Title: Who Are Selling off Their Crypto
Post by: Cyberczar on January 07, 2019, 01:39:18 PM
Everyone knows that this is a bad time to sell. Yet there are people selling off out of dienchantment. What alternatives are there instead of selling your crypto on the low? https://cryptoinfowatch.com/sell-your-bitcoin-cash-lenders-coming-to-the-rescue-of-wearied-hodlers/

Now only the true believers and those who have a lot of money may have stayed. The rest have already sold. And there are daytraders. They are the reason for the increase in volume in the market.

We'll know at the end of the month if it silly to sell right now, or if it is a smart move.
Last year in January we had a dip, same happened in 2017 I think, and same in 2015 (big crash) so some people may think it will happen again before the Chinese Near Year (February 5). If you are a relatively short term trader, then why not.

Lots of people with weak hands sell as soon as the first sign of trouble appears. People who makes big money are the people who HODL through tough times.

Those who gave up and didn't trust the project they invested on. There are new trend now "Buy high, sell low" lol They are eventually people with weak hands. They will regret it for sure.I am holding a lot and not planning to sell it in the bearish market

The very alternative that I can suggest is to buy at low. Weak hands will never think of that but for long term investors who are aware of these lows as great opportunity to add more will eventually buy at the lowest.
I admit that I also sell even during low times, I'm aware of the loss and is a believer of bitcoin for the future but there are circumstances that we can't avoid and forces us to sell.

It's only bad to sell if you're at a loss and everyone who bought BTC is not on a loss. There's probably some early adopters out there that haven't dumped their BTC. A lot of people still sell BTC despite of the price because there are several ways to spend your BTC other than trading it for fiat or an altcoin.

Most alternatives that I could think of involves risk like trading, lending, putting it in a casino bankroll, ICO, etc. Holding your crypto is always the go to option whenever you're on a short term loss.

As I see on an exchanger now people are really selling their coins. I also wonde why? Doest such little raise of the price appeared as a signal to them to take the cash but not to wait for bigger price? Are people so disappointed in bitcoin? All of those questions do not me give a rest and I am thinking about it all the time when I open the exchanger and see all of those red selling numbers.

Do we have much of a choice right now? If you are not selling then probably you will be sticking it out with your cryptos until such time that the prices are more or less good enough to sell. I am actually left with a choice of selling with a loss or a very minimal or insignificant gain (as I bought some of my coin much earlier) or muster more a little amount patience to wait and hope for better days ahead. I would never sell and lost. And having too little gain after years of waiting and exerting effort and risking my investments is also an unattractive option for me. I would rather HODL on and wait. After all, I am trusting the future of crypto.

Bitcoins that are circulating in exchanges are coming from daytraders who usually use Bitcoin to buy other coins and then sell them off when they get a percentage of profit and then again buy another coin with the Bitcoins. It is not always important that if a Bitcoin is being sold it is from a Bitcoin holder or investor.
I myself trade Bitcoins against USDT to increase the amount of Bitcoins I have. I buy on a drop and then sell them off when the price goes a bit higher-- resulting in giving me a little profit out of the trade.

This is the correct time to buy as you can see panic sellers and shortterm traders are selling in high which they bought in low, in view of buying back in low as they are thinking that it will go down back, but i think this is the reverse situation, if it goes as per my view then this week end we can see BTC price above $4600+ even it can touch $5000 level also.

Well, I think I saw a post recently talking about how we weren't done yet with capitulation and that people are going to sell off more than we have witnessed. Anyway i don't believe that. I think we have indeed reached the bottom now and that the last sell off we saw will hopefully be the real last one. Accumulation is next.

Everyone knows that this is a bad time to sell.
I didn't knew that. Regrets always come last. If the market go lower in the future, it's still a good time to sell and buy more later. No one knows where the market will be in the future so we can't exactly tell if it is a bad / good time to sell / buy bitcoin. When bitcoin went down to 8k, i thought it was a bad time to sell, but today, i regret holding it. The only alternative i can think is to sell when the good news affects the market and buy when FUD is pulling the market down.

Regardless of whatever the price is, there .yet always be active trading. Most people are not selling, rather they are swinging. And also most whales who got in at a lower price are selling off now, cause people to panic sell and they can buy in at a lower price again and continue the cycle. Selling now is not a pretty good move unless you just bought in recently at a lower price.

They might be unaware about the future growth of this coin and how much it could be worth in future . Thus they are selling and their are other people who would be on buying mode so that on lower cost they can buy it and sell when the market rises in future and make money.

Enthusiast use different strategies. And have different targets when investing initially, and if one has hit his/her target they could pull out profit.
It's not a good time to short considering the current price, so I doubt anyone is selling to buy lower at this point.
Then there are the weak hands who panic sell. These are all just different dynamics of the market

People who need money actually are selling cryptos at this time, those people may be bounty hunters, miners and even investors who bought crypto tokens are went into bad phase of their financial condition. I think this is the right time to hold as many as tokens one can, when market will start recovering every coin will start giving good profit.

Well if you are not selling  your cryptocurrency now that means you are holding it.

But I have not tried this personally but there is a way to peg your coin to the current value well this can help your coin avoid any further dip

We cannot know how the price will react. Maybe those who sell at this price do right thing, cuts losses. However they may have done wrong, maybe after touching $4000 price will increase a lot. In the present situation, all decisions taken can be true or false so time will tell us what is right.

There  is different between investors and traders .. Investors are the one holding their crypto  at this bear market time and the trader who are afraid to lose are selling their  crypto  as cheap price .. Investor will never sell  at cheap because investor  are  ready to hold for long period of time .. When bitcoin was created in 2009  miners who were investors  are now millionaire  and other  who were  traders sold them at cheap price  ..

You know that traders buy and sell at every price level right?

If they bought at ETH at $80 and sold at $160 this week, that's a 100% return. Same as if they bought at $700 and sold at $1400.

selling now is not a good deal, although there is risk that the price of btc will go again to -4k / 3.5k but 2019 will be bullish for sure, may not be right now but it will not be long to come and people will pay dear what they sold.

Few people started selling their crypto because they think the value is not growing as per their expectation and couldn't hold the coins for longer time without getting benefit. i think if the value of btc is not improved much in 2019 then there might be the chances of lot of people will sell their crypto and the market might be in tough situation.

at the moment only stupid people sell their cryptocurrency because it’s understandable and so everything will be fine with the cryptocurrency and you can still make money on it
Only those weak ones are selling right now just to cut their losses. But for those who have been here for long years, for sure they will understand already the market and until now they are still holding their investments.I know definitely as times comes, the market will bound to recover soon.We just need more patience at this moment.

you can't tell everyone that selling their "crypto" is wrong because for majority of them it is a correct move. consider the case of someone who bought an altcoin in its dip after the huge dump that we had a couple of weeks ago. for that person this recovery which is a good rise after that low is a good place to dump that altcoin before it gets dumped on him and he loses his chance.
or for a day trader who has been doing this on every up and down, selling after the "up" is a good choice so that he can buy back when the "down" came. of course in this context up and down can mean something like sell at $4010 and buy back at $3990. rinse and repeat. (just an example though).

There are different kinds of sellers right now and as always. Some sell because they are afraid that the prices would go on falling down. These are the so-called weak hands, those people who are highly emotional. Those who are doing the exact opposite of buy low sell high. They buy when there's green and they sell when there's solid red. There are also those who sell because they have already made profit. There are also those who sell to cut loss. Many good traders also sell but their orders are based on certain analyses. And there are also sellers who are forced to do it, perhaps due to some urgent matters.

Many crypto that have become dust prices have fallen many times over. An alternative that might work without selling it at the lowest price is holding or waiting for the right time to sell it at least when the price is not far from the initial price.

I am of the view that financial markets move in circles.   Time taken by a circle to complete one round may take different time which depends upon different market circumstances.  So as per my opinion ; there is one certain upwards movement of price after the fall of the prices.  Bear trend follows bull trend and bull trend follows the bear one.

I see almost all the people here writing in this thread are positive minded people.  Their writing indicating they are hopeful about recovery of prices in little long term may year or two.
Most of the people writing positive words also shows that negative minded people already left and are already out.    Otherwise there must have been some negative views also about the markets.

Some are not actually selling but day trading in order to take advantage of the price manipulation getting extra coins via pump and dumps. Others need the money so they have to sell even at a loss

These sellers might have lost their faith in their coins and they are also afraid of another sharp price declines this year or they just badly need some money. Many investors are still positive about the growth of cryptocurrencies this year but there are also skeptics and they believe that declines will continue. I believe that it is a good time to buy coin while they are still affordable and time to hold more if you have coins instead of selling them this early.

There are some people who has not enough patience and want to make profit very early, they become depress about crypto and sell off their crypto. Some people lose their trust about crypto because of price falling and sell their crypto. People also sell their crypto for their needs.

I don't want to say that this is a bad time to sell because not all people are running out of money and makes them cannot buy and sell any coins. I am sure that smart trader will not be buying with all of their money and they still have money in their balance to buy at a low price, and they have a chance to sell right now. I am sure that if they can do this, they can survive in any conditions and they don't have to wait for a long time because they still have money to trade.

There is no alternative. Now is the time to buy only. Bitcoin will not be able to go even lower. Those people who are selling bitcoin now (or other coins) make a mistake. It makes sense to wait even at least half a year. Then the direction of the market will become clearer.

exactly . that describes me alot because i sell my cryptos whenever i have them on my wallet and i dont care on what is the status of the market because what is more important to me is my family ,they all gonna be hugry if i cant provide a food on thier plates  .  so far im only depending my needs on cryptos because im still applying for a more stable work outside the crypto scene  .

as soon as i can find one , i guess that was the time that i will now hodl my coins in order to achieve the best possible market value  for a more rewarding experience  .

Everyone has a different way when faced a decrease in prices, for those who believe in the potential of cryptocurrency so when prices decline they will sell first then buy back when prices are low, and they will repeat it when it happens again. However, for those who invest only want profit, they will sell at the lowest price and will not come back again, most of them have despaired especially with the market condition that continues to decline in 2018. I am sure there are many people who have given up investing because price decline in 2018 ago.

I agree. Not all the purpose of a person who has crypto is to invest and gain high when the price grows, other really earning it to have another income which can be used by them when they are in need no matter what price it is. Though it is not helping the market, we cannot stop them because they work for it and it is their decisions.

The most of people simply moved on daily trading with low targets. Long term holding appeared too risky, because of Noone can say what is going to be with bitcoin tomorrow and all high time prognoses we heard the last year didn't came true, so people simply do not know how bitcoin will behave itself.

There's still a lot of these people around. They are trying to hold out, but if shit hits the fan they will sell it all in the blink of an eye. Watch out for a large collapse in the world economy because thats what will set them off. If nothing really bad happens in the economy and there's no panic than I think we are looking at the bottom right now at 4K. It'll be a slow march back to 20K, but with the next having coming in 1.5 years I think that will help it along nicely as we near it.

it is actually a pretty good time to sell your altcoins specially those people who own a lot of different types of shitcoins in their bags because this for many of them is the final dead cat bounce before the final downward death spiral kicks off since the whales are done with them and want to move on to newer and fresher altcoins that they can pump more and make more money from.

generally speaking you want to take your money and put it where it has the best potential with lowest risks, in my opinion that still is bitcoin. then you also want to make more money and that can be done by "short term" involvement with altcoins aka trading them.

Im true believer and holder, ive already accepted my losses from the past year so this year hopefully i can get back my losses and get a little.profit by holding some of the hidden gems.
Speaking of holding I belong to the group of people who hold their cryptocurrencies and I will hold my cryptocurrencies rather than to sell it in this bad condition of market. I'm still believing that I will meet the right time to sell my cryptocurrencies and I will earn more money that will make me rich.

Absolutely not, basically true believer Cryptocurrency people don't selling lower price their own money.but I know lot of crazy people already doing sell their crypto and taking rest.
Now crypto market everyday down,so it is impressive lower price and keep buying time more currency. Obviously,I hope this market will grow higher price.
I was holder too, i still holder, but i wish i sold some at 6500$ flat. My prediction is now we going to the 5500$ and after that go down below 3000$. After that i don't know that will happen, nothin good until 2021.

Those people who didn't want to wait any longer really sell their assets. Even in spite of the fact that they suffer obvious losses. In my opinion it is wrong. Therefore, I stay and keep my portfolio.

Possibly people who believe that if they hold, that they'll find themselves in an even worse time to sell crypto.

People who sold off at US$7000 have been proved right in hindsight. If in six months the price is $3000 or less then those who are selling now will have been proved right.

everyone already knows the current condition of the cryptocurrency has decreased very much and this is a bad time to sell the crypto owned at a low price because it will make them a loss, as much as possible to do when conditions like this are holding back until prices recover , but if you are in need of money and the conditions are very emergency then you can sell your assets but you must understand if you will lose.

There are many factors that can easily influence your  decision to sell your crypto in this bear market. But if you have abundant of bitcoin, you can easily trade some and use it for whatever purpose that you want to.

To be honest, I didn't thought of selling off my crypto. I'm holding my Bitcoin and some altcoins for more than half a year already. I know that I'm in a loss right now but as they say "Patience is virtue". I have the patience to hold my cryptos although I'm thinking of buying Bitcoin and use it for trading to get more Bitcoin or to use it for gambling.

I can say catergorically that those that are busy selling off their holdings at a loss are actually those who never believed in the potentials of cryptocurrency and so any slight market downward trend gets them confused and scared , so they resort to selling even if it's at a miserable rate compared to how much they had bought.
Some selling because they have one challenge or another that needs urgent financial attention.
I think the way forward if for people to believe and have confidence in cryptocurrency.

Yup, bad time to sell... Better time to be buying..

But, that would all depend on a persons money situation. If you don't have money, your probably going to sell instead of buy.

So, the alternative would be: Get a Job.

it's true, some people are currently selling because they need money for their needs every day, indeed the solution to avoid sales is that we have to find work that can make money for our daily needs, so we can maintain and not sell at prices like now , this should be our chance to be able to buy at the current price.

We can still not sell the coins at a low price, but we can reduce the loss by selling them and buying them at a cheaper price. Besides, we take measures to compensate for losses. My friend is using this form very effectively.

If we talk about BTC, about 6 months or more ago i red an article where guys did a research on btc addresses.

They concluded that long term holders sold their btc to short term speculators , this explains why there was a such a big drop because short term speculators bought in above 6k

Based on people mind and requirements they are selling their crypto. Someone is not believing and in panic sell their coins and few require money for some urgent need also sell their crypto. But to earn good profit one has to hodl the coin for long term and when the market pumps up they can sell and earn.

I believe that there are two kind of people who sell when it's not a good time for it; those who have no other option but to sell cause they need cash, and those who are not taking serious crypto world, heard about possibility of making profits, invested and when saw that things are not going like they thought it will, make an escape out of the crypto investment.
A friend of mine find extra job, just not to sell his coins because it's not the right time. Couple of my other friends are mining some coins and not so long ago they were mining with minus profit, but they also don't care to much about it because they strongly believe that things will turn into other direction.
Different kind of people, different point of view, different actions and reactions.

Selling crypto assets in the beginning of 2019 is a bad idea and only deranged people will do it. Having a rough last year was unacceptable for the crypto world and it was the best time to hold because of bear market. So, this year it's the best time to hold more because bull run is coming soon and markets are already showing great sign about it.

Solding at a loss right now is too risky, we should not do that not unless you really need the money. If you bought during the peak last year, then its good for you to hold more this year because the price will hit that level again. It takes time, but we can go beyond that this year so be confident and stop panicking, don’t sold it for less.

Only people who are selling their crypto are those who join the crypto ecosystem with an initial idea of becoming rich by investing all their money into cryptocurrency. They sell their crypto whenever there is some kind of drop in the market value of the coin they have invested in it. They are just concern about the profit crypto can bring them once they invest in it.

People who sell their crypto now was regret to see the market increase in this few days because many coins give a good movement in the market and many of them can increase and break the bigger walls. I think if they decide to buy back their coins, they will not get a low price again because the price is on the middle price which they can buy now. But no one knows if the price still at a price now or even gets down because it depends on bitcoin price movement itself.

in general, people who sell crypto currencies are people who have gained profits in investing in crypto currencies, or also people who panic about the development of crypto currencies that are getting worse
There are only few selling their coins( I think 2%), mostly are in the hold as they are seeking for pumps ahead. Everyone's will looking on it but still no one knows when it arrives. Many will speculating for another ATH this year and that's a big challenge for everyone pushing them to hold rather than of selling even seeing a small profits( aren't good enough for them).

of course, the seller is an investor who has little confidence in the price of crypto currency and maybe someone who needs money in an emergency
I will not completely agree, maybe somewhat it's true but have you forgotten the whales, they are also selling and they have a big volume to sell.
Whales like day traders are constantly selling and buying, if they find an opportunity to be profitable they will sell that but that does not mean they will not buy again because once the market dump, they also take advantage on buying cheap coins from the weak holders.

There are probably a few different kinds of people selling their coins, the first type are the ones which are panicking, they are seeing the price going down again and probably that was enough to scare them, then you have the speculators that do not really care about the health of the market and only care about the profits in their pockets and finally you have the smart investors which care about the technology and invest long term but that are moving their money to tether or fiat to protect themselves.

Many experts were saying that Bitcoin will go up to 20000 or 50000 by the end of 2018. You can google those people and check it out.
Dan Morehead from Pantera said it's going to 20000. Tom Lee predicted 25000. Max Keiser was also very wrong with his price prediction.

Newbies are selling. You can see that there's always a big pump of thousands of coins being bought and then it goes sideways for a while and then there's a big dump. Rich people are making money and small traders are losing. All institutions are buying off the market.

Everyone knows that this is a bad time to sell. Yet there are people selling off out of dienchantment. What alternatives are there instead of selling your crypto on the low? https://cryptoinfowatch.com/sell-your-bitcoin-cash-lenders-coming-to-the-rescue-of-wearied-hodlers/
No profit will be received when you sell it when dipped, I personally assume those who sell when a crash is happening because they panic and they are ready to sell even though they know it will be a loss. But there are some people who have long hold and then the market crashes and at the same time he has an urgent need that requires him to have money quickly, when this is how investors and long term holders must face obstacles, he will be willing to sell even though they know consciously if that hasn't reached the expected profit.

There is no world you will say to a desperate man that will end his desperation because the are already frustrated with the current happening in the the entire cryptocurrency market and at that are ready to sell at any price just to get it off their mind. But if you can hold for a little longer then winning is yours.

If you are in doubt now - read the forecasts for the coming year. Many analysts, experts and other ordinary rectors say that in 2019 bitcoin will grow in price. This should give you more faith in your investment.

It is not surprising that so many people had to give up on bitcoin. Usually these are people who have not properly studied the crypto currency and think that such a drop in price is the end. But it is worth waiting, because the price increase will happen soon, a little patience.

now the price is too low to sell unless you really need the money you invest in crypto. It's better to be patient, wait a moment to see if the market will recover.
Yeah, its not the best time for selling your coins because its too cheap. Today is the right time for you to invest more, grab it now. After a short pump we are seeing now the market in a bloody red again, but its ok since this is just a preparation for a bigger pump so keep on buying especially bitcoin.
Those who are in need are the one who decide whether to sell or find another way to have money and leave the crypto alone till it get higher. For me, it doesn't matter if I sell it because I earn it and be my options when I need an extra money. Though the price is low, I have to get it and earn again.

Selling your Crypto Currencies does not mean you are selling low all the time, most of the traders are selling anytime and any kind of market condition as long as it is profitable and they will earn a profit by doing it. Professional traders always find an opportunity whether the market is in a bullish state or in a bearish state and there is nothing wrong about it as long that the person knows what is he/she doing and knows the risks of this kind of industry.

Lots of people with weak hands sell as soon as the first sign of trouble appears. People who makes big money are the people who HODL through tough times.
But people who make even bigger money are people who do trading and take advantage of the market situations with due diligence. Hodling is a good way to earn a profit in the long run and I agree about it. :)

The deep fear of making many people sell crypto they have, they see crypto price movements that always go down and ultimately the price decreases over time. Many people think to avoid the risk of greater losses and in the end they sell crypto in a state of loss, only people who are able to be patient and always have confidence in what they invest that will eventually become winners and benefit through what they invest, I still believe crypto will be able to provide benefits for me and that is why I will continue to hold the crypto until it's time I have to sell and in the end it will be able to profit through crypto.

Not everyone who is selling now bought their cryptos at a high price in 2017, some of them have had their assets since 2016 or earlier, some of them could also be either loosing their trust in the market or just trying to stay away from it at least for now.

Crypto prices will always move, sometimes go up and sometimes go down, and those who invest crypto will also have felt the pleasure of the investment profits and have also suffered losses from crypto investments. Profit and loss is very reasonable in an investment, because indeed every time there will be a price movement, and finally we must realize that those who succeed and can get big profits through crypto investment are people who understand what they invest and have knowledge that wide range of factors that can influence price movements and be patient in waiting for rising crypto prices.

people who think bitcoin will continue to fall till it gets to zero are the ones selling off their bitcoins. once they hear anything they are off to sell without critically analyzing things.

That would be the worst trader I would knew.

Investors should wait and be patient in the current market. We don't know what might happen, we don't know what is happening but all we know is that it is really bad to sell right now. If they can't stomach the current market, they should not focus on the crypto market right now, they should focus on other things so they will not worry to their investments.

Those people who already pissing off are also selling as they losing the trust that they've have when they first invest to this industry, accepting that losing is also part of investing and trying to move forward, or trying to sort things out and do some short trade so they can make a break even, but that's another risk as the market is really volatile and bearish seems to overpower again the bull try.

Well weak hands selling their coins because they are panic and big whales playing big game with investors.
price will rise very soon and weak hands will sell all coin and then they will regret.
When whales will done with market then market start rising, they just want to buy all coin at cheap prices. Good Luck!

I think that only stupid people sell their coins and they will lose their money because of their own financial illiteracy
Trust me they are going to be so sad in future because selling  now is the bad thing which makes price fallen more and more for other investors at the same time it’s not good for you because now it’s ‘time to buy more not to sell out. Most of the time whales use this trick to buy at low price. They sell high number of bitcoin to dump the market then again buy low to hold so keep holding and don’t be a whale.

The people selling off their Cryptos aggressively are those that don't know what crypto is all about. Those selling crypto are the ones that don't know that crypto is here to stay. Those selling off their crypto are that have not make out time to research on past  historic data of crypto.
In other words, some joined crypto in Dec 2017 just because of the bullish market crypto is into, and seeing that crypto price went down, they sell. Some expected that there will be a bullish market in the Dec 2018,but that never happened so they sell.As it stands, some don't even research on crypto they invested in.Some don't know that crypto needs time to be developed. So,once impatient people  see their predictions are not met, they start selling.
However, some have not known that the people that made huge amount of money in crypto didn't make it by selling aggressively. Some of them hold crypto for 4 years or more. They don't care if the market is moving up and down. These are verified facts some may not know, but that is the truth.

there are several variations of coins that have stable prices, there is another reason than you mentioned is that they choose to play safe while not too monotonous to survive with bitcoin, other assumptions are also related to trading various altcoins and they must sell their bitcoin assets to prospects profit. But I'm sure they also know when it's time to go back to Bitcoin.

The Market is too much risky now and getting in now can be risky for short term traders. If you want to enter for long term and have the tendency to hold the coins, then its no risk and that's good time to buy. Even if prices go down a bit more, they will recover very soon.

I think these are short-term investors or not crypto followers. They only invest in the movement and the bad market makes them fear and sell all the coins they are holding. At this point people should think and make reasonable decisions to avoid losses. For me, I continue to invest more and wait.

these times are different. it is not like u invested 15,000 and lost to 6000 in a quick flash. the price at 3600 can be volitile. i think the flash crashes wont be as bad. the most it can be affected is at a drop to 2400. only a 1000 drop. u never know to hold at the moment. the moment can go back up to 4200. its just depend on the investor.

The current price decline in the market is indeed a bit surprising, because many experts estimate that this year the crypto price will soon surge, after experiencing a severe crisis last year, but in reality crypto is still having difficulty achieving its best price
Honestly I am a little bit surprised as well, while I was not expecting a huge recovery I was expecting at least a recovery of bitcoin to its previous price of 6000 and remain there for some time, but instead the price went down again, however the price does not move in a linear way and after some movement forward taking a few steps back seems natural so I am still not giving up and I still think we will see something like that during the next months.

Lots of investors expect the bull run at the onset of 2019, since this is not happening, lots of individual that HLOD had to sell of in order to have access to basic amenities amd also meet personal needs. Be strategic like the whale in order to earn big.
Not really sure what this means as the OP and subsequent debate is about the categories of those selling and the reasons why. If people are selling because they need their money then they probably did not invest what they could afford to lose which is one of the basic principles of investing.

There is no how everyone will hold and some need to sell for others to buy but the trader can only determine which price he wishing to buy or sell and that makes the market what it is today even if it when down to #0 people will still sell and some will definitely buy , but most trading volume is for day trader who buy and sell at a glance of little gain .

There are no explanation for the large volume sale at that price. I expect a level of hodling that will pump the price but the crypto market is not always the way we predict. the fake volume from exchanges are also capable of giving wrong information of the price and market but it wont be for long in the year.

Yes and what I find even more surprising is hardly any sign of putting buying pressure when there are close to 8 billion people in this world and half of them know about Cryptocurrency and here they are given a great opportunity yet I can tell that most never did, in fact probably still way more money was spent buying lottery tickets at 7 eleven yet these are high probable winning lottery tickets.  It's kind of ridiculous already that investors dropped cryptocurrency prices 40% from a 6000 bitcoin because bakkt was delayed from dec 12 to January 24.

The alternative can be any. You can engage in trading or continue to invest. The options are actually a lot, you only need to choose the right one for you and do not despair. Sell now in any case is not profitable, so keep your assets until better times.

Well i think we have all different reason of selling. But most of the reason is really the needs and the continueous deoppingvof the price. The people really wanted to sell because they cannot maybe recover the big lost if the price is continue to drop. We are now still on the very huge dip and this is really bad for those who buy thier asset in a big amount with a big capital. Maybe they lost almost 90% of thier asset if they buy last December 2017.  I still believe that we need to hold our asset today to gain more profit soon.

Samehere, i sold part of my coins for emergency purpose but I left some sufficient amount of coins for long term hold. I also occasionally trade some of my coins whenever I have free time. I think bitcoin and other cryptocyrrencies might suffer more declines this year  before going up again. I sell only when I badly need a money and that money often come from the result my trades.

Generally people will afraid of their investment when the price is coming continuously down but in the situation the price becoming very stable but the development will be very low and so people selling their cryptocurrency but my opinion is while the prices table it is very healthy for the development so wait for some time to do something better with your knowledge.

Now it makes no sense to sell bitcoin! You will get the minimum cost. The best solution is to keep Bitcoin on. In a year it will become clear what to do for sure.

P.S.
Or you can sell just part of bitcoin if you need money now.

For me, instead of selling crypto at a cheap price that causes losses, maybe we can buy back some crypto that has a great opportunity for us to be able to make a profit. Because I see that prices will not always go down forever, surely there will come a time when prices rise again and can make us profitable, we may have to be patient to wait for these prices to rise and not be carried away by emotions or fear of loss makes us panic and sell in loss condition.

I dont agree with you that big investors are waiting for bull run, if you check properly then they are the one who exited on top and now they are slowly accumulating in low. Only the small investors and panic sellers and buyers are selling and buying. who have entered market in high and now they are crying.
