how it will move and what not like they can predict because they look at some chart and assume they know what they are talking about but almost always fail. The other is the guy who keeps asking what to buy constantly so they could get rick very quickly thanks to your advice.

Both of them are quite wrong and anyone who spends a bit of time here and actually cares about reading the topics would know that the only thing we know in crypto is the fact that we know nothing about crypto.

Yes. I agree. There are times that we should know when to give up. Especially if the coin doesn't have its value anymore. On Ethereum's case, its different because it is the most famous and most used altcoin because of the format they offer. You should keep on believing (only for this coin).  8)

Yes, it is really not easy, every holder lost almost 80% of their money by holding crypto in 2018! Now some people are mocking on us who sold bitcoin at 17-19K USD! I know a man who tried to commit suicide by losing 87% of his investments! Only noobs can feel this is the end, this is just a bad time. Who knows what is waiting in 2019? Holding will be a bad choice only if you have chosen a wrong/shitcoin. Because, only such coins will not recover at any time soon. But, really all of us have learned very big lessons in 2018. But I'm not sure how many of us going to use those lessons for investing at least from here after.

You are right , the main thing was that we are still part of cryptocurrencies for better and worst. Some  people  just could not accept the fact  during the bearest time because they are so afraid of losing their investments.

Perhaps this embedding process is not as long as I thought. Because the period 2013-2014, the market is still more difficult. And somewhere. with a man with 10k BTC just by the piece of cake. Do they really feel regret or comfort themselves. I have never lost faith and hope in crypto and the BTC will continue its miraculous process. Get ready for the new year.

I strongly agree with your words, but I have been a little sorry lately that I have not followed the development of Crypto over the past few months, which is why I have not received any income. I will try to fight from now on.

For this year 2018, might not good for us who are investors of bitcoin. The market price goes down, we some have loss our profit or we can say that our income this year is not quite so good. But 2018 is near to come, it is the time for us to let go or move on and welcoming 2019 a prosperous income for us.

To be successful in crypto you have to hand around for some time, to understand how the market works. What you
learn nobody can take away from you. Bear market in 2018 was another such great experience for me. This was
not the first one  for me but it is different than the previous one was.

This year has become an education for all in crypto. A lesson in patience, responsibility, choice, self study, hard work, alternate sources of income etc.,

Market circle is constant, its just depend on the amount of time we used for the bull and the bear market. I have seen people talk alot about the bear market but never see people discuss the bull market, the last bull market lasted for 2 year or more and we are just a year into the bear and everyone seems to be shaken, things will definitely get better

The bull will come, but we don't have to wait for the bull. As long as we can try to buy at the low price and sell at the high price, we are safe. We are making a mistake in the past, but we have a chance to fix the mistake by doing trade in any situation if you have a skill. I think we don't need to wait for the bull because, at this time, we have an opportunity to buy and sell any coins to make a profit. I don't think that 2018 is the longest dip we saw because if you check on 2013-2015, we were on the dip too and people could still enjoy their time in the market even some of them can make another profit. So don't give up because of the bear market, keep trying to buy and sell if you see there is a chance to do that.

Life is made up of two things, the good and the bad. 2018 is bad for Cryptocurrency but it does not end there, let's keep our hope alive and be more excited about it. After the night comes monrnig which imply that after bearish year comes a bullish year, let's use this time to prepare for it.

I am glad that positivity makes me still in the system. Learning crypto was never easy. It takes courage and dedication in order to go on and risk your money as well. Although a little bit nervous  but i am still with crypto.

I think it has really been a downward movement for crypto prices since the beginning of the year cos when I came in around July 2017, all I mostly witness was upward price trend and thought that was how it was going to be and December was like yeah 😀 and I have since understand that the market have different phases and true, we have to have learned from past experience and know how to handle the market more better when next it happens. But I don't think this should make me leave crypto unless there is no longer crypto currency.

Yes, this year wasn't easy for me either. But I didn’t even have one thought to leave the crypto. I didn't come here to earn quick money and leave. Therefore, I try to be calm and patient.

It's not easy to be able to rise in the loss experienced on crypto. many people experience the fall of prices even in the long run and, eventually, many have lost belief in crypto. It's not an easy thing and if it made it all as a lesson certainly enough good things.

For me, i will make the year 2018 to be a lesson for myself to became even more patient and should be able to drive me to learn even more about cryptocurrency, that way i will be able to patiently analyzing the market and looking for any strategy to face the condition.

The increase in the price of altcoin in the market is of course, what we need now is so good that we want it, the profit is so great that we need it and the bonus is as high as we expect. errors or experience ever experienced on crypto will give learning. It felt though it is not easy but it will be beneficial to be able to stay afloat and do a good strategy on crypto. big losses are clearly only be felt many people and begin to rise from it is not an easy thing to do.

Yes that's right every mistakes that we made will be are knowledge to help are present happenings to be more careful in what we are doing. And I think it is really a great lesson to us to be more responsible in the decisions that we made that we won't regret anything that will gonna happened in the future.

Going by the long term bearish we have had in 2018,if we decide to leave crypto for other things, I guess no one Will blame anyone but we just have to be strong and let go off the past to be able to channel a new dawn.we can actually get things better come 2019 if only we can let go off the past.

Just invest in how many you can afford in your pocket and make sure you will be having an outside work instead of investing.

Yes, last year 2018 was not very easy for crypto market. Lots of people gave up, and just left this direction. Lots of people just made a deep pause with the crypto currency. Yes this is not easy, sometimes we think we must let everything and don't think more and will be patient but few days later again we think same things again. Because of this we bored much in 2018 so we must be more relax.

It all depends on individuality cause I personally have encounter a lot of loses in cryptocurrency but am still optimistic that there is always a better days ahead cause the situations can change at any time and I have learn a lot from the tool of holding cause you only lose when you sale below the price you bought your assets, so despite the price of you cryptocurrency tokens always hold and wait for a better time to come.

Yeah for sure little by little we've learn't much and aware of many strategies to use, but 2018 came with a it own problems. Trust me real monies have been lost but nothing can be done. We are all looking forward to what 2019 present.

At a point, i thought within myself that there can't be any year as worse as 2018 and 2019 was fast approaching. Now we are in 2019 and i am hoping to see what will happen.

It is the long dip and still we do not know what will be the price going this year. However, we have to start again and set aside the investment we had when the price is higher. You have to move and see how it going to worth in the following year. Crypto will grow again so it is not a mistake if you buy when the price higher, just hold it longer unless you buy a cheaper coin when it has no potential on the market which cannot gain even you have it for long.l

the current situation is very heavy, almost all the coins in the market have not shown a significant increase after falling in early 2018. this will be a very long time because throughout 2018 there has not been any profit from investment. those who can't stand usually come out quickly, but I persevere because I believe the market will definitely return.
