Title: Bitcoin related cartoon
Post by: TimtheYoutuber on January 11, 2019, 11:25:28 PM
If you enjoy this share it to friends :)

The episode "Bitcoins History" is now live: https://youtu.be/6I3KuM5KFjo

Cut scene into Bitmain's new Ant miner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYCz2S6Nn14&feature=youtu.be

The Episode "The crypto stork" is on hold due to voice acting problems.

Crypto Zoo
E.1. "The Crypto Stork"

I am in the middle of creating a cryptocurrency cartoon show in Paint. I already have over 100 scenes done. The show is going to be based around cryptocurrency and will be a comedy show talking about recent events etc

The first episode is a play on "fork" and will talk about Satoshi's vision and Cash.

This clip will obviously have audio etc when finished and will be around 10 minutes long. I just wanted to show how the scenes will work. Subscribe if you like it, and you will get a notification when the actual video is live.

Where do you get information about Bitcoin? Do you watch Youtube video's or just read the daily news?

Okay, the graphics actually work quite well. (see my comment on your thread in Project development)
Now I'm really curious what sort of audio you're going to add to it.

Definitely enjoy this type of content, gave you your first like on the video :P

I am thinking of making a beat myself for the intro, the audio will be the character's talking which will be from friends. I will likely only voice 1 character and my friends will do others.

Very nice thought OP, that you are going to audience with vision and use case of bitcoin.
Otherwise most of the YouTubers are just shilling  to buy bitcoins so that you can sell it more for tomorrow.

I only read daily news and watch youtube, I think it's enough to understand the concept of BTC, because it's not difficult.

even BTC related to cartoons will only make it difficult for us to understand the blockchain concept.

It would really be nice to see a full Simpson’s episode about crypto, where all the citizens would have their own blockchain and they all would be living the lambo dream for a few mins.
Even though they would make fun of the crypto community and the episode would end with a reset to the old normal, meaning everyone, or almost everyone, would lose everything, it cut be fun to watch.

How will the cartoon make it difficult for you? Also daily news has 90% garbage in it. How many times do we need to read Tom Lee predicting a bitcoin price?

I honestly wish there were more high quality stuff with crypto. everything is shitty thus far

This does sadly have some truth in it, but it is so early on.

My cartoon wont be near simpsons quality but I think the jokes and comedy will surprise you if you watch the simpsons. I make sort of the same style jokes within the cartoon.

Maybe you are learning how to make cartoons, and as you are a crypto supporter, now you are making/practising cartoons about crypto! That's the spirit of a crypto lover. I subscribed and waiting for the 10 minutes long video. In this condition, these types of entertainment can help us to move forward with enjoyment ;D . Good Luck

introducing bitcoin to a wider community can be done in several ways.
one way is to advertise with cartoons or animated films, the goal is clear so that the wider community can understand and know what bitcoin is,
if socialization of bitcoin is able to handle all levels of society then the potential of bitcoin will be very large.
will create the desire of business people to be able to use bitcoin in each of their buying and selling transactions.
this is only a small part of how to introduce bitcoin to the general public.

Not bad for an opening scene. At least there are pictures of the moon inside. Is that for "to the moon"?
And again I always get the latest information about Crypto from this forum and the media that I have subscribed to.

It is very interesting about the videos that you made, but with the very right purpose in making the videos that will benefit you later, I think this is very rare that only a few people make it that way, so I think it just lacks audio to fix a video ..

Your colors are too faded and unpolished and I did not get the relationship between Fox TV and Donald Trump and the dove.  ::) The message should be your strongest feature and I am not getting it.

I know cartoons like this must not be perfect, but this one looks like kids art. <How old are you?> Please see these comments as constructive criticism, I am not doing this to spit on your Art.  :(

The audio wasn't added. I was just showing how transitions will work etc. The plot and audio wasn't in the video. I think you just watched the video without reading the thread.... The art isn't supposed to be professional, the plot is though. So if you like crypto then you will enjoy it if you look past the bad designs. If this got popular I could hire someone to actually design it.

That's a good effort, after going through the entire episode only can understand better about the same. I would suggest you to go with a animation movies that'll show the evolution of bitcoin from a technology that can be used all around in each and everything. Another thing videos will easily stay in the mind than what one read from a book. So, better content better will be the information spread.

High appreciation for you. Hopefully, other content can provide further education so that people can get to know more about the development of bitcoin and its functions. Making animations like this is much easier to capture by people than reading a few books about bitcoin because visualization of animation makes it easy for people to remember something they see rather than something they read.

Honestly?  If you have a script, then carry on working on that.  There are probably lots of people out there with the proper drawing skills/tools who would love to help make a cartoon.

At the very least, upgrade to Paint.Net as it is free and MUCH, MUCH better than paint.  It does layers, so you can have text on one, trees on another and the bird on another. Then you can show and hide the different layers as necessary.  Also, use text tools for text and line tools/shapes for objects.  It is impossible to to draw with a mouse.  If you use thicker lines they will look less blocky and Paint.Net will also smooth them out as well.

I will certainly look into it. I think the big thing right now is to get it out there. That way I can see what worked and what didn't for the next one. I am mainly looking to make this a funny cartoon about crypto, not necessarily heavy in information but I think most people who aren't developers would rather have a laugh then learn about atomic swaps. Most people just want to know "how do I send and receive, and is it safe." When the cartoon comes out I think you will see.

This is the hope for sure. I would love it if someone could design it because that's the reason it has taken so long lol, so if someone designed it then it would take a whole lot off my shoulders. I can look into upgrading if it doesnt ruin what I have so far.

very good idea, I sign up, it's interesting to see it! The main thing is that you enjoy working with it, and people will appreciate it.

I noticed that the people in spite of their adulthood love cartoons, especially those that carry a bit of humor and truth, or common sarcasm. For example, thanks to cartoons, I memorize more information, it easily enters the head, and is easily perceived without any resistance. For creative people this is an ideal option, get acquainted with the world of cryptophalut without stress!

I defiantly hope people become interested in crypto after watching it, but the main goal is to make the crypto community laugh. Lots of the jokes will be crypto related, so if you have been in the community for a week you will understand a good amount. However I don't want it to be super crypto heavy so I have made some other jokes that anyone can enjoy.

The quality make laugh bro. But, keep it on. We well see it until it done, and dont get angri if we criticize about it. ;)

I am certainly able to take criticism. I am not trying to become a design artist though, so I would rather have people comment on the actual dialog or story. I am 100% ready to get someone to do the design of it if people actually watch this. I have someone in mind right now, but they might be charging to much for it.

If you need a received English accent, I'd be happy to provide some audio for you.

I have someone in the UK with an English accent if that is what you mean, but sure why not. I will contact you in a bit when I have another character dialog and you can voice it if you would like.

Yeah I am going to try and make it funny. It will have information about cryptocurrency but it is mainly to make people laugh. However if it was just pure jokes then it might get stale quick.

There will be voice acting, I have a few people who are recording their voices now. Once they are added I will have to mess around with the cartoon some more and once the editing is lined up the cartoon will be released.

Yeah this has taken a long long long time. But mostly because I can't work on it 8 hours a day since I need to put food on the table :P

However if a bunch of people watched this, and a designer contacted me about designing it then it could be alot faster.

When your show comes out, do not forget to share the link. The ICO project that has been collecting cryptocurrency for the world's first film, shot thanks to ICO fees, was recently completed. Despite the difficult situation in the crypto market, the project managed to collect a hard-cup and the world's first film created with cryptocurrency will be released in 2019. The world is changing. I wish you that you also managed to create a unique and sought-after product that will appeal to your viewers. As far as I understand, you don’t need to raise funds for the development of the project, so I simply wish you success.

The bird doesn't look like a stork :)

I was hoping to see comedy or some kind of sarcastic talks about bitcoin or probably dark comedy with it. I was amaze how South park had come up to their scene, its like the old time stock trading where they'd have to talk over the phone to bid. I'd be good to see these kind of scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD0mrmmYaKQ

Crypto Zoo

27 second clip https://youtu.be/vfT1Nwdeu8g

This clip will obviously have audio etc when finished and will be around 10 minutes long. I just wanted to show how the scenes will work. Subscribe if you like it, and you will get a notification when the actual video is live.

Where do you get information about Bitcoin? Do you watch Youtube video's or just read the daily news?

Ive already seen this post somewhere with exactly the same content dont know if it does because OP wants to have merit by posting it on different thread. But anyways, do you have any progress with the video? Im looking forward and excited with the finnished product.

What is important in these things is not the graphics or animations, but the message. That said, I hope the real thing is going to be much better than the intro. It reminds me of those animations we used to do on the side of our notebooks during boring classes and lectures. Keep it coming.

That is a nice one having a bitcoin cartoon in place but at that if it will only be promoted on YouTube is will help enlighten the entire world about bitcoin but talking about bitcoin and Santoshi in an act of cartoon will be highly sensitive because you need to give further information about the whereabout of Santoshi and what bitcoin really is.

Ive never asked or mentioned merit so I dont know why you would assume that. I could care less about rank or whatever merit does. Yes I have still been working on it along with another cartoon episode. Its tough to fit in time as I need to work etc However it is coming along and it will be finished soon. Just watched it, honestly it needs a lot of improvement, I know how hard to create an animation but yours needed tons. Try to add more colors since it's quite boring to watch especially that 27 second clip.

I appreciate your effort but the first scene should catch the audience attention to finish the episode. If the first scene was boring they'll just click the next video.

I'll follow this to see how things work out. Try to keep the explanations simple enough for newbies. I agree with you that humor is a good way to engage audience. Many old cartoons have crude looking feel (Beavis and Butthead) but still developed a following.

True but given the tools he have at his disposal (Paint) it's good enough. I myself intend to learn basic animation, maybe he can use something like Flash so he don't have to make it frame by frame?

Good start my friend. Needs a lot of improvement tho , seeing the title i was expecting more of what i saw. I appreciate the effort still for I know its hard to make a frame-by-frame animation. Need more details to make it smother , overall tho a quite decent start. And btw , that one on the tv of the last part , is that ? Trump ? Haha , quite a good skill really . What software did you use on this project ?

having a bitcoin related cartoon is not a bad idea. I feel its good for our kids. Though bitcoin and blockchain is too complex for them to understand, having a bitcoin related cartoon will enable them see pictures of bitcoin stuff and from experience things kids watch on tv easily stick to their brain. That way they get to have slight idea about bitcoin and as they grow their knowledge about bitcoin also grows

Wait, you did this in Paint? How? Anyway, I'd recommend Autodesk Sketchbook book if you are looking for a better drawing program with an animate feature. It's free and available for both desktop and mobile so you can bring your work with you. I'd suggest you get something like Adobe Animate though so you don't need to draw frame by frame.

Good luck in your project.

Wait, you did this in Paint? How?

The paint application in Windows?? Ms paint? Well, if that so, that must be difficult and time consuming to draw all of it. Although the OP could improve the drawing by using the line tool that curves 2 times. I could draw in MS paint by just using that tool, but it will really suck your time just to create a single character.
Neverhless, I appreciate the effort the OP gave to his presentation, more importantly is the content even if the visualization isnt satisfactory.

That's what I was wondering coz if it was MS Paint he'll need another program to animate it. Photoshop can also make gifs and stuff but I'm assuming it'll be crude compared to Animate

The hope for this early build will be to get enough popularity to where I can find a designer to actually create it. I can write the episodes and then have someone design it for me so it looks more professional. Designing it in paint takes a long time.

I can have it looked animated on MS Paint like in the video in the OP. I basically have to make a different scene for every action, and when all of the scenes are added in a line with short durations it can look like it is moving.

Because we all know and aware that children are all amazed to cartoons and really wanted to watch cartoon what ever the concepts of the cartoon is. We should accept the fact about that, because that is the reality about the likes of children, maybe not all but almost. So by using this Bitcoin related cartoon, the children can exposed to the Bitcoin in their young age which is also a preparation for their future.

Bitcoin related cartoon is such a good  and helpful idea to give awareness and necessary information for them to be guided accordingly. Cartoon realted movies and shows give a sense of entertainment and would attract more viewers and open greater opportunities to increase its demand.

I advise you to buy a graphics tablet. At least the cheapest. This will improve the graphics in your videos very well.
Then try improving your sound. You can try software editors for sound (Audacity for example). You can remove background noise and make your voice more pleasant. I like your idea. And how you implemented it. It is only necessary to  improve the technical part little bit.

A cartoon is a brilliant idea!

Are you making it in paint because of the challenge?

It helps spread the world really well because if one image speaks more than one thousand words, then imagine a lot of images one after another in rapid succession. I really like cartoons personally, you're never too young or too old to watch some once in a while.

I do think the voice and graphics are a problem for the videos, but hopefully, if the content and story are good it will give me enough time to win everyone over as I improve the quality of the videos. Only the people who are already have background history about Bitcoin can understand your video, it's boring and out of the newest way to introduce history. If you want to gain more viewers, you should at least put some colors more, make it a child friendly video like the larva and other 3D short animation. Over all: It is boring, sad but true, effort is not enough, put more to it.

Crypto Zoo

Great effort
I consider this work a good contribution in spreading the idea
crypto needs a lot of effort and the cartoon area is loved and has an audience.

Very nice thought OP, that you are going to audience with vision and use case of bitcoin.
Otherwise most of the YouTubers are just shilling  to buy bitcoins so that you can sell it more for tomorrow.
the way of thinking of bitcoin owners must be changed, don't make bitcoin as a merchandise whose function is only for profit, so maybe through cartoon film we can provide an understanding of what bitcoin is made. they are used as a medium of exchange in the sale and purchase of any item.

I think videos about bitcoin must be instructive and of high quality and educate people.
If bitcoin is the subject of cartoons, it is necessary to inform and educate children and be attractive to them. This is their technology. and bitcoin is the first step for the future towards a good digital era.

Cartoons are a good way to insert an idea into the minds of people, especially the younger ones, something that we saw in the Cold War and had good results.

Bitcoin is like a dream come true, when a group of people who want digital unrelated currencies from banking and transactions to occur peer to peer, it finally becomes a reality.
After that, of course, it must be socialized and promoted both through social media and conventional media, discussions, seminars, even through television media such as films, cartoons, logos, competitions, and others aimed at popularizing bitcoin. If all goes well, we can be sure that Bitcoin in the next decade will become the world's digital currency.

I mean with the general style of it etc.

This one was already pretty good, could just use a little bit more polish. I think I've mentioned that already in your other thread though.

The next video will have a different structure because it will run like a TV episode instead of just a small clip. The design will be a lot better and the audio will be fixed. I will be spending a lot more time on the full episode.

Using Paint? As in Paint application in PCs? I think it's better if you'll use much proper animation softwares like Pencil 2D but Pain was all fine especially if you are not so expert and only doing this for fun :).

Well I would save this in my diary and would be looking towards it.
But would cartoon gets the attention of possible investors or a good number of individuals now that's the big question?

Most fans of cartoons if am correct would be kids and teens
I think it is possible that cartoons will get the ttention of possible investors or a good number of individuals as for the crypto enthusiasts with kids they are going to introduce to them or show it or even convince them to watch it for future preferrences. Kids are curious about things so I am very optimistic for your job well done. This will help adtvertise and spread the news about Bitcoin in a funny and simple way.

A couple of things?
  • What would the joke be?  What does trump say at the end?
  • What video editing software do you have?
  • How old are you?

If the joke was worth it, I could do some illustrations for you.  ANYTHING would look better than your current drawings.  I could see something a bit "south park" working.  Message me.

Cut scene into Bitmain's new Ant miner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYCz2S6Nn14&feature=youtu.be
Where do you get information about Bitcoin? Do you watch Youtube video's or just read the daily news? [/u]

What you convey in your video seems to have a distinctive style of 'rigid cartoons' but is clear and easy to understand, I also give Likes+Subscribe to your videos.

Making a cartoon that tackle about cryptocurrencies will help us to advertise bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This kind of clip may be the key that even the children will develop their skill in cryptocurrencies and at a very you age they may know what cryptocurrency is.

Right!. I think this kind of video will be of interest to children because the movements of their characters are stiff like robots, making them easy to understand what the speaker is saying. By educating children as early as possible especially about cryptocurrency, I think this will have a good effect on crypto development in the future, so they are no longer rigid in using it.

Where do you get information about Bitcoin? Do you watch Youtube video's or just read the daily news?

I like the two that are important the contents are correct, not HOAX, FUD or making it up.

Bitcoin is increasingly popular with the incessant promotion of both conventional media and internet media, especially in communities that exist everywhere by providing education, understanding and benefits that can be obtained with bitcoin investment.
Besides that cartoon media is also increasingly popularizing bitcoin because it is in television and movies in cinemas, where it talks about bitcoin with stories that are easily understood by the audience.

Wow, what you do is very innovative. I used to get information about bitcoin from various sources, namely online news, videos on youtube, or ads on social media that appeared suddenly. Cartoon videos related to bitcoin certainly have a positive influence on bitcoin. Bitcoin will be increasingly recognized by the public and public trust in bitcoin will increase. Although this idea is very good, new and meaningful, but I think the video graphics are not really satisfying. Cartoons most viewers are children and really children do not know Bitcoin, it's like another world. Even so, 3D images will probably appeal to all ages. Good luck with your work.

I believe that you can create good quality cartoons not only for children, but also for adults.  But if we are talking about cryptocurrency, then the cartoon should be primarily informative, with certain features that can talk about cryptocurrency.  Such cartoons can be very popular for elementary schools, so that children begin to study cryptography from the elementary grades.

I have thought more about this, and I won't be using anyone to create the graphics. I like them the way it is.

This isn't supposed to be extremely HQ and fancy. I did the entire project myself and that is the way I am going to keep it.

This project is fun and laid back, so I won't be changing it unless someone contacts me to design it.
