I have done some bounty campaigns that were unsuccessful.. Also some were scams. But I have received some tokens from few of that projects. So I need to know this, Is there any opportunity that can I use this tokens?  :) :)

Forget about those project and move on so far the project is unsuccessful it is rare to have demands for it, sorry for the wasteful effort dedicated to the bounty campaign.

I think you will not be able to do anything with that token. You have several options: keep them, send them to others, or burn them if you find them uneven.  ;D

it is better for you to sell it whatever the price is as of now, because it has a very low percentage that a certain alts or token will have a good price after the ICO usually those coin in the market remains in the bottom.

If you have in your wallet token that are not useful, you can do a variety of things with it. You can burn such token if it erc20 token, all you need to do is to send such token to 0x0000000000000000000000000000000 and those thokens will be burnt!

I had something similar, i had coins which dropped massively and i traded
most of them back into bitcoin and litecoin.
I believe bitcoin (and litecoin) will be around in the future and will show big
Gains from those puny trades from shitcoins.

I think the most painful thing is to spend time doing bounty and after the whole thing, the project is unsuccessful. I equally have some useless tokens in my wallet, I guess what I'll send them into the air when I have enough gas.

I think that these tokens will remain in your memory about the fact that you once dealt with a scam. I no longer see any use for these tokens. This is a common electronic garbage that is no longer needed for anything.

when it goes to the trading platform, you can trade it to convert to ETH and Bitcoin. or if it is a scam, they will not associate with any of the exchanges and your money will be lost because the token is not valid.

I think the options are limited if you did not sell them when they just went out on an exchange, if they never went out, then you really did not have an option, sometimes you can cling to the hope that they may be worth something someday, that happens in very few occasions.

It depends on what is the current value of your token, if the total value for each token you have will exceed atleast $10 then you can try to send them on an exchange and convert them to bitcoin, but if the total value is way less than the average transaction fees for sending the coins 2x then just let the tokens sit on your wallet until the right time comes

Almost nothing. You need to sell them at the first opportunity, or let them lie on your wallet, that something from this garbage can easily grow in price in the next bullish race. Give them a chance.

I just keep such shitcoins in my wallet and don't do anything else. there is a little chance that some of them may turn to life and give some profit.

I suggest to save these tokens maybe If we pass the bull season, these coins' prices will increase and you make profits from these coins. In our wallet, these coins are harmless. I have many coins and most of them scams but I save it and will this is best way.

I also got a valuable token, I just ignored it because there was no benefit for me. And from the garbage tokens I made more careful in choosing projects.

Nothing you can do with those tokens and it is called as dead weight tokens,all you can do is creating another wallet and send all those tokens to those wallet and hoping some of them will get listed in future if their development team wake up but remember you will need Gas to send them tokens.

I am also holding coins without good values in my wallet but I guess we should accept that we couldn't do anything about it. The best thing to do is just to hodl and wait until it is tradable with a good value. In this case, we could only apply holding because we can't use these coins in any ways.

Wishful thinking. If bull season came, its the tokens that can potentially be profitable are the ones that will start the bulls, not the shitcoins. Though it won't hurt if those tokens just stay on your wallet, it may be clean if you can send it to an address whichever address that may be or simply to the 0x000000.. to burn it.

Failed project? What do you think the price of the coins are going to be? If the coins still has some value, go dump it. Get rid of those. Most of them will be doing the same, they will dump it until the coin becomes valueless. Or you can just add them to your collection of tokens/coins (but if it has some value sell them first and acquire them later when the price gets dumps to few cents).

Yes, we do not have any other big options other than simply continue holding them. I have lot's of coins and token which are obtained from various bounties,campaigns and airdrops but most of them are valuing nothing. Honestly I have a forgot them some long time back itself as moving them into an exchange also a big loss for me. I guess this is not a problem just for me but I believe most of the people from this community is also experiencing such a problem.

Just hoping for the better things to happen in coming days when the crypto market will be finding its good days. Other than this, I believe nothing we can do right now with those coins. We may go for donating them but I believe no one will be accepting those valueless coin. Because, this is not a vintage thing to donate when we are not finding them not useful to us.

Anyways because you can't do anything to change that, i think you should bet on holding for sometime maybe things may turn around.

this has become a risk for every bounty participant ... because every bounty participant must experience such an event. where the tokens they receive cannot be marketed, so that they can only be used as a collection of wallets ... so please accept it because it has become a risk for every bounty participant

I also experienced something like that but in the end we didn't know how many results we would get from all the coins we collected because in addition to the development of the coin project, there were still a number of factors that greatly influenced the results that would get an example of when we would sell the coin because different days will be different in price and therefore accuracy is needed in determining the time to sell

Just think about the time and energy, you spent for collecting those coins and unlike you many people would have spent their hard earned money for buying those shitcoins. I mean to say this is really unfortunate that this community is not taking any guidelines or protection measurement for getting rid of those scam attempts. Yes in my view, all these shitcoins are directly or indirectly an attempt to scam us. We must need to react against them just for maintaining a balance in this community.

Jokes apart, I like to suggest you to keep on holding them because no one will know when at least one or two of your holding may get pumped and you will recover some reward for your time and energy. Me, I just keep it in my wallet, especially an ERC20 token. I made these worthless tokens as a number of experiences where I was unlucky and my work is not valued at all. After all, I like to see there are many types of tokens that I have in one eth address.

if the project is a scam there is nothing you can do with the token, forget about the project and go to look for project that can give you many benefits and you need to remember, be careful so you don't meet with the bounty scam again ;D

Sometimes, I just leave them in my wallet and forget about it. If you are being a honest citizen, here's what I would do as a US citizen:

If you worked for those coins from bounty campaigns, you can report the earning amount at the particular time you received them and if they turn out to be worthless, then you can trade them away for loss and write them as capital loss tax and they can be as deductible to reduce your tax bill.

There are lots of shit coins that some people by chance, have been able to get some profit from, but after that it becomes useful, because nobody will want to buy them. That is more reason you should be very careful of the type of coin to invest in. I have also got some shit coins that I cannot even sell, let alone having any value or even price. Invest in coins that have got good value.

I think they will just remain in the wallet and nothing can be done with them, some coins have not even gone to the stock exchange and are hanging on the wallet of people with a heavy load.

Shit coins are mostly from air drop or spam distribution, if you try to exchange it for eth then you might end up spending more eth than what you will get after exchange.

Yes have just wait when their value increase in the market but need to accept some other shitcoins are need to forget it especially token from. The icos not months ago not listing in the exchange.

If you see their announcement thread and they list some exchange where the coin can be traded . go there and trade your ICO coin to real coin like ETH or BTC and move it to your main exchange. but if you think it's too low as real value that should be im prefer to keep hold it.

if the development from the tokens running well,, you can keep your token in your wallet,, and sell it when the price is good
but if there is no development in the project, just sell it as soon as you can my friend

The only thing you can do with these coins is look at them. There's nothing else you can do with them. There are a lot of such coins and it becomes even more, because there are more bad ICO.

I have the same problem. But we are not able to do anything. It’s better to forget about them or remove them from your wallet. Nobody will buy scam tokens.

for my own experience even though we get tokens from the bounty gift that we follow but the token is not on the market or there is no price on the market.

If those tokens can't be found to any exchange, I doubt it that there will be any interested person who will buy that.

They are like those dust amounts so you can't do something with it but just leave and forget that you have it.

Tokens that you get can only be saved and can't be sold for a lifetime, don't expect too much token that has been abandoned by team, therefore there will be no development. you should forget about coin and focus on projects that have more potential.

Just let those coins rot in the wallet, and forget about it. if you don't want to see it again, just change your wallet and toss away the private key of the wallet which contain that coin.

Agree with this one, there is nothing you can do with shit coins, they simply just become a dead collection. You should move on and learn from your mistake by researching more before joining a bounty or projects. Moreover now and in the future, there will be more scam projects since the crypto becomes more popular.

There is, if the token already registered in the exchange, you can exchange it with the token that potentially better in the future.
Or if you trust that token, hold.

I would rather let the shit coin be in my wallet than burn it or throw it away.
because we don't know what will happen in the future it is better not to do anything because they do not disturb any performance from your wallet.

Currently the crypto currency market is in a down trend mode and I believe this may also affect the price of the tokens you're holding. But, if you should not to wait, I will advice to read the project road map, community support with utility level in other for you to know if youre to sell the token at cheap price than holding it.

if a project fails what else is a fraud project, then you can't do anything with the paid tokens you get, you can throw it away at any time, or wait for a miracle.

Now it's just a garbage. Many of bounty projects are inactive and forgotten by devs. Make a conclusions, in which bounty will not participate in future.

you can do something about it, if that's shit coin have a community, you can try to join with coin janitor. I heard they sort of taking over a dead project. Just make sure the dev still active.

I think the coins that you get are better for you to trade, because you can get more than trading, with trading we can maximize our profit, even though we get a little from the bounty results but we take advantage of these opportunities to get maximum results,

there is nothing you can do besides being a decoration in your wallet, at least you have to start from the beginning to get new tokens that can be traded. Yes, we must learn lessons from our past bitter experience. There will be no meaning of participating in each and every bounty programs we are just seeing. We are not just participating but we are also encouraging scam people to misuse our time and efforts. When we choose them very carefully after many layer of filtering out then there will be no such problem of holding shitscoins in our wallets.

I have over fifty totally useless and sh8tty tokens in my MEW that are worthless because they never went on an exchange. The problem is that many of these ICOS, don't want to bother with listing on exchanges once the ICO ends and they have collected all their moola. What they do is abandon the project usually after giving out the tokens and say they didn't scam because they gave us the tokens. What's the use with giving us the tokens if they are going to be totally worthless and worth 0? What can I do with 0? It won't feed my belly and my family, that's for sure. Let's try to fight against these scams and see what to do to make the bounty section much safer and a better place to make some decent money for a change. I think we should fight to get paid in either ETH OR BTC for bounties. Or at least half in eth or btc and half in tokens.

I am having the same problem. From bounty hunting business i have collected too many coins in 3 years and of course many of them turned scam or they didn't paid me. But also some scam projects sent me their shit coins and they stays in my MEW. I want to delete them but i can't do that. They make me confuse when i try to calculate my assets. Is anyone knows that how can we delete them?

That way you may get a confirmation whether that project is as already dead or not. Nothing more. Moreover, most of the shitcoins are not having active community even their telegram channels are being spammed by unknown people. I guess your way of approach must be another time wasting process but we may ask this forum about such coins and what to do with them specifically.

Token that has no value will stay on the account because there is no exchange for them. Shit coins is nothing without success on the projects and abandon by the team. You keep them but nothing to wait because I have lot of shit coins that never gain a value in the market.

did you say that you have been doing bounty for 3 years? I think this became popular only in 2017 when ICO comes. and this is only 1.5 years.

Same here I have tons of erc20 tokens that I accumulated and have no value since the project was abandoned by the developers or scammers. They are really good in scamming unsuspecting bounty hunters and have done very successfully. Some tokens that I have in my wallet are also selfdrops and airdrops. My suggestion is just to keep those tokens and move on or create new wallet and transfer tokens that have a usecase in the future even if for now it is worth a fraction of a satoshi.

We are both in the same shoe  I am also having many shit tokens in wallet and I am waiting for any bullish run to sell off some of the tokens regardless of its price even if its $5 I wouldn't mind I just need to offload my worthless tokens and clear my MEW  and move on.

You will never know unless you track your token price every single day. You may download an application for altcoin price tracking like blackfolio. This app allows you to track the price of an altcoin or token once listed to an exchange and they will appear even if it is not listed yet on coinmarketcap. There are also some altcoins that cant be tracked using that app so you have to search the price manually. You may continue holding those shitcoins because everything happens surprisingly.

Make it a souvenir in your wallet at-least you will remember that you exert time for those token. It's normal in crypto that some of those projects will not give you a value and we have nothing to do with it. Just forget and move on.  

I also have shitcoins that are from unsuccessful campaigns. It doesn't hurt to keep them so I have simply left them there in my ethereum wallet. However, for the ones that have their own blockchain and wallet, I just deleted the wallet as it is a waste of resources

I think you can not use those token when it is listed on exchange ! when you join bounty , you should choose good projects to participate , t he percentage of those tokens is listed on the exchange very high

As if you sell shit coins there will be no value, so either you can hold these tokens for long term or you can place a selling bid if the tokens are listed on exchanges. as we have seen some shit coins pump very badly so you might have chance to sell.

Nothing I also had a lot of useless token sleeping in my wallet, I just let it be, maybe one day the dev will come out or the token will be pumped up and you will get a profit some of the useless tokens in wallets are as old as 350 days and most of these are airdrop coins.

For me, if the value of the tokens you are currently holding is very cheap then it is not bad to just hold it, maybe time will come that you are lucky enough to have those tokens, when a group of whales decided to pump that token/cryptocurrency. But also depends on the token you are holding, if those tokens are not even listed on any exchanges and developers have no future plans then you can just forget about earning money with it. If you are referring on the "use" is to use it like for paying something, then check for updates from developers of that token, if there are already uses for it, if there is no updates and looks like they already abandoned the project then there is no opportunity for you to use it that way.

You will get opportunity only when these shit coin get listed or pump up but we should not live in false hope. I consider my shit coins as zero value. I do not bother about it. So one should let remain the shit coins in their wallet as it is and focused on new bounties and trading for high potential coins and might be sometime any of your shit coin can be pumped up in future so hold on.

Some coins may sometimes surprise you. If you have different types of coins, you can earn more money. You must protect the shit coins  :D

I am also a bounty hunter and I also experience the same thing as you, I have a lot of shitcoin that has no value and I consider shitcoin as a collection of tokens, and also I consider it a lesson so I don't join campaign from bad project and bad management next time.

I agree with you, I'de rather keep coins in my wallet than to burn it because it will not give danger to my wallet upon storing there, besides, who knows that someday this shit coin will a profitable value when Bitcoin is taking in charge in the driver seat.

I have such coins full of many of them scam and many are just very cheap but this is not a reason to get rid of them because some tokens in the future have a prospect.

As we can see in the present time shit coins is always there if we are joining bounties, so for me its better to sell it immediately than holding it, because we can`t  knows how long that those coins have a good price.

Try to forget it, save a lot of gas. You can also change wallet and remember once in a while to check if by chance one of those projects takes off.

One option is to move them to a dex and keep them for a good times. Right now Eth network is not too loaded, you can send your tokens for less gas. On some pump you will sell them at a good price.

the good or bad token that you have all depends on the project that is able to successfully run an ico, if the token that you have at this time has no value at all means you can only collect the type of dirt coins in your storage wallet.

If you are lucky and at least some of these projects then go to the stock exchange, you can sell coins. If the coins do not come out on the stock exchange, then consider that you have increased the number of useless coins that can be thrown out to the landfill.

If someday they have value it is possoble to use. Just hold it until they have price and listed to the market if once they have now value you can sell it. Maybe someday your shitcoins that you have become more value and it will be worth it token.

in any case, there is at least a minimal chance for certain coins to show at least some result in the future. we must also take into account the fact that certain projects are engaged in their development and therefore their coins have so far frozen in place.

Well, now many projects are just waiting for the market to start showing growth in order to start entering to the exchanges. Not all projects that do not go to the exchange immediately are scam

Well for me its just for collection. The tokens from fail or scam project will remind me to more careful choosing a good project. I dont wanna add some token to my "collection" anymore. I hope next year will be brighter for me.

From unsuccessfully ICO's projects probably those tokens will never got listed into an exchange and if this is happen nothing you can do because basically those tokens will have no value but if someday the tokens listed to an exchange then you can starting to trade but from my previous experience the tokens will never got listed

There were couple of projects that were aiming at eliminating these type of scam or at least useless coins out of the market with some new idea but I don't know what happened to them. There was coinjanitor for example which would make your useless coins at least worth something in return but I think they became useless themselves or at least they are not promoting their system too much since I haven't heard from them in over a long time.

I know it would be silly to think our worthless useless coins to worth something and sell them somehow but it would be so amazing if there was a website that would allow us to store all of our scam coins there, instead of an exchange like deal, it would be a wallet for all useless coins. They would hold possession of them but it would be under our names.

I don't know what and how they would profit but that way we won't have to worry about our worthless coin separated all around exchanges and we could just put all of them in one worthless coin wallet website. Would make things so much easier.

When the market grows beyond the previous peaks, you will pay back a bad investment with good projects. But there is always hope that you can sell bad coins in a growing market. Continue to keep them. I also have tons of them here, they are just taking space and hopefully when the market turns bull, some of them will worth something but as for now, we just need to continue to keep them.

Unfortunately, the standard practice or the coin is not worth anything, or the project is a scam and you can pay no wait. The only thing that we can continue to work in the search for worthwhile projects. I myself often get upset when I get a reward, but it's worth nothing. This is a big problem today. Get quality coins from the project.

Am afraid there is little or nothing you can do about those tokens or projects. You can only hope and pray something major reawakena those projects. Some few months back, a project by the name CoinJanitor introduced a technology whose focus was to convert shitcoins and failed projects into some thing productive and worthy of investments, unfortunately, this same project (CoinJanitor) and technology hasn't seen the light of the day and it's safe to say, it has also turned into a shitcoin. All these tokens can just be counted as lost investments.

Sometimes one might not just be able to do without shitcons, inasmuch as still dealing with altcoins. You have no option than to keep them, unless they are already listed and by then, you can exchange to a better coin.

And how do you use them if they're worthless? The best option is to forget about them. Try to continue to participate in bounty companies, as good projects are few and they are now worth their weight in gold.

for fraudulent ico projects, tokens that I can usually sell on the market are difficult because there is usually no market to sell tokens shared by ico so I usually leave them in my wallet.

We could only keep the shit coins in our wallet and waiting for the price to increase (if the coin can increase in the future). But if the coin cannot increase, then we cannot do anything except continue to hold the coin. I have plenty of shitcoin in my coinomi, and I don't think that it could increase higher shortly and I still keeping the coin and waiting for the time comes for the coin to increase back.

I have lot of tokens from airdrops which mostly does not listed on the exchange. If it is the projects which is under improvement, there is hope that the token will have value in the near future. Nothing to do with shit coins but leave your old wallet and change a new one where you do not see those kind of coins.

Previously, I had the hope that during the uptrend all the coins in the wallet will increase in price, including all shit coins  ;D, and I just can sell them, they got me for participating in the bounty. But it looks like it's time to sell all this stuff right now and buy something really necessary.

What can be done? Shit coins are in my wallet and it is like a pollution. By the way I hope one day crypto will be pumped to 1 trillion and all of these shit coins will show incredible growth)

With trash coins, we can only hope for a miracle. That some of them could suddenly grow in value, which is very unlikely.

Unfortunately, shitcoins may happen not ever to recover after a long bearish market. If there is no active development in the project, he chances for recovering are near to zero.

I think you should not sell them,  one day you can earn good money with them , what can you lose if you wait.

shitcoins are shitcoins and nothing we can do about it, they will still on our wallet forever but who knows what might happen if these coins will gain some value in the future so i still hold them and waiting for some miracle to happen.

If the coin that you are still holding are still active on the development, you should give them time, maybe they can still comply. But for those coins that is inactive in the development, you can dump that right away.

Learn to live with the normalziation of market caps in the market. You're probably not gonna see ATH prices again (for most of them).

If they are really shit coins, you can always dump in an exchange that list them.

... if someone buys there. Not all tokens are traded. If you have shit tokens that are being traded, you can wait for the pump and sell it. If the pump never will, then this asset can be considered equivalent to the fact that it was not traded on the exchange.

If the tokens are not worth anything, you can keep them. They do not disturb the wallet and do not cost anything. With a bit of luck, the tokens may still be worth something. Then you can still sell them.

The only thing you can do to such coins is to trade them for other solid coins only if they are trading on any exchange. Else just leave them in your wallet hopefully dead bones might rise again. There is nothing much to do with them as long as they are shitcoins/scam coins.

 - just ignore these tokens
 - transfer them to a random ETH address to get rid of them from your wallet

Some coins are not just sellable. Transferring them sometimes is even a waste of resources, because the gas fee might be more than the price of the token to be transferred, so it is more or less like losing.
There are even times that, such coins, no matter how little they may appear now, they might become big later in future. So just leave them there and make do with the ones you can easily sell.

You have two options you can decide to:

1. Sell all your shitcoins if they are already listed and you can get a reasonable price. It's always good to exchange shitcoins to ETH or BTC.

2. If the project is legit and promising you can HODL your shitcoins and hope, that they will be worth much more later.

If you have shitcoins which are not listed yet, you have to keep them in your wallet.
Or send it to another wallet (but this wastes transaction costs (ETH)).

The only opportunity you have with them is when there is a buyer, but if there is none it's stuck to your wallet or better create a wallet for your useless coins so it will not become an eyesore whenever you check your wallet balances.

The best thing to do is to just keep it in your wallet as a remembrance, why? selling it would just be a problem for you because of the transaction fee in order to sell it. So perhaps you'll be earning profit from shitcoins, that will just be few cents so selling it will just be a waste of time. The profit you'd get will just make your feeling bad because you have exerted effort in it.

Nothing can be done to those shitcoins they are just like an abandoned cars in a Dumpsite in fact not recyclable, I would have dump them for a little ETH if there is any opportunity to do that but none is forthcoming hence we just have to leave them various in our wallets and hope for future turn around of any of the shitcoins.

All you can do is not get hung up on bad projects and work on. When you learn to identify good projects you will be able to make good profits.

If it is a shitcoin, we can't anything to get rid of it but to keep it but we can send them to some blank address if we want to let it die in rot there but it will cost for us to send it to the other address. So, it is better to keep it, and let the memories of it help you to correct your mistakes.

If they still exist on exchanges better sell off and if they never hit exchange then forget them and move on it's a shame that useless tokens and coins are plaguing cryptocurrency generally

Apart from scam project, the fact that you are holding coin with no market value does not mean such coin will not have value later on. What is important here is that you keep a tab on these projects and see if the development is going  on with the team and if they are keeping to deadlines!

I don't think you could do anything about it, If it me then i just let it stay in the wallet until forever or i just simply create new wallet and forget about old wallet that contain the trash coins. Then i just walk away with my new wallet.

It's better to save tokens because if you sell it, it doesn't necessarily have a price. If later Bitcoin and Ethereum soar and the market become stable, I think a useless coin will have a sale value. I personally also have some coins that until now still cannot be sold. And for the future, it is better to do research and be more careful in looking for Bounty projects.

Many ICO tokens have no selling value and in the wallet, it's like garbage. However, it is better to check again about the Developer and the Team is still active or not. Because some tokens do take a long time to enter the stock market.

To get started, check these tokens, maybe they are being traded somewhere or find out about it in telegram chats, and if these tokens are dead and they are unnecessary to you, then simply create an additional wallet and send all the unnecessary tokens there and sometimes check this wallet, perhaps some token will come to life.

I sold most of the altcoins and bought ETH and USDT because I think Ethereum will get a price increase in January. Because it is about to get an upgrade of the technology.

Check if there is any demand for your shitcoins on exchanges to still make something out of it

Now that these shitcoins have dropped in terms of prices by huge margin, you will be in loss. If you are also holding good coins like BTC or ETH, than you can expect that the gains from these coins in future will match the gains.

If the coin is not listed on a particular exchange, and the smart contract is not worth blocking, you can try to sell it on a decentralized exchange, but in fact after the sale are obtained scanty amounts. I think theres nothing we can do to that shitcoins because it will be design to our wallet forever because we cant exchange it to any exchange because that coins are from scam airdrop and bounties. So better to find a good and sure project that will have a great future in crypto.

When more than 100 coins then explore them very difficult. I would advise to sell those to which there is no trust at all, and the rest to leave until better times.

Forget about the coins and maybe in future if something will happen and the projects will go on and will have success then the coins might value something, but if this will not happen there is nothing you can do and you can forget the coins forever.

Those shit projects are idiotic persons who did run those fake materialistic. Exchange didn't work, coins didn't work, etc... They just create a temporary coin just to get some extra btc or eth to invest. How damn they are really bad. Pity us who work so hard just to buy coins.

Just forget about them. There is nothing you can do about them. They will remain there and you will have to watch them again and again, unless you send them to some other wallet of yours or to someone else. But for that you'll need a little ethereum but its a bad option.

I usually have a separate wallet, where I keep valuable coins. Which means I do not bother myself with shit coins, except I have the opportunity to sell them of.

No,  there isn't , and if you really wanna wait for its value to grow,  then just wait for it because you don't really have a choice and you can't do nothing to it.

This is the main reason why everybody needs to diversify risks, capital, efforts and so on. So many ICOs are turned out to be scam and very few are succeed... And you never know which one will be the winner, so make sure you bet on as many of them as you can afford ;)

If you are fortunate, you might sell it for people who might want that coin so far, but the chances is really low, if there's an opportunity to sell it, let go of it, its developers are quite not active now and there's no future with it.
