Bank Society Coin is a free open source decentralized project derived from Bitcoin. It's an experimental project with the goal of providing a long-term energy-efficient scrypt-based crypto-currency. You're using this software with no guarantees or warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk! Adjustments based on network hashrate, previous block difficulty simulating real bullion mining: If the difficulty rate is low; using excessive work to produce low value blocks does not yield large return rates. When the ratio of difficulty adjusts and the network hashrate remains constant or declines: The reward per block will reach the maximum level, thus mining becomes very profitable.

This algorithm is intended to discourage >51% attacks, or malicous miners. It will also act as an automatic inflation adjustment based on network conditions.

There is always a reason for a premine... We created Bank Society Coin as a next generation coin.
However, it was also created to rescue the BankNotes coin holders, as the coin died leaving everyone
holding coins worth nothing.

The premine had to be sufficient to cover the swap of Banknotes coins into SOCI.

This is the only reason for the premine, please do not judge us by the actions of other
more dubious coin creations.

Only the first 100 blocks were premined.

Most of these blocks were Proof of Stake mined with Masternodes. I think that only around 25k blocks
have been mined by Proof of Work miners.

Bank Society is not restricted to 750k PoW blocks this may be changed very easily. Especially, as the society
coin generates far more blocks than imagined with PoS Staking and Masternode rewards ( 75% from staking ).

Yes we would like another mining pool, this provides choice for our miners.

I cannot get the daemon compiled .... I'm running on Centos 7, I've been compiling coins for over a year now and never had this problem before .... complaining about gmp..., I had to use -std=c++11 .... still no luck.
Anyone else having problems with compiling and the solution?

it's in the makefile, edit with nano or vi
xCXXFLAGS= -std=c++11 ( add to front )
Then you need to perform
make -f makefile.unix clean
Then
make -f makefile.unix

I'll update this fix over the weekend and also add the Ubunto 16 wallet binary.

Github has been updated with source code that resolved previous issue found when building Ubuntu.

I'll work on this and remove this output from the societyd daemon this week.

The coin has not been listed no, debug is essential at the moment to help resolve
issues. Another 8 weeks, all debug outputs will be removed.

I tried to mine on your pool but too many work restarts, this means that you might be connected to
a master that is a Masternode.

I have seen this with other pools.

DiMarco, who runs 'NewPool.eu' is part of the Bank Society Coin holders, he noticed a few inconsistencies or bugs that were inherited from the
source of the forked project. I have resolved most of these issues in my current development work, but I have also increased wallet performance, reduced
CPU usage and I am currently increasing synching time of the wallet.

Once all of these features are completed and we release the wallet, DiMarco will resume Bank Society Coin mining in his pool.

The only way to buy miners is direct, or on E-Bay (paid with Paypal).  If someone wants you to pay with BTC use a TRUSTED escrow.  There are so many scams out there, it's like the wild west!!

I have bought and sold miners on E-Bay, and I have to file claims a couple times.  But all in all, for a used miner it's the way to go.

If you want a new Antminer, buy direct from Bitmain.

I think there is something wrong with my bitmain since it says everything is forever a " Sell out "

Findblocks.com is the only pool.  Plus there is less than 100,000 blocks left to mine.

1) where are you mining?
2) what are you mining with?
3) No one here has anything to do with the price, the price is set by buyers and sellers.
4) Unless you are solo mining you won't get the full block value, there are other miners and pool fees.

I was solo mining but now there is too many people in the pool and what I got after 12 hours mining this morning to my offline wallet was what I was getting every 2 hours something is wrong with payouts now.

Regardless as to the current market conditions I am 450% short on deposits.  How difficult are you making this?

What pool are you solo mining on?  As far as I know there are none.  If you are having problems with a pool shorting you, take it up with them, if you are having problems with the exchange take it up with them.

Again I ask, what pool and what hardware are you using?

So you are mining with 135 Mh, and you solo mined 10,000 coins already.  If you are solo mining, you must be using your own computer to mine to.  If you have issues, bring them up with yourself.

If you have a TX to the exchange and they never got there, again take it up with them.

I have been mining on findblocks for weeks, all my deposits have made it to my wallet.  So you are not solo mining?  You are just feeding us a line of shit.  I have over 1GH there and right now I'm getting about 16% of the block.  With yours you are getting what 1%?

No matter what you do, or what coin you mine are are going to get paid on what your hashrate produces.  Right now there are no solo pools.  Why set one up?  Mining is over in 90,000 or so.
If you are looking for the big score, point your miner at tbdice and take a chance solo mining for a litecoin block.
Most of us here mining are planning on holding anyway, if the coin price goes up we're in good shape.
Between mining, masternode and staking rewards SOCI is doing very well for me.  But I haven't cashed in anything yet.

Well thats good advice I am looking for the " Big Score " .  How long would I mine at tbdice before I win a block.  No one ever wins with LTC1 address's I noticed and it all those are ignored like me how do I get paid the same people keep winning over and over again at bitcoin and litecoin I have seen some very disturbing impossible trends.  I doubt anything is random but after 3300 in bitcoin theft that I have sustained who doesn't deserve to win a full litecoin block.

First you have to realize, crypto is like the wild west.  If a deal is too good to be true is it.
Why do the same pools keep finding block after block?  Because they have thousands of ASICs mining.  There is a solo pool for BTC .ck, it's called playing the lottery.  Same with TBDice.  I have scored many LTC blocks there and have always gotten paid.  But again it's the lottery.  You may find a block in a day, week for never.

That's why it's called the lottery.

Also http://zergpool.com will allow you to solo mine q bunch of scrypt coin.  Just remember it's a marathon, not a sprint.

If you are looking for a quick big payout, crypto is not for you....

Been around here a long time.  Rule #1, never pay for something in crypto unless you use a TRUSTED excrow.  There are people here, on E-Bay other forums that want you to pay with crypto.  Not going to happen and you will get burned!!  I sell miners all the time on E-Bay, I have no problems with PayPal because I actually have and ship what I sell.

I have been burned also, coin scams, masternode scams.  I'm not just making shit up, I'm taking from years of doing crypto.  I have seen DEVs take the money and run, exchanged take the money and run, and scammers take the money and run.

You lick your wounds and life goes on.  Learn from your fails...  and if it's too good to be true, RUN!!!

Ok I added the node in the file and added staking I will try to follow web directions to stake my node when I get to 20000

Staking will start when you have mature coins, When a new wallet comes out a masternode is going to be 200000.  When staking is active the arrow will turn green.  The more coins you have the more you will stake.  Right now a masternode is still 10000 coins.

Interesting 10,000 coins well I might be able to try sending them to myself and starting a stake with tx ect... This is fun isn't it suppose to be?

Not too good to be true?  I am mining at 3% which I think is super steep man...

When the arrow goes green hover over it and it will tell you when you stake.  It will go into your wallet and the coins used for staking will show up under the stake area.  Until the staked coins mature you can't spend them.  As for the amount, I'm not sure, Jimmy can answer that.

The 3% fee sucks, but it's the only game in town.
