Bitcoin prices have gone down now, indeed to buy bitcoin is now a good strategy to generate profits,

but I think bitcoin has low fluctuations so it's a good altcoin for to buy, currently bitcoin is shorting and to make money you have to buy at a falling price and sell it only but you have to understand where the market will move.

Im confused.  Shorting you say begins by selling.  You sell at higher price since you expect price to drop and then buy back at lower price.  Isn't this trading?

I also have used BitMex to short in the past, though they don't accept customers from the USA or Quebec anymore- sucks because I liked to short coins, and the other major platform I know of where you can use leverage (Bitfinex) requires you to go through pretty strenuous verification. Kraken also allows you to short, but I haven't used their platform before and I can't give you much feedback on that.

Some exchanges are providing the features of shorting. But, I believe anyone can go for make use of downfall market by trading with stable-coins. Yes, all you need to convert your bitcoin into a stable coin when you will be predicting market is going to fall down and when you predict market is going to stop its downfall or it is going to bounce back then that is the time for buying bitcoins back. As simple as any other trading.

But what I feel is, making money when prices are dropping is too difficult rather than make use of those falling down by entering for the purpose of holding for long a period. We must need to keep on buying on every dips so that we can make sure we will be having better average-buy prices.

That's not the right mindset if you want to get as much money as possible. For professional traders bear or bull market is the place to make profits. However, margin trading (short/long) is very risky and prone to 'manipulation', especially when we have futures market that doesn't get backed by real Bitcoin. I'd not recommend any newbies or people who lack trading knowledge to do that. You can lose all of your money for a simple mistake.

You can do short sell in the bear market and buy back when the price drops even lower. This is coming with a large amount of risk as well so better be prepared for sudden bounce backs when you will in a bad position with nothing at hand to sell in order to cover your loss. Again the wiser thing to do in case you are in not in a hurry and have fresh cash at hand is to buy at the drop and then hold it for a better price to sell.

Not every dump is preceded by a pump. Thats the general notion but exceptions are there. Sudden dump without any pump will bounce back hard.

Bitcoin is dropping already, you should buy more now to hold in the future in you are not planning on trading it. Trading it at this moment may be hard since market is in bearish trends. It is not a good time to make a trade, i would rather choose to hold it for a long-term investment.

You sound like you do not know the basics of trading. Just go reading few of above discussions then you will come to know that how to make use of declining market also for making profits. Yes, anyone will be able to make profits when prices are dropping by using stablecoins. Almost all the exchanges are now a days having stablecoins to trade against bitcoins and any major altcoins.

You need to convert bitcoins back and forth with stablecoin to make sure you are gaining more USD value per every transaction. Just google and get more information on how to do this.

I think in some market there are feature to do this, like in Poloniex. But it almost same with it, you take short or long, what it called, margin if me not wrong. But i am not try it yet because don't really understand about system

Making money in bearish trend would be just be synonymous to earning Bitcoin not its equivalent value since you can't raise something that simply drops in a sense. It might be stupid but you could just play away your Bitcoin to gambling if you're feeling that lucky like sports betting. You could pump that Bitcoin by faucets like in FreeBitcoin site, but you'll be depending purely in luck to roll the best number. I don't know if there are some other faucet that would offer the same but so far this is the site I know. If you're somehow active in trading, you could try day-trading in some exchanges although don't expect that much of a profit.

Well how does one short anything if they don't have anything to begin with?  Example you have 10000 dollars.  You think btc will drop in price pretty soon.  So how could you short if you have btc on you at the moment?  Because wouldn't shorting require you to either have btc already?  Because say you think btc will drop soon.  Well you certainly arent going to buy any btc anytime soon right?  Because i thought shorting means you can bet on it dropping in price from now?

From what I understand, shorting requires you to lend from the broker/exchange/trading platform in order to sell high and buy back in low, the difference in your sell and buy price is your profit - once you've paid back the initial entry position or your margin.

The risk is only encountered when you are going to convert btc to fiat or so. There is no harm in earning some coins as long as its not prohibited as per local rules and law enforcement is not interested in it.

Thats called market risk. If you cannot handle that then its not worth getting into bitcoin or any altcoin. But you can always be sure that in future price will rise because bitcoin has certain properties which makes it unique and thus it generates demand.

There are people who play the long term hodl game. It always less panic associated and safer to do. :)

Sorry but im quite confused about how you make profit while the market is consecutively dropping. Isnt that means more negative on your part? All we want is a green market and that is all we know we can make profit.

Right now it’s the best chance for all investors to get profit even with the fallen price as they can buy very cheap and hold until the price recovers. Time makes things in our favor so but now and hold this is best way to turn things profitable. Bitcoin is at best point not to high but later on it will become really expensive so buy now.

In order to make a profit when the price of Bitcoin is dropping is only through buy buying low values altcoin in the market when their price is very low. In this way, sometime we may double our Bitcoin in days, through Bitcoin trading it is impossible to make fast money.

I think you use momentum strategy to get income, no big deal but I'm afraid every momentum has different impact ( not always same ). Use momentum strategy need big money and fundamental analysis to get good analysis. I'll not teach you about it but how about you try it by your self and see what happen. Not always work but you can learn something.

Although the long trend shows a decline, it doesn't mean that the prices will run in one direction only. There are times when prices will rise slightly before returning to the long trend. Such moments can be used to find profit in the short term and of course with a small quantity. We must monitor price movements carefully if we want to do that. So, yes, even though there is a price decline, we still have the chance to look for profit.

yes of course we will buy coins when the price is cheap, but when the current market conditions regardless of the price of the coins we buy will certainly be difficult to get a profit. indeed making money is easy but if the problem of profit or loss is up to you who determines.

Yes only by shorting we can earn profit from Bitcoin drop,  and that actually more risky trading because of leverage  but we can minimize  the risk by use low leverage and use stop loss.  But for now that the price already oversold is not good idea to short because Bitcoin has more potential  to rise.

I heard in stocks, this is called shorting.  But i read if you short, you could lose a huge amount of money.  Could you do this with bitcoin?  Example my thoughts were hey its the holidays, so most likely ppl will withdraw money and thus btc drops.  So i figure around now, btc price would drop.
